09/12/2018 - I visited Blaze today for a quick lunch with my better half, and this is what I found. Apparently the menus has changed, but none of the new prices are posted. I originally wanted a simple pie, so I asked for the price and was told that it went up a dollar. Wow! Okay, but the price wasn't posted for that or the one topping or the two topping. The only price available was the $8.45 on the top for unlimited toppings. Very weird. I wound up ordering a take 2. I was disappointed in the size of the salad and it is not worth trading away half a pizza, in my opinion only. Although some may argue that it is healthier. :) That said, the salad wasn't that good anyway,so I'm done with that choice. I'll get something else next time. My wife ordered the Dough Knots, and the oven lady, who was extremely busy, mangled the knots before putting them onto a plate and tossing them towards me. I told her that the knots were mangled and she dutifully asked if I would like her to refire them. That's when she gave me a slow-roll. After 15 minutes, I had to walk up and ask for them. She actually tossed the pieces onto a dish, and not neatly, and once again slid them to me. Very rude. Now I have to say that absolutely everyone else there was super nice, polite, and professional. So, I am asking with tongue firmly in cheek, for someone to lessen this poor girl's workload. I know I will by actively avoiding her in the future. If she is at the oven, I may go next door. LOL. Really great pizza. Walk in and order your crust then build your pizza your way. Not a fancy sit down but very comfortable in jeans or shorts. Service was super attentive and helpful. 3.5 if possible. I usually order the take two (side salad and half a pizza) but the salad is so sad. The arugula salad the first time I had it was fresh but after that it was so dry and they never give enough fresh fruit (they're always out?) Clearly the ingredients are inconsitent from day to day and as the day progresses and at that point I just stopped. However, this is the spot if you want a nice greasy personalized pizza! read more

Just came out from the theaters in marina at 9:15pm first thing me and my husband wanted was to find a place to eat near us, looking up what was open we saw Blaze pizza closes at 10pm and it's legit across from the theatre so we were like perfect and it's something new we would try, we head towards it, we parked and we saw that they were already putting chairs up on the tables cleaning up looking at my husband confused cause it legit says they close at 10 and it's 9:20 , it's understandable workers want to go home especially the hour nearing closing , so we went to go check and the door opens , and right away entering the staff became irritated telling us their closed with attitude, right away we saw that a coworker nudged the other with his elbow and right away that worker said they were open. Once again I understand completely that they want to go home it's been long day at work and it's nearing closing time, but it's a whole 30min we came in before 10pm I would've understood if it was like 5-10min before, we weren't going to stay and eat there we were ordering it to go but just seeing how they welcomed us with their nasty attitude we just decided to just leave. That's how you lose customers. We were truly wanting to try their pizza but after that my mood changed and didn't want nothing to do with them. From a person that understands and that works in the food industry it's exhausting and you just want to go home I get it ,But again you guys were still open TILL 10pm! You can't just tell someone you're closed at 9:30pm a WHOLE HALF HOUR! read more

Came into blaze pizza 20 mins before close on a Monday evening after a 11 hour drive from Portland, OR. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I really appreciated not feeling rushed as sometimes you do when you go places so close to closing time. The pizza was ready within mins and delicious. Skimpy toppings on the pizzas and thru don't even fill the beer all the way. When I asked if they filled it all the way the person behind the counter cheerfully said "nope" and walked away from me. I guess when you're in a one pizza joint town, customer service isn't all that important... I guess it didn't take very long, so it could have been worse. read more

Very delicious pizza for a reasonable price. You may have to wait an extended period of time so be sure to order online so you can just pick up, but even then you may have to wait. Be patient because the pizza is worth it but typically they only have 1 to 2 people working there so the lines can be long and I can take a very long time to be served. This place has been a favorite because I can build my own pizza, and if you ask for more of anything, they do it. It took a few times to figure out what I like, and I like to mix it up sometimes with different ingredients. It has been busy most of the weekends we stop by during lunch time. Chipotle style pizza shop is a big hit around here, especially because it is fast and cheap. Fresh ingredients and made to order, they are very delicious. I had ordered a bundle deal to be delivered to a resort I am staying in for an anniversary celebration. This order included a large meat pizza, dough bites, and two desserts. I had also requested for a side of ranch and pepperoncinis. When the food was delivered, with no napkins or paper plates, these were my findings. Pizza - not cut, had to use a personal blade to cut a slice. It was getting cold and the cheese was hard and not melted. Breadsticks - completely burnt and inedible. Side requests - no ranch, and no side of peppers as requested. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Poor quality food for the price you pay. read more

Damon's interactive social skills, and his lively energy almost made me forget about how much of a terrible day I had. The pizza isn't gourmet and they don't try to sell it as such. Nothing sticks out about the flavor of the product. That's not to say it isn't satisfying but nothing stands out as a wow factor. There is nothing you can point to here like the crust at Cheeseboard in Berkeley. The marinara sauce is on the bland side and the crust is not flavorful. The overriding appeal here is the location and timing. For under $10 and in less than 10 minutes you can have a quick pizza made to your order of ingredients. The restaurant is fairly spacious inside, the food fairly priced and it is usually very clean. read more
