We made reservations for our anniversary specifically to experience the cheese wheel pasta experience. The chef that came tableside was pleasant to interact with and put on a show for us. The pastas we selected were cooked ahead of time in the back and poured into the cheese wheel pasta at the table so they were lukewarm by time they were served to us. The service was great, that's why I'm giving it two stars. This place is a complete ripoff. We ordered a calamari flight (about $20). The calamari itself tasted stale and like rubber. They didn't even bother to coat the calamari and the sauces. They just dumped a spoonful of each sauce in the middle of each ramekin. I kid you not each flight was tiny and came in a ramekin. All sauces were cold. Then we ordered a $60 dinner that allows you to pick three things from the selected men. I'm not joking they brought out a ramekin with each of the things I've ordered. 4 oz of steak for $19. A ramekin of a garden salad. And a ramekin of mac and cheese. There are so many great restaurants on the hill, there's no way this place is going to last. People were lovely but the food tasted bad. Had heard a lot about this restaurant concept and wanted to try it. Our party of ten had waited two months for a reservation. The place is small and had two large parties. The food was slow. One plate came out and I sent it back to wait for the rest of the food. When the food came out, many things were missing. People finished with their entrees before their sides or salads came out. I had ordered two appetizer flights (fries and egg rolls) which came out with the entrees. One of our party ordered the seafood flight and had chosen king crab legs. When the bill come the total for that one entree was over $160. Please note all the entrees were not cheap. The concept is great but the price and service does not match it. Food quality was not there when it came to the steak and lamb chops. Managers and proclaimed owners seemed very young and inexperienced and sometimes rude. Total bill was almost $800. What a gem of a find in RI! Our group had the entire cute back room to ourselves. It was so cute and decorated for Xmas at the time. Love the concept of this place, appetizers, food and drinks all come in flights, like Mac and cheese flight, bruschetta, sliders, shrimp, you name it! I didnt realize there were multiple locations and apparently made my reservation for a different location but luckily they were able to accommodate us. The bartender/waitress was very attentive. I didnt realize till we were already on the way if you want to try the cheese wheel flight you need a specific reservation which I will definitely make next time. The truffle mac&cheese was delicious the buffalo mac was like a shredded chicken on top but was delicious when mixed it. The baked mac i wouldnt do again because it was obviously not backed in this plate it was more like a breadcrumb topping just added after the fact making it pretty dry. The flights tho small are super filling. Definitely will be back for a girls nigbt so we can try a little of everything. A few friends and I decided to try here for lunch. What a great choice it was ! Our serve Megan was so friendly and helpful with the menu, and another chef/cook Al came out to do the cheese wheel for our pasta flight - he was phenomenal! The Mac and cheese flight and the French fry flight were split between the 3 of us and they were all delicious. The ambiance was nice- beautiful interior. We arrived early and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the kind of vibe that fits a special night out. There was only one bartender handling the entire restaurant, and that showed. Drinks and food took longer than expected. She was working really hard but could have used some help to keep things moving. Every dish we ordered was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We started with the margarita flight and the calamari flight. Both were excellent and a fun way to kick off the evening. For dinner we ordered the seafood flight and the pasta flight. Although a great concept (restaurant with bunch of flights), the execution is poor - especially for the price. Other reviews talk about the service and they were right! The service was very slow, it took about 45 minutes or more for our food to come out (basically a bunch of pasta and a salad). I got the vegan flight which was a big mistake since you are paying $18 for a slider the size of your palm or smaller, a deconstructed salad basically (the "lettuce wrap"), and 11 fries (not kidding!). This was a complete waste of money in my opinion, especially when there are better restaurants in the area. The food was warm at best (for both my meal and others which was mainly pasta dishes). I ended up eating all of it since I was waiting so long and was very hungry but was still hungry after eating this kids meal sized portion. Others in my party ordered pasta which was not cooked to order considering the temperature when it came out and the sauces weren't anything special. Maybe even bottled/pre made? They ordered chicken which they said was rubbery. The waitress was nice as she noticed a member of my party didn't eat any of the chicken and rice soup and they took it off our bill. The chicken and rice soup seemed like a bag of rice dumped in a bowl of broth with a few pieces of chicken. My only complaint would be that despite asking our waitress numerous times to refill our waters it never happened.
