They've also spread to Florida, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, and Texas, because why not bring "fast casual pizza anxiety" to the rest of America? Here's how it works: you stand in a line, build a personal pizza from a pre-set list of names like Meat Eater, BBQ Beast, Herbivore, or the cryptic Simple Pie (which sounds like something you'd be served in a futuristic prison before memory erasure.). Or you can go full Frankenstein and build your own. You also get to choose your dough: Classic, Gluten-Free (no thanks), Cauliflower (why?), or High-Rise, which is basically bread in a pizza costume. You walk the line like you're at TSA for carbs. They fire your pizza in an oven that crackles with corporate ambivalence, then hand it to you like it's a court summons. The staff is nice, mostly teenagers; friendly, but not exactly masters of dough. You're not being served by a pizzaiolo. You're being served by Brayden, who thinks buffalo mozzarella comes from actual buffaloes. The Slice (well, the Pie): No slices here. What you get is a personal pizza radiating the unmistakable energy of "made by a food service concept team." How is it? Fine. That's really the word: fine. Not bad, not great, not soul-restoring. The crust is the real villain here. On the classic dough, it's thin but soulless. Flavorless, forgettable, and spiritually distant. The High-Rise dough is just soft bread wearing pizza makeup; fluffy, doughy, and weirdly naan-like. Ingredients are decent, but unless you explicitly ask them to layer it on, they'll scatter your toppings like they're rationing during wartime. It's a step above Little Caesars, but not enough to make you proud of your choices. The Price: Pies range from $14-$18 Likes: Friendly staff, fast service, decent ingredients if you coach them like a Little League team. Dislikes: The crust brags about its wood-fired roots, but spiritually it's still frozen DiGiorno. The Verdict: Blaze is fine. It's pizza you eat when you're with friends and don't want to start an argument. Will I go again? If someone insists. Will I crave it? Not in this lifetime. read more

*updated review* tonight really lacked in the customer service department and in the making of our pizzas tonight. Our pizzas were so undercooked we had to psychically bring them back after us throwing them in the trash. The assistant manager gave us a refund, but it was a full fiasco experience to get one. First time here and we bought two different pizza. We got a Blazed BBQ (11-inch) with high rise dough. If you like a lot of crust definitely get this. It is $3 extra however. The other pizza we got was a build your own with the classic dough. The server was helpful showing us lots of options to choose from. For sauces; there's the red sauce, spicy red sauce (which wasn't that spicy), garlic pesto sauce, bbq sauce, or no sauce to choose from. For cheeses; you can choose between shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, feta cheese, Gorgonzola, Parmesan cheese, and vegan cheese. There's plenty of toppings you can choose from as well like pepperoni, Italian sausage, crumbled meatballs, bacon, smoked ham, grilled chicken, and spicy chorizo which is vegan. As well as plenty of veggies such as artichokes, olives, banana peppers, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, green bell peppers, jalapeños, red onions, roasted red peppers, spinach, mushrooms, roasted garlic, chopped garlic, and pineapples. Pizzas didn't take long either and we ordered during the dinner rush. Last but not least we were asked if we wanted any finishing sauces. There were spicy chili oil drizzle, sweet honey, bbq sauce, pesto, balsamic glaze, ranch, Frank's red hot sauce, and olive oil to choose from. As you can see there's of choices to build your very own pizza pie starting at $14 for 6 slices. We definitely had leftovers for the next day. I recommend having 1-2 people eating one of their pizzas it can get pretty filling if you stack up your pizza with all their toppings. I personally didn't care for the high rise dough but my significant other said he enjoyed it. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the tables were clean while we were waiting for our pizzas to come out of their oven. When we are unsure what to eat we'll definitely come here again. Especially because they close at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday through Thursday they close at 10pm so it's still pretty late that they close. read more

Blaze had been a stable for my husband's work lunches. Their pizza is super fresh and lots of options. Sadly, today will mark our last visit here. Today's incident left a sour after taste. Upon filling my water cup, the tap got stuck, water keeps dispensing until my husband struggled and pulled it out. So he filled his cup with some spirits. Upon receiving our pizza the staff confronted me and demanded that he pays for a fountain drink. I agreed, but she should at least offered him a proper cup. When I sent him to pay for the drink she told him she was giving us a discount and not charging for 2 drinks. HELLO! My cup was filled with water. When my husband tried explaining, she didn't even want to acknowledge. Wow! We packed our pizza to go. We felt very uneasy and uncomfortable as the staff were talking about us amongst themselves in front of other customers. Definitely very petty, not good vibes and unprofessional. Warning, rude servers! What a way to put a dent in people's Christmas day. Website showed they were open at 11am. We showed up at 11:02am-ish, and I went to the door to make sure it was open. It was open and I saw a man get served hot pizza. I told my family to get out of the car and when we all walked up to the door at 11:08am, we were reading the sign on the door for a second which said they open at 11:00am, then suddenly an employee walked up to the door and locked it right in front of us. We were shocked, but thought they needed a couple minutes for something. We stayed standing for a couple minutes, and it just felt rude especially when there was three employees and a customer just started to eat his pizza. It started to feel demeaning. Ordered two pizzas but could not stay to watch how made since my dog was outside. I explained to Yoana that dog's twin died day of fires and he has anxiety and can't be left alone so could she just make the veggie herbivore and a mushroom pizza, then I would pick up. I paid first and returned 15 minutes later. It was dark outside and I didn't want to leave my dog out too long so I ran into Blaze to pick up the pizzas then walked home. When setting up table for family, we noticed the pizza was not vegetarian but full of pig meat sausage. We are Jewish and vegetarian. I could not keep that haram food in my home so threw it away immediately and set trash out for pick up. I called Blaze and no one answered phone so I left an email message and was called next day by Marco at 9am. He was agitated and rude. It is rough taking a call like that so early, and I explained my health does not need the stress of rudeness. He said to bring the receipt back to Blaze as I did not have a photo. I walked a mile next day to do just that and produced the receipt but Marco YELLED at me "Go ahead and post a bad Yelp review, I don't care!" that NO REFUND since I don't have a photo? It was ridiculous Mother May I baloney of this very unhappy manager asserting his 'authority' to run customers away. My family has spent $80 weekly on Blaze since the pandemic but after this unprofessional behavior, I will no longer order from Blaze for anything, and this also includes feeding mass shelters because I don't want for any staff to encounter rudeness. read more
