Nothing like the Blaze pizza in Disney Springs which is amazing! This location fell way short. We drove a good 45 minutes to get there since it's the closest location to Miami. Ordered two pizzas from their menu. Both were overdone. Not even sure that my pizza was actually the one I ordered since it didn't have my name on the bottom wrapper. The manager basically asked if it looked like mine and seemed annoyed when I said I wasn't sure. It didn't look right but I didn't really want to wait to have them make another one so I had it. I shouldn't have though since it was overdone and dry. Super disappointed after driving so far and really looking forward to great pizza. Won't be returning to this location. For this being my first experience at Blaze Pizza it was a great one. The concept is build your own pizza. It's like chipotle but for pizza basically. The assembly line gives you options to choose your own toppings, crust, and even drizzle at the end. There is so many ingredients you can mix together you can go many times and have a new flavor each time. A standard pizza serves 2 unless your really hungry and each costs about $8 depending on what you get. They also serve pre-made salads if your in the mood and have some desserts. They have a soda fountain if your thirsty, small wine bottles, and some bottled drinks. The place is clean and the staff is nice. A lot of people working when we went. We were served quickly since the pizza comes out in 3 minutes once in the oven. read more

I am only giving this 2 stars because the order was not entirely bad. The toppings were tasty. But the crust was not cooked at all. It was burnt on the edges, but still so soft and soggy that you couldn't even pick it up to eat it without everything falling off. I've eaten at the Blaze in NJ many times and was always happy. Blaze Pizza never disappoints. I've patronized the Blaze Pizza in Plantation, Fl multiple times and each times is just as tasty as the previous visit. I am not only impressed with the quality of these hand made pizzas but with the personnel staffing this location. Everyone who I've been in contact with is always smiling, friendly and efficient. The training and hiring here is fantastic and it shows in the people. The pizzas are extremely addicting here. Don't be surprised if you find a line that goes out the door but don't be discouraged. The assembly line process they use in assembling these pizzas ensure that you get your pizza faster than any other pizza place I've ever been to. Select a pizza from the menu or build your own, I tend to favor the Red Vine which has large dollops of mozarella, a sweetish red sauce, basil, cherry tomatoes, a pinch of sea salt and oregano and a drizzle of olive oil. Any pizza place in South Florida that you can make your own pizza and use a white Alfredo sauce instead of the traditional red tomato sauce can't be all that bad. Even better when you get to put your own fresh ingredients on top of it and have them bake it to your own selection right in front of you. Beats the traditional Domino's or Caesars so my suggestion is try Blaze. This one is on University right across from the Tower Shops and it is well worth your travels. Every time I come here the bathrooms are so disgusting I have to hold my breath while I wash my hands. But today, today it was so vile and disgusting I am too grossed out to eat here!! Came in during a Saturday night with a party of 15, the place was packed. I ordered multiple pizzas for the lot of us and the staff were outstanding and efficient. Pros: delicious pizza, highly customizable, and great prices. Any and as many toppings as you want for ~ $8 Cons: the lines here can be extremely long. Like wrapped all the way through the store or out the door into the street. And they do not do a good job of moving it quickly - they can be very slow and do not look like they are in any hurry. Also I have encountered attitude from several of the employees at this location. Not all but far too often. And when you are going through the line, they ask you "anything else" after every single topping. This may not seem like such a big deal but when you're getting multiple toppings it gets very annoying. It would be understandable if there was a pause, but they cut you off by saying that before you can even get your next thing out of your mouth on your own. Another thing that is quite annoying is I have been asked literally five times if my food is for here or to go by different employees along the line, when it is already written on my order. It is always at least 2 or 3 times. Again, better safe than sorry but they could make things a lot smoother if they just read the order or communicated better. Also it's often dirty in the seating area and the condiments (Parmesan for your pizza anyone??) are hardly ever available. Overall the pizza is great, especially for the price. But you really have to be ready to wait a while most of the time and hope you get somebody in a decent mood. If I see the line is even to the door I won't even bother. My husband and I ate thee a few months ago but I haven't had the chance to review. When we arrived we were impressed by the amount of people at the restaurant. We ordered our custom pizzas and the ingredients looked amazingly fresh. They were constantly being refilled. We found a table sat and waited for our order. It was delicious!!! But that is where it ends...my husband and I both ordered different toppings for our pizzas and we both ended up with food poisoning!! He was so bad that he had to go to the ER! What could be better? Depending on the time of day you come, you could end up waiting up to 25 minutes just to get to the counter if the line is out the door, but it's a place that's well worth the wait! Other than them running out of mushrooms on one occasion, I would be giving them 5 stars. Mushrooms are just a MUST HAVE for me on my pizza, so that really irked me, but this little place has honestly changed my mind on what I have always believed made a 'good pizza'. The crust your pie sits on is so important, and before I tried Blaze Pizza, I never liked any thin crust pie. Theirs though, is the perfect base and compliments the pies they serve up perfectly. You can even get a thicker crust if you wish, which I have never tried because I have been so impressed with their original thin crust. They also offer gluten free options for those who need. You can choose between a basic pie with sauce & cheese, a 1 or 2 topping pie, any number of their specialty pies or a Build Your Own with as many toppings as you like. There are 2 different red sauces, one of them spicy, a white sauce and even a pesto you can opt to coat your crust in-which I because it adds even more flavor! Once your pie is assembled it's placed inside a coal fired oven and in about 5-6 minutes it's ready to eat. I love the concept of Blaze! As everyone else has mentioned, it's a Chipotle/Subway/Moe's style assembly line but for pizza! It's probably not the best pizza I've ever had, but it tastes great, it's fast, and it's customizable! Mark A. & I loved that the sizes were personal pizzas. That meant he can have his mushrooms & olives on his, & I don't have to pick those off. The already set pizzas sounded great (which I'll have to try on another visit), but with UNLIMITED TOPPINGS, I had to build my own! That's probably the best thing I love... the bang for your buck. Same reasonable price of $8 for whatever toppings you want. We also tried their s'mores, which you can get warmed up. Decided to go here with my GF as I have heard so many good things about the food and saw that they can meet my dietary restrictions. We went on a Saturday around 630pm. Bad idea. It was VERY crowded and VERY noisy in here. The line couldn't be contained in the store and it was moving like snails in glue. We decided to stick it out. Maybe 15 minutes later, we were finally ordering. My GF got the red on high rise crust and i got a gluten free link in with the non dairy cheese. As we moved down the line, I was noticing that they all seemed a little lost. They had to keep asking me what pizza I got even though it was written on the paper. ***FOOD SAFETY ALERT*** One girl kept wiping her gloved hand on her apron and then would go back to making pizzas (bad training there). We paid for our food and waited at a table in a corner. They called our names and we got the pizzas and shoved our way outside, where it was just as loud because the music was blaring. I looked at my food and was immediately disappointed. They charged me $3 extra for the gluten free crust, but this crap was thinner than a piece of paper. I picked up a slice and managed to get through one slice of it before ALL OF THE TOPPINGS FELL THROUGH THE CRUST BECAUSE IT COULDN'T HOLD THEM! WTF kind of crap is that!??!?! I have eaten at several other pizza places that offer a gluten free crust and it held those toppings so I don't know why they couldn't do a better job on their crust, especially for what they charged. So I went back in and got a fork to try to eat my meal. The flavors were ok, nothing special, but maybe my opinion got skewed because of the crap with the crust. My GF really enjoyed her pizza. Though I have been to the Fort Lauderdale Blaze location quite a few times, this was my first time visiting Davie's Blaze. I have to say that I came here in a pretty horrible mood. I certainly didn't drive all the way to Davie for Blaze pizza (given that their other location is only a couple miles from my house) but our plans for dinner beforehand were ruined by horrible service (I literally sat at a restaurant and didn't eat). I arrived here starving (as it was now past 9pm) and just generally annoyed with everything (I'm really a pretty agreeable person, but hungry is not a mood you want to catch me in). I was really happy to find that Blaze is open until 11pm (at least on Saturday night) as a lot of the businesses in this area seemed to be closing quite a bit earlier. I hopped in line and while in the past I found I get the best results by ordering one of their handful of pre-decided pizzas, I opted to build my own figuring that I have experienced Blaze enough times that I am now a professional (on a side note the first time I ever experiences Blaze I got way too excited and put pretty much every veggie on my pizza and it just kind of ended up being a soggy mess..I've learned). The staff was very friendly asking for my name and referring to me by it along the whole assembly line. I went with their spicy tomato sauce, followed by mozzarella cheese and a bit of ricotta. Then it was veggie time. Keeping in mind my previous errors I went with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and whole roasted garlic bulbs....they probably have at least twenty veggie toppings, so choosing only four does require some restraint, but for the integrity of the crust it's best to keep things a little bit more simple. As my pizza was tossed in the oven I approached the register where I told the cashier that I was going to need some wine. He immediately picked up what I was throwing down, and either we knew each other in a past life, I looked especially stressed, or this guy was the best salesman in the world, because even though I had told myself I was allowed only one drink for the evening, the guy at the counter told me that they only had two mini bottles of red wine left. Apparently their truck comes on Sunday and approaching close on Saturday night a few items, including the wine, were cutting it close. I happily accepted his offer for the second (and last) mini bottle of wine. He had such a great sense of humor and attentiveness while ringing me up that I started to forget the bad experience I had elsewhere earlier in the night. I took my seat and waited for my name to be called. When my pizza was ready and they sliced it up I asked for them to add arugula to the top (okay, so five veggies) as there are a few finishing touches they can offer once it comes out of the oven. Now here is the thing with Blaze pizza: even though their oven cooking process is incredibly fast (I think three minutes?) you will probably not be eating in three minutes. That pizza is seriously hot when you get it, and in my opinion for it to be eaten and enjoyed correctly it needs about ten minutes of cooling time. This allows the crust to set a bit more and allows you to eat it without destroying your mouth (I told you, I'm a professional at this now). Luckily I had my wine to keep me occupied during this time. I had probably finished my first glass of wine and then dug into the pizza. I have to say that I make a great pizza...and to Blaze's credit I love their spicy sauce. I also discovered that probably the one thing in the world my boyfriend doesn't like is whole roasted garlic bulbs, so by adding this I also kept him from stealing my food as he usually does. Even though it was past ten at this point, the restaurant was still pretty busy. The staff was great about coming around to clear the tables and offer boxes to those who couldn't finish their pizzas (I was not one of those people this time). You wait in a line order what you want pizza is $5.00 for a plain cheese, $5.95 for one topping, or $7.95 for the fun pizzas or you can just create your own with any toppings for $7.95. You go up order and go down a line, when you go to pay your pizza goes in the coal fire oven and is out in about 4 minutes. They guy told us the entire process from when you order is from 8-10 minutes. Totally a cool concept pizza tasted good. It was fun to try, but I am not running back to this place anytime soon. You choose your crust, sauce, meats, cheeses, veggies, and extra fixings and then it's into the oven! An amazing 180 seconds later and voila! Pizzas ready for devouring! But wait! There's some finishing sauces you might be interested in, like the pesto. Get the pesto! I created a masterpiece : regular crust with white base sauce, goat cheese, ricotta, sausage, bacon, mini meatballs, red onions, spinach, zucchini, roasted garlic, and a pesto drizzle when it was toasty and done. All of the ingredients was fresh and tasted of high quality. I created with my eyes, but my body tapped out in defeat after only conquering half the pizza. Lucky for me they have take home boxes, including half size for folks like me. So if your a pizza lover, throw away those magnets on the fridge and hidden menus in the kitchen drawer to pizza hut, papa johns, and where ever else. Get in your car, buckle up, and drive to blaze. I love this place I've been coming here for a while. I just notice the price change it use to be $7.95 base to build your own now it's $8.25. I love the sauce options for the pizzas. I like that the gluten free crust is on a separate cooking tray to avoid cross contaminating as the glove change. However I think they should use different sauces from a different container instead of the same one they use for every one else. Also there is a $2.00 up charge for gluten free crust. Bring the Chipolte / Subway Assembly line concept where you combined fresh ingredients on top of pizza dough, flash fire blaze it and produce in 3 minutes a personal pizza for a great value. Well they got 90% of it correct as everything they do is done correctly. Order - move to next spot where sauces are selected - then toppings, - more toppings then delivery in 180 seconds. At this point everything is in order except ... THE PIZZA if you can call it that is absolutely HORRIBLE. First off in 180 seconds there is no way to truly get the ingredients to bake and adhere to the crust. The toppings for the most part even when ordered well done are not cooked enough. Secondly the Crust is horrible. Any frozen pizza from the grocery store has better crust and the short term cooking as previously stated does not allow for anything to gel. Pick up the pizza and you get all the toppings simply sliding off it. ... The actual pizza traditional red sauce is not very good in flavor as well. In short I am sorry to be the one to burst the bubble as everything they have done concept wise is really quite good, but it is about the taste of the Pizza isn't it. First time to Blaze and I enjoyed it! Let me first say I was raised on NYC Pizza, this us not NYC Pizza, but it's good. The place was packed on a Monday afternoon but the line moved fairly quickly. It would even move faster if the customers knew prior to reaching the counter what they wanted on their pizza. There is plenty of time to think about what toppings you want as you wait in line. That aside I upgraded to the thick crust (2 bucks more) I am not a fan of thin crust pizza. I added the hot red sauce and a few cheeses and almost every meat selection from meatballs to sausage. Topped it off with a few veggies and garlic and to the oven it went. It cooks fast 3 to 5 minutes and that is not enough to get all those ingredientes to stick to the crust. Yet the final product while a little moist was flavorful and a meat lovers dream pizza. For 12 bucks including a fountain beverage it's a bargain. The pizzas are your 12 inch size enough for two or one darn hungry person. It may not be the best pizza in town but it sure tasted good and had enough ingredients that your typical pizza joint would nickel and dime you for! I did not feel rushed even though the line behind me was long( I am sure they appreciated that I knew beforehand what I wanted on my pie).Staff worked hard and I even chatted with the young man who bakes the pies. The layout of the restaurant needs a redo as the beverage location is not ideal. They do need one person to clear tables and keep them clean. I did not check out the rest rooms as some have complained they are dirty. I heard about Blaze from a friend who visited the fort Lauderdale location, I was waiting patiently for the doors to open. I came by around the second week of opening, very busy crowd at lunch time. My brother ordered a custom pie and I went with one of their signature pie's the "meat eater" ... like the other reviews say, this is a chipotle/subway style of ordering--- you can customize your pizza however you like. It's great. The personal pizza takes less than 5 minutes to cook and they call you when ready. A must read. The pizza is always great but the customer service is not. I went there last night 02/23/19 to get dinner and the line wrapped around the whole inside of the restaurant which is not my complaint because their food is really good. The line kept moving and I get to the front and order my Build Your Own Pizza (so I know what it looks like). I pay and now I'm waiting for my pizza to come out and this is where my complaint starts. After waiting in line for 30-40mins my pizza is finally ready and I'm waiting for her to call my name....well the worker didn't because there was some number mixup. Instead she asked a girl that was in line way behind me if that was hers. I immediately step in and said "that's my pizza" well the worker replies "but she said she made this pizza" I laugh and said "no, I know what I made and that's my pizza". Well to cut the story kinda short, the worker continues to hand MY pizza to her coworker to ask what else the other customer wanted on the pizza. The customer left and took the wrong pizza. By the way! How the heck do you forget what your own pizza looks like? Hers had a lot of greens on it and mine didn't have anything green on it! Anyway, she took my pizza and left. Then I stood there waiting for my pizza which was "still in the oven" because you know "that wasn't my pizza" that the girl walked off with. So, when the worker finally realized I'm still standing there mad as hell she asks for my name which I in return I said "***, but you gave my pizza to some other girl" she replies with an attitude "I gave your pizza away?!" I said "yes, you did! I told you that was my pizza and you ignored me". Anyway.....I had to make my pizza all over again and do some more waiting because some worker didn't take her time to really figure out who's pizza it was. And I know the place was busy but if the numbers got mixed up I think you should be more careful and listen to what your customers have to say. She listened but only to one side of the situation. In the end I got home and the pizza was amazing (not sure if it was from the hunger of waiting for about an hour). This review is based on the employees and not the food. I went into the restaurant and was a little surprised when I came through the doors. It was setup like a subway line. You can order pizza that was already composed or you can make your own. The restaurant was clean even with all the people that was in there at the time which is what I look for when I go into a restaurant. The variety of cheeses was awesome especially if you like cheese like I do. I made my own pizza and but every meat they had due to that I'm a carnivore of the highest order. I was taken aback when the pizza came out promptly. The pizza was cooked the right account and loved the lightly burnt crust edge. It was not burnt so they have the amount to cook the pizza down to a tee. You can get like a meal deal if you want, I just got a drink. They make lemonade which tasted delicious. Coworkers recommended I order a personal pizza from here... and I'm glad I did! I'm a picky eater, so I chose a 1-top pizza. They have a great little set up to make personalize your own decent sized pizza. While it's located in a somewhat difficult plaza to get in and out of on such a busy road, this place is worth the drive. Customer service was amazing from the moment I was greeted to the person who pulled the pizza out of the oven and boxed it up for me. I will definitely be returning. read more

They took Chipotle, and said, "hey, let's do what Chipotle's doing, but with better food." And then they did it, and it was glorious. Everybody who works there seems to love being there. Super cool staff. The food was excellent, and they had such a wide array of toppings to choose from, there's just no way the pizza was going to be bad. Honestly, my pizza was a little burnt, and it STILL tasted like perfection. The place was clean, the service was quick, the staff is awesome. I'll be a regular. read more
