This is the portion of sweet potato fries that came as a paid side order $4+ it was intentionally spread out to depict quantity and quality

Disappointed with Bill's Grill . 1 star. Paid $4.50 for a pathetic, tiny side that looked like the burnt bottom of a bag. Instead of fixing the issue, the owner responded to my review by insulting me and claiming my fresh order was just "leftovers." from my meal!! It was a take away. Unprofessional management that refuses to take accountability. Prescott customers deserve better.

Drove up from the Valley to Prescott for the day and asked local's for their favorite burger spot. Most suggested Bill's hands down, and they weren't wrong! All I can say is wow. Hidden gem at the end of Whiskey Row. Adorable country feel, friendly staff and helpful fun server. She was fantastic, not only fully versed on Bill's menu but full of suggestions and must see historical sports within walking distance for our quick turn around day trip. Creative burger menu from build your own burger, Mushroom Swiss, a house burger, green chile burger, patty melt. Prices are reasonable. So much more I'm sad I did not take photo of menu. We had green chile burger & patty melt; a chef's kiss delicious, and onion rings. Green chile was cooked medium rare and perfect with pink and a full green chile and toppings. Juicy and the green chile within was full of flavor. I had the Patty Melt cooked medium rare and that too cooked perfectly pink and the rye bread completed the flavors. Probably the best patty melt I've had in a good long time! Juice literally dripping down my hand, they rye had bits of crispy onion cooked on the bread, totally made it. The onion rings looked & tasted fresh, not frozen, battered; cooked golden & crispy. Arrived hot out of the fryer and we asked for ranch dressing on the side. The ranch complimented both the rings and the patty melt when dipped in. Oh, yeah, we'll be back, next time breakfast! Thanks Bill for a great meal.

During a trip to Prescott from the Valley, my mom, dad, and I had decided to hit up LazyG Brewhouse for a late lunch, early dinner situation because my dad had been getting hungry and we knew the later it got (on a Saturday), the more crowded any restaurant would be. Upon pulling up to LazyG, my mom and dad remembered they had already been there a couple years back with my aunt and uncle, so we decided to try a different place. I had suggested Bill's Grill due to it being a burger place that didn't have $20+ burgers on the menu. First note, they had a few other people in there, but like I said earlier, it was around 3 PM on a Saturday in August. It wasn't peak time so we were able to pull into a parking spot in their parking lot super easily. We were able to seat ourselves and our server checked in on us quickly. My mom and I weren't hungry as we wanted to get ice cream for dinner at a different place, but my dad was really hungry. Me and her got the basket of sweet potato fries and split those, while my dad got the special that was written on the board you see when you first walk in: the Philly Cheesesteak. With an addition of fries on the side that were extra ($3 - that's how they can get away with only charging $12 for a burger). The food came out rather quickly. Our sweet potato fries were hot, crispy, and with just the right amount of salt. I quite enjoyed them. My dad's Philly Cheesesteak and fries weren't anything special though. His fries, I thought, had almost no flavor and were too crunchy for my liking. But my parents didn't find anything wrong with them and actually gave them praise, so. The sandwich, however, was where the meal fell short. It doesn't take much to impress my dad and even he gave it 3 stars out of 5. It was mostly bread and peppers. The chipotle sauce wasn't too chipotle and didn't pack enough punch. There was also not much meat for a Philly Cheesesteak. The long slices of pepper were the main stars of the show as you can see in the picture. He also wished there was more cheese. Maybe their burgers are better, but the meal wasn't anything worth remembering for us. Also, NO AC. It was fine when we went in there, but after walking around the downtown, it would've been nice to sit in some AC for a couple of minutes.

So we came in to this spot had never seen it as much as we come to deliver vehicles from scottsdale ,AZ which is like an Hour and 40 min . This spot is so close to old town where every thing is at . Is it the best burgers and fish and chips we have had in a very long time . Super helpful the waitresses, the home feeling , locals everywhere, can't wait to go back with my bud or my family .. definitely recommend this place if you're in Prescott...

My friend and I recently dined in after our morning hike. We both ordered the build your own burgers and thoroughly enjoyed them. Everything from the patty to the toppings tasted very fresh. I ordered onion rings on the side and absolutely loved them! They were perfectly crispy and crunchy. My friend ordered a side of potato fries and she loved them as well. They were the perfect size being crunchy on the outside and toasty potato on the inside. The ambience of the restaurant was great as well and when you first walk in it looks like an indoor patio with the grill and the rest of the restaurant inside. I love the indoor patio vibes as it felt like we're able to see the outdoors, but with the comfort of the space heaters. Service was also super quick and our waitress was really sweet. Overall my friend and I will definitely stop by again if we're in the area for some more hiking.

The fish n chips continue to be a real winner. Nice and crunchy very flavorful. Their Cole slaw is excellent. And the fries are crispy on the outside. Service is great despite the long lines. I still believe this is the best fish n chips in Prescott.

We've been here years ago and they have added to the menu. Gal serving us was super helpful with all she likes and most popular. Totally relaxing vibes, clean light music playing windows all open. They have probably 20 tables only 4 other customers are here. It's 2pm on a Sunday. We got a sampler plate with Cole slaw, fried pickles, pretzel bites and onion rings. Best Fried pickles we've ever had lightly battered and crisp inside. Fresh cut onion rings so good. Great tasty Cole slaw. Pretzel bites were a little dry, beer cheese sauce and home made ranch were very good. I ordered fish & chips. It comes with slaw. $15 fish was perfectly battered no fishy taste , tartar sauce was really good, There was a generous amount of French fries were done just right and hidden under the fish. I debated ordering fish but our waitress said it's one of their best sellers. It was perfect! I have a whole meal to take home! Husband ordered Green chili burger with bacon cheddar cheese. It has Strips of green chili and chipotle aoli. $13.50 Very tasty green chilies weren't super spicy. The sauce had a bit of a kick overall the burger was super tasty ! He said he would definitely order it again. He ate my fries and enjoyed them. We went between Bill's Pizza or Bill's Grill. We really love them both. Great food for our day trip.

Great place with great prices. Staff were great and food was delicious. Smaller dining room area but there were plenty of seats when I walked in. I had a bowl of chili and buffalo burger with cheddar instead of the blue cheese. Chili was great and the burger was delightful. Left the place full as a cow. Prices were nice too. Parking lot was a bit small but I believe there's street parking around the area.

This should be the only place in Prescott that you eat fish and chips from. It was DELICIOUS!! The fries nice and crispy, the fish so crisp and light and well seasoned. That coleslaw I wanted to bring a whole tub of it home. Pricing is also great( I'm from California so anytime I get an actual meal for about $20ish bucks and it's not a Big Mac combo that's a deal!) The staff is super friendly. Parking is a bit tight if you go during dinner. Just park across the street and run over for this delicious experience!

This place was an unexpectedly amazing find! Hubby and I were in the mood for good fish and chips and boy did we find it. The fish was cooked perfectly and the breading was light, airy and crispy. The other thing we discovered were their spirited shakes. The vanilla vodka and orange Fanta was SO good! Chandler was our waiter and was super on top of things and truly pleasant to deal with. We will most definitely be back and you should schedule a visit! read more

We happened by on a day when someone in the kitchen had walked off the job, so it was a bit slow, although the front of the house was very honest about the delays which helped set our expectations. This was the first time I have ever had fried pickle spears instead of pickle chips. I've gotta say- they were tasty! It's a sweet place- we ate on the porch and enjoyed ourselves. I wish I had read other reviews about the fish and chips, because I would have gotten those. My son got a burger with which he was very happy. Staff was very hard working and friendly. read more

I found it. After searching for way too long since moving here years ago, I finally found the perfect burger. Bills had been on my list for a while but the stars didn't align until today. Well I'm in love. Perfect service And drinks And sides And the burger has me hooked. When the waitress asked about choice of buns, she failed to mention the upncharge for the a pretzel bun, unfortunately it was a bit past its prime, wish I went with the traditional bun. I would not bother paying extra for cole slaw it definitely was not worth it. read more

This place needs to check out what a real Rueben sandwich looks like. The one I just ate had 1/5 of the meat that comes on the Rueben at Park Plaza or Gurley Street. In fact, it was the hardly a Rueben. Very few oysters on the oyster platter.. are these guys trying to save money?? The house salad was excellent. Service so so. read more

I wish I would have taken pictures of my food, but I ate it wayyyyy too fast. The fried fish on the Po Boy was incredible, and the French fries were seasoned to perfection. Stopped in for lunch on a Monday and happy to see that they have all day happy hour on Monday so all of their craft beers were only $3.75. My wife and I agreed that we had some of the best fish and chips in our life from this place. Fish was battered perfectly and the cod was super flaky and delicate. Tarter sauce was delicious and complimented the fish beautifully. I ordered the bbq bacon burger and I thought it was great. I did ask for it it to be cooked medium and it came out well done but all good, still flavorful. Both sweet potato and regular fries were delicious. If you're looking for some solid fish and chips, look no further then bills grill! read more

Drove by this place, didn't think of stopping in until we saw these reviews. Staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. The Tea was perfect and all dishes were good, except my burger, ordered Good Boy. When I seen it it was like Oh Boy! Did not look very appealing. Looked more like a kid burger. Was very disappointed in my dish, but the others were awesome. Would definitely come back, but may stay away from the burger. Update-said I'd definitely come back and brought some friends with me. Only issue last visit was the burger. This time it was dead on. Hit the spot. Today we tried a couple new plates, the Fish n Chips and the Veggie Burger. This is one of our favorites in Prescott. Burgers are amazing!!! Fish n chips are great. The menu isn't extensive, but they have nice selections such as the fish, chicken and salmon plates in addition to the burgers and sandwiches. Service is fantastic. Servers are very attentive and friendly. Their beer menu is nice. Plenty of choices and variety w/o being overwhelming. The ambiance is a little lacking, but maybe that just adds to the charm. It can get pretty busy at times, so we try to get there at off times. read more

Two days ago I ordered the fish and it had no flavor. Today I ordered the Ruben sandwich and paid the extra three dollars for extra meat. If I had not ordered extra meat, there wouldn't have been any on it. The service was very good. There are many better places to eat than Bills Grill. read more

Not sure how this has so many good reviews unless the people are paid to leave them. Burgers are $11 and if you want a thimble amount of fries then it's $3 extra. I ordered two Rueben sandwiches which contained 1 slice of corned beef per sandwich and a BLT which was atrocious. We were sitting on a screened in deck with a leaking roof and a slippery floor. I served in the military and would eat outside on a rock for all I care, but to be charged over $50 for 2 slices of corned beef (1 per sandwich) and 2 pieces of fatty bacon on a BLT is unreal.... I'm aware of our country's current state and the inflation rampaging through society, but the prices are just ridiculous. Also, no free refills on anything for a $4 unsweetened iced tea. Might as well BYOB by bringing Nestle Iced Tea to save from opening up a mortgage read more

I love a healthy salad. The Candied Pecan & Orange Chipotle has a good assortment of healthy greens plus avocado, mandarin oranges and pecans for taste. I would love to try other items but my taste draws me to this salad. The grilled chicken is a great add on. Service was very good considering the crowd that came in. Will be back. read more

So after reading the reviews it sounded like we had to try the burgers and fish, so we did. Turns out, Yelpers were right - the burgers and fish were very good. As mentioned, the fish is lightly battered which is sooo much better than the old school thick batter. Fries were OK. read more

I haven't been in here in a very long time. Today we were looking for someplace in Prescott that just had real food, nothing foo foo. Everything else that wasn't upscale or trendy closes at 2:30 or 3:00 in the afternoon. Since we wanted an early dinner and we were short on choices that would meet our simple tastes, we decided to try Bill's Grill and we are so happy we did! My husband had a burger that he said was very good. I had the chicken and rice plate with coleslaw. I got the Thai peanut sauce and everything was delicious. An added bonus is that they have Coke! I'm not a Pepsi fan at all so I was pretty excited. Service was very good, the place is clean and the prices are really reasonable. We will be back again! read more

Not the nicest place visually, nor comfort wise. Food was overwhelmingly greasy. My husband has a stomach of steel but the fish and chips were so greasy he had a bad night going to the toilet. Will never return. read more

Reasons I liked Bills: 1. It serves American food plus has some Asian options. Usually when a restaurant tries to do both, it does at least one really poorly. Thankfully Bill's made a good burger for me (I had the Portlander) and my wife was very happy with her chicken and rice. 2. Large number of beer options. They're also $2.50 on Saturday nights after 8 pm! That's pretty awesome. Great value, great food. No complaints! read more

No because the "patio" is really inside and an add on to the small restaurant. I have never seen dogs in there.

The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The Philly seemed a bit smaller than what we've had in most other places but it was good. The BLT had the usual plus avocado and a delicious aioli. It was very tasty. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, none of the food was hot. I am a stickler about this. If it's intended to be hot, it should be. The Philly and fries could have been a home run if they hadn't been cold. We shared our thoughts with the server who apologized and gave us a small discount. She indicated that she would tell the kitchen. I really hope they can pull it all together because they have the potential to earn five star reviews!

We were excited to try this place but sadly it seems like we came on a bad day. I will say that the hostess was super bubbly and nice we loved how welcoming she was. The inside of the restaurant was pretty and loved how small it was.

Colt Grill is located on Whiskey Row and caddy corner from the Courthouse. It is easy to find and street parking is plentiful. Colt Grill has both indoor and outdoor uncovered seating which is so popular with the weather here. Inside it's a counter service restaurant with a bar that serves BBQ. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken platter that comes with slaw and cornbread for $17.50. I added the "meal deal" of 2 sides for $6 more and chose the sweet beans and Texas Toast because I wanted to try those side dishes in addition with what came with the meal. The meal was ready in less than 15 minutes. I immediately realized that I ordered too much food. Along with the 1/2 bird, the slaw and jalapeño cheese cornbread were full size sides. The beans and toast were too but then I did get to try them all so I wasn't complaining. The chicken looked perfect and was juicy and flavorful with a hint of smoke and a lot of taste. The cole slaw was cool and creamy and the big slice of cornbread moist and delicious. The beans had content in them with brisket and onions and looked great but were unfortunately dry. I would have been content to not order the two extra sides and save the $6. All in all the food was good tasting and affordable. I would have given a 4 score except for these negatives: First the dry beans. Second was for the flies buzzing around inside. Third was that they were out of some utensils and I had to use a child's fork to eat with. Evidently the dishwasher wasn't keeping up. Finally they have a sauce bar here with about 8 bbq sauces with descriptions to use which is neat. However, the 2 sauces that I wanted were out at the time. 3 of the 4 negatives were management related issues and may have not been the norm here however that is what I experienced. Colt Grill is a popular restaurant in Prescott that needs a little better organization. However, I would return on a future visit here.

I Ordered a regular 805 like a chump... $6 for 16oz. Then I see this glorious 22oz mug you can buy for $14--first fill is FREE, and refills are only $7 forever after as long as you bring your mug. You mean I could've had a beer and a souvenir? Say less. I'm now emotionally attached to this mug. The patio is the move--plenty of space, good vibes, and dogs welcome. I'll be back, and next time I'm bringing friends, family, and probably some strangers too.

They have a small parking lot along with plenty of street parking if that is full. The restaurant has a covered outdoor patio for dining along with a full bar room separate from the inside seating areas. I ordered the bourbon glazed pecan salmon entree for $34. The meal came with a choice of two side dishes. I went with a side salad and the baked potato. Kat, my waitress, asked if I wanted it loaded with sour cream, butter, bacon, cheese and chives. I asked her if there was an extra charge for those toppings and she said no and that it came that way if I desired it. I accepted it except for the chives. First to arrive was the side salad and it was delicious. It was a quality start to the meal. Then the entree appeared and it was a beautiful plate. The salmon was pan seared with a bourbon glaze on top with candied pecans. It also had several raviolis next to the salmon with spinach and some creole mustard sauce. Flavor, flavor, flavor! That glaze and pecans mixed so well with the salmon and raviolis. Mouth watering for sure. The baked potato had two large scoops of butter and sour cream on top with cheese and was oh so good tasting. It was a quality meal for sure. 5 stars! As I was eating the potato I noticed there was no bacon pieces in it. Figuring that someone forgot to add it, I looked for my waitress and she was no where to be found. Her service was very slow. By the time she arrived I had finished the meal. I mentioned to her that the bacon was missing but it was too late since I had finished the meal. Minus 1 star. When she presented the bill at my table I paid the bill with full tip and took the receipt and left. Just outside the door I noticed on the receipt that I had been charged .75 cents each for the bacon and cheese! Minus another star. So I went back in and talked to the lady manager. She said that my waitress wasn't aware of those topping charges and it was her fault. I told her that I understood that those things can happen but had a problem with being charged for the bacon and never receiving it. She said that she would refund me the cost for the bacon and cheese and would adjust my credit card for the $1.50. I saw her do it on their portable credit card machine. She assured me that it would be done. That was last Thursday and this is Tuesday and no credit has shown in my statement. Minus another star. Very good food, very poor staff and management.

One of our party ordered a burger and it was a good medium cook and season just right. The breakfast dishes came with skillet potatoes which were the most perfect breakfast potatoes we have had. The seasoning and rosemary were perfectly balanced. Portions were generous and made tasty leftovers for later. Keep up the great work!

We were in town for the cowboy poetry festival. Our original plans were to dine at a BBQ place near the venue but to our dismay they had summer hours and were closed waaaay too early. (You may have lost me for good, State 48) A bit desperate, (it was 5 pm at the event started at 7) our friends recommended Bill's grill and we were so glad they did. The food was quite basic but very good and tasty. Various kinds of burgers (I had the guacamole burger - cooked to my liking, the guac was great), chicken and fish dishes, fries done just right (I will try their onion straws next time) out friend had a root beer float that looked absolutely scrumptious. Our waitress was a sweet and very attentive gal who, as it turned out came from the same area of southern California we did. Wish we had gotten her name as we would have liked to acknowledge her. The tables are slightly lopsided so be careful. A glass of water tipped over accidentally and I got slightly drenched. Even then the staff rushed, cleaned up and asked if all was good. It was, and we will be back! p.s.That is actually me with the earlier review - unfortunately my smart phone wasn't exactly that smart, so hence, here is my "original" review of Bill's Grill without that "goodyear" thing. read more

This restaurant is a joke. Service is a joke. The management and certain employees are very inappropriate. I literally heard them talking about other employees and customers in such a volatile and negative, ignorant manner. One of them showed up to work crying and angry because of personal boyfriend problems and took it out on her tables, customers and other employees. I believe its the FOH manager, has worked there for 4 years, i dont know how, but isnt very pleasant and is truly just a b*tch. Very unprofessional and the general manager Joe Madden doesn't have a clue as to what he is doing. The only thing good about this business is their food, but I've seen what servers do to "impolite customers"...like from the movie Shannanigans. Be very cautious when attending this restaurant. I Suggest take out only. The only good service I ever received from this restaurant was from Sierra or Joey. read more

Stopped in to see what everyone was raving about and had lunch with a friend. Just had a burger and fries and she had the same. The place was packed and he seemed to be the only wait staff working the restaurant, not good, and he seemed really new. Took about 45min before we got our food, were cold and burger was wrong. Felt like leaving, but my friend wanted to stay. Won't go back, don't know what happened to the great food they use to serve but it's no more. My friend has been back, and the food hasn't gotten any better. read more

Had the black n blue burger, again. It was very tasty with the shoestring onions. The eggplant parmesan sandwich with pesto my wife had was also delicious. Since it is a couple of blocks south of the hubbub of the square restaurants it will not be as packed on a saturday afternoon as places around the square, but is still busy. It was very cold and windy outside, however very comfortable on the screened in patio with the ceiling spot heaters .The service is quick and attentive. Highly recommend! read more

Bill's Grill provides one of the best sea food offerings in Prescott on Thursdays. The salmon cooked several ways is particularly excellent. And Stephanie is an excellent 5 star waitress: friendly, quick and efficient. Take advantage and try it out asap. read more
