I really like Bistro B. They are a high volume location, very fast and open late. Everything I have tried was delicious and affordable. The only negative is that at times it seems like they are trying to rush you out of your table but I think it is just how quick they are to bring the check. I've only been here for Banh Mi, but this place seems pretty authentic. So many choices from the get-go! Even just looking at the pre packaged stuff on the counter and shelves! We were in town for the day and found this restaurant. We were seated quickly and found a huge menu! Staff was quick and friendly/attentive.. we enjoyed the spring rolls and egg rolls. Their menu is so extensive that they can't focus on making a few items amazing, so everything just ends up being mediocre. The flavor and quality of their food is lacking. It's like they're barely trying. My husband had the porridge and we couldn't figure out whether they gave him chicken or fish... he ordered the chicken, but the consistency did not seem like chicken at all. The last few times I came back to Bistro B, the service and food were better. Recently, my wife and I came for breakfast and we were very impressed with the food quality. We ordered com tam (10.99$) and Banh cuon (10.79$) dish and was very happy with the portion size and flavor. I could always count on this Bistro B to be good but now... it's alright. My go to order was always the combination stir fried flat noodles. My dad would pick some up when ever he was in the area but the last couple of times were not good since one was the wrong type of noodles where they gave us egg noodles. The flavors also started being inconsistent. This recent visit we ordered togo at the counter, two combination rice orders and one combination banh mi. The wait was a bit long and the seating area to wait was also a bit small, but they have tv's built into the counter so you can sit and watch while you wait. The rice was good since you can't go wrong with rice. The banh mi was... hard and lacking. There wasn't a lot of meat to be considered a combination and the bread itself was extremely hard, so much so that I had trouble biting into it. This place is worse than a Chinese buffet. My friend and I had the salmon and Orange chicken though Orange chicken was very tough like jerky. The salmon had no seasoning whatsoever and was on a bed of rotten lettuce. This service was really weird had a bunch of people standing around and would not pick up the dirty plates they only had one gentleman that would go around to pick up the plates. All the wait staff would not pick up the plates so it was a constant hassle to have all the dirty plates in your way because the one gentleman did not always come around. Yeah... no. I don't like giving bad reviews. But when you find a long strand of human hair in your pork summer roll which you asked for veggie in the 1st place... you have to know when to say no. When I noticed folks handling food without hairnets, that's when I knew something was up. A good friend of mine introduced me to Bistro B and I love it! I could not wait to take my 16 yo son. We love to try new things together. Their menu is so big you can always try new things. There are accurate pictures of their dishes to help you choose. They have a large staff that makes sure you're always taken care of. The food is always fresh and I have never had a bad meal. The dishes are so big, you always have some to take home. The meals come out as they are ready so you may not get everything at once. It never takes long though. Heard this name from my little local friend. Spent the long way to get there and no seat and suppose to wait. Finally I ordered something Togo and hoped to come back other day. However, the desert is very average. The Rolls is too hard for the rice wrap maybe had been laid there for long time(mean not fresh), the special Banh mi is so simple and sloppy filling. The Banh mi bread is too thick. The only thing that I could empty is the coconut jelly. That is surprise to see it is crazy busy, but I don't think I would come back. To be honest a decade ago, this place was pretty good. I'm not sure what happened, maybe it franchised or expanded too fast or the quality checks just got sloppy but it's not that good of a restraint anymore. 10 years ago this place was one of the few big Vietnamese restaurants that would be comparable to Houston Vietnamese food. But now it's just meh. There's like 700 dishes on the menu or something like that but only like 20-30 unique dishes. The menu counts each protein choice for an entree as a separate dish. Chicken fried rice and beef fried rice is counted as two dishes. Whereas most restaurants would count it as one dish and your pick the protein. I'm not a fan of the inconsistency of their food. Sometimes I'll come and it would be good, 4 stars and sometimes the same dish would be terrible. 1 star (I.e. sometimes the fried calamari would be crispy and sometimes it would be soggy like it's been sitting out under a heating lamp all day.) But. It is cheap. It is so cheap. If you're on a budget then this is the place to eat! The portions are generous and will fill you up. The egg rolls are still some of the best egg rolls you can get especially at a quarter a piece. 4 star pricing 2/3 star taste and quality. read more

This is in a rundown, busy, strip mall. The place is huge compared to other pho places I been. The inside is clean & people of all different ethnics eat here, compared to other places I go too. Very busy and crowded. The food is ok, but they offer large platters for parties, which is what I usually do - but it's hit or miss. The only upside are the prices of their platters.
