Service was eh. Started off fine but then server maybe came by once? When it was time for our check, we had to finally flag her down as she passed by a lot of times with us clearly done and ready but didn't bother to check in. She looked to be the only server working but even then it wasn't that busy to really excuse this lack of service. Pricing is too much for the quality. The sm valley veggie pizza was bland. Ingredients I would be surprised if they were fresh and there was just a lack of flavor. If you want a good pizza go to Bella forno, heck blaze pizza is better and half the price. The calamari was cooked well but bland. Tartar sauce was likely store bought and just over all a mediocre dish. The charred lemon was ice cold, which I found funny. The Brussel sprouts were cooked well, to me they were bland without the sauce but my wife enjoyed them. The beer wall is cool. The pricing actually turned out pretty on par with ordering a standard beer. The options are heavy on the IPA side and would have loved to have seen some more variety. There are also some wines which was nice. Overall the food is pedestrian and I think there are better and cheaper options in town. If you want a sports bar then BWW I think is a better choice. Will not be coming back. Side note- the menus were really worn and dirty, there isn't a folder for the check you just get the receipt on a plate. read more

I really wanted to like this place but it didn't measure up. First impression bleak. Walked in and host tried to seat us at the absolute worst table in the house although there were several open tables. We refused it, and watched the host try to sit my every single couple who entered at this awful table...it literally sat in the middle of an open doorway with a significant amount of traffic. Who wants to eat with butts in your face the entire time...? Then the menu. It was sticky...and the table was sticky. Just gross. Also, the menu was very large, which is usually a red flag for me. On the upside their list of liquor is ridiculously long on the menu...however they didn't "have the ingredients" to make a Cadillac Margarita. Conclusion- odd. The order. We ordered a few margaritas, the loaded tots, an the tritip and chicken tacos. The margaritas were so strong we asked for a cup of mix to add to them (this may be a perk for those who want a strong drink). The tots were boring, and a tacos were served with disgusting lime wedges they looked several days old...and the tacos were bland and not exciting at all. WARNING - for those will allergies. They have errors on the menu. The fish tacos are not gluten free but are marked gluten free in the menu. They were very unconcerned about the error...although something like this would make me sick for weeks. Conclusion. When I walked in, the atmosphere had such a good vibe. The brookie I ordered was flavorful and amazing! The fries, however, were a bit on the colder side, as if they had been sitting out for a while. We were running errands where we happened to be in Orcutt, which we thought was the perfect time to visit "Blast 825 Brewery". 2 STARS: My lunch companion ordered the Tri-Tip Sandwich on Sourdough. The sandwich was chokingly dry ... which must have been a kitchen error by serving Cattle Drive JERKY. This was more of a French Dip without the sauce. No condiments. 3 STARS: I ordered the Jalapeño & Pepper Jack Cheese Burger, medium well; if it would have cooked for one more minute, it would have been ideal. Lettuce and tomatoes would have been appreciated, which is typically automatic with a burger. The hint of smoke was favorable. While the burger was delicious, I've enjoyed better burgers at half the price ... so keep in mind, you aren't just paying for the burger, you are also paying for the restaurant vibe. 3 STARS: Cadillac Margarita. 2 STARS: Virgin Margarita, paying the full price of a real cocktail, it should have at least been a large glass instead of a half pint. 1 STAR: Both meals came with french fries ... I felt they were MINIMALISTIC FRIES (ultra skinny) served cold (sitting too long). We came for lunch yesterday. Three of us ordered the Local Burger, which promised "thick sliced bacon". All three burgers had a scant amount of bacon bits! This place is a must check out, especially if you are having an outing with your family. The environment is very fun and energetic! There is plenty of seating inside and out--the patio is the place to be if you have little ones as there's much room for them to wiggle around in their seats as well as a bar for the adults + many TV to watch sports! I have the lobster Mac which was out of this world! Popcorn size lobster in the most creamy macaroni sauce! they have plenty of options including flatbread pizzas, wings, tri tip sandwiches which is definitely a favorite as well. It's 10/29/25 approximately 3:45 ish and my husband and myself wanted to get a early dinner. We have heard from our local 825 in Pismo Beach where we reside that Orcutt had some different menu options but I didn't recognize any different items so I chose my favorite ( bone in chicken wings) and a few apitizers.The food was good the service from the waitress was beyond horrible.We got seated and omg I can tell by the look on her face it's was going to be HORRIBLE service!!! Sure enough she basically took our order and brought everything an she was gone.I got up and got our own to go containers.Packed up our stuff and paid an she brought the to go order my husband got and never said a word.No have a good evening ...no eye contact...no half azz smile...and we even tipped YOU and for sure did not earn that tip PERIOD...Hope the owner and DM reads this but I may be contacting you to let you no you might want to replace her. My husband and I came in for what we knew would be a busy night. (Rush was dying down at this point) We waited 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated we waited another 20 minutes and no one had came to check on us to take our drink order at least. Another group of four was sat down near us and within 5 minutes a waiter was at their table taking an order.... WE GOT UP AND LEFT! It's understandable when it's busy, but serving another bigger group before us after waiting 25 minutes with no acknowledgement is plain rude and unacceptable. This evening my family and I went with parents. Father had the Ortega burger which he said was good but not a repeat. Son his pizza which he devoured (he's a bottomless pit ). Didn't try the beer but everyone in our party (family) of 5 enjoyed the food and the service. Including the 5 year old. Servers very friendly and accommodating. We were there at 4:00 pm on a Tuesday and it was not crowded but by the time we left it had definitely gotten busy. The patio area was nice and we had a bit of shade for our table. Place was packed and the wait was an hour. Given that it was a nice evening and a Friday it was expected. The hostess was nice and the server was nice but didn't know the menu all that well. She might have been new but I'd still expect her to know the menu better. She was also slammed so she kept forgetting orders or sides. The food was okay, nothing to rave about or standout. We ordered 2 margarita flights, 2 pretzels, the brussels, bacon wrapped shrimp, 1 Hawaiian pizza, one cowboy pizza, a Buffalo sandwich, chicken strips, lobster mac, steak salad, and tri-tip tacos with other drinks. Again, nothing that shouted wow. The tacos were dry and needed some flavor. Will try it again to see if it is worth. I was honestly shocked at how good their Thai chicken pizza is! I'm a big-time foodie, and usually drive far from Orcutt or Santa Maria to get food that I really enjoy, but there's a few exceptions in town that I enjoy. Every time I've come to Blast 825 I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, the service, the ambience, and just overall experience. I have a three month old and a two year old, and this is also a very comfortable establishment for families. They have spacious tables, plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and a good amount of stuff on the kids menu.
