this lady is a character for sure. My dad is a HUGE Star Wars fan and I was hoping to get a legit nice Star Wars cake for his 71st birthday. My sister paid me to find someone on Yelp but unfortunately I didn't do my best ability. Be warned: GO TO SOMEONE WHO HAS AN ACTUAL ESTABLISHMENT. not someone who runs it out their home. I really wish I read the bad reviews first and looked thoroughly through the pictures because it seems like victoria makes the same mistakes... 1. She's not on time, 2. She misspells words/names on the cake 3. It looks nothing like the picture you sent! Before my dads small gathering, I texted her asking about a time for me to pick up the cake. (I will upload the messages to prove it so she can't deny she ran over 2 hours late) she confirmed with 12pm. I also asked her for the address of where to pick up the cake since it doesn't have an exact address on Yelp. She doesn't send me one. So the next day at 11:37 I obviously need an address if I'm going to pick up the cake by 12, so I text her. She tells me she needs another hour? If she knew she was running late she should've txt me.. isn't that more professional? Anyways it's 1:18 now and she's still not done. She claims she's barley adding decorations? I told her if I can get a picture but she doesn't want to send me one. And I again ask her for her location and she says, "I'm sorry I'm busy trying to finish your cake." BUT YOU HAVE TIME TO TXT FULL ON SENTENCES?! you make no sense lady. If you have time to txt then put those fingers to work with an address. I don't respond, and it's 2pm and she's finally done. She sends me the address asking when will I be there. I basically reject the cake. She was late, looked nothing like the picture. It was supposed to be on a black board. Overall, the WHOLE cake was tacky! since I rejected she told me that my deposit was non refundable but I did a claim with PayPal anyway. As the owner, it's her business to deliver a product ON TIME. later on in the day when I thought she couldn't even be more unprofessional, she texted me saying this... " If I do not get payment. I will send you to collections. And it will go on ur credit." She wanted the rest of her money but if I never received the cake why would I pay? Either way I'm happy to say I won the claim and my sister got her deposit back! I would NEVER recommend this lady to anyone. read more

As this is my parents' place, I highly recommend the tiramisu. It is my favorite and having graduated from le cordon bleu in patisserie I think that I can say with confidence that their cakes and breads are really good. The breads are soft and buttery and cakes are light and not overly sweet. The Korean breads are by far the best I've had as I've tried many places not just here in LA. Their gombo phang is the best!!!! As for price you can't really beat them. I keep telling them to up their prices as I know they are worth more and are cheaper than a lot of other places that aren't as tasty. Whenever I come to visit them as I live out of state, I always take a bunch with me and take some for friends. I wouldn't do that if I didn't like their goods. Friends don't like when you bring them cr@p. Greatly greatly recommend this place. Try it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

The business owners do not have any training in baking or food hygiene at all. I am very sad to write this review but the model they use to run it is quite scammy. I have been to the store multiple times and they offer free breads for a FAKE 5-star-review. Just look at the other reviews, how exaggerated and fake they are. I am a business owner and acting like a panhandler when it comes to 5-star-reviews is not a business attitude suitable for 2020. The owner should either hire a trainer cake decorator or learn herself because her store is VERY pricey for her amateur designs. After visiting this business and being a business owner myself, I have to say I am very disappointed. The 5-star-reviews I read on Yelp were fabricated. The owner, an elderly Korean woman speaking broken English is offering free breads to people in order to make them write fake great reviews. This is not how a business should operate in 2020. No, it's not "the best bakery in LA" or "a great spot", the quality is mediocre at best, the prices are sky high for no reason and the owners gave me a cold attitude. I may come back and leave a better review if things improve, but until then, I suggest to the owner on getting some cake decoration training because her designs are amateur but her prices are pro. The pastries are nowhere near the quality that is being described in the reviews and the owner did not follow my instructions when it came to the way I wanted to decorate my cake. It is better to be honest about an order that it is too difficult for you to create than overpromise and underdeliver. There was a lot of pressure and efforts to bribe me with freebies in order to leave a positive review. I see that a lot of the excellent reviews here and written by family or friends in order to promote the business and give a false exaggerated impression. my favorite bakery in downtown LA !!! I used to live in little tokyo and i've been going to this place for more than 2 years. especially their curry croquette and chocolate cream something bread = -= are really really good. sometimes they have special offer like buy 2 get 1 free.. (maybe everyday after 8 or 9 ?? or only on the weekend? i'm not sure..) I have been to that bakery with my friend and one of the workers kept pressuring us to write a review and give 5 stars when we haven't even tried the bread yet! 4/13/26: Respectfully, I read reviews then consider my own experience; especially if I am a returning customer. From my approximately 5-6 visits over the last years, I've had a pleasant experience with the female manager. I like the chewy tapioca bread especially. Also every single time I've ordered coffee (even at night), it's AMAZINGLY FRESH, and I'm a total coffee snob. So I was there yesterday, and the coffee was fantastic and hot. The tapioca bread wasn't as fresh as freshly baked, but it was sold on on the sale section, so what can I expect. read more

My friend ordered a wedding cake from Bliss Bakery and it was an utter disaster! The owner completely ignored the picture and instructions and created a horrible cake because "she is the cake decorator and has the right to make it the way she imagines it". Didn't even apologize when my friend got upset and said that they will never order from that store again. Doesn't speak any English, so unless you are Korean or speak Korean, don't expect to communicate. I would put ZERO if I could. read more

Used to be great but not anymore. Quality of produce is really lacking. We were there early and the products out looked stale. I was shocked. it was hard, bland, taste, it was like 2yo child tried to make bread using just water and flour. will just pass it next time without looking. Bliss Bakery makes my day full of bliss! Food is very good. Eat your heart out Porto's. Samples are pretty good. I've been to friends' parties where they've ordered cakes and pastries from Bliss, and they always tastes fresh. Costs more than my making it myself, but Bliss always tastes better. read more
