Ate here for a friend's birthday the other night and the food, service and atmosphere were all excellent if outrageously expensive. Had delicious Beef Carpaccio, Ceasar Salad and Shrimp Cocktail for the appetizers and the Wagyu Rib Eye for the main which melted like butter in my mouth.

Service was amazing! You pay high(er) prices with the expectation of great service and this was the case with Melody. The Wellington ended up being over-cooked but good. The Brioche was tasty but large for 2. The crab cake was meh. I would come back for service and sushi.

A fancy steakhouse in Toronto. The interior is very nice, very comfortable seating, and elegant decor. We ate the following: - House Baguette - this was paired with the sun-dried tomato whipped butter, and it was good. Bread was soft and crispy on the outside. - Lobster Bisque - I thought the soup was okay, a bit on the bland side, but portions were big. - Beef Carpaccio - flavours were great paired with the cheese and mushrooms. - Tenderloin - medium rare was good. The meat was tender and paired well with the squash sauce and mashed potatoes. - Basque Cheesecake - flavours were okay, lots of berries on top though. Good pairing. Service was great, and the servers were very attentive. They topped up my glass of water whenever it was empty. They personally placed the napkin on your lap, and will fold your napkin when you're away from your seat. Overall, it was a good experience at Black+Blue.

Went for their happy hour recently. Soooo good. Things to know. Located in First Canadian Place near the NE corner of King and York. Closest Subway stop is St. Andrew. For Happy Hour they will seat you at or near the bar. Great food and drink options. Highly recommend the fried chicken and beef yorkshires. We did splurge at the end and had Crepes Suzette for dessert. Pleasant service and wonderful ambiance. They even have these little footstools to put your purse on.

THE BIG: Beautiful steakhouse right off of King St W and York St. Modern and eclectic ambiance inside with street/valet and garage parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with my team after a successful Toronto summit and we got placed in a private room with the football game on. When I got in, there was already an opened bottle of wine in a magnum bottle that took a village to finish. For starters, we got a couple of calamaris and oysters. For other dishes there was seared scallops, burrata salad, and crab cakes. For the beef, weshared agigantic cowboy rib-eye for the table, though this place is known for their access to A5 wagyu and kobe beef. That will be the next thing ill get when I'm back. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall damage done here was around $2000 for the magnum bottle of bordeaux along with steaks, fries, breads and the sides. Super delicious and service was great.

5/5 -- Best Service and Dining Experience in Toronto. Full Stop. I've traveled all over the world and eaten at countless high-end restaurants, but I can honestly say this was the best service I've ever received. Full stop. I actually went two days in a row -- not just because the food was that good (which it absolutely was) -- but because I felt like I belonged there. The team made me feel like more than just a guest. Kwaku, Jean Paul, and Milan were phenomenal. Every recommendation they gave me hit the mark... except for the tartare -- I just wasn't a fan of that one. Now, let's talk food: The Ribeye: Cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully, and sliced just right. Wagyu Fried Rice: Rich, flavorful, and layered with umami goodness. Croissant Bread: Unreal -- soft, buttery, and topped with melted cheese that pulls like a dream. Mac & Cheese Sticks: Easily the best I've ever had. The truffle sauce took them over the top. Calamari: Perfectly crispy, light, and fresh -- I should've tried it with the truffle sauce too! Butter Cake Dessert: Out. Of. Control. I don't even like desserts, but this one completely won me over. All in all, if you're willing to pay a premium price for an unforgettable meal paired with impeccable service, this is the place. Easily my best dining experience in all my visits to Toronto. Will I be back? Is that even a question???

We finally crossed the restaurant off my must try list and it was worth the wait. From the moment we were seated the experience was great, thanks in large part to our wonderful and knowledgeable server, Candy. We started with an impressive array of appetizers the crispy calamari truly one of the best in Toronto, and the Beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth perfection. The Burata salad was the clear favourite for the evening among the salads, though the Cesar was also delicious. For the mains the New York Striploin and the surprisingly delicious lobster gnocchi (definitely a must try next time) were perfect. My only slight disappointment was my own order of Rib Eye, which I ordered medium rare but arrived a bit too rare something I had higher expectations given the restaurant's reputation. Overall experience was quite good. My one regret is missing Beef Wellington they had run out due to high demand on Chinese New Year

Venue: 5/5 I had a great time at Black and Blue Steakhouse. The atmosphere is elegant and upscale, perfect for a steakhouse experience. Comfortable seating, great lighting, and an inviting vibe made the evening even more enjoyable. High ceilings and a great meeting spot for many finance industry members. Parking is via underground garages, or at TD Plaza and cross via the path. Service: 5/5 The service is always excellent, the waiters are attentive, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They provided great recommendations on both drinks and entrées, making the experience feel personalized and elevated. I saw they brought out different cuts and sizes for another party to visualize prior to ordering too! Food: 5/5 We started with calamari and French onion soup, both fresh and flavorful. For mains, we had the NY strip and the beef Wellington, both cooked perfectly to our medium rare specification. The sides of creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and steamed carrots complemented the dishes beautifully. Everything was prepared with care and exceeded expectations.

Whenever I travel I try to find hidden gems, something that I can talk about with my foodie friends when I get home. I came to Black+Blue as part of a catered event while in town for a meeting. Given how large the crowd was I can't say this is a hidden spot, but I definitely thought it was a gem. We had the private meal out on a patio. The staff was attentive and the food and drink selections were outstanding. Inside the restaurant just had a nice energy and hum to it. The there is a great cocktail and wine list. This is definitely a spot for steak lovers. They have a nice aging wrack on the side that is always a nice touch. There is also a sizable sushi and raw menu to round out the steak. The bar was well laid out and I generally liked the style of the interior. There is a second floor for additional seating. Overall this was a very nice restaurant with an upscale feel. It would be a great choice for a special celebration, but prices are on the high end for just a regular night out.

Fantastic dinner with a larger group. Sat upstairs with a great view and lovely ambiance. Our server James was fantastic and dealt well with our large, and sometimes difficult, group. Great wine and cocktail list, everyone was happy with their choices. Particularly the old fashioned. My recommendations on food: -sushi is amazing, super fresh and so good -oysters were so great and the sauces really compliment them -tenderloin was amazing, get the sauce trio with it -asparagus was great, love the sauce -lobster mashed potatoes are a must, best side -butter cake is the best choice for dessert and a specialty of theirs

Came for summerlicious. Our reservation was at 9:30 and we waited a few minutes before being seated. The hostess that walked us to our table walked really fast, and as we followed her another server almost backed up into me twice with dirty dishes. Sat upstairs and got a beautiful view of the whole restaurant. Our server, Kyle M, was super friendly and checked up on us at a good interval. He offered to take pictures for us too. He gave great recommendations too. Definitely was the highlight of the service. The Wagyu tataki appetizer was filling and cooked perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the string beans that it comes with and loved the sauce. The tenderloin was cooked at fine, but looked to be a smaller portion. Makes sense on a Summerlicious portion. The mashed potatoes were my favourite part of the dish. The Bouillabaisse was yummy! Had clams, mussels, shrimp, tomatoes, salmon, and white fish. The soup was seasoned deliciously. I only wished there was some carb to go with it on the side. Chose the butter cake over the strawberry shortcake because we were told the shortcake is more dense in comparison due to it being gluten free. The butter cake was delicious indeed. It was the perfect temperature, soft centre, and not too sweet. It feels sophisticated inside but most patrons were dressed rather casual. Ambiance was great for couples or large groups. Great spots for photos too. Entrance is through the corporate building, not the street.

$ + : solid value for the price, especially with the great service and nice patio vibes. We sat outside, so I didn't see the interior, but the patio was cozy and cute with lots of fans to keep things cool even in the summer heat. Food-wise, a few highlights: * Beef carpaccio: good combo of flavour and texture. * Striploin: juicy, perfectly medium rare, and that chimichurri hit just right. * Strawberry shortcake: a refreshing finish, especially if you're not big on sweet desserts. The rest of the menu was fresh and well-plated, maybe not the most memorable, but still enjoyable. Definitely a fun Summerlicious pick.

That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings.
