I ordered a pepperoni mushroom and olive pizza through door dash delivery , it arrived with no pepperoni. Door dash was unwilling to fix the issue, so I called blaze directly. There only option was I bring in the receipt and they make me a new one. If I wanted to visit the store I would have done that in the first place. That negates the reason to order through door dash. When I asked the manager (Santiago) for their corporate number he said I can find it on the website. Their customer service is lacking. I do not recommend this location. read more

Pizza fast and fresh with a price that will bring you back, what gives? I have been the Blaze fire'd pizza in Slo and really like the idea of quick pizza made to order and cooked quickly in front of you. When you enter the line you get to chose your pie and toppings. The Slo one did a much better job at explaining the choices and options and I think for being so new here in Arroyo Grande they might want to slow it down a bit and share the process and options better. The people putting together the pizza did a good job of asking if that step was completed to satisfaction (ie. Enough tomato sauce, etc). This gave me a chance to say yes or can you add a little more, etc. Very rarely do restaurants ask for people opinion nowadays (on anything). Could be a big trend, no? There seemed to be a slight change and feel between the friendly and welcoming feel from the pizza crafters and the cashier. Not that she was rude but whole different feel. Lost the good vibe momentum. The pizzas themselves came out nice and they seem to heave their cooking technique down. I like also the varied options for drinks and a few other options for appetizers and salads. Overall a good feel and the price is great considering a really good pizza. If they can continue this and get that overall good vibe and customer service consistency down they may have a hit on their hands. Will be interesting to see how our local pizza places step up their game. We have some amazing pizza places here in town but service can always be a factor (sense a trend here). And if a restaurant has much higher prices the service should match. Ok. Enough of that. Let's go eat some pizza. read more

Visited Blaze Pizza today was the second day open at this location. They have a deal they're giving pizzas away for free fro most of the day.. so check them out. I chose the build your own with high rise crust $2 up charge for extra dough. I'm glad I ordered the extra dough today because they are so busy with these free pizza the two men running the fire were feeling the pressure, as they needed to re-fire 2 pie while I was there. The oven was packed of pizza and knots. It was glorious !! I chose different toppings than usual and I loved the pie I built it was delicious. I will try to share a clip of what you get when you choose the high rise crust. I think it's just 2 doughs presses together, because the bottom and top were the parts toasted the middle is just like soft baked bread. You'll see what I mean.. if I can't post a clip I'll share a photo. It's still taste really good it just confusing that it didn't bake together. Maybe you could flip it and make a pizza sandwich. ha ha ha They have fresh made drinks and some fountain drinks I think I seen natural root beer, orange soda, cola, a couple others. Never have I ever heard of a pizza place refusing to put a topping on AFTER being in the oven. My husband wanted fresh tomatoes put on AFTER cooking; not before. Let's face it, sometimes a warm mushy tomato is not appetizing. These people acted like we were requesting something outrageous. I was dumbfounded that she was refusing to grant his request. How difficult can it be? She reluctantly agreed to do it for him "just this one time." We were not asking for a kidney or her 1st born. The funny part; since this place has been open here, AND in Santa Maria, he has ALWAYS asked for this and not one employee has ever hinted at it being an inconvenience or against the Blaze Pizza laws. They gladly do it; with a smile on their face. Possibly knowing that their job is to make the pizza that the customer wants; not follow some odd procedure that I'm sure the managers would shake their head in embarrassment because an employee could not figure out common sense and customer service. Ridiculous! They no longer offer a "build your own" pizza, in that, you cannot choose the "amount/quantity" of toppings. Usually, workers would just give you attitude when asking for more of a given topping, but today, they just said NO, and that management requires workers to limit the toppings. So, it is no longer a "build your own" but rather a "you get what we give you" pizza. A real bummer, Blaze used to be a good place to eat. Headed back to Klondikes. I was patiently waiting and understand with 3 people and a line and online orders it is too much for the staff. But where I draw the line is if you get a BYO you can pick and choose your toppings, well as I was asking for more toppings because they put little to none on the pizzas. Then the oven guy I'm assuming is Santiago cause he was doing the register too. He came over to the line guy and said something which then proceeded for him to put even less toppings on and so I kept asking for more. Then to top the pizza off I was asking for goat cheese on top to give it flavor and the oven guy was trying to put my second pizza in the oven and I kept repeating politely can I get goat cheese so he grabbed very little and put it on there and I asked for more please and he then "claimed" it's 2 dollar charge for extra cheese. So I told them I didn't mind because I want the cheese and extra toppings regardless of the price. As he was ringing me up he acted like he could charge me an extra 2 dollars per pizza but didn't know how. If this is how the store is ran now I'm sorry but I will go to either SLO or sm store because they acted like I was wasting their time which is unfortunate tbh. We have eaten at the Blaze's other locations in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria. We are so happy to get our own Blaze in Arroyo Grande. The Blaze Pizza is now our favorite pizza. We love the Build Your Own for $8.25. The Blaze is kind of like a Subway or Jersey Mike's. You follow your pizza down the line and add all the sauces, cheeses and veggies you want. If they don't add something as heavy as you want just request they put some more on for you. We just love this place and there flame fired pizza's. So yummy. If you pill it kind of high just ask them to give it a little more than the 60 seconds it normally takes them to cook. They only make one size pizza with thin crust which we love but for $2 you can get a thicker crust. You can also get a vegan crust as well. Very friendly staff and being new super clean with both indoor and outside eating. read more

There is alot of greasy doughboy kind of pizzas around here and they are mostly awful. Here it has every kind of crust, every kind of topping fired (not with wood) and you get to pick everything to your specific tastes-even quantity. All fresh and very tasty. Parking is plentiful and I just don't understand why it isn't crowded. Perhaps I am in the minority of not wanting cheese in my soggy greasy crust. I highly recommend this place. SLOW!!! I've been in line for over 30 minutes and still haven't ordered. This is VERY slow. The workers look like half awake sloths. The line is to the door and many people have left after waiting 10 minutes in line. This is my third time here, and maybe my last because each time it is extremely slow. The oven is often empty even though we are waiting. I don't know if they are short on employees or not. 3 strikes, even with good pizza, you are out. I ordered sausage, olives and pineapple. (Don't judge me). Toppings were very stingy. Four little balls of sausage and a smattering of cheese. Light on the pineapple as well. Make sure to get your gluten free crust done extra well -- They brought some of the Santa Maria crew to get it up and running and they did an exceptional job.
