In all fairness, I was actually at RTC for something else and happened to park my car in the parking lot next to BJ's and thought I'd give it a try since my friend and I were curious. We ordered the Mac and cheese Cheesecake Factory knockoff, fettuccini Alfredo with chicken, the lunch special (chicken bacon ranch pizza with Caesar salad and dessert). Okay... so my salad was super small... and soggy. My friend said it was like cafeteria food and I agree. The pizza on the menu looks so misleading. It's a pic of a personal pan pizza on a hot sizzling deep dish pan. I thought mine was gonna come like that... nope! It looked like a sad personal pan pizza from papa Murphy's take n bake, but without the bake. The dough tasted almost like it was raw and uncooked. There's not a lot of options for vegetarians, but whenever we go, we get the crispy jalapeño burger with a veggie patty and that is always delicious. I love their fries. They're coated and some batter before they're fried, which makes them taste really crispy and delicious. My family and I are big fans of the Kazuki. Our favorite is the chocolate chunk which is a basic chocolate chip cookie with vanilla vanilla ice cream. If you go on Tuesdays, it's only five dollars. I think it's totally worth it. The personal pan pizza is a little too expensive in my opinion so are the appetizers for what we get. The avocado eggrolls are delicious but everything else is super mad.. normally we get seated pretty quickly, but our food comes to us pretty slow. We made reservations at BJs RTC to enjoy the USA v. Belgium WC game. They seated our group in the back section with 2 small screens when there were plenty of room in the middle section with larger screens. When we asked, the host told us - "the booths are too small", and then "those tables are reserved" (note that we also had reservations). And then he blurted out "this is not a sports bar". There were plenty of other tables available where he could've accommodated us. It was clear he didn't want our group to sit in the middle section or didn't care at all. Haven't been to BJ's in a very long time, especially since they took my favorite item off the menu. My cousins and I went often a long time ago, like 20 years ago. My nephew wanted pizza, so we decided to come here, so that there'd be something for everyone on the menu. Of course, when we got here, my nephew decided he didn't want pizza anymore, and got chicken strips instead on the kid's menu. I took my parents to BJ's restaurant for the first time last night. We are visiting Washington and I assumed that this BJ's would be like others. The food was good however, the service at this establishment was very poor. We ordered the pizza and salad and the pizza arrived before the salad. We had to ask for refills three times and the kicker was when we were walking out with our desserts to go because we had been there for over an hour and a half the manager and a server came out and asked us if we were taking someone else's food. We visited for a late lunch on Saturday with a party of 6 adults and 4 kids and it could have been better. We arrived and were seated in the back room, on the right, the place was mostly empty. The waiter stopped by, said hi, then left. He came back about 5 min later to take drink orders. We started with apps; Crispy Chili Potstickers, Garlic Shrimp with Toast, Wings, Chips and Guac, and Ahi Poke. The apps were all well made and tasty. For mains we had a Chicken Club Sandwich, Brewhouse Philly, Great White Pizza, California Club Flatbread, and kids meals. The entrees were standard BJs fare, good, but nothing special. The service is where things fell apart. After taking drink orders, the waiter disappeared for 10 mins, then came back and said they were out of root beer. He left after we replaced that order, and was gone for another 5 mins. We had to ask for straws twice, my son had to go to the bar to get sweetener for the ice tea...etc. He was absent for long periods, leaving water glasses empty and requests unheard. Walked in at 5:35 and sat at the bar. Another guy pulled up a stool ten minutes later, still not acknolwedged by the bartender. A couple on the other side of him was waiting to pay their check a few minutes after 6:00. Finally at 6:15 I asked someone walking by if I could have a beer, who graciously stopped for about 5 minutes to handle the entire bar that was waiting for service. By 6:25, the bar had cleared. I've never experienced anything like this before. It wasn't until about 6:10 or so that the manager finally came out of the back office and started pouring a couple drinks. Only saving grace was the employee that went out of her way, and unfortunately that 5 minute break to help us probably cost her tips. This is not the employees' fault. This is the fault of the ownership and manager. If you're that short-staffed, get off your chair and help your employees. read more

I cannot possibly fathom how terrible of a time I had at BJ's brewhouse. When I came, it was very nice. The service was nice, but it did take them about 45 minutes to bring the food to the table. Once they brought the food. The food was regular. Everything tasted fine and I tasted a bite of my friends food and it was fine but then when I tried to eat my salad, I was eating it and it wasn't bad. It didn't taste too bad, but then I moved my fork and there was the largest grasshopper I have ever seen in my life in the middle of my salad bowl and I thought it was a piece of lettuce and I almost ate it and it was so scary because I have a deep fear of crickets and grasshoppers after 1000+ of them were released into my room when I was four. Sides were steamed broccoli - which you can tell have been sitting in a hot light for at least an hour (no posture what so ever) Asparagus- same as broccoli and were meaty dried out. Wife's mashed potatoes - scooped from pot and thrown toppings on. Asked to have "mushroom/onions" as topping for Ribeye I which didn't arrive on it with steak. After 15-20 min they were brought out (made to order) to add to my steak. Later was charged for them and immediately upon asking she said "want me to remove?" Uh-yes, hello!!! Shouldn't have been charged and/or given delays should've asked manager to stop by table and address (was too busy sitting at hostess area to great any of the maybe 30 guests of a likely 300 capacity restaurant. We received a gift card from a friend to BJ's and came in Friday night for dinner. We arrived around 6pm and were immediately seated at a booth. We've been to BJ's many times for dessert but rarely for dinner. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and my husband got a bacon guacamole burger. I enjoyed my spaghetti but didn't think it was anything special. It was a very large portion and I was able to take half home for leftovers though which was great! My husband thought his burger was only mediocre. The best thing here is the pizookies in my opinion. We got a trio of minis with chocolate chunk and triple chocolate pizookies. We started digging in right away, so I forgot to take a picture of the delicious treats! Overall, we had an enjoyable experience and there was a nice ambiance. There is a large parking lot which is used with other businesses. I had an easy time finding close parking on a Sunday evening. We were seated quickly. The service was extremely friendly. Our food took quite a while to come out. The server even brought it up first and apologized. It was not busy at all, so not sure why that happened. The deep dish pizza is pretty good. It isn't really a traditional deep dish. Just a thick, soft dough. We tried the cinnamon roll pizookie. It was not cooked completely in the middle of each cinnamon roll. Unfortunately the low reviews for BJ's Restaurant are accurate due to the extremely poor quality food and customer service from the restaurant managers. We ordered several entrees from the menu, including the ribs with sides and the food was inedible. The worst entree were the ribs, which had an awful fibrous and sinewy texture like they were spoiled. We felt sick with symptoms of food poisoning after consuming less than 1/2 of our dinner. Wished we had checked out Yelp reviews and the food safety ratings by the health department for King County before visiting BJ's. The restaurant was shut down in May because the general manager was ill with norovirus (a highly contagious virus that causes acute gastroenteritis) and came into work potentially spreading the virus to all the staff and patrons. The health department shut the restaurant down due to the risk of a virus outbreak, but the general manager (think her name is Melissa) placed signs on the front doors that stated the restaurant was shut down for a maintenance issue, which was deceptive and completely untruthful. The health department has issued an unsatisfactory "Good" health rating for BJ's Restaurant after multiple inspections due to food being kept off temperature (not at the appropriate cold or hot temperature that is safe for food to be served to the public) and several other critical violations for unsafe food handling practices. We like to support local businesses & restaurants, but we will not be back since the management of the restaurant does NOT do a competent job of providing adequate customer service standards and fresh ingredients and food. It's also concerning that both the general manager and executive chef are not transparent with the community about safe food practices. Good thing BJ's has lots of competition as there's plenty of restaurants, cafes, & dining spots in Redmond and on the Eastside with an "Excellent" food safety rating (consistently followed high standards and had NO or MINOR unsafe food handling practices) serving delicious cuisine for us to visit instead. read more

Our waitress was very good and attentive . There were 5 of us and 3 said their food was very good (shrimp scampi with steak) and clam chowder in bread bowl. My husband and I shared the prime rib which we should have sent back because it was very rare instead of medium rare which we ordered; and the baked potato was cold. When we arrived for our party they had given the room to a large group of teens going to a dance and had put us in the middle of the restaurant. First time here! Would compare the vibes to a Claim Jumper restaurant which used to be the same building in the past actually and a more upscale Applebee's lol. Also reminds me of The Cheesecake Factory restaurant too. I love the comfy booths and all the televisions playing different sports. Our waitress Carrie was super kind and attentive. We ordered the Wednesday daily specials $1 wings and $5 BJ's signature beers to start off. When it was time to pay (30 minutes after having finished eating), we asked to split the bill, but instead got multiple copies of the full check. After waiting another 10 minutes, we had to ask again just to get the bill. I paid in cash, and the change I was given made it impossible to leave an appropriate tip... he gave me a $20 and $1 bill. This is only a Pizookie review!!! We came here on Tuesdays since BJ's offers a $5 pizookie deal every Tuesday. The Hot Fudge Pizookie was probably one of the best desserts I've had in a while. The vanilla ice cream blended in perfectly with the brownie and the cashews provided a nice savory/sweet touch. The S'mores was alright, not as good as the Hot Fudge. I felt that the marshmellows were a bit much and didn't really blend well with the dish, plus they were a bit hard to eat. I would recommend coming here for a sweet treat on Tuesdays. Our first and probably last visit ever. We stopped in for dinner last week since we were in the neighborhood and were completely underwhelmed to say the least. The restaurant is definitely dated, but we were seated quickly at 5:30pm and took some time to peruse the menu. Nothing in particular stood out, so I went with a bacon cheeseburger and fries and my husband did a chicken power bowl. Our server brought our son a complimentary garlic knot and side of strawberries, which was a nice surprise, but the food itself really fell flat. My burger was extremely dry and hard to choke down and the power bowl didn't seem freshly made at all. My guess is it was preassembled and the grilled chicken was placed on top. The guacamole was already turning brown and the chicken was quite dry as well. The pizookie was definitely the best of the bunch, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here just for dessert. I eat at BJs every now and then, the first time in Albuquerque and a few times back in Oregon -- and up till now, I always looked forward to the experience. But not so with BJs in Redmond, Washington. For a $35 steak (plus drink and tip), the ribeye was tough, overcooked, and mottled with too much connective membrane (see photo if you dare). The asparagus had not had the ends trimmed properly and was withered and parched. I ordered a plain baked potato but instead was on the receiving end of a pile of pale flavorless mashed potatoes. The service? Competent but relatively flat and inattentive. I felt generous about leaving a fifteen percent tip. Depending on their reaction to my comments, this experience may have soured my relationship with all BJs in the future -- there are so many other Franchise steakhouses out there that my loyalty to this one is thin.
