As I'm sitting here chilling with my peach smoothie, I decide to write a nice review for this place. This joint is located in Pechanga, right next to the hotel lobby-- which is awesome because 1) non-smoking section! Parking is via valet or garage-- so it's not too bad. The environment is really nice because it's so spacious I could hold a dance recital or something grand and big. The couches are comfy and there are a lot of tables and outlets to charge your electronics. The area is extremely clean and the staff are extra friendly. The items on the menu are delicious. I really enjoyed the Cobb salad and the peach smoothie. The prices are a little high, but is a casino-- so register for a card and get some e coms aka casino moolah. Blends is by far our go-to spot in Pechanga. The coffee is delicious. The desserts are out of this world. They also have a variety of fresh food, snacks, and beverages to hold you over while at Pechanga. Some of our favorites include the caramel latte, the smoothies, the carrot cake, mango cheesecake, and sandwiches. They also have salads, pastries, wine, and beer. You can smell the aroma every time you walk by, and they definitely pull me in every visit to Pechanga. Like the rest of the staff at Pechanga, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We visited during the holidays when Pechanga was at max capacity. We always enjoy a visit to Pechanga and normally grab some good coffees and a delicious snack at Blends. The cashier said I can get a refill of coffee for $1. Cool and I tipped. Never left, sat in the same spot for less than an hour. Their coffee tasted burnt to hell but I went up and asked for a refill... why not? $1! The lady said I needed my receipt. OK, the guy never gave one but said I could get a $1 refill. They made me wait in a 45 minute line just to find out they had zero food left. The manager would be remotely smart if they thought to put a sign at the front of the huge line stating that they had nothing left. Was a waste of my time. Also, they check ID for food and coffee from only specific patrons. They are selective about who they ask which is very unusual and uncomfortable. read more

Came back during COVID (2021) and was pleased by the precautions taken at the casino. Blends is the only cafe to conveniently get drinks and snacks so came by again. The blueberry muffin had literally one blueberry in it. I thought they gave me the wrong muffin. So disappointed, especially bc everything is so overpriced here. read more

Came here to get a hot tea since it was so fucking cold walking from the parking structure to the main lobby for Pechanga's annual Wine Festival last month. LOL. Ordered a Midnight Dreams tea which is a comforting blend of chamomile, spearmint, and Lemon Grass. At first I wasn't too sure if I'd like it since I'm not a huge fan of chamomile, but surprisingly found this tea blend very good. The chamomile wasn't too strong that I actually finished most of the tea and made me feel nice and warm from the cold. It was also pretty cheap at $3.50 for a medium sized cup in a casino (I'm so used to the overpriced food and drinks in casinos), not bad at all. Did the drink blow my mind? Solid place to get a coffee/tea inside of the Pechanga resort. Not really anything special about my experience to report aside from that I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were not too expensive at this casino cafe. Around $3 for a tea or a coffee. The service was good too. I was even able to find seating and decent wi-fi to get a little bit of work done. Overall, a step better than your run of the mill casino cafe. Edit 12/28: After trying their breakfast pastries I have to dock a star from my previous review. Croissant tasted a little weird, too buttery and dense I think. The almond roll and muffins were so so. We did enjoy the lemon coffee cake though. read more

Not sure if the service is any different during the week but I went on a Saturday and I waited literally20 mins for a drink that they forgot to add coffee to. I ordered on of their specialty drinks which was a blended banana split and I asked them to add coffee to it and I even paid extra for it. After waiting an eternity (20 min) for it I was frustrated so I just took my drink and walked out without tasting. After taking my first sip I realized there was zero coffee in it. I will NOT be coming back to this establishment after my experience. read more

This place is so perfect! What a cute little place! I got a white chocolate mocha and it was way better than Starbucks! They have a variety of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and snacks for the road - oh and WINE! It's too bad we don't have a Blends in SD! The service was fast and friendly. They do some things that are 5-stars and some things that are 2-stars. Hopefully the Pechanga people read this. STAFF - 2 stars I go in here often as I stay at Pechanga for a few days every other week. I always feel like I am interrupting their conversations within their group. They are friendly...but damn it, I'm the customer. When you see a customer hit the front door...stop chit-chatting and pretend you are working and that you care about the customer. COFFEE DRINKS - 5 stars As good as it gets...especially the Mexican Mocha and ESPECIALLY THE ICED MEXICAN MOCHA. SANDWICHES - 2 stars I know they are sitting there all day and you are afraid the bread will get soggy, but your ratio of bread to filling is all wrong. Even with the bread as being as tasty as it is, it's winds up being way too dry and not a pleasant experience. SALADS - 4 stars. If you are going to make a salad that is a large as you make them...you may want to rethink the amount of salad dressing. More! DESERTS - 5 stars They are just awesome. ...none of this matters if your staff is 2 stars. Get it together folks. read more

A small cute place if you're looking for a cup of joe or a bite to eat. A lot of seats for couples but not many for larger groups. Had a small selection of desserts but I decided to buy a tiramisu. Got the Mexican chocolate blended drink and an iced tea latte. They allowed me to change green tea to early grey which was great. My sister didn't enjoy the iced drink because she could not taste the cinnamon. The drink is made with Ybarra chocolate, hence the drink should have had a bit of a cinnamon taste. I asked for an iced latte and it came out hot. I just asked for some ice in a cup. Tea latte was okay. Next time I'll try a pastry but this did get our cravings fixed for the time being. read more

This is the second time they've done something to my Mercedes-Benz the first time it was a total loss to the insurance this time I hope it's not as drastic. This is a 1.5 star review but I'm rounding down and not up because I was so disappointed. So, because Pechanga will write a generic response asking for more details about the date and time of my visit, here it is: I visited over the MLK weekend, Sun-Mon 1/14-1/15. Service was ok on 1/14, but horrible on 1/15. However, on neither day were the workers very friendly at all. One girl was nice enough on Sunday evening about 9pm, which was our first visit, but "nice enough" isn't really what they should be striving for. On Monday, we visited at 3pm. We ordered a mango cheesecake, a tiramisu, and a strawberry filled cookie to go. For drinks, we ordered a Mexican Mocha (those are pretty good) and I ordered a Ethiopian coffee pour over. The girl at the register was also nice enough. The other girl behind the counter wasn't nice at all. No eye contact, you couldn't hear her when she spoke, and she never smiled. The guy at the bar was nice, but he didn't really interact with the customers. Until they screwed up my drink. The not-nice girl gave my pour over to another woman. So I waited and waited and finally after about 10 minutes, I had to flag her down (she saw I was waiting but never stopped to ask me if she could help me, even though it was clear I was waiting and had been for a while), and ask her for my coffee. She tried to give me a drink that wasn't mine, and I wouldn't take it. So she gets the guy, and he determines that she gave it to the lady who's drink is still sitting there (that the girl tried to give to me). He remakes my drink but he's in a hurry now and rushes it, so I get a pour over that tastes worse than Folgers. We've been waiting for more than 15 minutes though, and we're anxious to get on the road ahead of traffic, it's almost 3:30pm, and we just give up and we leave. Sadly, we didn't check the bag. They ALSO forgot to give us the strawberry filled cookie that they charged us for. I was so bummed, I was really looking forward to that cookie after being in the car for 4 hours coming back from Pechanga. Kind of a bad note to end a nice visit to Pechanga on. read more

Horrible customer service. Rude for no apparent reason and very poor communication. We ordered 4 coffees and were given 3. Upon telling the barista we ordered 4 she let us know that we could pay for a 4th, even though we already did. Wouldn't suggest ordering from this place, the crazy female barista that works here might just decide to only give you half of what you paid for. One star for service..Love this coffee joint but Naomi (short, Mexican chick) has got to go. Every single time she's at the register, expect for the rudest service. I've complained to management, but apparently it doesn't matter to them. She checks your ID a million times to make sure it's really your face, her questions are condescending, she gets defensive when we tell her exactly what we wanted after she screwed it up and the list goes on...i.e. "what size iced coffee?" I replied a small, she then responds, "well that's the 22oz!" What about a small doesn't she get?! There's only two sizes! Small and large! I give Blends 5 stars because normally casino coffee shops are rude, dirty, slow, and nothing special. Blends is none of those things. Their Columbia coffee was particularly delicious. I believe they make the coffee on the spot. Their desserts are also great. The marble cake goes well with the black coffee and it's fresh. What I love most is the seating arrangement. They have super comfy couches where you can relax after losing all your money at the casino. read more

Very good coffee, my vice. I try to avoid coffee as much as I can but when I am in the need of a pick me up I usually stop over to starbucks. I went into the casino looking for a starbucks and they didn't have one. I asked the security guard where the starbucks was and he said there wasn't one. I was worried. He said check out Blends around the corner, and that it was better. I did not believe him. I like a few other coffee places better than starbucks, ie.. ITSAGRIND, Nordstrom etc, but not many. I was skeptical, but their White chocolate Mocha was beautiful. So rich and tasty. It took about 15 min to make so be prepared to wait. But it is well worth every drop. Just take the top off to cool it another five more minutes. But well worth every min waited for this extremely chocolatey coffee. Bliss to the extreme!! read more
