    Vegan Mermaid Sandwich
    Karishma M.

I got the vegan mermaid sandwich today for the first time that has fried vegan shrimp and coleslaw in a pretzel bun. I added a side of sweet potato fries. They also gave a side of pickles. It was fun. I think I've only tried the big bird sandwich before and typically get their pastas. As usual, no issues with service. I also love that he asked me if I wanted a vegan menu or traditional menu by listing vegan menu first. I was the first to arrive on this lunch wave so couldn't hear everyone else but heard one other older couple ask for vegan menus. It made me happy. It's been a while since I've been around Golden Gate Park and dined at Cybelle's. It was a good lunch choice. I recommend coming by and checking out their huge menu. It's solid.

Great little spot in the Inner Sunset. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, great food. Pesto stuffed mushroom caps were awesome.

Awesome restaurant with good food, good service, and good vibes. I love that they offer a large vegan menu. It's a great place whether you're vegan or not. I got the vegan caesar salad, mermaid sandwich, ranchaholic sandwich, garlic parm wings and bbq wings, and cheesecake beignets. Everything was large portions and super filling and tasty. My favorite thing was the vegan garlic parm wings with their housemade vegan ranch sauce!

    Vegan original drumsticks

Great appetizer of vegan drumsticks with one of the best vegan ranch dressings. Like how they intimate skin and they have great texture. Went with vegan chicken loco moco. Have had the impossible version and liked this better even though the original is supposed to be beef. Still unable to imitate a runny egg yolk though. One of the best creamy vegan macaroni salads. Skipped vegan beignet this time Only thing is getting pricier ever visit but still love the many vegan options with its own menu.

Ordered the vegan millionaire pizza, they were generous with the toppings. We got the vegan hot wings and garlic parm wings. Both were delicious and the hot wings are really good. The Oreo beignets are really good too.

It's been a good thirty plus years since I've dined here. At that time, the restaurant name was The Front Room, one of three locations in the City with one on California Street and the other on Clement Street. Our local PBS TV station featured this neighborhood restaurant as one of three restaurants chosen by one diner for two of other diners to try and comment on their experiences. When our hostess/waitress came to take our order, we both asked about the Friday and Saturday prime rib meal, seeing this on the above-mentioned show. I called earlier in the week to confirm the days it's available.Sadly, our waitress said there was no delivery Wednesday so it was not available. After studying the menu, we ordered our meals. Since my friend order a Coke, I joined him by ordering a Diet Coke (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=amunH6-JGrsoNFRLjME8yQ). The great part was that our 20 oz. cups were refilled after our kind waitress/hostess offered. I started with a cup of clam chowder (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=tSOOxh0Gz24YfahRXB7ZVg) which was my side that came with my main meal; it was filled with chopped clams and, yes, mushroom slices (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=bioItf1y8DI7cLbjNxqTHw) though the broth is on the thin side, not rich and creamy like most places. I enjoyed it this way as I didn't feel heavy after drinking it. For my main meal, I had the French dip (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=-97npQq-PqZC4-ai_XM1lA); do note that the sandwich is purely meat and the bread which was not a Dutch crunch as mentioned on the menu, but it was still toasted and good (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=XFH5D2KUL6bvb1fWAZ_igg). Lettuce, tomato, or onions would have made this more interesting. Seeing a fellow diner eating pizza a few tables away, I convinced my friend to join me in a sharing a slice of the Kitchen Sink pizza (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=bln2RPgFnAYPpWlE0UG8NA), a more than generous slice; this is topped with salami, pepperoni, smoked ham, mushroom, bell pepper, onion, black olives, ground beef, sausage, and garlic. Loved the abundance of toppings. We were surprised at the portion, yet we finished it. I would order a pizza on future visits. We were seated in the main dining room, comprised of about 8 tables. There is a dining section in an elevated area to the left of the entrance that can accommodate larger parties of up to 12 to 14. They have an additional dining area upstairs for larger parties. Our drink and water glasses were refilled and empty plates and soup cups removed in a timely manner by a bus staff. Big thanks to Elizabeth for being so welcoming and friendly. She also shared her background as well as the owners' in confirming this is a local business from locals who grew up here. Looking forward to find a Friday to try that prime rib.

Great pizza place! The pizzas are freshly baked, soft, and juicy. I've tried it many times and it's always delicious!

Even though this spot is all the way on the other side of the city for us, we gladly make the trip--often! The food is consistently fantastic, and the service is always warm and welcoming. As a vegan, I really appreciate how many thoughtful and flavorful plant-based options they offer. It's not just an afterthought here--everything from the fresh ingredients to the creative combinations shows real care and attention. The [insert standout vegan dish if you have one] is a must-try, and their vegan desserts never disappoint. It's rare to find a place that nails it on both food and hospitality, but they do it every time. Highly recommend to anyone, vegan or not, looking for delicious food and great vibes.

    The vegan wings are awesome!!
    Me M.

The sister (owner) and brother who run Cybelle's are wonderful, personable, efficient, kind, and fun. Their vegan menu is fantastic especially their vegan wings and messy sandwich. They have delicious beignets that can have cookie butter and/or chocolate dip. Sometimes they have homemade sangria that isn't too sweet and seasonal desserts. They also will do special events from time to time where you are able to reserve a spot or the restaurant. They have a regular menu too where you can get vegetarian and meat pizzas, pastas, and more. It's a definite place to eat for vegetarians and everyone else. The ambiance is like an old school pizza place with 2 levels, a fireplace, and holiday decorations.

If you're looking to try a unique pizza parlor, I highly recommend CyBelles. I am a ranch girlyyy dipper and the pizza we got (Pacific Heights) has ranch sauce as its base sauce!!! It's honestly one of the best pizza I've ever had! It had the perfect amount of toppings, sauce and cheese. The crust was nice and toasty as well! The calamari was good but I think it could've been better. It was lacking in seasoning (). I will definitely just come back for the pizza alone :)

    Loaded Impossible Fries

The BEST vegan restaurant in San Francisco!!!! I take every person I come to the city with to Cybelle's, vegan or otherwise, and everyone leaves frothing at the mouth for more. The carbonara, calzone, black truffle gnocchi, AND BEIGNETS are to die for!! Infinity stars and I will continue to patron this place until I die.

Tonight, we ordered quite a bit of food, and everything was delicious. We had no issues with the service throughout our meal, left a good tip, and overall had a great dining experience, until the very end. After dinner, we called an Uber and stepped outside when it was getting close to arriving. Unfortunately, our Uber driver cancelled, and it was very cold outside so we went back inside to ask if we could sit and wait at the bar for the next Uber. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored. One server in particular, who was wearing army-print pants, was serving tables near the front where we were standing. She made eye contact with us, looked away, and then began talking about us to the workers behind the bar. At no point did anyone acknowledge us or let us know whether we could wait inside. For the remainder of the time, they avoided eye contact and continued to ignore us until our Uber finally arrived. What made this especially disappointing is that we genuinely love the restaurant and have supported it enough to give gift certificates to our own family. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable, we simply wanted to wait inside for 15 minutes because our rides kept canceling and it was cold outside. Even if the bar wasn't available for us to wait at, a simple "I'm sorry, we can't accommodate that" would have been completely understandable. The food is still excellent, but the way we were treated at the end of the night left a really bad impression. I hope this was an isolated experience because we've otherwise really enjoyed Itria but we will likely not dine here again. It felt really unwelcoming and left a bad taste after paying over $350 + 20%tip for our meal.

The experience began the moment we stepped into the restaurant in San Francisco, where she personally greeted and cared for her guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike the typical flour-heavy gnocchi, these potato-based dumplings were incredibly light, tender, and practically melted in your mouth while pairing beautifully with the savory pesto. To finish, the Cannoli Alla Siciliana provided the perfect balance of crunch and sweetness, with a hint of chocolate chips. Amelia recommended one pasta dish per person in the party, to share family style (which ended up working well for us, since we also got three appetizers, and finished the meal with a small amount of yummy leftovers for tomorrow) so that's what we did, along with the starters... We got the "big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta," which were incredible; the bread was delicious and certainly is not just a side to the amazing (definitely juicy) herbed tender meatballs. I'd definitely get this again, along with the grilled zucchini with worm salt and mint, which was so flavorful and tasty. We also got the smokey romano beans with fire roasted tomato, which was also really good but just keep in mind the emphasis on the smokey flavor! It wasn't my cup of tea but that's for sure a personal thing. For pastas, I'd rank them in this order: 1. our favorite was today's lasagna du jour, which was mushroom! So delicious, with a crispy cheesy crust, soft tender interior, and an almost caramelized tomato sauce accompanying. 2. Reginette with pork sugo (meat sauce) and spicy turnip greens was next, which had wonderful flavor with the tomato-based sauce and pieces of pork but if you like it slightly softer texture it might not be for you (same with the fusilli; the go-to preparation is aldente!). 3. Fusilli alla vodka with tomato, calabrian chili, cream, basil, and added garlic butter shrimps; this one's sauce felt a little underwhelming and more watery than creamy, and I'm just now realizing that although the menu said four garlic butter shrimp (an extra $7), we only got three. I think I'd come back for the lasagna and/or to buy the pasta from their expansive stock, cook it a bit longer, and serve it covered in a decadent creamy sauce.

My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable--he gave thorough, detailed descriptions and recommendations on the wine list and the food menu (beyond what I would've expected). He even replaced my water and apologized after realizing he poured it to the brim, which really wasn't an issue but I appreciated his correction anyway. We ordered the side of wood grilled corn to start, I ordered the malfadine al limone pasta and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. The wood grilled corn had a nice char to it and we enjoyed the accompanying sauce and cheese on top; however, based on the menu description I was expecting a little more of a Calabrian chili flavor / kick. The pomodoro was good but nothing to write home about, and the malfadine was a bit of a surprise / the highlight! I enjoyed the curly pasta texture and loved the lightness of the sauce paired with the salt flavor and complexity of the salmon roe on top. We love a good dessert but nothing caught our eye on the menu this time, as we don't prefer the soft, creamy desserts like panna cotta (as opposed to something more tangible like a cannoli). Lastly, we also had the following glasses of wine: Verdecchio, Verdeca, Montepulciano, and the Carignan Blend. As someone that loves crisp white wines with high acidity and minerality, I loved the Verdecchio. The Verdeca was refreshing but too light and not fruit forward enough for my preference. We both liked the Carignan, as we like deeper berry flavors, and the Montepulciano was OK (didn't love but didn't dislike). Would definitely love to come back and try some of the other wine varieties and menu options!
