Stephanie is the best hair dresser in houston if you have curly hair! She is super knowledgeable in non sulfate and non silicone conditioner and shampoo. She knows all curly hair brands and knows exactly which brand/type of product your hair needs. She also knows a bunch of techniques to make sure your hair always looks it's best. She also cuts hair when it is dry so that the shrinkage won't change the length. She cut my hair to the most perfect length. Definitely would recommend. I came across this place on Yelp and was thrilled at the amazing reviews. I browsed through photos and all of the work looked beautiful and similar to what I wanted. I went in wanting a blonde balayage, natural and blended . The place was very nice, everyone was helpful. I was just not happy with the outcome as it did not blend whatsoever. Sharon is the best for blondes. She was very patient with me as I am super particular, almost to the point of my own annoyance. I was trying to get rid of a color from before so we had a few rounds to really get it back to where I wanted. But now I love it! She won't damage your hair, no orange brassy tones, and also does an amazing Brazilian blowout I've sent a few other girlfriends to her that were also super happy with their color! I came here as a recommendation from my friend to get a balayage with Kristie. I can't rave enough about this place! It's in a really good central location and the interior is really quaint and cute. They were very prompt in getting me seen and situated, asked if I needed anything. I started seeing Sharon at Blue Mambo in August 2015, and I followed her to the new salon Bleach. When I came to her, my hair was a little damaged on the ends. My goal was to go back blonde slowly. I will say that she never damaged my hair, and I was pleased with the way she cut and colored my hair. My goal was blonde balayage. I never got blonde, but my hair cut and hair got healthier, although it stayed somewhat brassy. January 2016 was the last time I went to Bleach. I had an appointment for a Brazilian Blow Out and my roots needed to be done. The only complaint that I have is that I cancelled 23 hours and 45 minutes before my appointment. They have a 24 hour notice for cancellation policy, and because I was 15 minutes late, I was informed I would be charged $50 for canceling. With that said, I realize that some stylists have to have strict cancellation policies. But I signed the agreement at Blue Mambo, not the new salon Bleach. I also was only 15 minutes late cancelling, not to mention I was there every four weeks to get my hair done and spent over $200 every time I went and tipped 20% every single time. There was only one time I went in before my four weeks, because the color formula didn't hold up covering my grey, and I was given a significant price cut due to my grey not staying covered. Again, I understand rules upon cancellation, but I would have handled the situation a little differently than Sharon handled my situation. Other than this, I have no other complaints with the service. read more

Sharon DeWitt does great color! Like others, I followed her to different salons until she opened up her own. She's brought on good people with her (I recognize many from Blue Mambo), and they are doing great hair. The space is nice and clean and easy to park. Sharon is also very easy to reach by text, so that makes my life easier to just set up things and communicate with her that way. I was very worried about starting to color my hair, but Sharon listened to what I wanted and just nailed it. I would highly recommend coming here if you have any hair jitters. I travel for work and I had to change my appt. (stuck out of town) the same day! Julie Correa was so friendly and easy going... she quickly changed the appt. and offered an early Saturday. I moved from CA last August and had tried another stylist who left lines in my hair. My hair wouldn't sit right and the layers were really uneven. So I was apprehensive to try another stylist. I almost contemplated flying back to CA to go to my usual girl. Julie put me at ease and listened to what I wanted. She was able to even out the layers without taking off the length (I had cut off 14 inches when I moved here and have been growing it out). I also had her do a balayage and my hair came out great! Had my first appointment with Kristie and it was fantastic. It's truly hard to find a great hair stylist after moving. I normally color and cut my hair about 2-3 times a year. Kristie read all the comments I had written when I initially booked my appointment online and went over every detail. We talked about the color goals as well as haircut goals. She was very personable and friendly throughout the appointment and I never felt pressured in regards to anything. I'm personally not a huge chatterbox. I like to just relax when getting my hair done, so I really appreciated that I didn't feel the pressure to have to make a conversation. After washing the color out of my hair she went over the cut details again before cutting. When I had questions about what I should do, she also offered her best opinion. Kristie is very thorough and at no point did I feel like she rushed on the job. I love my new dark, rich chocolate brown/red/violet color and my hair feels beautiful and SO much lighter! Pricing was very reasonable as well. I think next time I will go with a bolder red color now that I've tried this out. The salon is a beautiful space. The only downside would be that I thought he parking lot itself was a bit tight with about 6 or 8 spots but there is plenty of parking around the streets. I met Sharon 1 1/2 yrs ago when I moved back to Houston from New York. She is AMAZING. She's done wonders on my hair. I'm Indian with tan skin and I went to her last year wanting an ombré balayage. Sharon was able to accomplish that easily without making it look coppery/unnatural! I've gotten my hair colored by her ever since! She does an amazing job every single time. She takes time to listen to you, and give suggestions. It helps that she has good taste and knows what will work. So so glad I found her! Also- the salon is brand new and perfect.
