I liked the experience of small diner but just didn't leave with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction from the food. It's a nice place with the owner working a cash only register so there is some type of diner nostalgia associated with the establishment. I'm a self confessed burger snob, burger extraordinaire, burger aficionado so maybe I'm a bit harsh but it was an unimpressive burger. The grilled onions I requested helped add some flavor to an otherwise unseasoned patty. The customer service was a 10 hands down. Friendly ladies and extremely nice but again the food was something I could easily make at home. I did get the double which ended up being an entire pound of beef but there just wasn't anything special about the burger itself. My wife ordered some chili cheese fries and they tasted like plain cheap frozen fries and canned chili. We tried a peanut butter hot fudge milkshake and it was really good but the highlight was the butterscotch deep fried pie with ice cream. This was one of the last restaurants we visited before leaving the Branson area. We wish it were the first. This is one of the few places in the area I'd want to come back a second time. This a small restaurant located in the Branson Theatre District. There is minimal seating and parking, so I can see this place getting busy at times. Fortunately we came during the off season and prior to the dinner rush. We were seated quickly and got food promptly as well. The burgers was filling, tasty, and cooked well done. The fries were good, although the burger is clearly the star here. The milk shake was also up there with some of the best. Have I had better burgers? Of course. When we pulled up to Billy Bob's I was a little skeptical because it's connected to a gas station, but I thought I would give it a try because of its high yelp review. I'm so glad I did! This place is super small, only about 20 tables, so there maybe a wait if you come around dinner time. After talking to the waitress, I found out this restaurant is family owned and they were also nominated top 4 burger joint in the U.S. by trip advisor. I ordered the cheeseburger basket with sweet potato fries. The burger is huge at a half pound!! It was about a half inch thick and tasted amazing! They cooked it well done, but it was still juicy. I also got the orange cream shake, which was hand-spun. The best part, our meal with two cheeseburger baskets (one burger had bacon on it) with sweet potato fries, onion rings and a shake was around $20. Score! read more

Loved the feel of this place! 4 stars for the malts and 5 stars for the fried pies. The only problem with the malts is that they were too sweet. I appreciated the huge serving but we couldn't finish them because they were so, so sweet. We got the vanilla, caramel, and chocolate. The caramel was salty too, if you're into that, which I am. After hearing about this place on the Food Network and Frontier magazine, I put this on my "must try" places list. Well, after visiting nearby Table Rock Lake; I finally got my chance. I have to admit I was not that impressed as I pulled into the parking lot, as it looked like it was part of the adjoining gas station. But once inside, I was treated to a charming, throwback 50s' theme equipped with a jukebox the corner. Being from California, where customer service is a thing of the past, it was quite refreshing to be greeted and served by genuinely nice people. I have to say- the cheeseburger was delicious! Old fashion burger style! The banana cream shakes were probably the best I ever had. At the end of my meal, I swore I couldn't eat another bite. The cook comes over and talks me into ordering a fried coconut pie. I am so glad he did! If you are in the Branson area and looking for a unique place to eat; I highly recommend it!
