[[HIGHLIGHT]]For a Saturday morning, I was expecting chaos--but surprisingly, it wasn't too busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prime location right in the heart of Glendale, and parking? Honestly not bad. There's some in the back and street parking too. And yes, it's LA (you literally have to pay to breathe)... you're gonna pay--so let's not act surprised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is open, clean, and has a good vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a big TV in the main dining area if you're trying to keep up with the game, and a smaller tucked-away section in the back for a more low-key, intimate feel--perfect if you're not in the mood for the brunch crowd energy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started with a ginger shot and a caramel coffee--solid choices, would definitely run that combo back. Food-wise, I kept it classic: scrambled eggs with a side of feta (they got it right), plus potatoes and bacon--no complaints there. And let's be real... if you come here and don't order the crunchy French toast, that's basically a crime. No further explanation needed. Would I come back? Affirmative. Was it worth it? You bet.

I've been on a chilaquiles kick, so when I saw it on the menu for brunch, I was like, yes + margarita! Sadly they were out of tequila, so I subbed a Tropical Mimosa, which was okay. Honestly I really liked this chilaquiles - it was super saucy and the crema was great and just salty enough. It came with chicken tinga, which was perfect. I do prefer a saucy chilaquiles which means the chips get soggier faster, but I'm okay with that because I never finish all the chips anyway. The service was okay - they were out of a handful of things. they forgot my friend's order and then brought the wrong coffee - so it definitely felt like not the A-game, but the food was good and the location is great, so I'll probably come back.

Ordered a hot tea and a mixed berry crepe at 11:02am received the order 30 min after even our tea came out 15 min after... and the place wasn't even that busy. Not sure how two items take that long to make. Very disappointed.

Really liked this place for a quick, yummy brunch. Love that you can just scab the QR code on the table and get to ordering. No fuss, and the food came out pretty quick. I tried the Burgundy omelette which came with spinach mushrooms goat cheese sundried tomatoes and more! It was super flavorful I liked how they cooked the eggs, they were light & soft and very well seasoned. It came with toast which I enjoyed with their blueberry jam - wow! You can tell they home make all their jams & sauces. I really want to come back to try their crunchy French toast! It sounds so good. And it's their signature dish. Hope to be back soon!

Came here to grab food while killing time. The carbonara rice dish is always good. Add extra bacon! When I went, there was no wait. Depending on the time that you go, you might have a difficult time finding parking.

I've been to three other Blu Jam locations (Sherman Oaks, DTLA, and Melrose) and none of them disappoint!! Their menu is epic and creative--I was being healthy so ordered the mushroom salad which was fantastic!! You order from the table (or at the counter for the Luddites) through a QR code and the service was good!! They kept checking on us, just like regular table service would. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the shade on the sidewalk and it was as lovely!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

After a farmers market shopping my family and I came here for brunch. We were seated right away, we ordered our food through the app which was convenient I guess. I'm trying to figure out if I like that option rather than a waitress taking orders. I guess depends on what kind of restaurant you at in. It worked here just fine. I enjoyed my Cobb salad , it was fresh and delicous. My husband got the huevos ranchero over potatoes and liked it a lot. The brunch burger was ok not the best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was good so was the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall a nice spot to have a meal with family or friends.

Blue Jam Café in Los Feliz delivers that perfect neighborhood‑brunch energy--bright, relaxed, and buzzing without feeling chaotic. The menu leans comforting but thoughtful, and the standout is the crunchy French toast, a dish that somehow manages to be indulgent without feeling heavy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service stays warm and attentive even during the weekend rush, and the patio makes lingering over a second coffee feel entirely justified.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's the kind of spot you walk out of already planning your next visit.

    Aurora L.

Shakshuka:I was not satisfied with the balance between the soup and eggs. It would benefit from at least an extra egg, as it leaned more towards tangy tomato soup with bread rather than a fully satisfying dish. Carbonara eggs: Be warned, it is a very salty dish due to the amount of bacon pieces included. While it was too much for my friend, I enjoyed it. Mimosa: Delish. No complaints here. Latte: Perfect

In a not very obvious area of DTLA, next to Urth Cafe but no other restaurants. We didn't have reservations so we had the option of sitting at the bar or following the waitress to a back room area instead of the front room that is visible to everyone. My son is a minor, so to the back we went! Seriously, the closer we got to the back room the more I felt I had been cast in "The Chef." Scary! Lol! The back room is black. Blackout black! Black tablecloths, walls, chairs, dark, low light. Very luxurious and open space. Which - because it wasn't full at the time - felt a bit like being in the film, The Menu." A bit too upscale and empty to feel comfortable. More guests arrived later, a large table, so that was more comforting. The food: Recommended *Kara Kara Tamales: braised oxtail with a peanut butter sauce. Wow! The taste was wonderful! Hard to explain but Filipino/African food meets Latin food. It was on the "shared plate" menu, which to me means it will be a lot. But the 2 tamales were not very big. Still, they were so rich that the 2 really were sufficient to share. Quite filling. I couldn't get enough of the sauce! *Crab fried rice: Very tasty and generous portion. Plenty share! Not recommended: The street eats menu. Now, this is what pulled us in - the sights and smells of the food being grilled outside the restaurant. Most of which was on this meme. Like a tasting menu. But for price to portion ratio, it simply isn't worth it. I ordered the skirt steak. 4 oz, cut in half. Cooked down to what looked like .5 oz! Each on a toothpick sitting in a paper plate (or maybe it was cupcake holder?) IDK. I just know it wasn't a good presentation and the taste wasn't memorable. Regular. More grill smell than taste. Not at all worth $8. Service: Really nice. And mostly good. Though they did fail short by (1) Using only small appetizer size plates and (2) Not bringing a fresh plate to eat the crab fried rice on after the peanut butter sauce laced tamale appetizer was eaten. The server brought the fried rice, but didn't bother to give us fresh plates (nor silverware). My son was mortified when I grabbed a plate from one of the empty tables! (Teenager energy on full effect). But after initial attentive service, the variety of different servers whizzing by didn't stop to ask if we needed anything. And I sat waiting at least 8 minutes staring at the rice. I assured my young man that the servers would be fine with me getting another plate to save them from having to. And once I did, he suddenly started eating from my plate of my peanut butter free fried rice. And of course, when a server did attend to us and I let her know, she was glad I took matters into my own hands instead of not eating for 15 minutes. Thoughts: Go for dinner, and order from the full dinner menu, skip the skimpy street eats menu. With reservations you can sit in the main restaurant area that has some view to the outdoors. Without it - back to the black room you go! Know that it will be expensive. And it will be original. Not sure I'll go back. It's very "special occasion" upscale dining. But If I do it'll be with reservations. The meal was memorable and worth experiencing.

My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. I forgot what the food costs so I visited the website and for some reason they don't think it's important to put that online, which is pretty darn stupid if you ask me. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience at Sandcouch Cafe and I would visit again in the future thanks to it's convenient location. The food was solid and the staff was friendly, and that's really all I need when ordering a sandwich.

It's conveniently located to the LA Convention Center, Crytpo.com arena, and LA Live which makes it a must visit before or after an event! I am obsessed with their happy hour, which offers healthy items at discounted prices with generous portions! I have been here so many times throughout the years but most recently found myself here during a busy World Cup match! Regardless, the service and quality of food was not sacrificed! I was greeted as soon as I got there and the bartenders were overwhelmed but still friendly and helpful. I was so tempted to get a margarita, since theirs are amazing, but decided to keep it dry and just get their vegan nachos. I was able to score a table outside on their lovely patio, which felt secluded enough from the main street. My food was brought out quicker than I thought and I was delighted, as I was famished! The vegan nachos here are fantastic and the happy price is only $10, which is a steal for what you get! They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. I cannot wait to return again soon the next time I'm in Downtown LA! I am hoping to try more of their vegan options and next time I will for sure get a drink to go along with their delicious food!

I ordered the Espresso Martini, and it tasted pretty watered down and lacked the bold coffee flavor I was hoping for. On the bright side, the food was definitely the highlight. The mussels were flavorful, the calamari was crispy and cooked well, and the fries were delicious. Those dishes really saved the experience . Overall, I'd come back for the food, but I'd probably steer clear from cocktails and order a real drink. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

The servers are so helpful and always cater to first-timers for an enjoyable experience, whether for a date night or hanging with your buds. HOKKAIDO SCALLOPS (a favorite) -Buttery, savory and expertly seared -The brown butter-bacon vinaigrette's contrast with the slightly tangy mustard greens makes it so enjoyable BLISTERED SNAP PEAS - Fresh, crunchy and tossed well - An ideal veggie to add to the feast OCEAN TROUT TARTARE - Great starter for a warm day - Tangy and served on crusty garlic toast - Also great as a main for a light lunch CAST IRON CORNBREAD - A must for the table - The whipped butter and wildflower honey is light and abundant - Smear it all around like you're icing a cake and dig in! I've been many times and have never been upset by an entree or cocktail. So grab your buds for the ultimate vibey "catch-up" and go family-style when ordering.

After looking around the museum and enjoying the artwork, I went to Manuela, the restaurant inside the museum, on October 3, 2021, and again on October 9, 2021. One time, I went with just one close friend, and the other time, I went with a group of seven friends. On October 3, we made a reservation in advance and had brunch there. On October 9, we all went to the museum together, but since we hadn't made a reservation, we weren't able to eat there that day. I remember the atmosphere being really nice, and I remember that everything we ordered was delicious. All of the staff were also very friendly, and I remember the prices being quite reasonable. My friend and I, of course, split the bill evenly. Since it was five years ago, I obviously don't remember the exact prices in detail, but I do remember feeling that the food was reasonably priced. The only downside was the valet parking, which I remember being around $20. Other than the parking fee, I really liked the place overall and had a very good experience there.
