Black sugar Boba is this really cool Boba place located on Wilshire. The people inside were so nice. The service was really good and the smoothies came out pretty fast. So I got the Oreo smoothie with whole milk black Boba and I got whipped cream on mine and it was delicious. Highly highly highly enjoyed it. It had a great texture consistency to it. You can really taste the Oreo. It was nice and smooth. The Boba was delicious. I might've asked for a bit less , but what I really wanna brag about is the whipped cream. The whip cream had like this saltines to it that really helped balance out the sweetness of the smoothie it's the first time I've ever tried whipped cream like that and I would definitely recommend if you get a sweet drink to try the whipped cream because it was absolutely delicious. I'm a big fan of it and I wanna learn how to make it myself now I got you.

It was quiet & empty when I went in the afternoon. There's a kiosk to order at and then someone makes the order. We ordered the matcha milk tea & strawberry matcha milk tea. The drinks were milder in the matcha taste and milkier. Boba was soft and chewy & they have mini boba. The mini boba are smaller than the ones I've had at other places. They have indoor seating to sit and enjoy the drinks. Parking- street parking

I've been coming to the spot for probably close to a year now and I at this point pretty much get the same thing The black sugar blended tea. I don't have a single thing to complain about for this drink it's just so good probably could drink two.. The places relatively small, and nestled on a busy street with unfortunately poor parking. But I've been fortunate enough to usually find street parking. Keep in mind that like many tea places they are open later in the day and open later in the evening, great for those early night cravings. They're ordering system is pretty easy and they're very quick about making drinks so service is pretty good I would say. The inside has a few spots to sit, but don't expect to have any large groups at this location. Seems like a great spot to sit down for an hour or two and get some work done while you enjoy one of their great drinks. And to add by the way.. they're consistency with the drinks is pretty impressive, the same every time and great every time. The blended drink I mentioned above has a great texture, great black sugar flavor, and the right amount of richness. Can't wait to come back!

Ordered the Jasmine milk tea with boba. This was the one drink I was able to order unsweetened (need to ask since the kiosk doesn't have that adjustment option listed). The tea flavor was nice, wish it could have been a tad stronger but overall the tea was very smooth. The boba on the other hand, had a nice chew but was a bit bland. The boba didn't have much sweetness or flavor to it. I would rate about a 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4! The ambiance is here really cute! My drink was ready quickly and service was good. There is the tiniest parking lot behind the building, otherwise parking is a bit limited (metered street). I did see a parking structure across the street but not sure if it's a validated lot.

Loved the boba and the mochi waffle with the best whipped cream ever! They have alternative milks which is great! Cute shop-super friendly and kind staff spotless!

This brand new boba place is so cute, & they are so friendly! I came with a few friends & we each got a drink, & shared the mochi waffle. Michelle & Honey were so sweet to us! My friends loved their drinks & I loved my Matcha - and that waffle is to die for. This is my new fave boba place - highly recommend!

I ordered the Pistachio Matcha with Oat Milk + Jasmine Silk Boba at 50% sweetness. The pistachio flavor was dominant on this, and the creaminess goes well with the tea flavored boba. This actually tasted like a dessert drink to me, but it was still refreshing. It was not overly sweet, but I'd probably request even less sweetener next time. The jasmine silk boba has a fun, softer than Jello kind of texture. The staff seem friendly, though there isn't much interaction with them if you use their kiosk to place your order. The space is clean and has some benches for you to sit and wait for your order, but I don't recall seeing any tables so it's definitely a to-go kinda spot. I recommend and will come back here for boba when visiting the area again.

Lots of boba shops have come and gone from the immediate area, and I miss them quite a bit...! OOO definitely has a certain aesthetic, AND a pretty high quality bar. I don't think I've ever waited for tea to brew quite like I did when I was here - it's certainly a shock to the system to wait for a boba drink for 15+ minutes, given how fast they're usually available! - but it's delicious, and worth the wait. There's an extra element of care involved that really helps the drinks shine. Besides that, the staff was all super nice and appreciative of folks' patience, so that was a welcome element of the wait. I'll definitely be back to try a bunch of different drinks!

They made the drinks but kept them behind the counter without calling the order aloud... finally went to check and found them there - so approach and ask for your drinks. FYI - they have a rewards program, join earn points, and get a birthday drink (discount) too! It was clean inside when I went by at 8 PM, not super busy, decent amount of seating/tables. There are a bunch of board games as well so seem like a nice place to drink boba and hang out. I got the creamy jasmine -- it's essentially a jasmine milk tea. The tea flavor is okay, nothing super crazy but nice and floral. Boba has pretty good texture -- not super mushy/overly soft, decent qq.

Also, sometimes in the afternoon, the milk teas aren't available (when it's too late to brew more tea). The matcha here is creamy and earthy yet sweet. Most other matcha places in West LA have watery matcha, so I'm glad the matcha here is better. They use lactose-free milk by default. The shop is small and there is no seating inside. There are just two large tables outside, so you'll likely need to sit around strangers. Service is good, but a bit slow because of how small the store is. Keep an eye out for good deals!! Every time I visit, I always make sure to visit once, if not twice. Super affordable boba, cute cafe with lots of cute merch, AND they have food and snacks. How can you beat that? When we were in the area looking for boba, I saw that there was a Ume Tea nearby (there's only 2 in SoCal), so my friend and I decided to stop by after our visit to the Milpitas location. There's a decent amount of parking in the plaza, but it can get quite busy given the area and the amount of businesses, but you can always do street parking and walk over. It was quite busy for a Sunday afternoon as there were lots of pick up orders and others ordering form the kiosks (they have 3 if you count the tablet on the counter) and waiting for their orders. It's a narrower location with no public restrooms (at least if there was, it'd be behind the employees only door, but I didn't ask). There's some merch on the wall, but not much of it sadly and 1 small statue for photo ops. There's seating, but since the shop is narrow, they're more like benches with small tables. Here is where, I think my bias comes out a bit, the merch here was some left over collaboration merch and some bags and cups I think, but NorCal had several different kinds of plushies, a perfume block, other air fresheners, stickers, plushies, etc. They NorCal locations also had way more for their food/snack menu like fried baby octopus (my favorite), bento boxes and much more (also in terms of how many different types of drinks that they have). It might be because NorCal is the California originator or because each franchise owner has different choices in what they have, but it wasn't as mind blowing. I get it though with raising costs and the limitations of space that they have. I got a passionfruit mango green tea with lychee jelly, 50% sweet (I'd go lower next time since it was pretty sweet) and less ice. Pretty refreshing for a hot summer day. Friend got a purple sticky rice milk tea, 70% sweet. Not bad, and didn't skimp out on the purple rice. Flavor is middle level milk tea. Not bad, hits the spot if you need it, but not mind blowing. I don't think I'll go out of my way to go to this location again, but I might try the other one. My friend and I were having a conversation about this, but maybe Ume Tea didn't enter the 626 BOBA WARS as with how limited they are compared to NorCal, the competition would be much too fierce, but it's so obvious how much the community and locals love them here.
