Went for a late lunch on a weekday. You order at the counter and grab a seat - everyone who works here is friendly. Drinks were average but not worth the price. The double strawberry wasn't too sweet but didn't go very well with the espresso in it. My honey oat latte was decent. The Italian spritzer was questionable. The French onion soup was delicious. I would definitely get this again. While the turkey sandwich was presentable and ingredients tasted fresh, I really didn't like the structure of the sandwich. All the proportions were strange. The avocado and turkey were squeezing out constantly and the tomatoes were falling off the edge. The focaccia bread was fine but not the best vessel for this sandwich. I don't think much thought was put into the experience of eating versus just the presentation was considered. The breakfast burrito was good but only had 6 tots which was kind of sad looking. Something was truly wrong with the brussel sprouts. It wasn't fresh. I'm sure they overdid the balsamic to cover this up. It was also muggy inside with flies flying everywhere. It was hard to enjoy eating while sweating on the velvet furniture. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie and the maple oatmeal sandwich cookie. I wouldn't get either again. I don't know if I'll come back anytime soon but perhaps will give this place another try someday. Edit: changed from 2 stars to 1. Those brussel sprouts were definitely spoiled. That's disgusting to serve to customers.
Happy July! I haven't been back to socal in sooo long! A friend recommended coming here as a place to grab lunch and catch up with friends. It is located in a plaza with lots of parking. You order at the register and they give you a number. They bring the food to your table. You can choose to sit outside or inside. When we went, there were no available tables inside. Happy hour starts at 2, which worked out for us! We all ordered different dishes. Jill's combo, chicken Koko moko, veggie omelette scramble, blueberry ricotta pancake, country kitchen breakfast, poke nachos, and truffle fries Drinks: mimosas (comes with extra champagne), blueberry matcha latte, strawberry matcha latte, espresso martini, berry collins. The individual pancake is super big. We were worried about the portion but turned out to be incredibly large. I had the country's kitchen breakfast, which was a simple but delicious meal! One thing I wish I knew was that they put cheese on top of their salad. Unfortunately, I don't eat cheese so I didn't eat the salad. However, everyone I was said the salad was delicious. Drinks were delicious! I would def recommend going during happy hour. Drinks were $9 Overall, it was a great place to enjoy food and catch up with friends!
Blueberry Social is AMAZING! I can't wait to come back. The line was quite long to order at the register. It went out the door and I think we waited about 30 minutes to order. Once you order, you can choose a seat inside or outside in the plaza. We opted for inside. They seem to have limited staff, which means they are bogged down by lines and serving resulting in limited tables being cleaned. I got the blueberry lemonade and it was a good mix of tangy and sweet! Highly recommend if you're not in the mood for coffee/matcha. I ordered the chicken koko moko and it was DELICIOUS! The chicken was breaded with panko which made it really crispy and a fun texture. The rice had the same gravy on top of it. The mac was also classic and great. The only con was that the egg was a little over, but nonetheless still edible. Highly recommend!!
Bluberry Social left me with mixed feelings. The atmosphere is easily the best part of the experience: bright, modern, and spacious without feeling overly trendy. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger over brunch, which is probably why it's become such a popular spot. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't quite live up to the setting for us. We ordered the French onion soup, smoked salmon pizza, and breakfast burrito. Surprisingly, the French onion soup was the standout dish. It didn't look particularly appetizing when it arrived, but the rich, savory broth and balanced flavors completely won us over. The smoked salmon pizza had a great flavor profile, but it was way too salty. The salmon was already heavily seasoned, and the capers only amplified the saltiness. Despite the salty pizza, the breakfast burrito was my least favorite item. My wife enjoyed it, but I thought the eggs were overly fluffy and abundant, which muted the flavors of the other ingredients. One thing worth mentioning is the wait. I had read reviews about slow service but assumed those issues had been ironed out by now. Despite there being little to no line when we ordered, our food took about 45 minutes to arrive. I think something may have happened with our order because I noticed multiple parties who ordered after us receiving their food much sooner. To their credit, the staff was friendly and offered complimentary pastries, though they weren't particularly memorable. If you're in Irvine and looking for a brunch spot with a great atmosphere, Bluberry Social is worth checking out. The food wasn't perfect, but the overall experience was enjoyable enough that I'd be open to giving it another try.
Been wishing to have a taste here and had an average / lukewarm experience Drink: Iced strawberry matcha latte (with alt option almond milk) was my favorite item. It had fresh strawberry pieces and made with a richly, smooth organic ceremonial matcha. Iced blueberry matcha did not bring the same level of spark. It was less fruity in blueberry taste and a bit more watery. Top pick is the strawberry matcha over blueberry. Con was they give paper straws and it was degrading halfway through my drink. Food: The big breakfast burrito was mediocre which I was quite bummed. It had a coat of grilled cheese on one side which I pulled off and the chorizo was more of a seasoned chunky ground beef. The side avocado had a bitter taste and had an oxidized appearance revealing an extended shelf life. The salad palette did not complement the burrito dish. Service: All employees were helpful and friendly whether taking our order, asking for assistance or addressing inquired questions. It is open seating after ordering so do not be discouraged by the long line; however, after we were seated we did wait almost an hour for our food on a Saturday during brunch time. Ambiance: I enjoyed the airy and bright layout allowing the natural sunshine lighting. Overall: It's a breathable atmosphere for a true social gathering and just grabbing a matcha latte. It's not necessarily one of my OC choice spots for brunch and major eats.
Brunched at Blueberry Social with some friends on a busy Saturday morning. The indoor / outdoor concept is neat and you'll be lucky to snag a seat inside as the aesthetic is cute and trendy. The line was kinda long around 11a on Saturday but moved somewhat quickly. Order at the counter and then self-seat. I ordered the breakfast burrito and an iced matcha latte with a cream top. The breakfast burrito was filled to a good size and came with a side of tator tots and small salad. The entire plate was pretty satiating and tasty. The only thing I would change is the quantity of salsa as the little cup was nearly not enough. I must say, I was impressed with the iced matcha latte as I didn't think it would be as good as it was. It comes pre-sweetened with agave but thankfully wasn't too sweet. The service was ok, nothing special or to write home about. We sat outside and our food was brought to us and then plates were picked up after we were done eating. Next time I'd like to sit inside and enjoy the effort they've put into the decor.
The food is Delicious. My sister and I ordered a pasta and a focaccia sandwich. They really put thought into the seasoning and flavors even for the side salads. Nothing felt overwhelming or heavy; it was just the right amount of depth and richness of flavors. I love spaces where there are high ceilings too. Charming and quaint. The people here are intentional about checking in with each table and making sure all are well accounted for. We're grateful for your stellar hospitality. The bathroom is also clean. Ample open seating that makes this place a good place to visit with loved ones. God bless you all+
I came here for brunch with a friend. I had been here once before and had a great experience, so when my friend suggested it, I happily agreed. There's plenty of parking, so you don't need to worry about that, though you do have to walk a little bit since it's not right in front of the entrance.They open at 8 AM, and even though we arrived at 9 AM, it was already pretty crowded. I really wanted to sit in one of those pretty pink booths, but while we were ordering, they all filled up. So, we ended up sitting at the bar in the center of the restaurant. They also have a lot of patio tables, but we chose to sit inside because it was a bit hot out. The overall vibe is super trendy and beautiful. Even the croissants lined up on display looked so incredibly appetizing! lol.I ordered the omelet, and my friend got the avocado toast. Our lattes came out first, and they were absolutely delicious. The food was served in a reasonable amount of time. I loved the presentation--unlike the typical scrambled eggs you get at most brunch spots, it looked so neat and beautifully plated, which put me in a great mood. The warm, melted cheese paired perfectly with the soft eggs, and the arugula salad on the side was amazing, needless to say.However, my friend only managed to eat half of her avocado toast. It might just be her personal taste, but she said it felt too greasy to finish. They do have hot sauce available, but she had already lost her appetite and didn't want any. For dessert, we ordered some kind of morning bun, but she found that too sweet as well, so I ended up eating the whole thing! I personally thought everything was delicious,
Stumbled upon BLUEBERRY SOCIAL while looking for restaurants to try in the area. Loved the whole vibe so we came to check it out one Saturday around noon. There was a line out the door, which we expected because of the time of day and from posts we've seen, but the line moves quickly since you order at the counter and then find a table. There are plenty of tables inside and outside, but I'm assuming they're usually all taken inside. Luckily, we were able to grab a table inside. The design and decor is so cute and chic! The booths have pink suede couches and so comfy and roomy! So Cal Loko Moko -- it was just okay for me, I think my tastebuds were expecting an original loco moco flavor, but the garlic fried rice was throwing it off. Still good nonetheless. Hawaiian island pancake -- liked this, sweet enough for me without the syrup. B.B tots -- very crispy which I liked, but other than that, they're just tots. They have a huge breakfast/brunch menu and they have separate lunch/dinner menu as well! They also had a lot of interesting drinks, but we didn't order any this time. It's definitely worth checking out.
Love the ambiance in this place very modern and earthy. The line can get long in the mornings, there are tables inside and outside. The only con I have are the tables inside are very limited, first come first serve basis. Huge plaza, an abundance of parking the staff were friendly! The drinks and food tasted unique and tons of flavor. Order first, and they bring the food to your table.
I love me a new brunch hot spot! Thus, Blueberry Social was such a good find. It's uber cute and trendy ~ perfect for catching up w/ friends, having a cute lunch date with the hubs or even a chill weekend family outing. Located in the Hmart plaza in Portola ~ between Culver Dr and Irvine Blvd, Blueberry Social takes up a decent-sized space, right smack in the middle of the plaza. It's one of those places where you walk up to the counter, order your food & go find a seat to have it delivered. Thankfully, there is plenty of indoor & outdoor seating to choose from, but depending on the time that you dine, I can see how it can get quite crowded. Service is quick & efficient and the staff was friendly ~ providing food & drink recs, since everything looked good and it's hard to decide. The menu is American comfort food w/ a modern twist. The vibe is casual and I love the aesthetically pleasing decor (esp. the cute pinkish suede couches/bench tables inside) ~ it's quite contemporary & calming. The food? Super yums! Everything was very fresh and tasty. It actually felt worth the hype (which is rare lol). The portions were solid, and the presentation was definitely IG-worthy..go check out my pics & see for yourself. I've personally been here a couple of times ~ either with friends, w/ the hubs, and/or with my fam, but I always gravitate to ordering the same dish..the SoCal loko moko ($19). Everything..from the island style garlic rice, roasted mushroom onion, brown gravy, angus loco beef patty, Kona mac, and sunny side up golden yolk eggs is just perfection. I've honestly never had a loko moko before (even tho I've been to Hawaii many of times), but I'm sooo glad that THIS was my first, cuz now the bar is set and I have high standards to compare to, moving forward. I just love everything about it..so so YUMS! OMG..get it w/ the blueberry crumble latte and you will die with smile. I swear that coffee is sooo addicting. Who knew blueberry crumble would pair well with coffee, but it does and I'm hooked. 10/10 would come back for another brunch + coffee moment. RxFoodie recommend!!!
This place was pretty busy on a Friday morning around 11, but there is indoor or outdoor seating, so it was easy to find a spot to sit after ordering. The portion for the chicken moko was HUGE, it was enough to feed 2 people. I liked how the made the chicken katsu really thin, so it wasn't too heavy & really crunchy. read more
Such an adorable gem of a restaurant. Came here for breakfast and was blown away with their decor, plush mauve seats like cmon! I want it in my living room. Servers were all so kind, and our food came out quick. There's plenty of hands on deck in the kitchen as I glanced in while I made my way to the restroom. Friends told me to check this place out but nobody told me they had Hawaiian vibes in their menu from the burrito with the crispy potatoes and chorizo, to the early bird spam I was just blown away with the attention to detail (floral decorations on my açaí and pancake that you can EAT ) to the tots and arugula salad that I never knew I needed for breakfast until I stepped into this place. I have been wanting to come here for so long after seeing it on Instagram, and so glad I finally did! This is a very cute, modern cafe whether you're looking for coffee, wine, food, or all the above! I only had time to grab a quick Matcha to go but definitely want to come back. There was plenty of seating at community tables, bar top, or even outdoor lounge chairs. They also have a daily happy hour from 2pm-5pm which had several cocktail and food options! read more

Last week we stopped by after school for a casual get-together. It was around 3:30 p.m., so the place was fairly empty--perfect since we were looking for somewhere quiet. We had the best time catching up. Because we were still full from lunch, we decided to order a charcuterie board and drinks. Everything was light and tasty, and our drinks were especially pretty. I ordered a blueberry lemonade; it was a tad sweet for my taste, and I probably should've asked for less or no sugar--it didn't even occur to me that it would be on the sweeter side. Still, it was enjoyable and definitely not a deal breaker. The café itself is very aesthetically pleasing, so I can see why it's been popping up on my FYP. I recently checked out this brunch spot and was really impressed. They offer a great variety of dishes, and their matcha drinks are excellent -- the blueberry matcha stood out, with a perfect balance of fruitiness and earthy matcha, so neither flavor overpowered the other. I even treated myself to a glass of wine because, why not? My favorite dish by far was the loco moco. The beef patty was juicy and well-seasoned, the savory gravy was rich without being heavy, and the perfectly runny egg tied everything together over the rice. Comforting, flavorful, and executed beautifully -- definitely a must-try. read more

In the land of chains, Blueberry Social is such a welcome break from it. The ambiance is great and it's honestly such a perfect little brunch spot. Blueberry matcha - I'm normally more of a fan of strawberry, but this place may convert me. The blueberries were fresh and you could really taste them in the matcha. Got a blueberry pancake combo and the brisket hash. Also upgraded one of the tots to the truffle selection. Food was good! The negatives about this place - you have to come early for good seating. We were here pretty early - 9AM on a Sunday but the booths were packed. We did manage to get inside seating and were slowly waiting for a booth since it's easier to manage our Toddler with one. Some of the patrons were just....sitting there. They were done with their meals and just sat. And they were still there by the time we had finished our meal. Kitchen is a bit slow - it does take a bit to get your food out. Even when the line isn't that long. Overall, I enjoyed this place, but they are a bit slow (maybe still opening pains) and they are a bit pricey for what you get and if there's a line - definitely not worth a wait. read more

My favorite breakfast in OC! Honestly, maybe my favorite breakfast of all time. Breakfast burrito is okay, I wouldn't order it again since there are better options out there, however everything else in the menu is amazing. My boyfriend and I went every day in a row just to order the steak loco moco which we thought was better than what we had in Hawaii!! I tried the matcha orange creamsicle and it was the most delicious drink I've ever had and the flavors paired so well in a way I didn't expect I was blown away!! The drinks are definitely sweet but delicious. Even though there's always a line I've never had issues with finding a table for a big group or waiting too long for food. I'd say the line usually takes 10-15 minutes on a weekend. This is a must try for anyone in Irvine. read more

Incredibly torn about this place!! When the food is good the food is GOOD & the drinks are delicious. But the menu is insanely inconsistent to where the employees have no idea what is on it & can sincerely not answer any questions. Wanted to try the happy hour menu but was met with so much uncertainty about products it concerned me. Even about pastries. We ordered many things, including a coconut shrimp slider option, and unfortunately the shrimp was entirely raw and had to be sent back (with another table sending back a plate as well). What seemed like the manager was very kind and served us a new one with an additional pastry. I really hope Bluberry Social can provide more consistency because like I said, when it's good it's great!!! And genuine service too, but seemingly struggling. Hope to come back!! read more

Just came here for a cappuccino, but ended up trying a few things. The restaurant was clean and open with sort of an indoor outdoor vibe and seating. The workers were friendly and even though it was crowded and there was a line, they served our drinks and pastries pretty quickly. Was excited to try this spot after seeing it all over TikTok. I got a matcha latte, spam/egg sandwich w/ a small salad and tater tots, a matcha pistachio croissant, and guava pastry -- all costed around $40. My favorite was the matcha pistachio croissant. It was super tasty, huge and addicting to eat. I also thought the spam/eggsandwich was just ok. I felt like the egg overpowered the spam a lot. Went on a Saturday around lunch time and it was pretty busy. There was a semi-long line and a lot of tables were filled, especially inside. Would come back again for the pastries. read more

Very cute and trendy cafe/breakfast spot that sits in the corner of Irvine blvd. Where H Mart is. Interior looks so chic modern and fancy. I ordered their matcha strawberry but felt the matcha was very weak and bland especially after mixing. The color was very light green. Pastries or danish were decent! The passion fruit one (sorry I forgot the name) was my absolute favorite. read more
This new cafe is absolutely beautiful. The inside looks like an art museum. You order at the counter first and are given a number where you can seat yourselves. There is still staff coming by to serve your food and drinks. There is limited seating inside so you'll see alot of people take up the tables outside of the cafe. I came a little too late for breakfast so had to choose from the lunch/dinner menu which was quite vast. The blueberry matcha was delicious; strong matcha taste and the subtle sweetness of the blueberry. It reminded me of the blueberry matcha from Krisp. Tip: ask for your pastries warmed up! It'll tastes miles better. As for the food was very tasty but I think the presentation could use some work.. my giant plate of plain romaine lacked colour and texture... perhaps having the chicken on the side or some spring mix added would give it some life. The dressing on it was sweet, tangy and bright. The side salad that came with the lobster burger looked very small and sad as well. Overall this place is very promising and I love how they're open pretty late for a brunch spot. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast. read more

The service this morning was great. The woman who took our order gave my friend a pineapple cake on the house because she found out we were celebrating my friend's birthday. I really enjoyed the pancake and tater tots but since I brought my toddler and she doesn't eat anything that has green on it, next time I'll tell them to not put the green tiny bits on it. I'm not sure what those green bits were but you can't taste them and they made the tater tots look pretty. My blueberry crumble latte was delicious. I asked for mine less sweet and it was perfect. It actually made me feel more alert and energized all day so that was a win in my book since I'm a mom of 3 whom is normally tired all the time. The place is beautiful and I love how open the space is. This was my second time ordering brunch here and my third time eating here since last time I did happy hour here. I highly recommend this place because the lattes and food are top notch. read more

Man oh man, Blueberry Social is now one of my favorite brunch spots! I will be honest and say I haven't been there physically but my husband picked up twice and he told me about it so I'll share! My husband has been there only on The weekends. Last time he waited about 25 minutes but he must've gone at a crazy busy time. The wait that day was 45 minutes. He's sent me photos of the pastries display and the full bar. Definitely going but maybe earlier before the brunch rush. read more
I can't believe I waited so long to try this place! Very aesthetic interior with delicious food. You order at the counter and then find a seat. I wanted a booth, but unfortunately, those were taken fast. The breakfast burrito and egg sandwich were so delicious and I loved the refreshing salad it came with. I also enjoyed the strawberry matcha and double matcha, but I do wish they had soy milk as an option :( The ube cruffin was pretty good, but was a bit hard so it was hard to eat. This place opened in October 2025. There is a line so get here early! We stood in line for maybe 20min, but it grew longer over time. The aroma of baked items , food, and signature coffees drew us in. Ambience is very welcoming and subtlety decorated for Christmas. They use a hanger(?) door so its very open. During winter, its cold even inside. Dress warm! - Sea Salt Amber Latte 5* - Hawaiian Isle Pancake 5*+++ - Eggs 5* - Brisket Hash Omelette - 4* eggs, hash was 3.5*. When combined it's easily 4.5* - Truffle Tots 5* NOTE: Mix with a side of eggs for a whole new dish! Also 5* - Ube Cruffin 2.5* - Passion Fruit Kouig Namann 2.5* The Hawaiian Isle Pancake was astonishing. It was the star dish. Unfortunately the baked items are stale and lacking good flavor. The sugar frosting on the Ube Cruffin tastes artificial. The restaurant is 5* but stay away from the baked goods. Its not worth the calories. read more

Ok. I always thought this was a brekkie place but don't over look happy hour or dinner. We just had a group happy hour for the holiday & it was great. No problems parking, lots of outdoor & indoor seating, and it wasn't busy. We had a really friendly, attentive server. The food was better than I expected. Some people had wine, some people ordered fun matcha drinks, & I had a nice, warm tea. Something for everyone. read more
The whole walk up and order system is great but at times, the person taking the order seems a tad bit annoyed. Food comes out pretty quick and the menu is pretty standard. The best thing for me here is their blueberry matcha. So good! It's convenient and close but wouldn't be my top choice for a brunch spot. read more
It was my first time finally trying Blueberry Social and it was so good! We came on a Saturday morning around 11am and we were able to get a table inside. The interior is super cute and the booths are so comfy. All of the entrees we got were delicious and so were the blueberry lattes. We got it with half sweet and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. There's also a lot of outdoor seating too. Highly recommend this spot!! read more
I loved the vibe here. Definitely worth bringing your kids, family or date or girlfriends here to have a great brunch or coffee. It was really busy on Saturday 10:00am and had a lineup but we were able to get a bar top seat for 2 within 10 mins so props to the team for coming out and asking the lineup if anyone wanted 2 seats at the bar. The food and drinks came out very efficiently I would say within 15 mins of ordering despite how busy it was. Blueberry crumble iced latte - 10/10 (I would ask for less sweet next time but super unique and loved the foam) Loko moko 8/10 - very big and very filling Brisket omelette - super big and filling I could only finish less than half of it I cannot rave enough about the atmosphere - they played sports on their 2 big tvs there. Really lively music that matched the vibe. Comfy bar seats with their cushion. Shout out to the owner who designed this - really well built and I was watching their system set up and I can see how efficiently they can be when the team is well trained. I saw the owner of the business watching and overseeing and directing the team when they weren't as efficient as possible. There was 8 drinks sitting for 10 mins without being called out and she noticed it and immediately course corrected the team to address those and brought in the manager. The guy manager there had really great service he saw I didn't eat all my omelette and because I didn't ask for the To go box he asked if I was sure it was good and seemed very concern. Tried the happy hour menu at Bluberry Social and was not disappointed! Poke Nachos: super generous portion with excellent, flavorful, and fresh ingredients! A must order. Cheese and charcuterie board: solid selection of cured meats, cheeses, crostinis, dried figs, and nuts Avocado toast: a pretty and petite version of avo toast. Not super savory. Spritz: refreshing choice for happy hour Espresso Martini: this drink was a bit too sweet for me. If I order it again, I'll ask if we can adjust the sugar level. Service was friendly and helpful. Ambiance is casual but very nice for taking photos against the pink walls and booths. So glad Bluberry Social is offering "social hour" aka happy hour now! read more
Amber Sea Salt Lattes: 10/10, SO good. Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes: 7/10 Breakfast Burrito: 9/10, great flavor Breakfast Sandwich: 10/10, love the bun and sauce. The sauce was slightly sweet- delish. Really wanted to love this place! The food and coffee was excellent, service not so much. It took them over an hour to get our food, and when they did, they completely forgot our sandwich....we had to ask where it was. The system they have for taking orders just isn't super efficient. Wait in a massive line outside to order, order your food, find your own spot to sit. Basically you aren't getting served. You order, sit for over an hour, someone drops off food. The ambiance inside is beautiful, but there is not enough seating for this self-service type of system. I got out of line to get a table because the moment someone got up someone else would sit down. The other option was to sit outside, but it was pretty hot. If you don't mind outdoor seating, it might be an easier experience. Overall, really loved the coffee. The food was pretty good. Just expect more service for the price. read more
Don't come here at 1 p.m. on a Saturday because apparently that's rush hour. But other than the hot wait in the sun, everything was good! The line died down about 30 min later so I guess we just came at a bad time. Our group of 7 sat outside because all the tables and bar seating were taken, but also because there were too many of us. Even though the lunch menu starts at 2 p.m., they handed us both a lunch and breakfast menu which gave us a lot of options. I ordered the early bird egg sandwich with no cheese and it was delicious. The eggs were perfectly salted and I thought there was too little bacon at first but it turned out to be just the right amount and crispiness. The tomato helped cut the fattiness and the spicy mayo added the right bit of creaminess to bring it all together. The tater tots were surprisingly so good. It was crispy, and flavored well with garlic chili herb oil and chives. The arugula salad also had a very good dressing on it that I ate it so quickly despite not liking arugula at all. My food came out very quickly but some of the food from my group took a little longer. They have a number system in place so that you order first and choose where you want to sit afterward. read more
Food. Was. So. Good!!! My friend and I came here for breakfast and man does it get crowded! Close to 10-11am, there was a short line. They do get their orders fast, but the inside seating can get taken up pretty quickly too. If it's a nice day outside, it's a good place to also eat outside the restaurant. The aesthetics are really cool and calming and my friend and I really enjoyed it! We had the blueberry lemon ricotta pancake, big breakfast burrito, country kitchen breakfast, truffle Parmesan tots and the blueberry lemonade. Trendy cute new spot in Irvine in the Hmart Boba Time shopping center on Irvine Blvd and Culver. Cute decor with community table options and separate cushioned booths as well as lots of outdoor tables. Extensive drink menu however very disappointing that the only non-dairy milk they offer is oat milk. I prefer soy milk as my dairy alternative but that is not an option here. Amazing looking pastries and good breakfast and lunch item variety. The staff is friendly and the tables are clean inside and out. SoCal Loco Moco - my friend liked it Jill's bfast sampler get you two eggs cooked your way a small side salad and one large blueberry ricotta pancake with berry compote on top. I chose Portuguese sausage as my meat option which came with two generous size pieces. Pistachio Matcha croissant looked to irresistible to not try but it's so large you need to have people to split it with unless you want to get diabetes! It's empty on the inside but the matcha and pistachio icing and crumble on the outside makes up for it read more
It's been about a month since this place opened, and I finally had a chance to try it out. The vibe is a mix of café, fast food, and bar. We came for brunch because the menu had quite a few interesting items. You order at the counter like a fast-casual restaurant, then find your seat with your order number. The wait for the food was a bit long. We ordered a large French onion soup, a breakfast burrito, and the Hawaiian Island pancakes to share. The French onion soup was very impressive -- honestly one of the best I've had. The burrito was just okay; I personally prefer more flavor, but my daughter enjoyed it as is. The Hawaiian Island pancake is a fancier version of regular pancakes, and the taste was about what I expected. Unfortunately, halfway through the burrito, we found a piece of plastic wrap inside. I told the waiter. He had a good attitude and asked if I wanted a replacement, but I mainly wanted them to be aware of it so they could be more careful in the kitchen. Overall, I like the concept and I'm glad a place like this is in the neighborhood. Since it's still new, I'm hoping their operations and quality control will improve with time. read more

This new brunch hotspot is what all my friends have been talking about lately! Finally got up early enough on a Saturday morning to try. Advice? Get here before 9am. Just as any brunch Hotspot in irvine, the line gets crazy. Then you can also get an outside table under the shade. By 10am, the line was like 15+ people deep. Some items were great for us but some was a miss. A quick rundown: Chicken & waffles 10/10 so good!!! Croissant benignets 7/10, the kids liked it Breakfast burrito 7/10 the burrito was good but didn't like the extra flavor on the tots Espresso martini 1/10 too sweet Blu oat honey latte 3/10 nothing special American 5/10 my elderly mom ordered it, nothing special about it but so pricey Overall a decent meal. Cute little brunch cafe with a full bar that serves delicious drinks all day long. It was already busy on an early Friday afternoon. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating so plenty of space to dine in. You order in the front and then grab a number and find seating of your choice. Came after my work out. Ordered a phenomenal DOUBLE MATCHA, very thick and creamy. You would think it would be bitter but nope; has a slight sweetness to it but not overwhelming. My friend ordered a blueberry matcha latte with blueberry cold foam which was also soooooo gooooood. For my meal I ordered a So Cal Loko Moko which is a garlic rice with brown gravy base with angus beef patty, roasted mushrooms and a fried egg. Really hit the spot for me. My friend ordered an Ahi poke bowl which was huge. Base of white sticky rice drizzled with ?sesame oil and toooed with tuna cubes and sesame seeds. You also get a side of seaweed, macaroni, salad, and a quarter slice of avocado. I thought it was just ok. The rumor is they serve pretty good chicken and waffle but honestly never been a fan of the fish so didn't choose it. Lmk if you guys try it. hawaiian pancake was delicious but a bit pricey. blueberry matcha wasn't that enjoyable to me. it tasted very diluted and not much of a blueberry flavor to me. it was crowded but the line went by quickly. it's spacious with aesthetic interior. it's a cute place if you're going for looks but taste wise, i don't think the price matches to that. read more

The food here is delicious! So far I've tried the regular loco moko and chicken loko moko, the gravy was savory, right amount of flavors. The chicken katsu was crispy and flavorful. I've tried double matcha, blueberry matcha and regular matcha latte. My favorite has to be the double matcha! The matcha was so pure and creamy and right balance between the tea bitterness and sweetness. Surprisingly this cafe serves breakfast lunch and dinner even with happy hours truly a well around cafe that all age friendly. The interior was modern and very Irvine vibe, chic and lively. Their indoor seating includes booth and long tables. The outdoor seating is much more abundant and shady. Would definitely want to come back to try all their menu items! read more

I came with a group of friends and we all had our own dishes. Something to note was that their drinks all come with oat milk by default. This was not mentioned in the menu or upon ordering so this took me by surprise. Moving onto the dishes, the two combo dishes were very similar, just with a pancake or a waffle. We all got sausage links as our choice of protein and this wasn't my favorite. It was on the sweeter side and didn't quite hit the spot for me. I also ordered truffle parm fries as an upgrade and there was an issue with this because it did not come out with my dish immediately. The dishes were flavored well and were filling despite the hiccups. Seating is inside the restaurant and also outside. Regardless where you pick to sit, it is first come first serve after ordering. I found that it may be easier to sit outside since inside seating fills up quick. Service was relatively fast but when bringing the food out, servers simply said the dish and didn't specify the number it was associated with so we had to figure it out as we went because our party had repeat dishes just with different cooking style of eggs. Overall, the experience felt a little rusty; probably because it was still during their soft opening. I'd be willing to try again in a few months once all the kinks get smoothed out. read more

I recently visited Blueberry Social for breakfast, and while the experience had some highlights, it didn't quite live up to expectations overall. I so wanted to love this place , but it felt short. To start, the ordering process is a bit inconvenient. You have to stand in line and place your order at the counter before finding a table, which I don't mind--but there's no menu available until you reach the front. Because of that, the line moves slowly. We ended up waiting about 11 minutes just to place our order. That said, the young woman who helped us (she wore glasses) was very polite and made the ordering process pleasant. For three breakfast dishes, two specialty coffees, and one cinnamon roll, our total came out to over $80. And the cinnamon roll was cold and not too tasty. Seating was another mixed experience. There were no booths available, so we sat at the bar. It was beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing, but not very functional for conversation since we were all seated in a straight line rather than across from each other. As for the food, it was...just okay. Everything was cooked properly and presented well, so no complaints about execution--but it lacked flavor. None of us disliked our meals, but none of us were impressed either. We all tried each other's dishes and agreed it wasn't anything we'd go out of our way to have again. I consider myself a breakfast connoisseur but the food lacked flavor but thank goodness it was pleasant to look at --- The food came out fairly quickly, but since we didn't finish our meals, we needed boxes to go. This turned into another challenge. Because there are no assigned servers, it was difficult to get anyone's attention. It took about 14 minutes to finally get help, as the staff seemed busy juggling drinks, orders, and food running. Overall, the concept of the restaurant is cute and the decor is visually appealing, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. If you're a coffee lover, it might be worth checking out for the drinks alone. However, if you're looking for a truly flavorful and memorable breakfast, you may want to explore other options. read more
