Gluten free dough and vegan cheese with few toppings.

Pi Day! = $3.14 for your 2nd pie. Some locations have their line out the door. This location is busy but well managed and also it is a bigger Blaze. Love that they have gluten free dough and vegan cheese. I'm not vegan but I have gluten and dairy intolerances. Glad they are able to accommodate and we can build our own pizza. The employees are pretty organized, there's one taking the order, another one is taking care of the toppings, one putting the dough into the oven, one at the register, and one person putting pizza into boxes. Took advantage of their pi day promotion. Love it that they honor the gluten free as well into the promo, it's just the lesser pie price is the $3.14 one - which is still a good deal. Love that they have plenty of seats inside and pretty spacious. They have small parking lot and there's plenty of parking spots on the street.

This is the second time I've been here and it has been a decent experience. There is ample parking in the back and a large seating area. They have an area where you can choose individual slices of pizza on display for about $4-$6 dollars. They re-heat the pizza slice in the oven which took about 5-10 minutes the second time around. I got the pepperoni and buffalo chicken but what I really wanted was the BBQ chicken which was really tasty the last time I had it but they ran out! These are generous slices and tasted decent! Nothing mind-blowing but for the ease and quickness of service and being fairly priced, it felt like it deserved a 4 star. Also to note, they have a sink right in the middle of the room so you don't need to go to the restroom to wash your hands (which honestly was not well ventilated).

I usually like Blaze Pizza and have been to several locations. This is one I feel is different from others. The service I have to say is pretty bad. When I walked in, there wasn't anyone in the store but 3 employees. All talking as I walked in. One was sweeping the floor, other came to take my order, then walked away saying the person sweeping would help me. Which she did after she finished sweeping. Then taking her time putting on her gloves. I was almost about to walk out. Then she comes. She puts very little toppings on my pizza and I'm one not to really like too much but she was being cheap. Not like any Blaze I've been to. When I got my pizza they didn't even ask if I wanted any other seasoning on top like others do. Will NOT be coming back here.

After I pick up my wife from work we headed to Blaze Pizza to get dinner and dine in the restaurant. We have been to a Blaze Pizza before it's been a long time we can't remember what we order. We decided to come this Blaze Pizza in South Pasadena close to my wife job. We step in the restaurant the interior look very nice but cool.then we look at the menu display and see what to order. We decided to order the BBQ chicken pizza with a side salad and their new items meatballs come in three and we order a cheese bread and dessert s'more. This Blaze Pizza gets really busy with orders to go and people come in to order the pizza to go or dine in. They call our name we pick up the pizza and open the box the pizza smell fantastic with aroma of fresh pizza coming out of the oven. We took a bite the pizza explore in your mouth with flavors like the BBQ sauce, the chicken, banana peppers we enjoy the pizza very much. Then try the meatball they werecvery good very tender and sauce was excellent good with the right amount of spices that this sauce good with addition of banana pepper it good taste. Then we use the pizza crust to dip in the meatball sauce it was so good also use our cheese bead amazing good. The side salad was very good. The S'more was good. We need to come back again to try a different pizza.

I love Blaze Pizza because you can customize your pizza just the way you like it. I usually load up on cheese and protein, and by the time my pizza is baked, it's huge. I've been to other locations, but this was my first time at this one. It's spacious, clean, and the young staff reminded me of my college days working part-time. They were friendly and accommodating. The three of us each ordered our own pizza and took them back to my house to watch a movie. It was a perfect evening with friends.

I was in the area and decided to treat myself to Blaze! As a first time customer, I knew the premise of the spot but didn't realize how extensive their sauce, cheese and toppings options are! Wow! I was in heaven haha It was around 2pm on Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. I let a guy go in front of me bc I was still deciding and wanted to see what he got hahaha after learning the ropes, I made my order with 1/2 garlic pesto, 1/2 spicy red, 3 types of cheese and various meat and veg - one being roasted broccoli yum!!!! The service was fine and friendly. I was stoked and took a snap of the pie / pre-boxed!!!! Seriously best pizza ever with so many options. Can't wait to try more and may be my new go to pizza place.

Slowest service ever. How long does it take to cut a pizza. I watched people get impatient as pizzas just sat uncut. Pretty unbeliveable.

The restaurant sells itself as an East meets West, New York Style, California Vibes establishment, and it achieves this effectively. I came by with my daughter on a Saturday afternoon. The inside, see photos, is clean, well organized, filled with TVs playing sporting events, and sporting an open kitchen, and a self-serve beer and wine bar. I especially liked the pizza boxes available to take extras to go, as well as other conveniences easy to grab. After resisting the many delicious looking beer options, I ordered a personal Manhattan Meat lovers pizza ($14), a crisp, well constructed small pizza with excellent crust, no flop, and multiple meaty toppings. My daughter had the Shrimp Scampi with Linguine ($18), which included a trio of garlic knots. The pasta was cooked perfectly el dente, was exceptionally lemony and garlicky which I can appreciate, and included six large shrimp. While the sauce could have been a little thicker I thought this was quite good for a pizza and beer place. Everything was made fresh. The staff was friendly, made good recommendations, helped us get a to go bag, delivered food as it completed with a smile, and overall seemed quite happy to be there. Prices, above, I found to be quite resonance for an independent chain offering food of this quality for sit-down. Mamma's was a surprising hit, offering great food and casual vibes at a great price. No doubt, I'll be returning with the boys for a couple pies and to enjoy the many drinks on self-serve tap - froyo for the old, yo! Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Value: 4.5/5

We ordered a spaghetti and meatballs, and it was delivered without the meatballs. Huh. Got fixed. Meatballs are delicious. Better than Charlie's Trio (where it seemed too heavy on the breadcrumbs, which made the whole meatball soggy and meh, although I prefer the marinara sauce at Charlie's - it's sweeter. Mamma's is more tangy, which my partner prefers. Anyway......saucy tangent aside...). We also got a mushroom/spinach pizza which was delicious, and an appetizer of toasted cheese ravioli. They gave us some free garlic knots to start. Delish. You order at the counter and they give you a number. The tables were moderately clean. The (very nice) staff member who came to our table when we realized there were no meatballs asked us to dig under the noodles to see if the meatballs were...hiding? We earnestly asked him, "Do you see any meatballs?" because, I dunno, maybe they were really tiny meatballs? We collectively concluded that there were no meatballs, so some delicious meatballs was brought to our table posthaste. Solid service. They also have this pay-by-the-ounce system of beers, which I had never seen! I've seen it with wines. It's like pinkberry, but with beers! This seems like a great idea if you want to try a few different beers. Might do that next time.

I've had a lot of pizza from New York City, to Italy, to many destinations in between and this crust is up there as some of the best especially to be based in California. That being said, I've had better pizza. The sauce really left something to be desired. It was underwhelming and a bit bland. The wow factor was definitely missing and sauce tends to really make or break a good slice of pizza. Same goes for the cheese used...It just lacked that yummy cheesy goodness you usually anticipate when you bite into a slice and it didn't help that they were a little skimpy with how much cheese they put on their pizza. I think this place would be phenomenal if they took the time to nail the sauce down and really invested in good quality cheese. They're so close just missing the mark on the flavor. The crust absolutely saves them from being bad but it still made it just an "okay" slice of pizza. The staff at the order window were friendly and helpful. The environment could use a little cleaning but overall it seems like it reflected the hipster/ quick eats vibe they're going for and it works for their business. Try this spot out and judge for yourself.

Their 4 squares was more than what I had expected. 2 slices filled me up! You can actually miss it if you're not too familiar. Pizza. Astounding. Definitely fresh ingredients. Tastes like Detroit style. Massive amount of cheese but not too much where it's overpowering. Unfortunately, it proved to not really be for my tastes. I will mention, as maybe this was an issue, that the day I chose to go was of course the odd day where they had some sort of "emergency" and didn't open their doors until hours after usual, so maybe their game was off. Located in a small Pasadena strip mall, the parking is on the side street and goes up to the second floor, which is where the pizza place is located anyway along with an Indian restaurant and a couple more businesses. The place is incredibly tiny, clearly meant for take out and not at all for dine in. There are three 4-people tables total and no bathrooms for customers. Went right when they opened and got a large Caesar salad, which was pretty good. The problem were the two four square pizzas. And the biggest trouble was the sauce, which is way too sweet in my opinion. I got the plain cheese and one with black olives and Italian sausage, which was more generous with the olives than the spare sausage. I didn't think it was anything special. Then again, I have been to the main places in Detroit and not been wowed there either. Still, this wasn't as good as other Detroit pizzas I've tried, so unfortunately I can't recommend it from my experience.
