So happy to have Bizza and their growing vegan options available in the Haight! When my partner and I first discovered Bizza, we were living in lower Haight and got delivery. At the time, they had a couple of sandwich options (using high quality vegan ingredients, like vegan mozzarella from Butcher's Son) and pizzas. The sandwiches were good and we were satisfied. However, after moving to Haight Ashbury proper, we started ordering from Bizza more and it seems like they keep adding vegan options to their menu. Since being closer, we've had their calzone (excellent) and chicken tenders (albeit, just gardein but the ranch was quite good.) I also see that have vegan mozzarella sticks on their menu and I'm definitely trying those next time! And not only do they have plenty of vegan options but they're open pretty late most days of the week. Pre-pandemic their hours were well past midnight (possibly 3am if I remember correctly) and they seem like they're still open far later than most restaurants currently. Really hope they keep expanding their vegan menu (maybe even go the CyBelle's route and have a completely dedicated vegan menu), but either way, we will be back again and again. read more

Bizza impresses with the massive menu, including pizza by slice, burgers, calzones, pasta, pizzas, AND the very rare vegan options! However, flavors were little disappointing in the vegan chicken parm. The portion size is huge, one person can likely just finish half the sub, but it is quite bland even with the marinara sauce, added chilli flakes, and cheese and jalapeños. My partner tried the buffalo chicken pizza slice without bacon but it was just cheese pizza slice with the toppings thrown on right before warming the slice up for serving. This is fine but flavors don't develop with this method. The garlic bread and fries were amazing though, they saved the meal. The service was also friendly, we asked for the sub to be made spicy and they added jalapeños without charge and gave chilli pepper sauce on the side. I will give another chance to try out the numerous other flavors. I respect Bizza for rolling out an impressive vegan menu, which many other restaurants run away from. read more

I'm giving Bizza 3*'s, not for the food but for the customer service. I had friends come up for a visit. They stopped here 1st to order food to go. Once they placed their order it was only about 20 min or so before it was ready. 2 Spaghetti and Meatball's, garlic fries and a small pizza. I think "Oscar" took their order. When it was ready, he said he's your order and handed them a "bag". Sadly neither my friends or Oscar checked to see if they had their full order. Which they did not. When they arrived @ my house, they realized they did not get the pizza. They called immediately to mention this and asked if they could just get a credit / refund. Oscar said "it's not my fault you didn't pick up your pizza". Which was probably next to their bag. And I also want to mention, there was no one else in the restaurant @ the time. When "Oscar" noticed (if he did) that the pizza wasn't picked up, he made no attempt to call out to them. They were parked right in front of the restaurant. He said you can come back and get it. Which they did 4 hours later and it was sitting on a shelf. This was a "2 way street" error. To the proprietor, may I suggest, you always make sure your customers walk out w/their "full order". To the patrons, like my friends, best to check your orders before you leave. Major bummer, as the Pizza was for me. The Spaghetti and meatballs was plentiful w/5 or 6 huge meatballs, but it could have used a bit more sauce. read more

They sell vegan pizza BY THE SLICE! This isn't any "classic pizza joint" because their pizzas are unique and better. Today I had a carb overload in SF. I had a bagel for breakfast and then I decided to have a pizza slice snack in the Haight District after hours. I went to North Beach Pizza and the lady got stuck on the phone, so I carried on to walk on Haight Street. I walked by Slice House and didn't want it. I saw "Bizza" and thought well, I can try this new place and write a new Yelp review on a pizza slice. So I shouldn't be eating pizza too much because of cholesterol and calories, but I can't resist in SF. Bizza is like one year old and maybe a few months. Bizza has local owners and has a decent concept. They offer slices with various toppings. Maybe you want a cheese slice or a 1 topping slice. The one topping slice is $4.88 with tax. I got mushrooms on my slice and it was pretty good. This is medium-thick crust with a hard edge crust that I didn't finish. It was decent and not over-priced. It may be like Irving Pizza. Bizza is an officially okay, overpriced pizza joint propped up by an intriguing name, late hours, and legends of a vegan pizza that isn't terrible. And all of that is pretty true. I'm sad to admit that 4/5 times I ventured into this establishment were times that I wanted a slice at 10pm, but missed out on the last slice at Tony's slice house right down the street. I've never felt happy that I ended up going. Pizza is consistently a bit oily. Decent flavor, but at the price you're paying, you are expecting a damn good piece of pizza. After tax and "SF pandemic mandate fee", my slice of pizza and ranch was 8.50. Also note this fee isn't visible anywhere else on Haight right now. The first time I came here, I got an XL lamb gyro pizza, and the thing cost me north of $50. And this was ordered in person without delivery fees! Vegan friends of mine have told me the vegan pizza is pretty good for vegan pizza, but I'd imagine that's a low bar. Casual pizza joint on Haight with some interesting pizza choices. My boyfriend and I split a medium-sized pizza, half Lamb Pizza and half Falafel Pizza to eat there. Seems like a lot of people order through a third party delivery app, as I saw pizza getting picked up quite a few times for delivery. To eat in, it probably only took between 5-10 minutes before our pizza was ready, so super quick. And for two people, a medium sized pizza is probably the perfect size with little to no leftovers, depending on your appetite. As for the pizza itself, it came piping hot so that's always a plus! Lamb bizza was pretty good, although you can't really taste much lamb flavor. Falafel bizza, on the other hand, was a total disappointment. I imagined small balls or bites of falafel on the pizza, but what we got were maybe just two or three thin slices of falafel along the edge of the pizza. If you didn't tell me, I wouldn't even be able to tell there was falafel on it. Also, wayyy too many pickles on the pizza and it overpowered everything else on the pizza. I will say that the crust is pretty good though. Usually if crusts taste horrible, I will leave it uneaten, but I did finish the crusts here. read more

Every time I stroll down Haight, I have to grab a slice of pizza. I like to try out new pizza spots so I can widen my variety of options whenever I'm down there. I always passed by Bizza but never actually tried them so I decided I will this time. I took a look at their outside window menu and they have a huge variety of pizza flavors (with catchy names) -- more than I've seen at other spots down Haight. They also offer other foods such as Calzones and a ton of different hot sub sandwiches. I ordered a pepperoni slice and some deep fried Oreos for dessert. To my surprise, the slice was HUGE. Probably the biggest slice of pizza I've had on Haight to date. It couldn't even fit in the to-go slice box! The pizza itself was delicious and tasted fresh. The deep fried Oreos were fried in red velvet cake batter... which was a first for me but it was amazing and totally worth the extra calories. (You should try it) Taking off one star only because the man that took my order didn't seem very happy to help when I was asking questions about their menu. Love a vegan pizza by the slice!! They have pizza slices without cheese on them and when you get their they will put the cheese of your choice, mine was vegan, and bake it! The reason I give 4 stars is because the cheese wasn't heated up very well even though the crust was very nice and crispy :( so it was like eating not melted vegan cheese on bread. On my way to work this morning, I was listening to another installment of Star 101.3's Second Date Update. A guy called in because he was positive he would get a second date with a lady he met on Bumble who ghosted him. Sandy and Marcus (love you guys!), the radio hosts call the lady who said, she would never call him back again. Juicy details please! Come to find out that the guy brought her to a restaurant right before they closed at 8:58 pm (they close at 9 pm) and the kitchen had closed for the night. He ignored the hostess, sat himself, and demanded that the kitchen open back up for them (they did). He then stated that if a restaurant's kitchen doesn't open up for you, you write them a bad review. WTF?! Hey bro, it's entitled people like you that give Yelpers a bad name. Besides, we live in the SF where there's so many late night options like Bizza! I love Mediterranean food so when I read that there was a new pizza eatery specializing in Mediterranean inspired pizza, I had to visit. On the menu are Pizzas (traditional and Mediterranean toppings), Sandwiches, Salads, Chicken Wings, and Deep Fried Desserts (Oreos and Twinkies). All pizzas are available by the slice. Vegan and Gluten-Free options available for a surcharge. They're open till 3 am on the weekends. Free delivery within a 3 mile radius in SF. Several days later, my co-workers ordered whole pies and said, the crust was soft and chewy so I suggest ordering a whole pie for maximum enjoyment. Kind, prompt service. It was definitely expensive but lasted me two meals and if I ate the cheesy bread all by myself, I think it could've been 3 meals. SO GOOD! Definitely recommend to all people, vegan or not. Every time I hear or see the word "Bizza", it really takes me back to the Mediterranean city where the creation of pizza was born. Next, a free small styrofoam cup of ice water rather than fountain soda (which still cost money) was my choice of beverage. Wouldn't take longer than six minutes for my slice to come to my eating area. As I looked at my signature slice closely, not bad; still big, with strips of vegan cheese, sliced olives, sprinkles of za'atar, and the same tomato sauce. I would've thought it looked similar to Reem's Classic Man'oushe, a piece of flat bread with mostly za'atar sauce. After the first bite at my slice of Original Mediterranean Bizza, it's absolutely filling. The interesting part (not the first bite) was the Bizza crust. The virgin olive oil they put on made its crust perfectly crispy. I like how the staff made their pizza beautifully before putting them in the oven. Made me feel I wanted to bake the pizza too, so I can see how it looks over and over again. Customer service turned out excellent and friendly. I found a pizza in my food and the worst part was dealing with the terrible people who work there. They did have the decency to apologize for their mistake, sent me to DoorDash for a refund despite the fact that it was clearly their fault (totally threw doordash under the bus). When I called the manager didn't even ask when the food was ordered or how (after I emailed them a doordash receipt they figured it out) so I do but think they care about the public's safety either. I don't think anyone is more distraught than I am given that I found a penny in my food. Calling this an accusation is infuriating. Here are some facts: - you can tell that the penny was prepared with the food by the way the dough is sticking to it in the picture -the food arrived hot -the food arrived in a sealed Bizza container -the deep fried Oreos look exactly like the ones on the website (the regular ones not the red velvet) -the night we ordered this an employee called us to let us there needed to be a change to our order bc they ran out of something. I made my own bizza for about $45. I got the jumbo size. They had pretty cool Mediterranean toppings. I ordered lamb, steak, artichokes, and vegan cheese for my toppings. I really used to like this place but the person working the register didn't have any idea how to use it! The vegan bizza fries read 13.99 and it charged as 16.99. The total was almost 20$ and I asked if they could price match all he said was "it was tax" but clearly there is a tax charge under the incorrect price. I ended up leaving and going somewhere else. :/ really disappointed the cashier didn't understand what I was saying or my frustration and didn't offer to help. read more
