There are 2 things tho that almost made me give a 4 star review: I went maybe 45 min after opening and they were already out of kalamata olives? Weird Also majority of the workers there didn't look like they were happy to be there and were kind of slow, probably waited 5 min until someone served me. Y'all make sure to check your food right there because they don't answer phones and there is absolutely no way to reach them. I tried, and refreshed my feed on blazepizza.com/help to make a complaint and as soon as you check off everything that was wrong it just takes you back to the first page. I have found my new pizza spot. This place is awesome! For less than 40 dollars, I fed my entire family of 6 to include drinks. This is with a military discount of 15% The service was awesome. Finally got around to trying this place out! I was lucky enough to show up a few minutes before the place started forming a bit of a hefty line. I went ahead and made my own customized pizza. There were many options for toppings/sauces/cheeses and fresh ingredients. My pizza was ready after 5-10 minutes. The prices are fairly reasonable -- around $8 for a customized personal pizza and $2.25 for unlimited fountain drinks. I had a blast trying their different agua frescas, the strawberry one was my favorite! One thing I didn't like was that there's a really big trash can in the parking lot that stinks so bad that my boyfriend nearly lost his appetite after being welcomed by the horrible potent aroma while getting out of the car and walking to the restaurant. I feel bad for the people at this location, it was extremely busy and they seemed understaffed. However they decided to work in the service industry and I feel like they could have been kinder and more courteous. A lot of them had faces of irritation and disgust with the consumers. The lady at checkout was very kind to me but I overheard her complaining of other customers under her breath but loudly enough for customers to hear her... Our pizzas were covered in balsamic to the point where we couldn't taste anything other than balsamic. I had to take off all of my toppings because it was so overpowering and sweet. My pizza wasn't good, I feel like it would've been great had the balsamic not been dumped over the entire thing. I still left a tip on our tab because I do feel like the staff was just frustrated with the extreme rush of people... There is serious room for improvement though. On another note, the ingredients were not kept clean, there was mixture across a lot of the toppings and if I were allergic and didn't thoroughly check my pizza I could get something that I can't have. We came to Blaze in search of lunch while Christmas shopping. You can choose from a list of pre-made pizzas or build your own. I'm a little intimidated by "build your own" so I ordered the White Top which has white cream sauce with mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano, arugula (they give you the option to put it on at the end). Blaze as an efficient system for ordering: customers order at the counter and follow their pizza to the cash register, where the pizza is put in the fire. You can find a table while the pizza finishes cooking and wait for your name to be called. Don't miss dessert! We had the s'more, which they can heat up for you! Yuummmm. I am a fan of pizza, but I am not a fan of horrible customer service and slow service. I arrived at 2pm on a Saturday with only two people in front of me to get my pie made, after waiting 7 minutes I finally had someone greet me and ask which crust i wanted. at the time there was only one person making pizzas and let me say sloth from zootopia moved faster than this guy. It took another 5 minutes to finally have someone walk me through the process, and let me say he didn't care about how the pizza looked as he carelessly put toppings on my pizza. Total wait time with no line: 21 minutes with 6 employees working I would advise blaze to take Fast out of their title cause it never is. Side Note a lady informed a staff member that there was no towels or soap in the ladies restroom. The Employee then came over to another employee and complained about having to do that now too with a long line coming in. Word of advice train your staff with can do attitudes and focus on speed and quality to make the customer experience a memorable one. Not a slow and burden like the experience I had a blaze UPDATE: Justin the Owner contacted me and offered free pizza, I am sorry Justin but I won't be returning to this restaurant until you train the staff in speed and service. The kid who attempted to make our pizza was so noticeably high, he couldn't even write my name down or get the dough on the plate. He moved at a snail's pace and kept smiling and laughing to himself. I've never seen someone so high, and I've seen some pretty high people. I didn't say anything, I waited to see how it would play out. I even considered videotaping it with my phone, that's how shocked I was. My husband then tapped my arm and whispered "Let's get the hell out of here." So he clearly saw it, too. We waited another minute and he only got worse. We just walked out at that point. Before that, a few weeks earlier, I ordered an Art Lover on the app. I will never use the app again. The pizza was pretty much naked. It wasn't even close to being an Art Lover. That happened on a weekend. I don't recommend going on a weekend night, by the way. You'll wait forever in line and the pizzas are sometimes cooked improperly, probably because too many are going in. Most of the employees act like they hate their lives, too. It's rare to see a smile. Many demonstrate poor customer service and almost make you feel badly about daring to ask them to do their job. And I have never seen an adult there. Is the manager sleeping in the back? No wonder these kids don't care, and do as they please. And good luck finding a clean table. It's sad how quickly it went downhill. This location used to be great. Overall, this Blaze location needs a new manager and new employees. Stop hiring entitled kids who act bothered by doing their job, or feel the need to get sky-high in order to get through the day. Had to wait for 30 minutes after ordering because they were out of mozzarella CHEESE and a worker had apparently gone to Whole Foods to buy some. There's a line and people have been waiting and he comes strolling back on his cell phone taking his sweet time. They also served people out of order and had excess staff just looking lost and confused behind the counter. The pizza maker guy didn't even know the menu and had to continually look back to make our orders. Also, the place was disgusting, trash everywhere. It was a joke. We visited at 4:15 or so on Saturday, September 29, 2018. The food was excellent. We probably won't go back, due to the terrible service. Eight employees being the counter, one of them actively helping customers, one making dough. The other six ignored us while we waited for someone to find make our pizzas. One of them had her an earbud in, listening to music and dancing. We know there was music because she took her phone out of her pocket to pick her song. One guy walked around telling everyone else what needed to be done. Another guy was trying to find a ride home and trying to have conversation with anyone who would listen to him. Once our pizza was made, we got to wait at the register for someone to notice us. Talking guy ran over to music girl and stuffed ear phones in her pocket while she looked for a new song. Finally someone came from the back to take our payment, but he and the talking guy were so bussing l busy negotiating the cost of a ride home for talking guy that I had to repeat myself three times on drinks and dessert. I was asked by the cashier three times if I wanted my cookie warmed up and I said yes three times. And then talking guy handed me my cold cookie and went back to taking about paying for gas to get home. While we ate, a small line formed. The one girl tried to help them all before the music girl finally rolled her eyes, pushed one ear bud in tight, turned up the music, and walked over to help her. She kept turning the music-less ear to the current customer and asking her to repeat herself. Then the small group gathered at the register, waiting for someone to take their money. While they waited, their pizzas came out if the oven and were sliced, their names called, before someone called for someone else to get the register. This Blaze used to have the best service. I usually give places a second chance and the benefit of the doubt. This time, though, I won't be back. I can't really place my finger on what makes this place better than Pie Five, but it is. I think it might be the crust and simpler ingredients. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Came in one afternoon after doing some shopping with my little ones and we picked up two pies. I had to go with the Red Vine with spicy sauce, and my daughter went with the simple pie. I love this place. It's the chipotle of pizza. I think Pie Five is a similar concept but Pie Five tastes like crap compared to this. I like to get the red vine pizza and substitute the spicy red sauce, add shrooms, roasted garlic and other veggies. It really easy to count your calories here too because everything is listed plainly in sight. The pizzas hold up well to go- we have ordered them through Favor a few times. You can choose from preset menu items or build your own. They have a tasty chopped salad with roasted zucchini, red pepper and a light vinaigrette. THE ONLY REASON IT'S NOT 5 STARS....I do agree with some of the reviews where the people creating your pizza move at a glacial pace. It can really hold up the line. I have tried them once for lunch and I was a to go order and I was there for close to 40 minutes. It wasn't busy. The people creating the pizzas were just moving like snails. I do understand that they are not just throwing the toppings on there willy nilly- but speed it up bro! I've been to the one in Arlington and they had it down- quick in and out for to go orders. You have the choice of being super healthy or a pig fat pig!! When they get it right, it's great. Love the gluten free crust. Unfortunately I want to love this place but they make it hard. They hardly get the app order correct. It takes 15 to 20 mins past the pick up time. We have had to have them remake pizzas so many times which means we wait another 20 minutes. It's seriously gotten too ridiculous. The Arlington location is much more on point with the orders. I would say the best takeaway is to just come in, order and go. Ordering from the app is a crap shoot.
