The best "bar food" I've had in a long time! We ended up stopping here on the way up north, AND on the way back! Both times my friend ordered the mac & cheese bowl that had BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw, and topped with onion shoestrings. We tried a salad, a pizza with all the veggies, and added sausage. I love the atmosphere! It was fun, lively, and the server was helpful. She gave us recommendations since it was our first time. The tri-tip dip was amazing! Super tender and not fatty. I definitely recommend it. The same is true for the cowboy Mac n cheese. Which is big enough to share and very cheesy. The burger is nothing special and I feel the same is true for the nachos. One of the best things about this place is their beer card. You can go up and sample many beers by just swiping the card and you only get charged for how many ounces you drink. Overall 4 star establishment. However this round was quite underwhelming. We started with the dough boy pretzel. It was pretty average, the cheese sauce was definitely better than the mustard. The mustard isn't a typical mustard, it's more mustard seeds in some kind of oil? I got the fire grilled chicken bowl with the peanut sauce, which left much to be desired. Would not order again. The chicken was pretty dry, the veggies were decent, but the rice was probably the worst part of the dish. It was very grainy and didn't taste much like regular rice. My husband got the Cajun shrimp bowl and his sentiments were much the same. Rice was also grainy and "unappetizing", corn was basic, and shrimp also left much to be desired. He got the sweet chili sauce which was also unimpressive. We have eaten here and have had much better food. I think sometimes when regular food establishments try to make "healthier" dishes, it ends up being outside of their wheelhouse and not very good. We've had their wings, while pricy, are very good. Blast looks like a fun place to eat and drink. I did like the pour your own drink. I wasn't sure I'd like the pineapple cider so I poured half a glass to try and only paid for half a glass. Pretty cool idea. Once you finish your drink, you can go pour yourself another. My husband got the house IPA which was nice and smooth. The cloudy appearance and color threw us off a bit for being an IPA but we liked the beer nonetheless. The food on the menu all sounded great and I was super hungry. I ordered a burger, my husband the French dip. The burger had no flavor, the fries were awful (no seasoning, not even a bit of salt). I ate maybe three and brought the rest home. The onion rings were good but very greasy. Both of us came home with half our meals. Remember I said I was hungry? I'm not sure why the pretzels are deep fried, they soak up all the fryer oil and they are disgusting! Also they add way to much salt without asking, had to get new ones with no salt because they were inedible. Look at all this grease, and deep fryer grease is dirty and nasty. We made a reservation and were seated at a big table with QR code menus and also physical copies. And kids menus! We ordered drinks and got them super quick. What's cool is that they have a non-alcoholic mock-tail section! For someone who was on a road trip but wanted to have a specialty drink on a lunch break, this was a nice touch. Food: Sweet Chili Garlic Crispers tender appetizers - pretty good! I am used to eating sweet chili chicken from Asian restaurants but this was pretty good flavor. They are long pieces of chicken!!! Very interesting but tender and easy to cut. Fish & chips - very good! 3 pieces of fish and great fries. A must try. Oak Grilled Chicken Club sandwich - also verygood!! I also ordered 3 kids meals and was CHARGED for the drinks when it says on the menu, "Drink included." Mind you, I was also charged $1 for a pickle, $1 for a slice of tomato, and $1 for a piece of lettuce on my kids' burgers. Whatever, I didn't know that was an extra charge but I will pay for it. What I had a problem with was being charged for the salad I did not eat and for the drinks that said were included in the kids meal. After finally getting ahold of our waitress and her having to wait on a manager to remove the charges, I still got charged for the items. He should only be taking two tops. I've been a server for over 30 years and even if I wasn't a server, you would definitely know something was wrong. We ordered a flight and pints of blonde, Mexican lager, and amber beers to taste their variety of brews. The hubby and I split chicken wings and BCA burger, and our friends had salad, tri trip sandwich and pizza. The wings are served with waffle fries, they were perfectly cooked and the sauce was spicy. Once we walked in, we were warmly greeted by hostess. She was very welcoming and had a smile. The inside is gorgeous, very spacious and bar area is huge. We were a party of 6 and AMAYA was our server. AMAYA was outstanding. We informed her it was our first visit and she took the time to give us recommendations. Not sure what the 825 stands for but I did have a blast. Yeah, I know corny central! Was here last Sunday to enjoy some 49er with some friends and we of course sat outside! We enjoyed a wonderful win and cheered as we watched with other 49er fans. They had a few tv's outside and they were playing all the other games too. They sat us all accordingly which was great, we got to meet new local and not so local 49er fans and (cough-cough) the rest of them. Jake was our server, and he was incredible!!! He was patient, moved fast and was such a crowd pleaser. Even though he was moving a mile a minute, he was polite and smiled and we never ran dry!! So, thank you Jake for being you and handling this hungry, thirsty crowd they way you did. We appreciate you! I will also have to acknowledge the rest of the wait staff/hostess were also very nice I hadn't been to this location since it was Rooney's and that was a while back so needed a refresher on the open beer taps. I've been to many breweries on the central coast, some were notable others not so much. I'm mostly writing this review to acknowledge our incredible service, our waitress was very present and all smiles throughout our entire meal. She was kind enough to make conversation with my wife who's 5 months pregnant, and made sure we had what we needed at all times. Happy wife happy life. We loved seeing all the kids running around collecting eggs for the egg hunt, and the snippet of live music we were able to hear. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at Blast, when we arrived it was a 15 minute wait (which is normal) we were seated at exactly 15 minutes, however our server did not come to the table for 35 minutes ! Finally we ordered our drinks and then they sat at the bar for 10 minutes (we could see the drinks from our seats by the bar)!!' I use to be a waitress and I understand that sometimes restaurants are short staffed, however it was a Monday night and not packed at all... I come from a restaurant that If drinks are at the bar for more than a couple of minutes the bartender should walk the drinks over, which he they could have done, there were 7 people sitting at the bar . As for the food: it was eeeh!
