Restaurant was way over staffed with half the employees play around with one another during a dinner rush. I placed an online order, pick ready @ 613pm. I got there at 605, the manager saw me sitting there waiting for some time asked what the name of my order was and said it would be right out. Come to find out my pizza and cheese bread was ready when I got there, it sat almost 20 minutes waiting for "someone" to get the brownies. Oh my gee! My pizza is cold and soggy but at least the browies are good. I was so mad. I could packed the browies myself. This Restaurant is unorganized and staff is not professional. Oh just got home and opened the food, my ceaser salad has no dressing and cheese bread came without the sauce. It keeps getting better. Definitely won't be going back. read more

Arrived here about 45mins before their closing for a late night dinner after being on the road for awhile. (Ps: thanks, Blaze, for being one of the few places open late in the area!) Even though they were pre-closing, the employees were attentive however it did still feel a bit rushed and a couple regular topping options weren't available anymore. The concept of blaze is easy. You either choose a preset pizza or choose to build your own. They also offer a salad and half pizza option which is more than enough food for one person. I ended up choosing the build your own pizza to split with my friend. The wait wasn't too long, even though they had a few to-go orders and a couple more customers in front of us. Overall a fresh, somewhat healthy depending on what toppings you choose, late night pick. read more

They don't have free drinking water because they don't provide glasses for water, only for soda. Otherwise the pizza is good.

This place reminds me of nights in my drinking days dirty, smelling, foul mouthed, sht hole. The chatter of the staff was obnoxious and immature. Gen xs pitty me talk.. if you do want to work somewhere quite. Grow a pair and respect your workplace. Food sucks peace and love. read more

I usually don't order food an hour before closing because I feel like that's around the time that you want to get things done and close up and are ready to go home. But the staff was super nice and very helpful. Didn't make me feel like I had to rush at all. I always love coming to this location. The pizzas are always perfect, no complaints. read more

Exceptional service and great pizza. No more arguing about what we get on the pizza because here we get our own individual pizzas they way we like them. It's the perfect compromise. We live in Monterey and we love blaze. It's usually a great place for us to grab an easy dinner! Unfortunately the service is hit or miss. My wife and I stopped for lunch today and we literally waited 20 mins with several employees staring at us and making online orders and the manager even making eye contact and then continuing to fold boxes before helping us. Usually the staff is really nice, but when RAE, who is helping with the pizza, helps me doesn't have the best customer service skills, and gives me attitude about the ingredients that I am ordering. read more

I give this store lots of passes because price and flavor are great, but today really solidified the two star rating. It looks like they can crank out food fast but they never do. They were not at all busy and were sufficiently staffed, but my pizza took 50 minutes to get into my hands and when I got home and lifted the lid, the quality was really disappointing. Sections of crust and several ingredients missing. Staff apologized for the long wait due to a lost order ticket but several employees saw what they put in the box for me and I guess they thought it was good enough? This is between a 1.5 and a two. 2 because the pizza and stuff is pretty good but holy crap, The service is lacking. It seems they do not have enough staff. There are 6 here, 3 remain in the back. If there is a manager here we don't recognize them. It's out of sorts. One girl has to continually leave front line to press dough, instead of someone else could do that so they can stay on line to put toppings on. Seems like they try to run it like Chipotle but they are not. Chipotle has preppers behind everyone on front line there to service line. Two guys are busy watching one person sweep. The one girl does, dough prep, greeting of customers, then puts the sauce and cheese on only. Then it sits until the only other girl has to put the rest the toppings on, AND then put stuff in oven, move the rest the pies around. One guy cashiering, then the other guy is also cooking on occasion, cutting and boxing. Cashier also adjusts the pies in oven. Just need a manager or super here to make more efficient. Maybe they do need 1 or 2 more staff, maybe they need to re arrange their duties. I assume people in back are shredding cheese etc. Could be way faster read more

It had to be 40 degrees in there! I was shivering with my sweatshirt on. The salad was horrible and it took the longest to make. They were out of Parmesan cheese. They gave my appetizer to the guy who ordered it after mine so I was lucky enough to get my appetizer 10 minutes after my pizza, but at least it made it out before my pre-made salad. read more

I ordered 2 hours before closing and you didn't add 3 of my toppings. Whoever made this pizza left off my balsamic drizzle, grilled chicken, and basil. Whoever made this was not paying attention or doesn't care about their job. One slice of pizza was lacking any cheese! How does that happen? Blaze needs to learn customer service 101!! First the burn the first half high rise and have to remake it (they decided it was burnt!!) Then they are inconsiderate to my son when he asked for additional spinach on his high rise half pizza. Scott put one additional piece of spinach on it and they UNDERBAKE it so it's raw. I drive all the way back and Scott says, "This is the last time we are remaking the pizza for free"--like I'm trying to get free pizza out of you all. I left 20.00 on the counter --I don't need free pizza I need good customer service. What you need to say is, "I'm so sorry we can't seem to get your pizza right". Not...This is the last time we are remaking your pizza!! Blaze used to be our GO TO place for pizza. Not anymore!! !!! Oh my goodness !!!, Never before have I ever had a pizza so delicious as Blaze Pizza makes theirs. And I just happened to discover Blaze Pizza when my family was in Marina while we were moving and we just happened to learn about Blaze Pizza and so we decided to give them a try and we fell in love with Blaze Pizza because I can honestly say their pizza is better than Little Caesars or Domino's Pizza because Blaze Pizza adds a unique flavor of it's own to each pizza and that alone makes Blaze Pizza so special in it's own way. In fact my parents and I were so impressed with Blaze Pizza we not only tried it twice but three times and each time we tried it we kept getting impressed with it a lot. Another great Blaze Pizza location. The Corporation does a great job a monitoring the qualify of each franchised location, and this includes service and food quality. When you franchise, failure comes when you do not hold your franchisees to a high standard. Blaze holds each location up to these high standards, that's why it's so good. read more

I've had the Bbq chicken pizza a few times, nice combination of flavors. I prefer the high rise crust over the original, think it's worth the extra time. I get what people are saying about the sloppy toppings bins. There's random toppings in different containers, but it's not that bad. I love the blood orange lemonade. I don't usually review chain restaurants, but I'm pretty stoked that they opened a Blaze in Marina! I'm lactose intolerant so I really like Blaze for having vegan cheese. They don't charge extra for it either, which was nice! The staff here were all very friendly and accommodating. I wanted a half and half pizza, and they were happy to do that for me. One thing I noticed though, is that they were pretty sloppy at handling the toppings. There was cheese that spilled into the other topping containers. I think the staff should be more mindful of that, because there are many customers who are sensitive to certain toppings or have dietary restrictions. What's nice about the layout of restaurants like Blaze and Chipotle is that customers can select exactly what they want on their food and what they don't. However, when toppings are mixing together and spilling all over the place, the customer's needs may not be met. Just something for the management to look out for! Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints. My food came out quick and the restaurant was spacious and clean. Will definitely be back! read more

Blaze pizza's "Chipotle"-style topping bar is a fantastic twist on pizza. I highly recommend this place for their taste and quality sourcing. However, at this particular location, service has been slow and sloppy. Portions have been skimpy even after asking for more toppings (twice) on the pizza. Employees seem very disinterested in customers and their orders. I've been twice here, multiple times to Blaze in Santa Cruz, Blaze Los Banos, and Blaze Dana Point. This location is missing the smiley greetings and personable service that I have had in the other places. read more

Don't want to offer even one star at this point! We ordered before 5pm for a 6:30 delivery with DoorDash. Our delivery driver arrived on time. At 7pm they finally told him it would be another 30 minutes or more for our 3 eleven inch pizzas would be prepared. Two of the 3 pizzas were delivered burnt and the third was the completely WRONG PIZZA. I was super excited to see a build your own pizza joint in the Monterey area! I have tried many different chains of build your own pizza places and this one just falls a little short. I'm not even sure what I don't like about it, it was just bland. And I got a wide variety of toppings and tried someone else's pizza too so I feel like I got a pretty good sampling. Similar to the "build it as you go" chipotle concept. I actually really enjoy the pizza and it's a decent price for what you get. That being said, 3 stars are for the staff and costumer service. I leaned over and told my friend that everyone working looked miserable and we joked about how if we were behind the counter making pizza all night we would be energized and have fun with it. The staff could probably get through the long lines much quicker if their energy and tempo was picked up. Everyone looked like college students, just like me, and I think y'all should have fun with making pizza and make the best of your time there... However, their matcha agua Fresca is 5 stars.
