Wife had ordered online through Uber Eats so I went to pick up after work and waited. Then when I walked in the lady must of thought I was an Uber eats driver because she completely disregarded me and my order and continued to serve everyone else who continued to come on after me. I waited an add 20 minutes inside and she still didn't even know my order. That's when I knew I was being discriminated against. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by an employee. She explained the menu to me and was very helpful and friendly. The decor is bright and tasteful with gold chairs, white tables, and light blue accents at the bar. It gives off a very cute and comfortable vibe. I looked over the menu and when I was ready, I went to the cash register to order. I ordered a lavender latte with soy milk and a Korean breakfast. The lavender latte was perfect. It has a really cute foam design that made me smile immediately. The amount of lavender syrup that was used was perfect. I would prefer that the coffee is a tad bit stronger. Cute Korean fusion brunch spot. The service was nice and welcoming. When we come in, they gave us a menu and let us choose a seat. We ordered at the counter and they gave us a table marker. We got the Taco Truck burrito, Ube Lava Pancakes, and a Lavender Matcha Latte. The Taco Truck burrito tasted great. It came with a chipotle salsa, pico de gallo, and a pepperoncini. The Ube Lava Pancakes were also yummy, but maybe a bit too sweet, at least for my liking. It came with a generous amount of toasted coconut on top which paired very well with the ube syrup. It was also 3 large pancakes, which could definitely be split among a few people if ordering other stuff. The Lavender Matcha Latte was underwhelming. It was too milky and so the Matcha and the Lavender flavor got overpowered. Overall, loved the food here, but would probably avoid the matcha and try a coffee next time instead. UGH... this place is SO GOOD. I have only ordered it on Uber Eats, but oh my god, it's been a weekly ritual for me now!!! I get 1 traditional breakfast burrito and 1 ube lava pancake. We've tried the taco truck breakfast burrito, but the meat marinade was a bit too sweet. I really recommend the traditional breakfast burrito because the salsa it comes with is so good! Such a good pairing. But oh man, the star of the show is the UBE LAVA PANCAKES!!! They're so thicc, fluffy, and mochiii like! They definitely need to add the mochi description into the menu as i've seen some negative reviews calling it rubber. I know mochi texture isn't for everyone, so I definitely empathize with those that may have been taken by surprise. But my goodness! The ube lava pancakes!!!!! I love how it comes with 2 packs of ube sauce. We poor one over the pancakes and use the other one to dip the bottom layers if I could eat these everyday I would. Lastly, the coffee. Crack coffee! It was really good the first time we had it (perfectly sweetened) but the second time was not so great. It was a rainy Sunday morning, and I was craving a breakfast burrito. There were plenty of options in the neighborhood, but I decided to try this place since I had never been here before. I ordered through the app and, due to the lack of parking and heavy rain, parked briefly on the side and ran inside. I walked in expecting at least a simple, warm greeting--but that wasn't the case. I don't expect anything over the top, but a friendly hello would have been nice. Instead, the atmosphere inside felt colder than the weather outside. There were no other customers, just one employee who looked like she didn't want to be there. When she saw me, she said, "Oh... hello... can I help you?" The tone and vibe are hard to explain in writing, but it was far from welcoming. I told her I was there to pick up an online order. She checked the orders and said she didn't see anything. Thinking I might have ordered from the wrong location, I showed her my phone. She then said, "Oh, well it's not ready." At that point, it felt like my presence was an inconvenience--as if I had disrupted her Sunday morning. She wasn't outright rude, but she certainly wasn't pleasant either. I sat there waiting, eager to leave as soon as the order was ready. When I finally got home and took my first bite, I was even more disappointed. The burrito had an unpleasant, smelly bacon taste and was very small for the price. I usually like to give local businesses a second chance, but between the unwelcoming service and the underwhelming food, I don't see myself returning. We sat at the table nearest to the door and it was uncomfortable. People would open the door but never close it so we would get hit by wind every couple of minutes. My mom ordered the Korean breakfast. Presentation was cute, but it was ruined by how drenched it was with sauce and the bulgogi was extremely sweet. When I looked at the yelp pictures later the rice was completely dry. The sweetness didn't only affect the Korean breakfast, but the other dish we got with bulgogi in it. The KBBQ burrito was soaked with sauce once again. You would think that the egg would have soaked it up, but it couldn't handle it all either. If we wanted super sweet breakfast we would've gotten the ube pancakes instead. The only saving grace was the CFO burrito. My family of four ordered two banana turon pancakes and two Filipino burritos on 4/25 around 10am . They brought out one Filipino burrito and one stack of pancakes. We asked the lady at the front with glasses where the rest was, she said she was "double checking" but turns out they never made the other burrito or pancakes. So we waited another 30/35 minutes for the other half of the order while the other food got cold. The pancakes were drenched in some sauce which made the pancakes soggy. After the wait for the other half of the order there was no apology or anything. So I highly wouldn't recommend this place at all. Small spot for brunch/lunch in lomita. Parking isn't great but there is a parking lot a block away for this place. Seating is limited. Prob not able to seat a large party. My favorite was the japchae. We added bulgogi to it and it was really good not too sweet. They also added basil and cabbage to it which is a bit different. Ube pancakes were good but did not taste like ube. The texture was nice and chewy and maybe had rice flour in it. The sauce tasted like coconut and condensed milk. Shakshuka was good but was not legit shakshuka. More on the heavier side. Kale Caesar was good and I liked that they put radish in it. We added avocado for like 3 bucks but it was literally like 3 slices... Kbbq burrito was good. I don't think you can go wrong w one of their burritos They have bottomless mimosas for 27 so we opted for those since one single mimosa was 12 dollars. I remember "Crack in a Cup" tasting really delicious, but I recently got it, and it definitely didn't taste like how I remembered it. I will not be ordering it again. However, their vanilla latte is great! The Shakshuka is amazing! Super flavorful and the dish was plated beautifully. I would order the Shakshuka over and over again. I wanted the eggs sunny side up and that they were - runny and perfect. I've been to Bites & Bashes a few times now, but on a recent visit the service was extra incredible. This place is unreal. I had the chilaquiles breakfast burrito and it was packed with so much flavor. The salsas it comes with were fresh and flavorful too! Next time I'm asking for more on the side. My son got the all American breakfast and he loved the sprinkles on top of his pancakes (what a cute touch). The candied bacon I had to steal off of his plate because it was so good. My intention was to just take a bite but he was kind enough to let me have a whole piece--and I just sat there basking in how good the glazed bacon tasted. My husband found this cute little spot on Yelp and was really excited to try it, so we went on a Saturday for lunch. Even though we walked in around noon, the place wasn't crowded. If you are dining in you can sit down with a menu and when you're ready you go up to the cashier to order. We sat down and ordered a few things to try: Shakshuka ($17.95) - A sunny-side up egg, sweet peppers, turkey sausage, scallions, house fennel, and arrabiatta. This dish was really pretty with the flower petals sprinkled on top, but I was looking for eggs cooking in Hell. Adding the turkey sausage threw me off (I'm used to no meat in it), but it added flavor and extra protein. This dish wasn't overly salted, the bread was nicely crusted, and overall I'd say this dish was on the sweet side, which I didn't enjoy, but I still think it was a decent meal. Taco Truck Burrito ($16.95) - A Korean spicy pork al pastor with pineapple, chopped kimchi, rice, eggs, and scallions. This was my least favorite dish. I don't think the pineapple worked well with the meat, it was too acidic and pineapple doesn't taste good combined with most things. My husband didn't like this dish at all. The last dish we got was their Ube Lava Pancakes ($14.75) - Buttermilk pancakes, ube syrup, toasted coconut, berries. My husband thought the pancakes were made with ube, not smothered in an ube sauce, which tells me he didn't read the description too well. This was pretty good. A little to sweet for my liking, but I liked it the most out of the three dishes we bought. We think the syrup was made with condensed milk and I'm not a fan of coconut but really enjoyed the shavings on top. The berries on top were three raspberries. This place isn't suited for big parties, but for a more intimate or family setting. Parking can be found on Narbonne, or there's some residential area's nearby where you may be able to find something. Otherwise, Lando's hair salon isn't too far by and they have a parking lot - You just gotta walk about five or six doors down. read more

Great hidden gem on Narbonne. My friends and I have driven by never knowing that there was a secret breakfast spot. It's on a corner on the right side, after the Groceries Outlet parking. It is a very small sitting so try and get there early before the rush at 10am. They have great breakfast burritos, mine being the CFO with chile verde (pork). They also have, a Korean breakfast plate with Bulgogi (marinated/beef). The service is great and the food comes out hot and ready to grub down. Their salsas and sauces are great too.
