We stopped here for brunch on our way out of Port Townsend. It's located in a ship yard, which was unexpected when we rolled up. Parking may not be nearby but it's a big working yard so you can find parking, but it might be a bit of a walk. We were able to snag one of the picnic tables outside in front since we had our pup with us. We got French toast, a chorizo & avocado burrito and huevos rancheros. Everything came fairly quickly. The brioche bread for the French toast was soft and fluffy and thick. It was served with a healthy pat of butter, sprinkled with pecans and powdered sugar. A full order had 4 slices and I would say this should be more of a side order - cause I think I needed some something savory to go with it like eggs and bacon. Anyways I did get to try bites of the other dishes and they were both solid. Portion sizes were large too and we were able to take half the huevos and French toast, as leftovers. Service was really good and friendly. They do serve beer and something called a moosetail, which is like a fermented drink they make in house since they don't have a hard liquor license. Food - 4 Service - 3 Value - 3 We came here the other day and what we thought would end up being maybe a 30 minute meal to start our adventures turned into a 90 minute ordeal. The food itself was pretty good but probably something we could have gotten at a number of other places (I got the Salmon Omelet and my wife got their Croissant French Toast special) -- and it's quite possible the long wait for the food resulted in us not feeling like the it was as good as others have posted on Yelp. We ended up waiting almost an hour for our food -- with no visit from the waiter to keep us updated at all. We finally asked them what was going on and they apologized because they had a surprise health inspection and had to stop everything in the kitchen while that was happening. They did comp our drinks to compensate us for the inconvenience which is why the Service rating is a 3 rather than a 2 -- however, I felt they should have done a little more than that. read more

Two words for this place. Corn beef and gravy. It's in the middle of the shipyard so there is no view, but the friendly staff and the food smell make up for it. Huge menu for vegetarians and not. But the gravy! It's like clam chowder without clams. Sooo good. read more

This is a very popular breakfast and lunch cafe, and we were lucky to get a table cleared right away only because so many people were at the Rhody Festival parade! This place is a hidden gem. The pancakes are amazing. Recently I had the florentine eggs benedict and it was really good. I think we must have come during a busy time (around 9:30am on a Thursday), so it took a little longer than normal to get coffee and then get our food as well (maybe 35-40 min). But when the food came it was delicious! My bagel sandwich was YUM and the blueberry pancakes were massive. One is enough for two people easily. Coffee was decent, and the staff were nice and kept bringing fresh coffee around regularly which was great. The place itself feels very old-timey, lots of decorations on the walls, old porcelain plates, etc. Overall, a good spot in a beautiful location! read more

Great little local family owned spot! My husband and I went early one morning before whale watching and loved it so much that we went back the next day! We had biscuits and gravy, very good! The biscuits were fluffy and soft with plenty of flavorful sausage gravy. I also ordered the corned beef hash, loved it!! The next day we both ordered the French toast with a side of bacon, absolutely delicious!! The coffee is from a local roaster and it was really rich and full bodied. Had breakfast here before leaving town. They were hustling on a Monday but didn't skip a beat. I was sat within ten minutes and greeted instantly for a drink order. This is a local treasure! On a recent weekend trip my boyfriend and I stumbled upon it and loved it! It has locally (as in across the parking lot) roasted coffee (we bought two bags at the cafe). I also enjoyed the banana bread French toast with eggs and both were amazing! Such a treat. I highly recommend checking this cafe out. It has a happy, hippie vibe. On our visit to friends on marrow stone island we decided to trek into PT for breakfast it was a beautiful day the building is down by the boat yard parking was a challenge,when we arrived there was a wait ,and they nicely suggested we wait outside ..... due to limited space inside.... Our wait was not to long plus they give you a pager.... I had the heuvos rancheros which was good and a slug of red potato's which I found under seasoned and plain, my wife had a breakfast burrito which she thought was not to exciting , the service was very good !!! read more

This was my first time there and it was a great experience! I was so impressed by the layout for social distancing of the tables, the care they took to keep it all clean and the staff / family running the places was kind, friendly and so helpful! I was lucky enough to get Ashley as my waitress. She took great care of me. Everything from helping me finalize my breakfast decision, to bringing me a bit of cinnamon to put in my coffee, and she even shared with me about the area and community, when I mentioned moving here. This hot spot has the best breakfast in town! When I say hot spot, I meant it! They are swamped on weekends as early as they open. We got here around 7:30 am and had about a 35 minute wait due to covid limited capacity requirements. This was no problem for us as we just wondered the boat yard. Upon being seated the lovely lady that was helping us took our drink orders and gave us some time to look at the menu. She was swamped but did not miss a beat and never forgot about us. After ordering we relaxed and took in the atmosphere. It is a small restaurant inside but they offer outdoor seating as well. They have lots of fun art work and memorabilia all over the walls which was great to admire. We both ordered omelets and both were super good, while we shared a plate of French toast that had this insanely good walnut butter. I was very happy with the service, the food, and the atmosphere. I stopped by this cafe after seeing it on Yelp. I was in the area shopping and needed to pick up lunch to take home for my husband and I. It's a 30 min drive and it was only 10:15am (too early for lunch menu). I ordered corn beef hash, to go. OMG it was so, so good. I've never had it before but I can't imagine anyone making it better. First motorbike ride of the year and i found this place from reviews i had read. I was not disappointed, Staff were so polite everyone and i mean everyone was working hard with a smile. Char ( charlotte) was my server and was great although everyone made sure i was taken care of. Catching up on Yelp reviews. This is for a visit to Blue Moose Café in Port Townsend back on 8/18/18. Again, thanks to previous Yelpers posts! I was able to find nearby parking and it being a Saturday, there was a bit of a wait. Eventually I was seated at a two top and I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with two eggs and toast plus an orange juice. It was worth the wait...the toast with the homemade jam plus the big chunks of corned beef stood out. Pleasant wait staff. I ended up buying a café hoodie for Alex (aka The Homie) as a back to school find. Great find! read more

This is a popular breakfast stop. It is open from 7 am until 2 pm. There is outdoor seating available. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a 3% processing fee on credit card transactions. Today I tried the corned beef hash with two fried eggs and toast, a popular dish. The chunks of corned beef could of been a meal on it's own. It had a real good taste and is definitely filling. Also had a "you asked for it" that had an egg, pancake, and bacon. The pancake was thick but cooked well. The other order was a half order of huevos rancheros. The half order is a filling gluten free breakfast. The coffee is on the strong side. Everything was good enough to order again. I would probably order the corned beef hash without the eggs next time only because it was easier to roll me out after I ate everything on my plate. The other nice thing about eating here is driving around and looking at the boats being worked on or if you eat all the corned beef hash roll around and look at all the boats. read more

Great place for breakfast! The place fills up quickly with limited indoor seating, so plan to sit outside in the morning shade. We arrived at 7:30 and got the last outdoor seats. I'm giving this place 4 stars because the food that we ate was very good, the service was quick and friendly. Also reasonably priced with a good sized menu. Also when handed a menu, they also hand you a card that apologizes for the fact that they are a small one flat top grill restaurant and they can not cater to food allergies or special diets. They also offer to make you a special order, priced according to ingredients and cook time. But this is truly one of those hole in the wall restaurants with good food and not much atmosphere. My son said he's always wanted to try it but could never find it. Why he didn't GPS it is beyond me. Because, that is what we did today to find it in the Commercial District of Port Townsend WA. They have maybe 8 tables, and it probably wouldn't hurt if they wiped off the condiment bottles that are on all the tables. Their kitchen is approximately 6' x 8' and you can see the dishes being manually washed. The "kitchen" refrigerator is in the dining area. Yet, the bathroom was amazingly clean. They also had a couple of tables outside if you happen to bring along your dog. Don't think about air conditioning, but ten again in WA, most days you don't even need the air. But, Yes, I would definitely go back ... it's kind of funky. read more

Cornbread hash had little to no flavor and the French toast wasn't warm enough to want to melt the butter. We ordered a side of home fries...and maybe our expectations were wrong.
