We have enjoyed the view and the food on numerous occasions. Wynoma particularly is a very friendly and professional server that enriched our dining experience. Wish all servers were as good. Unfortunately we had an experience with an unfriendly and unprofessional server that made us question whether we would continue to patronize the bistro. She was tall, model like with jet black hair. No smile, served our soup and burger at same time, served the wrong burgers, did not know the beer products, stood over us and waited for us to examine the bill and get out our cash and said the restaurant has no change. Figuring she was perhaps having a bad day, we tipped her 20% anyway. We recommended the bistro to family. Appears the had the same waitress and had a very similar experience. My hope is the restaurant sits this server down for a talk and training. read more

Food was good. Service was okay. When we first walked in we were greeted and instructed to sit wherever we wanted. We sat close to the back door where we got a glimpse of the Morro Rock. The waiter brought us menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink, water for now is what we said. He gave us a couple minutes to look over the menu and then came back to take our order. Although polite, we didn't see him stop by as often to check up on us. Only stopped by our table to take our order, drop off the food and then drop off the check nothing in between. The food was good we got the Chicken Alfredo (on HH menu), guacamole, salsa and chips , salad and the chicken quesadilla. All were pretty good, had great flavor. The Alfredo had a kick to it which was pleasant. Had to knock em cuz of the bugs that were buzzing around our food as well as the lack of attentive service. We loved sitting by the water for a late lunch recently. Just below the deck, sea otters frolicked in the bay, for our amusement. We shared fish tacos and a fish sandwich, both wonderful. The prices were very modest for a tourist location. Our server was a lovely young man from the area, who eagerly conversed with us about growing up in the central coast paradise. A memorable visit!!! I came on a busy weekend when people were trying to flee the heat from the Central Valley. I only waited 10 mins for a party of 4 when I was told it would take 20-30mins. Service was a little slow. It took a while for our server to take our order and bring out our food, but she was overwhelmed and busy with other tables. Overall the food was good. I has the clam chowder bread bowl and a Shrimp Louie Salad. The food came out hot and fresh. We loved our outside view and it was especially nice because it was also kid and dog friendly. read more

Great place to eat! We had lunch here today and enjoyed our meal and the warm sun sitting outside on the deck. Mom and wife had the seafood salad and enjoyed it very much. Fresh seafood and crisp greens were delicious. My son had the black bean burrito with chili Verdi, he said it was delicious and loved it very much. My daughter had the burger and liked it a lot! She said it was very juicy and tasty. I had the Rock, which was eggs, bacon, potatoes, refried beans served with tortillas. I loved it. Got our food nobody came back to check on us had to ask for mayonnaise and a spoon to eat the soup with. Got the check not only do they charge 18% gratuity on five or more people they also charge a six dollar Embarrassing Surcharge with letting you know. You ask what that is for and they tell you it's for parking and bathroom maintenance well we didn't park there nor did we use the bathroom at first but then we decided that since we paid for it away we might as well. By law you need to legally let people know what you are charging for upfront not afterwards. read more

This was SUCH a dissapointment! I wanted it to be good, but it just wasn't, not the food and definitely not the service. When we went at 11:20, there was no line to ask for a seat, but yet we had to wait 3-4 minutes for someone to notice us (myself, my wife, and 3 kids). We took a seat outside and then... waited some more. Eventually (~10 minutes) they came out to take our order, and they were very impatient, even though there weren't many customers. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, about 15 minutes, but the server had never brought out silverware. When they brought out the soup, we asked for silverware, they forgot us. Waited a few more minutes, then I went in to ask again for silverware, and the rep was super annoyed. He brought out forks and knives, but no spoons even though we ordered chowder in the breadbowl. Asked for spoons, again he seemed super annoyed. Finally the food.... underwhelming. The chowder was bland, with the only flavor being salt. The quesdilla my son ordered was barely cooked- the cheese was barely melted. My burger was greasy with old lettuce that had no crunch. Most of us left our food 1/2 eaten at best. Then was the predictable wait for 10-15 minutes to get the check, with the server again seeming annoyed. For a day when there wasn't many people in the restaurant, I just don't understand how they fell so short. Won't be back. read more

Stopped in for some lunch while I was exploring Morro Bay today, and this place came highly recommended by the hotel I'm staying at. It was super windy so I decided to go in and eat at the bar, I was happy to see a soup and sandwhich option so I went in for that, Half Tuna Half Lobster Bisque The girls working the bar were nice, young probably college kids but they helped with small talk and water refills. The Tuna was decent, nothing outstanding just alright, and the Lobster Bisque was also pretty good. Satisfying and tasty at a price tag of about 11.25, not bad for lunch. 4 stars, great place! read more

Loved sitting outside. Great view of the rock. I ordered the clam chowder and it was just to my liking. Lots of potatoes and not very clammy at all (I don't really do seafood). It tasted great and came to the table very hot. I hate it when soup is too cold. I also had a tomato and avocado salad with almonds and raspberry vinaigrette which was very fresh and incredibly delicious. Huge firm tomatoes and a very large creamy avocado. Very generous portion. I also got to try an 805. I was told it's a light and crisp lager. It was pretty good. I this was my first visit and I will absolutely come back as soon as I return to Morro Bay. read more

Visiting Morro Bay for the first time and we stumbled upon the Blue Sky for breakfast. It was pretty calm for a Saturday morning which was really nice. We grabbed some mimosas and ended up splitting The Rock which was a huge amount of food, The two of us barely dented it. Everything was really tasty and the staff was really lovely. Kinda pricey for the quality of the food. I thought my Benedict was pretty bland and the crab was super fishy (more so than average crab). I will say that the portions are a good size so that makes up a little bit for the price. My boyfriend enjoyed the breakfast burrito but warning: it's huge! Nice restaurant located in the heart of Morro Bay overlooking the bay and the boats. They have a good variety of food options. Their ranch dressing was really good. Seemed like there were nice chunks of garlic in a lot of the food we ordered (pasta, mahi mahi) and it was delicious. Portions are descent too. Service was great read more

Expensive but I will say the food was good and served hot and fresh! A little irritated about the fact they take an 18% tip because the waitress didn't even deserve $1.. We had a young female waitress with long brown hair.. she literally did nothing and was snobby, even my daughters said they did not appreciate how she acted towards us, she just slammed the menus in front of me to pass out and put a bowl of piping hot soup in front of of my 4 year old daughter.. she just obviously has no consideration . We spent well over $140 on a dinner.. why should we have to pay 18% tip for services not provided? Wish we had the male server that day 4-30-23 around 5pm. I really didn't want the only review on my account to be negative, but I had to say something. Apparently this business has just changed ownership and all the old employees are gone. I went there today for brunch with my partner and dog. We sat outside on the further end of the tables. Our server was not attentive and we waited over 10 minutes to order. Once our food was brought out, we realized one dish (veggie scramble) was missing avocado and our server didn't think it was part of the dish, but it was listed in the description. But she did bring some out to us. I also got a side of avocado with my Benedict and it was 4 (!!) dollars. For maybe a quarter of an avocado! My partners toast was black. There was crab shell or cartilage in my food. My "side" of fruit consisted of 3 slices of oranges and literally 1 strawberry. Regardless, all of it tasted bad. Our server never checked in on us and they never brought water out for our dog despite asking several times. Our bill ended up being $70 after tip for two breakfast dishes, OJ, and coffee. It wasn't even worth $25. Major disappointment. But the view is nice. read more

We will not be returning here. I and my gf have been been here a few times and it has been ok but this time everything was a disaster. We came here for a birthday breakfast. Breakfast food took 45mins to be served and was cold as if it had been sitting around for 20 mins. We had to send it back and the waitress dared ask if she could microwave it for us lol. It took another 10 mins for them to bring out new dishes and this time eggs on the eggs Benedict were over cooked. By the end of this ordeal we had been there 1hr 45mins and I had to walk up to the front to pay because no server came to pick up my credit card that was on the table for 10 mins. Some staff do not wear a mask while others wear it under their nose. Considering SLO COUNTY REQUIRES indoor staff to wear mask; this place is grossly negligent considering most of their customer are seniors and food is being served. (Pics attached). Five stars for the ambience!!! 4.5 stars for the food! There's lots of seating options...you can sit inside (dark no frills room) or outside in a semi enclosed patio or outside with no protection from wind. It was a cold and windy day so we sat in the semi-enclosed patio and it was quite lovely! The view was spectacular....lots of boats, sea lions, and Morro Bay rock! We split an order of crostini with smoked salmon and then each had a bowl of clam chowder and split an order of sourdough toast. The crostini with smoked salmon was absolutely amazing!! The clam chowder was very good and hearty, but be forewarned it's loaded with pepper! We didn't mind that and were glad we had the toast! read more

I've been wanting to try this place after a friend raved about their Veggie Brie sandwich...and it truly lived up to the hype. It was so flavorful!!! It's melted brie cheese, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes, avocado, and mixed greens all on ciabatta bread. It's pretty big and I could only finish half of the sandwich and the grilled potatoes that come along side it. (The potatoes were good too). I also had a tasting of their Mahi-Mahi taco which was pretty tasty too. I really liked the mango salsa that they put on top the tacos. It also comes with plan salsa and a side of black beans. We were sat down right away and the food and service was really quick. This was good as I had to hit the road as soon as we finished our lunch. Loved the view, my wine, our server and food. We sat outside looking at the rock drinking a nice glass of wine and beer. It was nice to just relax after a long week and driving for 4 hours. I had a shrimp louie, smoked salmon crostini (smoked at the restaurant) and a Cobb salad. We LOVED our salads-plenty of shrimp/ingredients, very fresh and excellent dressings.
