This is a restaurant we frequent because my husband has one favorite dish here and he loves it. We cannot find anything else that the rest of us like here so we try something different all the time and are so disappointed. My husband's favorite dish is the enlightened Aji tuna salad but the amount of tuna that is around the edge of the bowl has so greatly reduced and for $21 to get such a small amount of tuna is outrageous! He does at least say it's delicious. Now the three of the things I've gotten that are horrible are Parmesan crusted chicken, crispy chicken sandwich, and the chicken fried chicken. All of their fried chicken dishes must use the exact same type of chicken breast and the texture and chew is unbearable. I literally cannot eat it and not gag. I tried to eat as much of it as I can, but you just keep chewing into something that is so gross. So the common denominator there is do not get anything with fried chicken breast. My sister-in-law got the strawberry Fields salad with grilled chicken once and their grilled chicken was decent. It did not have the same texture at all that the fried chicken dishes have. One time I got their bone in wings and they were undercooked and just not good. They were cooked through enough to be edible, but not cooked enough for the texture to be good. My husband said they were awful as well. The hamburgers are just nothing special at all so I don't wanna buy those. Their fries are very boring nothing special. So basically I keep coming so he can have this great salad but everything else on the menu has not been very good at all. One time I had the flatbread pizza it was like pizza that was cooked on a cracker. It literally was hard to eat. My son got the slow roasted tri-tip once and said he would never get that again. I once got the chili and it tasted so incredibly strong of beer. I knew that it was a shiner bock chili. I just didn't expect it to be that strong. I think they poured a little bit of fresh beer right on the top to make you think you were getting a great deal somehow but it ruined the flavor. I don't know. Broccoli cheddar soup not that great. How do you mess that up. I would want to try the chicken club, but the chicken looks too thick when I eat a chicken club I want shaved deli meat. It's a pretty pricey restaurant for the quality of food you're getting. I just don't know what to say. It's sad! I think this is my first ever bad review. I just feel like they need to know that their quality is not great and they need to step it up! I'm at least glad that people are going there but I'm not sure what they are ordering. The restaraunt itself was a very nice place. Well kept and clean. During the week I generally sit at the bar. This was not my normal location tho I still sat at the bar. The food was ok. I go the Guacamole Bacon burger and the house Blonde beer. The meat on the burger was too overdone. It was dry inside and there was WAY to much charring on the outside. The flavor was more of burnt meat than seasonings. Add injury to insult, the bartender that tends the area was pretty much non existent. I don't recall his name, but he was the only one behind the counter in a very not busy restaurant during late lunch. It took hime over 5 minutes of me sitting there before he even acknowledged my existence. I finally get my beer and it's another 8 minutes before he takes my order. Not sure what he was busy with, but it wasn't in the dining area. AT one point I saw him chatting it up with another co worker for 5-6 minutes as my beer glass was getting empty. Checked this location out a few weeks ago. It was a Friday about 4:30pm. One other couple at the bar. Bar tender was lackluster. Didnt provide any happy hour specials, was confused when I would ask his opinion on any food items. He lacked customer service but was very social with his coworkers and regulars. Offering up multiple samples while I barely got acknowledged I rarely saw mangers walk by to be proactive, especially as it got busier, I don't see the usually hustle and bustle of service. Just left and let me tell you this was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The food was horrible, the service was terrible, I can't believe I ever said I was a fan of BJ's. We came for a graduation celebration so we had a big table with kids. It took almost 15 minutes for our drinks to be ordered and at that point we were ready to order food. The waitress was obviously either new or never had a big party because she was all over the place. While in the middle of me giving my order she starts having a conversation with another waitress. She didn't even bother to say excuse me, just started talking. That was a first for me! As a previous server myself I usually don't say anything about waiters but this was bad service period. Then we ordered alcoholic beverages, no water came out with them. It took almost 20 additional minutes for our regular drinks to come out. Now the kids are getting antsy because they are thirsty. When the drinks do come out she left no straws and immediately walked away. Took another 3-5 minutes for her to come back. We were still missing a drink so we waited another 3-5 minutes on that and she brought the wrong drink, now we're waiting again and you get the point. Finally the food comes out.. outside of kids meals most of the adults ordered the sampler. One of my wings were so burnt it had no meat on it, the spinach dip was watery, salty, and cold. The food was so bad I honestly did not want to pay. The server barely came and checked in. We go here a lot as a family and we are always satisfied. I have NEVER written a review on a restaurant or facility, but this was actually so bad I had to download yelp just to do this. Definitely won't be coming back! We came for an early dinner. We order the $13 meals. One of the soups ended up having a fly in it. The server told the manager. The manger came over and said "the soups are covered, it must have flown in after." It doesn't matter when it happened. It happens in your restaurant when my kid was eating the soup. I prefer to sit in the bar area because the servers in this area are really nice and I feel like they enjoy being there. Came here tonight for a pizookie and was not disappointed! My friends and I wanted a free dessert, so we signed up for BJ's rewards program online. Once we entered the restaurant, we got seated very quickly. Our waiter took our order and we gave him our phone number to access the free pizookie reward. It was incredibly easy and hassle free! As per usual, the Salted Caramel Pizookie that I ordered was delicious. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the pizookie not being very hot when it initially came out. She huffed that she actually had to walk us to our table. We just should had left then... We ordered their homemade non-alcoholic drinks and a large pizza. The pizza rack came out first with plates and tri fold brown paper towels... ? Not sure what the pathetic paper towels were for. The pizza stand had a warped top and bottom, the legs were not level. We ordered a large pizza so this will be fun. The hockey playoff game was on with no sound and people were clearly watching it as it involved the home town team. Low volume should have been a requirement. My son as an engineering student folded the paper tri-fold paper into a support so the pizza stand would not tip ... As Much. The pizza came out and was dropped onto the stand and the waitress left. The pizza ordered was the house special tomato and cheese with pepperoni added. Let's be clear, the pizza was more of a pan pizza than deep dish. We asked for Ranch dressing and it came out in a single bowl. The tomato sauce was almost non-existent and the cheese was described as a five cheese blend. It was pathetic. The sauce and cheese did not even reach the appropriate distance to the edge. The tastiest part was the oil on it. Never ever again... will we order pizza from here. We passed on desert and tipped our waitstaff as they were trying to do their very best. This was an easy order... and should have been a score for a deep dish pizza, we walked out with a $38 bill before tip. Instead we had a stand that was warped On the top and bottom. The pizza topping did not reach the edges and did not have enough sauce or toppings. This is not worth the fight. A gentleman near us had sent back his dinner for being cold. We were wrapped up when his second dinner arrived and the manager nervously hovered nearby to hopefully make sure it was right. I saw no point of complaining about pizza. Staff- score 4 out of 5 that actually worked. Staff standing around and stickers- no score. Cleanliness- 4 out of 5 stars. Smart service for putting a heavy hot pizza on an aluminum warped stand - 1 out of 5. Drinks- 3 out of 5 for being overpriced and non refillable. Pizza - 2 out of 5. Some holiday errands led us up north and in need of a quick lunch. I didn't want to have to wait to be seated on this busy Saturday at Christmastime, and I didn't want to worry about gluten free this or that, so BJs was a safe bet. Always A-Ok. Reliable. Lots of gf options. And the food can be really good depending on what you get. Jon wasn't thrilled with his Alfredo pasta with grilled chicken, for instance. I admit the dish looked quite.... dry. All of it. It also seemed way too expensive for a basic pasta dish, even if it had been perfect. Smelled delicious, though. I had the soup and salad lunch combo which has yet to let me down. Lunch combos are about $13 or $14, I believe. I'm all about a wedge salad, cold and crisp. I love the sound and feeling of sawing through the lettuce. BJs' version is maybe a little too watery for my preference, but it still has a solid crunch, plenty of bleu cheese and, well, they could have added more bacon for sure. Meanwhile, the tomato soup and broccoli cheese are both gluten free and creamy and enjoyable, especially on a cold day. I prefer the tomato (just in general but also because BJs' broccoli cheese soup is a little too thick for me, it's almost like queso). On this occasion my soup came out a little too cold in my opinion. I like my soup hot hot hot and objectively think it should be served so.! But they will happily warm it up if needed. read more

Let me get to the good stuff, the food! The tavern cut pizza is a thin crust pizza and I love thin crust pizza and this didn't really do it for me. It was dry and they were too stingy with the toppings. I'm not sure if it's different for dine in but for curbside pick up it's a strong NO for me. The pizza lacked the flavor, toppings and love that I expect from a thin crust pizza. You will spend more but you're better going to Marcos for a few extra dollars. Now the chocolate chunk pizookie and ice cream on the other hand was really good!! It's a cookie big enough to share and the vanilla ice cream is soft and delectable!! The whole reason BJs gets my 3 stars is because of this cookie!! Overall is your are a dessert person it's worth the trip but if you are coming strictly for the thin crust pizza I would pass. The service was ok. I had to call in for my order after checkin in on the app. I was put on hold when the place is empty, then I was transferred. It has been a while since we dined at BJs. The host did not ask if we were a rewards member. We are, but it was (apparently) unimportant. He made no warning about the steps which previous hosts would mention. A request for a full-size booth, instead of the small booth the host was trying to seat us at, caused panic. He said that he had to return to the host station to make that happen. Noteworthy, the place was very empty. There was a total of four tables / booths occupied in the center section. Many full-size booths were available. Rather than start over at the host station, we reluctantly opted for a table. al. Our server, Gabriel, was nice. He took our order without writing anything down, came back later to verify that I ordered the Ahi Salad. Food was good, but not exceptional. Broccoli cheese soup had little broccoli. Ahi tuna was a little tougher than expected and needed a knife to cut several pieces. Where we were sitting, we could see the host stand and noticed at one time five servers and hosts 'hanging out" in between checking their tables. Some were touching/playing with their hair. If they were overstaffed, but it would be better to gather away from the customers' line of sight. Our limited observation leads us to think the shortcomings are a management/training issue. Update: to further prove my point, the owner used a template response to this review as it still says _NAME_. We decided to come to BJs for a date night since we hadn't been here in awhile. The restaurant was a little over half full yet they were severely understaffed. We ordered the wed special, burger with unlimited fries. It was 50 minutes before food came out, and our burgers were almost cold. My fiancé's burger didn't even come with fries because they weren't ready. Both of our plates got a very small portion of fries I could still see most the plate. Our waitress never asked if we wanted another round of fries, another drink, or even dessert before she dropped the check to us. I watched several plates get sent back to the kitchen, servers sent to the wrong tables with orders from other tables, frustrated waiters who were dumping plates on tables and hustling back to kitchen. While we wanted to raise these concerns to the manager, we were surprised that the manager was not even attempting to make rounds to check on customers or even saw a manager. Based on the responses to these reviews, the owner doesn't seem to care if customers return by simply telling them to tell the manager and it'll get better. If the manager was on the floor to notice half the horrible service I was, they should have been making rounds. Horrible service for a weeknight, I can only imagine how horrible weekends are here now. Won't be back until they can hire enough servers to handle half capacity. read more

Food was horrible ! Came with my wife and two daughters. Ordered avocado egg rolls which were good. Then ordered full stack ribs with asparagus and premium side Brussel sprouts, the ribs were super stiff, dried and over cooked. Not to mention the asparagus were literally needle thick sucked dried and I never even received my Brussel sprouts as if they were forgotten (I mind you they are considered premium sides for an up charge). My daughter got butter noodles and they came very crispy and drenched in butter. My wife got the prime rib with asparagus and her asparagus as well were needle size sucked dried. Granted, my server Nathan was very attentive and got the manager upon request. GM Brian came to speak with us and was very polite about the situation noticing the poor quality of the food. He pretty much asked if he can make it right which he did. Thank you Nathan and Brian for making the effort in making this bad experience better.
