Don't eat at Blue Sky Chinese Restaurant in Carmichael: avoid this place and please don't support this business. After almost being assaulted 3 years ago by 3 customers back in 2017 and being belittled and bullied by the owner: Eva Qihua Li . I wanted to have a chat with the owner Eva about my experience and wanted a sincere apology from her. When I called to ask to speak to the owner: a stupid little 16 year old Chinese teenager named Charice answered the phone and was nice at first. I told her I wanted to speak to the owner. She then told me to call the next day. I didn't get a chance to drop on by until later on until the weekend and when I called again today to ask if the owner was available. Charice then rudely answered the phone when she found out it was me calling for her boss and she legit hung up on to twice which was rude. When I called the second time and asked her why she hung up on me and told her she was rude, her response was that she already told me the owner wasn't there and then she hung up on me again. Lol already feeling annoyed and pissed, I drive over to the restaurant and go up to the front to see if I can talk with the Eva the owner. The same stupid little teenage brat "Charice" who looks like she's 12 comes over and I explain to her that I'm looking to speak to the owner. She then is making faces and rolling her eyes the whole time at me which is disrespectful. She already had spoken to the owner and the rude owner Eva had already told little "Charice" her side of the story so of course teenage "Charice" would take her bosses side and hang up when I called her earlier. "Charice" finally does get the owner "Eva" to come out from the back kitchen and when the owner came out, I asked her if she remembered me and the owner acted like she had never seen me before and decided to act stupid. Bitchy owner "Eva then proceeded to argue with me and tell me that she remembered nothing of my experience 3 years ago when I had to literally rehash the whole traumatizing story to her. The little teenage "Charice" came over to argue with me when I was talking to the owner when she wasn't even there working 3 years ago, but of course she felt the need to come to her bitchy bosses side. Go figure. This immature little teenage "Charice" literally was a mirror and like a talking parrot and literally mimicked everything I said back, lmfao. She had no other insults or better insults when I mocked her for being rude and making faces and rolling her eyes, literally her response was mocking me back and acting like a mirror. I gotta give it to her, she's prob still in high school or worst goes to community college and didn't even know any good comebacks or insults. At least the other teenagers whose dad tried to physically assault me 3 years ago at this shit hike restaurant had better insults and comebacks! Lmfao now, come on little girl. I was legit arguing with a little ignorant teenager. The owner then finally remembered me and then started to make excuses for her behavior saying she wasn't rude and then started to give me more excuses and rehashing the wrong story. "Eva" the rude bitchy owner couldn't even remember the story correctly, and her stupid little mini me Chinese teenager "Charice" was just going on pointing fingers at me and being rude. Look I get little "Charice" was defending her stupid boss but only because nasty owner "Eva" pays for her salary. Lmfao this teenager "Charice" should Iearn to have a unbiased opinion, but of course since she works for "Eva" she will just think that her boss is right about everything. Eva doesn't even hire many employees only like 1 employee and the employees she does hire are little little kids that are underage. Read the other reviews guys and the Facebook reviews about her underaged employees, it's against the law to hire kids. When owner "Eva" was listening to my complaints, she literally just stood there with a stone face and didn't say anything or apologize. I told her I wanted a sincere apology from her and for her to understand how traumatizing my horrible experience was with her 3 years ago. It was the owners fault all of this happened to me because of how rude she was. It was a unfortunate situation 3 years ago, after I confronted the owner Eva about her rudeness she threw my change back at me since she got my order wrong when I asked her to give me my $4 back for the wrong order. When I confronted the owner "Eva" about the situation and this got the attention of other customers who then started attacking me and two of them tried to assault me 3 years ago. It was a really traumatizing experience and the owner should be ashamed of herself for treating a woman younger than her so badly. I've never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. Of course tonight the owner "Eva" stood there like a statue and walked away. The food is mouth-watering, scrumptious, appetizing ... yummy. Here are some of my favorites at Blue Sky Chinese Restaurant: Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Mongolian Chicken, Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Prawns, Salt & Pepper Spareribs, BBQ Pork with Snow Peas, Chicken Chow Mein and of course regular steamed rice, but you know steam rice is steam rice. I usually stick with something I like once and eat it, but at Blue Sky Chinese Restaurant with every visit I find myself eating something new, not because I necessarily want to (I'm always afraid of trying something I don't like, thus ruining my appetite), but because I'm forced to by my very own taste buds screaming for more, more curiosity, more adventure, "we want more, we demand it!" Since everything I've tried at Blue Sky is so wonderful I'm not afraid of being disappointed, there will be no disappointment. Blue Sky is not like any other Chinese Restaurant where my next exploration session will leave me dissatisfied. Next week I will try something with shrimp, and I'm not even a shrimp kind of person, what am I evolving into, what is happening? That said we have established that the food is of superior quality. There are many Chinese/Asian restaurants but nobody in Carmichael or Sacramento area for that matter serves better Chinese food. The other restaurants food is not worth my time nor the exercise of my taste buds. If it is not worth my time it's definitely not worth your time, but you know what you will try yourself and you will see that you will only waste your money for tasteless, bland, inferior quality food at any other one of these places. As for me and my appetite we will stick with Blue Sky. Oh yeah, this one's a no brainer, at Blue Sky Chinese Restaurant the food is prepared hot, it's not microwaved, it doesn't sit in a food warmer "rotting" away. Fresh to order, the way I like it. Mark my words, "Blue Sky food is superb and reigns supreme," period. I've been to many Chinese Restaurants not only in the Sacramento Area but also in the bay area and of course in other countries, primarily European. Sure there may be better looking restaurants, better menus or photos but the food folks, the food at Blue Sky is absolutely unbeatable, that is why this little place at the corner of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Sutter Avenue is not only a local gem but should be a State treasure, it should be a place to visit for all, it should be a place that everyone eats, it is a place that everyone will enjoy. Some things are obvious, it's not a big place the parking isn't that great, and the restroom is kind of in the back so you have to walk through the kitchen. They could use a little face lift but it is ok, I don't think we (the loyal customers) care so much about that. After all it's better to eat great food then look at pretty walls. Sometimes the wait can be just a little longer but that's because the demand is high and the food is prepared from scratch, fresh. Yes, I'm willing to wait a few minutes, I find it that the people standing next to me don't care either, the common response is, "We don't care their food is the best." The reason I know that you will not be disappointed with Blue Sky is because so often as I eat I hear other tables marveling at the mouth watering meal, they exchange their surprise with neighboring tables, they enjoy, I enjoy, we all enjoy. So my favorite Chinese food is at Blue Sky. And as for the other reviewer who says this is Americanized Chinese food and that another restaurant has " Real Chinese Food" is a farce, Chinese Restaurants in America are serving Americans so duhh! Do you really want to eat flavorless fish, boiled pork with no seasoning, or plain white rice with no sauce because that is what the "Real" Chinese restaurants serve to Real Chinese Patrons. I would bet not (Some folks haven't a clue what 100% Chinese food is) none of us would dare touch it if we knew what else was on those menus. My friends, my family, my business colleagues and I will always get our fix for Chinese at Blue Sky. Finally, I hope this review will help those who haven't tried this restaurant, and I encourage you to bypass the negative reviews and try the food for yourself. Owner: Eva Li Incident happened 3 years ago back in November 2017: I had received great service in the past times I went here from the boss lady: EVA who is usually very nice to me and friendly. But then last night her attitude changed towards me and she was hostile and mean towards me for no reason. She ignored me two times in line and proceeded to help the customer behind me and then the first time I payed for my food she pretended she had forgotten my order. I left and when I got home, I realized that I had been overcharged and went straight back to get my money back and when telling the boss lady she had messed up on my order, instead of apologizing she instead told me it was fine, it was just $3. I was like no Im not paying for the size I didn't order. She then finally gave in and rudely threw the $3 back at me for a mistake she had made. She got the Order wrong and I was not going to pay for a Large when I had ordered and wanted a Medium. The Large was $3 more and I was not going to pay for a size I didn't order. I wanted my money back and then I got attacked by a old disabled lady who was sitting at a table right near the front and she got up and turned around towards me and got in my face and yelled at me saying I was disturbing her dinner and that I needed to leave. She was right right in my face and I didn't like how close she was and I yelled back saying I didn't have to listen to her. This then got the attention of a father in his mid 50s and his two daughters. The first daughter (the attacker) started to yell at me and accuse me that I had pushed the old disabled woman when I never even touched her. I didn't like being accused and started to yell back at the daughter and defend myself and first the dad started yelling at the daughter to stay out of it and then suddenly the dad is accusing me of pushing that older disabled woman and yelling at me. He then proceeds to come over and try to attack and hit me while the boss lady and waitress working at the restaurant are in between us holding the both of us back. Never have I been attacked and bullied like that by two crazy strangers!! Mind you guys I'm 26 now and 4 11" while this 50 year old man who is a dad is like 5 10" and coming at me and trying to hit me but is being prevented and held back by the owner and waitress. The dad yells and verbally assaults me to my face by calling me a CUNT three times over and over again and accusing me that I'm on DOPE when I've never touched a single drug in my life nor smoked or drink! As I'm dealing with this crazy dad his crazy daughter stands up on the chair of the restaurant and starts to yell at me and calls me a BITCH and CUNT as well and saying that she is going to beat me up and punch me and fight me. (This girl reminded me of the psycho girls in high school that were scary and would be the girls who would start fights and beat other girls up and jump on them and pull their hair out, and honestly those crazy nuts I would avoid in school). The daughter looked like she was 17 and in highschool and I yelled back but really shouldn't have and walked away cuz I was dealing with a crazy and not mentally healthy daughter and dad. The daughter when she was standing on the table acting like she was God all mighty proceed to flip me off twice and when I yelled at her (who the hell are you to tell me what to do ) the teenage daughter was the crazy to yell out her name like she was entitled and acted like she was the daughter of the emperor of China when she recited me her name which I should have written down so I could of thrown her and her crazy ass fathers ass in jail! In my head I was like man this chick is going off and fricken crazy and sick in the head!! The teenage daughter said she was going to punch and hit me and she proceeded to call me a troll and never listened to her dad once. Avoid this place!!!! Trust me it's not worth it here, rude nasty service and disgusting trash food!!!! Avoid!
