A-OK. We originally came here since there are Blue Sky locations in the bay area that have been around for a long time. I think these might all be franchised. Decor is set up very similarly too. Food was good. Portions were large. Food was reasonably priced. No complaints there. Service could use improvement though. This location is small, but they were terribly understaffed. We were originally quoted 40 minutes wait. We got seated within 15 minutes. It took a little while to order since the restaurant was nearly full. Apparently there is a demo table, but I don't understand why since it is lacking space. But anyways, our food items came out one at a time....and there was 4 of us, so it had been about 20 minutes until the last of our items came out...so one of us was done by the time the last of our items came out. I had to request my tea second time and it came out nearly immediately. I know they were a bit scattered due to being short staffed, so hopefully next time is better as the food doesn't disappoint. read more

The chinese is good here... the lunch specials are legit. The $6 general chicken combo is my favorite... just enough spice and not too much garlic so I dont get that certain look from co-workers. Tiny, hole-in-the-wall family run business nestled in a strip mall next to a creepy looking antique shop and a run of the mill liquor store. Only downside is parking is a disaster here. read more

Tried out this restaurant for the first time with my husband and son moments ago...and we more than likely won't be returning. My husband ordered takeout- shrimp chow mein, shrimp fried rice, garlic green beans (which weren't garlic at all), and salt/pepper fish for $38. The rice was overcooked, the chow mein had a weird taste, and the fish was salty as hell. The beans were okay and the shrimp- huge. Aside from food being so-so, my husband did mention that the restaurant's customer service was "excellent" and he was very excited about the amount of soy sauce packets that were given to him (since Chinese restaurants usually give us a hard time about soy sauce- we (really I) love soy sauce, lol). Overall, experience was okay and food wasn't terrible. Our problem I think- comparing Chinese food from our hometown (Oakland) to other places. We have yet to find a really good spot. read more

The lady who greeted me was very welcoming and polite. That is the good part. I ordered my food online and was at the restaurant within 6 minutes because that is how close I live to this establishment. I get there and wait a couple minutes. The nice lady brings my food out all neatly packaged and sends me on my way. Now as a formal cook, I do not see any reason why my order was ICE COLD when I got home from my 6 minute drive. It does not make any sense. To add insult to injury, we do not own a microwave at my house, so a COLD meal is just what we had to deal with tonight. Very disappointing. Yes I could have pulled out my wok and reheated everything, but why should I have to from a 6 minute drive from the restaurant. It feels like they have pre prepared food sitting in a hot well. Sort of like the stale side of Panda Express, if you know what I mean. It just sucks putting in the extra effort to get the food home hot, and it was cold from the start. It was my first time at Blue Sky and it was a good experience. The dishes were good tasty, I really liked the beef broccoli (they were crunchy) and the beef well cooked. We had the chao mein with prawns and it was good and also The combined rice was really good. Car brakes being replaced nearby. Over a hour wait right after work. So I decided to yelp a place to eat that is walking distance. Found Chinese food. Yay!!!! Small place with about 8 tables or so. Small family owned establishment. The Asian lady was sitting at the register and greeted me. Ordered crab cheese wontons. Veggie Hong Kong style noodle and salt n pepper pork chops. Everything was great!! Service and food was delicious. Prompt service and wonderful staff. Would recommend this place if I was in the area. read more

Ordered Kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, pork fried rice, egg rolls and won ton soup. Very good dishes with the exception of the egg rolls these were not as tasty as the other dishes. Portion sizes were obviously smaller than others around us despite it being the same dish. First time going here & the food was very delicious! I loved it. I got the lunch special which is from 11-2pm I believe & I got there at 11:30. The special I got for lunch was chow mein & orange chicken it was delicious! Especially with soy sauce. They also gave me an egg roll which was a little to salty for me but if it wasn't for that it would have been perfect. They also give you soup for lunch special if you dine in but I only got for take out so didn't get soup even without soup I got completely full so I didn't mind I am giving it 4 stars just because it took them 30 minutes to get my food done. I enjoyed talking to a women next to me who was there prior before I arrived & we ended up getting food at same time. They open at 11 so I wonder if it's because they get slammed with many calls & to start everything up? I don't know but 30 mins was a lot for take out for chow mein and orange chicken. Not being from this area, saw the reviews and wanted to stop by and try it out. The place itself is very small, so if you have a very large group, you may try and get reservations first either that maybe just do take out or have it delivered. The food itself was very flavorful but imo was alittle salty for my taste. The salt and pepper ribs were good but were cooked slightly different from what I'm used too. The pot stickers were very delicious but a tad softer or dough-ier imo. If you are near by, stop by and try this nice cozy place. read more

This was the first time I ordered from this place. The reviews looked pretty good so I expected the food would be good. I was wrong. We ordered mushroom chicken, shrimp chow mein and sweet and sour chicken. First, the shrimp chowmein was extremely greasy. I've never seen so much grease and the dish had a greasy flavor except when you ate one of the shrimp. The mushroom chicken looked like I had ordered zucchini chicken. Every mushroom chicken I've ordered had the big black mushrooms, this dish had small white mushrooms and lots of zucchini, and, was also loaded with grease. The sweet and sour chicken was sub-par, lots of batter that was hard on the outside and very little chicken on the inside. I'm so unhappy the low quality of their food that I won't be returning for another meal. I wish I could get a refund but I doubt that will happy. read more

Came here for lunch. You get a lot of food for cheap. However, all the food lacked flavor. They use a lot of cornstarch in their soups and sauces, which cause a jello clump on the plate or in the bowl. The fried rice was extremely disappointing. It was white rice fried with a little soy sauce. No veggies and no flavor. Not sure how that can be called fried rice. The food is not that good but it is very cheap. I ordered war wonton soup, I enjoyed the dumplings and the broth and vegetables, however I did not find any shrimp or barbecued pork. The vegetables were zucchini mushrooms snow peas, no Bok Choy. I also ordered the Salt and pepper shrimp, which was disappointing as they were bland doughy and lacked and salt and pepper, I ended up tearing the dough of and put the shrimps in the soup. I have tried this place once before and I gave it the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was just the greasiness and looked past it. i ordered from here again and have been dealing with the absolute worst food poisoning I have ever had in my life pushing onto day 2. From aches, stomach cramps, and very aggressive diarrhea. I will never recommend this place. Not only did I get food poisoning but my fiance did as well. I stopped in here over a week ago and ordered food to be delivered at my apt. Elsa helped me place the order to be delivered around 7pm. It was barely 4pm at the time. My 1st time here looks quaint and clean. I ordered my Favs: egg flower drop soup- came in a large to go cup, very good. Fried Prawns 6 flattened out and crunchy diff but tasted great complete with hot mustard! special fried rice yummy and hughe portion in large Styrofoam carton. Sweet and Sour Pork with very large hunks of perfect Pork, also in a big portion. Had enough to last me a few days. Next time I May Dine In. All food delivered was piping hot. It arrived just before 7!! Elsa told me they would try to get close to my asked time. Prices are reasonable as well. read more

As I have my first (and hopefully last) cold of the season, I was craving soup. I figured a Chinese restaurant would have some type of lunch special. I was correct.... Having driven by this place a million times with 10+ years of coaching at La Sierra Community Center, I sauntered on in. A quaint little hole in the way that had a relaxed and unassuming "aura." I was handed a single page of lunch specials, so score. I ordered the broccoli chicken meal. I was given the choice of hot and sour or egg drop. I chose hot and sour. It was very tasty, with a nice "back of the throat" spiced finish. Not too spicy, just right. The broccoli chicken was nothing new, but everything was cooked well and the broccoli looked fresh. I'm not a huge fan of ("Americanized") Chinese food, but the good food, customer service, and relaxed setting had me think they are deserving of a four. The soup didn't cure my cold, but it definitely gave some relief. read more

The chicken was a bit over done, but the crab wontons were tasty...I might just order from here again, next time hopefully order a dinner plate that includes rice or chow mein and veggies!! read more
