I scheduled an unload of my truck on 11/21/22. They supposedly assigned Ivan plus one other person to show up. I spoke to their dispatch at least a half dozen times the previous two days. The day of the work, no one showed up during the committed time. Of the two people that were scheduled, one showed up half an hour past the committed time and the other I was told said that this was a waste of his time and not worth doing. I'm not sure how Blvd moving does their work but this was wholly unacceptable. I would love a response back from them but it looks like they are now not answering my calls. Oh and here is one other note, at the end, they requested I pay the full quoted amount even though they met almost zero part of their commitment. What's the point of a deposit if they aren't going to do what they promised? P. Similar experience to other folks here. We moved back in summer, I was pretty angry with them at the time. So I waited to cool down before writing a review here. The good: As far a timeliness went they were fine for me. They were also polite and flexible when we got hit with some curveballs. The bad: Although they were all very nice we had several problems. A number of broken items that were improperly packed by their movers. Not enough packing material in several boxes. We took the more sensitive stuff ourselves, so nothing critical was lost. Mostly dishes and glasses. On the packing day they wanted $1000 cash to pay the movers. This was not disclosed in advance. Coming up with that cash on a Sunday was less than ideal. We were ready for that on the unpacking side. NOTE: This was not an attempt to scam us for more money. The total price was as agreed. The big problem was they vastly underestimated the amount of space in the truck that we would need. Over the phone I told their rep several times that I had not used movers before, and thought we would need 20-25% more truck space than they were estimating. The rep talked me out of that saying they had a lot of experience and going larger would be a waste of my money. Since they are the professionals I let him talk me out of the extra space. There was not nearly enough space on the truck when they came. There was no offer of getting another truck or more space. End result I had to make 5-6 cross state 1300 mile round trip drives to get all the stuff they left behind. I ended up with some minor back problems that took a few weeks to resolve after all that. DO NOT HIRE BLVD MOVERS! We hired a broker, who in-turn hired this company to move us cross country. Once we signed the contract, they disappeared for a few weeks did not respond to over a dozen calls/voicemials. We didn't hear where our loaded truck was for over 3 weeks! Additionally, the items documented that the movers packed were exaggerated (as evidenced by our videos, pictures and confirmation of the load once the truck arrived). They refused to review our concerns, and adjust our invoice. The bottom line, they are DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

The sales rep told me I had nothing to worry about. It's been 3.5 weeks since move in date. They did tell me I needed to wait 4 weeks max but here's the real issue. They were SO responsive during the process of selling me their services. Following up with me nonstop. All of a sudden I have questions about my stuff and it's nowhere to be found. I called dispatch and they gave me a very brief response saying it's on the way. They told me it was on the way on August 17th and it's now August 30th with no call from a driver. Then I asked dispatch to call the driver as I worked in the industry and they said it's on the way and that they cannot call the driver. Sales rep has still yet to get back to me. I will make sure my friends never use this company in the future. I hope you guys read this and decide to choose another company instead. We're a TWO-day drive away from Cali, not on the East coast. It was a TERRIBLE experience working with them. They also LOST one of our boxes! BOBBY quoted us one number. We signed the contract and the quote kept going up. My mom spoke with THEO and MARITZA, their Spanish salespeople, they lied to her and said their company could install her fridge and washing machine, turns out their movers couldn't do that at all. Our stuff arrived, boxes were broken, one of our televisions was also broken, and our fridge was also scratched up. That was another issue I kept encountering with them, they told my mom one thing and told me the complete opposite. During the midst of this process, it was also hard to get a hold of them. My mom kept calling them and they wouldn't pick up. PLUS, we had to keep calling them to get an ETA for our things. I want to file a claim, but their documentation states THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for damages done to electronics, fridges, etc. If your stuff is broken, it's because of the road. Basically, they've done everything to prevent taking responsibility for the DAMAGES THEY CAUSED. Also, I've been calling to leave a complaint and no one picks up the phone. I REALLY want to complain to the SALES DIRECTOR, their team did a terrible job. If you're going to yell at anyone, do NOT yell at customer service because they are not the ones who arranged all of this, it was the sales team (Bobby, Theo, and Maritza) and dispatchers who made a mess of things. Honestly, it felt like they took advantage of our situation. We signed the contract and they could care less afterward. They missed items when they provided the quote, so when the movers showed up they had to add to the inventory. For 4 Queen beds, they don't count box mattress, they totally missed my couch and coffee table. So the $3900 quote ended up costing $8400. And when they told me first month free then $350 for storage, they didn't tell me that the storage cost would be more than double since there were more items in loving day. AND, when the movers asked me if I wanted to use the 3 wardrobe boxes for the pillows, blankets and clothing I was going to move myself, saying That they were included...they didn't tell me that they were going to charge me $487 when they helped me put those items in the boxes!! Pretty sure BLVD Moving is a giant ponzi scheme. I was set up with BLVD via American Moving Solutions and boy did they scam me!!!!! I'm already getting my blood sucked out financially and this moving company has completely drained me. Where do I even start... 1) LOST MY STUFF? And gave me someone else's items? I got an entire box of stuff that wasn't mine, no idea who it belongs to. They lost a wardrobe sized box of my items that is pretty much just... somewhere now. Literally, if you want to be fleeced, have your charges increased multiple times despite an accurate inventory, and have your delivery take an insane amount of time to arrive broken, by all means, go with BLVD Moving. If I can give these movers 0 stars, I would. I don't even know where to begin as we had a nightmare of an experience. Let's start with being scheduled for our move between 0800-1000, where they were a no-show. When we called, they insisted it was scheduled between 0800-1200 so we waited. At 1200, no updates or calls at all and when we finally got hold of someone, was told the driver was running behind on a previous job and we're now looking at 1400-1430. Ridiculous!! Does this mean they scheduled a job before 0800 and expected to finish before they came to us? When I called, was told that George Andrade, the operations manager of Chatsworth office was literally calling me so they couldn't transfer my call. Guess what? No phone call from George. I then got a text that the driver will now be coming between 1600-1630. At 1615, driver calls my husband that they are on their way and will be at our place in half an hour. From Santa Monica. Really? Of course, they didn't show up till 1700. Only for the truck to break. Mind you, we are moving to a place an hour away on a good day. Driver says they can get another truck which at this point was 1800. So, had we gone thru with the move, we would still have been moving until 0500 the following day. What kind of business is this company running? When I called the following day after finally canceling the move, to ask for an explanation and what they can do for me, he response was "There's two things I can do. First, I can try to see if I can submit a request for a refund". The key word is TRY!!! The 2nd one is they can move me that day if I still needed to move. At this point, I wanted to ask her if she was high. Did she really expect us to use them after the horrendous experience we just had? I told her I would never, never use them and I will tell everyone I know never to use them. These people are unprofessional, didn't offer any apologies, only excuses!!! Do not use BLVD Moving. They are the cheapest in town for a reason. In 2021, I used them for an in-town move. Nothing went seriously wrong for that one except they showed up about 4 hours later than original quoted by dispatch the day before the move. Otherwise, the two gentleman that showed up were great and worked well. Fast forward to now. I booked BLVD moving in April for another in-town move on Saturday 5/27/23. This was a nightmare. To begin, when I originally reached out in April. I called 4 separate times to get a quote and received no answer. I finally got through after about a week of trying. I spoke to a gentleman named Ahmad Maajid-Bey. He set everything up. Quoted me pricing and took my deposit. On Friday, 5/26/23, the day prior to our move, I was supposed to receive a call from BLVD's dispatch to give us our window for the movers arrival the next day. We received no call. I called BLVD that evening and was told that they had me on the schedule for tomorrow but weren't sure what window of time, and that they'd email dispatch to call me first thing in the morning. On the morning of 5/27/23, I woke up at 6 and immediately called dispatch and left a voicemail. I called dispatch every hour for the next 3 hours. I finally called BLVD's general number at about 9:30am and was advised dispatch was probably getting everyone organized in the yard and would call me soon. I called dispatch again about an hour later, and was told my move had been pushed to the following day. I asked why I had never been given any communication when I called Friday, and why no one had called me today. I was given no explanation except that they were trying to find someone to help me today. They said they'd call back soon. I never heard back from BLVD after this. They completely no-showed. I called back on Sunday and was told my move had been scheduled for 5/27/21... not 2023. I asked why I was told Friday that I was on the schedule. Again, no answer. The bottom line is this. BLVD is cheap. At no point did anyone apologize for not showing up. I had one decent experience with them and then one absolutely awful experience. Use them at your own risk. read more

I'm sad to say that I've done a lot of research about moving companies and tried to avoid falling into their "traps" but this company found every way possible to make the already stressful process of moving even worst. We had sent them photos of our furniture prior to moving, to make sure they won't change the price on us (which seems to be a trick moving companies do!) However, on the day they showed up to pick up our furniture, they claimed there is "not enough square feet claimed on the order" for our furniture. I explained we sent photos and measurements ahead of time? but the guy on site said the salesperson on the phone didn't add enough space (not my problem as the customer!!) but a way for them to try and extort more money- Our quote went from $4k to over $7k... somehow. $3000 difference! We were told they would bring all the packing materials, at no extra charge, all the sudden they said they need to pack our TV and certain furniture and it will be additional $75 a piece!!! I asked why this was not communicated before? since we sent pictures, but of course they had no good answer (bait and switch tactic at its finest). Dishonestly and lack of transparency. After hours of arguing on the phone with their office, being hung up by their rude staff (Robert), we finally told them to kindly leave and that we were going to order a pod. We were not willing to all the sudden add extra $3k when they knew exactly what we had ahead of time. On their way out - their boss called and said he will "honor the original price". Ghee thanks! After SO MUCH ARGUING and hours wasted at that point. They originally said delivery normally would take 5-7 days to arrive. Turns out- it's 21 days from the date you're available to accept the furniture. This was not communicated to us- they made it sound like 21 days is a rare situation- we ended up being without our stuff for 20 business days. Terrible, misleading communication on their end. AFTER 20 DAYS, when they finally were willing to deliver our stuff- They sent only one person (to deliver a 3 bedroom house)!!! and an older gentleman who was the driver. It was like watching your grandpa carrying heavy furniture, truly sad, didn't make sense and shouldn't have happened. Another example of their lack of professionalism, and absurdity. Furthermore, they showed up to our residential neighborhood with a huge SEMI!!! We have a regular size street, and a very big and wide yard and driveway, however they blamed our street and our driveway and said they now have to charge us extra because their truck (a SEMITRAILER!!!) can't make the turn into our driveway!!! Another way to extort money!! Who in their right mind with best intentions tries to deliver with a semitrailer to a residential neighbourhood!!!?!?! They lacked the ability to deliver, because they were too cheap to get the actual truck needed to make deliveries - and they blame it on the customer. The delivery guy tried convincing me that if I give him $200 he will carry all the stuff from the street up our driveway.. but his price kept changing.. it was like a HOSTAGE SITUATION negotiating the delivery of our furniture after we already paid good money for it. They ended up going to a local Uhaul to rent a truck that they can move all our stuff into and drive into the driveway.... talking about frustration and inefficiency... they tried lying and telling us the Uhaul will cost $250, then $300, when I called Uhaul it was only $75... lying thieves. Furthermore, the delivery guy and older driver were hungry!! They were asking me for food!!! I felt so bad for them, clearly this company wasn't treating them well. It was sad. The service we paid for initially said they are suppose to deliver the furniture to the designated rooms, put them back together if it was taken apart, and take out any packing trash left behind. It was already late and the guy by himself was miserable and clearly couldn't have gotten it all done by himself till midnight! so we told him to leave. We were now stuck with carrying it out ourselves and cleaning all the boxes and packing trash left behind.. MOST OF OUR FURNITURE WAS BROKEN!!!! Their moving blankets stained our white headboard, they BROKE BOTH bedroom nightstands, CRACKED our end table, cracked an end table, COMPLETELY BROKE our wardrobe, damaged our bench, and more.. THE WHOLE PROCESS FROM START TO FINISH WAS A NIGHTMARE!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY!!! We are so disheartened that we paid $7,000 for broken furniture that we now have to replace (and waited 20 days for!!!). The stress they caused us alone isn't worth it. VERY DISAPPOINTING. This was my 12th move using a professional mover and it was a nightmare. First they changed the pickup day at the last minute (Tuesday from Wednesday). They said delivery would be Wednesday between 1 and 4. They didn't show up. Next day it was the same story. Finally on Friday at 6:30 a.m. I got a call that they would be here between 8 and 11:00 a.m. At 6:45 a.m. I received a call that they had arrived and were ready to unload. The delivery driver had not been informed that I had paid for a second delivery location. My antique tea cart had all of the legs broken off and couldn't be repaired. My 9 drawer dresser had one leg broken off, and it had been twisted so badly that the trim came off and two drawers won't close. I recommend that you use anybody but this company. The employees were very frustrated that they weren't kept in the loop and didn't know what was going on. read more

ABOSOLUTELY the WORST! Bate and switch pricing from $1800 to $2400 to $3300, held my belongings hostage until I paid it. It took over a month for them to schedule and deliver my belongings. Dishes and things broken. They "LOST"/ stole my big screen TV and my sons box of all his X box games, then tried to offer me $149 for the $3000 worth of belongings saying insurance was not included. They know they have you backed in a corner and take full advantage of that. The office also stopped taking my calls and would not return them when they didn't want to deliver my belongings. If I could give Blvd Moving 21622 Plummer St. CHatsworth a negative rating I would. I called them because the estate sale company I bought from referred me to them for same day serive. I clld and spoke to Ahmad Maajid -Bey and he said they would not be able to do same day (Sunday) but assured me that the following day on Monday would not be a problem. I agreed because the estate sale companie's last sale day was on Monday and all items had to be removed by 3:00 pm. Ahmad had me give him a $ 100.00 deposit and electronicallly sign a contract. On Monday I had to call him first thing in the am. to ask for the time frame because it need to be picked up well before 3 pm and delivered to the location by 5 pm. He called back two hours later to say they would not be able to pick and deliver on Monday but it would need to be scheduled for Tuesday because they had two big homes they were moving and could not spare a drive and mover. I reminded him that I went with them because I needed same day service but agreed to Monday per his suggestion and Tuesday would not work because the estate sale company's last day was Monday and the store I needed it delivered to was closed on Tuesdays. He said he would see what could be done. I texted him and said I needed the piece removed by 3 Pm and if they could hold it and deliver it during the week or on the weekend bue he never responded. He finally called back and said he just got off the phone with his dispatcher and that they would be calling me with a timeframe...this was at 11:45 am. at 1 pm I called Ahmed and said I had not heard from the dispatcher. at 2: 10 pm the dispatcher clld to say they would leave me as the last stop after 5 pm. I said that would not work, they close at 3pm where the item needed to be picked up from and they were going to force me to cancel and look elsewhere at the last minute. The dispatcher was quick to cancel and said they would reimburse my deposit. They have NEVER reimbursed me and no longre respond to texts or return phone messages. Beware DO NOT use this company. But what would be helpful are specific scenarios, so everyone can AVOID this company. First of all, Zoe from dispatch hung up on me several times as I was trying to A) provide them with my earliest receipt date B) get an understanding as to how to access my stored goods, as I was guaranteed Second, the quote that I was given ($3000) was pretty competitive for a 1100 sqft one story house, to move from LA to San Jose... Well I was duped, on the day of the move, the quote ended up being $6600, SURPRISE SURPRISE.. It was too late to turn the movers away, we were almost 100% packed up at that point, and had a real estate agent staging the home the next day, and we needed to get out. Third, dispatch didn't give me any timeframe nor window as to when my things would be delivered, but they reassured me that they'd call me back. I didn't hear from them for a week, and didn't get any call backs. I didn't have to wait 22 days like other people, but the movers didn't give us any heads up, and arrived on a Sunday. Finally, the last part was that the movers LOST the parts of my bed so I've been sleeping on my mattress on the floor, broke my clock and mugs.. And their claims department's voicemail is full.. 7 in 10 success rate! 7 pieces of furniture out of every 10 will be delivered relatively safe (some minor damage), and still in working condition. 3 pieces of furniture will be damaged and rendered useless, and you will need to them throw out. But don't hope for any resolution for anything damaged, going with BLVD means you will be out of luck! In late-June 2021, I used BLVD to move from San Jose to Los Angeles. The crew picking the furniture in San Jose were fine, efficient and careful. The crew of three dropping off the furniture were OK, one of the guys was quite lazy and only half-heartedly put the furniture back together. The guys took note of the damaged furniture on their delivery sheets, but refused to provide a copy of their note, nor let me take a photo of the notes they took. I only have photos of the damaged furniture. Anyway, the biggest concern is when you email or call to report damaged furniture and seek some resolution. Here's the process: · You need to submit a claim form · BLVD will not email you that claim form until you speak to someone from "Claims" · You cannot email "Claims" · You must call "Claims" but there is literally no number, you must call the main office and they transfer you · Whenever you are transferred, no one in "Claims" ever answers the phone · When I ask the people from the main office on how to resolve damaged furniture, they take no responsibility and merely transfer you to the "Claims" · Again, no one ever answers the phone at "Claims" and goes to voicemail · Voicemail at "Claims" is full and cannot take another message After calling BLVD in early July, I was told that Claims was likely on vacation for July 4 for two weeks, but will get back to me. Of course, no response two weeks so I called back mid-July. Again, no contact is made with "Claims". Eventually, someone from the main office said they emailed "Claims" and should take two weeks for someone from "Claims" to respond. So it's been over a month, and it's safe to say I'll never receive a response from "Claims" and I suspect "Claims" doesn't even exist. I talked to Richard Zarr and he is quite the salesman. I was quoted $5,593.75 for a 4 bedroom house and 42 boxes. It ended up cost me $8,000.00 (some change). They forgot 2 cement Bird Baths! ! ! it was on the list. The movers requested a tip on packing and delivering. BLVD Moving delivered my mother's Cedar Chest to Tyler, TX. I was not moving to Tyler, TX. I was going else where. My daughter had to dive 5 hours (round trip) to retrieve the chest. They were going to refund her and she has yet to receive the money and I have YET to receive the refund on the 2 bird baths they were going to send me on May 24, 2023. Our move was in June 2017, and it was such a traumatic experience for the longest time I did not have the mental capacity to write a review for them. The long and the short of it--do not go through this company. We were quoted per pound, they charged us per square footage. Our cost should have been about $4k, and they charged us $9k. My husband and I moved across the country to get married, we were job searching and figuring out a living situation and planning our wedding and this situation with Blvd was an unnecessary stress added to our lives. They were rude on the phone, super last minute. The movers took 9 hours to load up our stuff...for a two bedroom house no basement/no garage. They also didn't take all of our stuff, we had to leave things. They came outside the time window. By the time it was done we were starving, tired, and worn down. That's when we found out we were being charged $9k. $9k. The movers refused to leave until we signed the paperwork agreeing to charge us $9k. When we called we were attacked the entire time. We were literally being blamed for the scorpions...that were outside of our house...in Arizona. It was such a debacle, and the manager we spoke to threatened us. Since we were quoted on weight we wanted to be charged by weight. He eventually agreed (for DOUBLE the original quote, $0.60/lb instead of $0.30/lb) but said that it will cost more and we will have to pay more if it does! Oh, and he required us to drive to each of the weigh ins, so we had to do a few hours of driving on top of everything. Not only that--the boxes were damaged upon delivery. We paid $9k but got $3k back. It should have been $5k back but at that point we just wanted to be done with the whole experience. The amount of stress it caused me was so overwhelming, I stopped sleeping for our whole drive across the country. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. read more

Not only did this company cost me a $2100 deposit when they cancelled the contract with the broker without notifying me, over $3000 in expenses to get a last minute move set up, lost wages from the extra time having to drive cross country and load/unload the truck, and $3500 in extra rent for the additional month that had to be paid so I'd have time to clean up their mistakes, they went above and beyond to take their screw ups to the highest level. They are now spamming me with other customers personal information and sending other customers my personal information. This company will not do anything to fix their errors, this company will screw you over, this company should not be in business. Do yourself a favor and find a legitimate mover rather than this.... Warning: I initially scheduled my move from California to Phoenix with BLVD Moving back in October 2020. I gave them a deposit ($100) and Matt Freeman assured me that it was fully refundable if I decided to go with another option. I was quoted a much better price by Vector Moving. So I called and emailed Matt- (funny how available he is until you want your deposit refunded)- and when he finally responded, he once again reassured me that I would receive my deposit back. 8 months later... still no deposit refunded. (No phone call, email or letter from the company was received; they took no action or attempt to refund or contact me. I visited my bank to verify that the deposit was never refunded.) Upon confirmation that my refund was never received, I reached out once again, left a message, and Matt called back. He said that he is going to send a request to the financial department to get my refund back to me. I guess we will see how long that takes. I will update my review once there's some action. In hindsight, I am extremely grateful I went with another moving company. If it's this hard to get a deposit back without actually utilizing their moving services... I can only imagine the nightmare I dodged. Moving is already stressful enough. Not having the confidence in a company to take care of your belongings is not worth the added stress. I'll keep you updated on the progress... UPDATE: Same day that Matt said he would reach out to the financial office, and they called me back to get my address to send me a check. FRAUD. EXTORTION. TARDY. CON ARTISTS. I've been patiently waiting for 22 days to write this review but I couldn't as they were holding my missing items captive. This is a terrible moving company that delivered my priceless items (my recently deceased mother's possessions) very late. After a tardy delivery date, I got a call from ZOE (an uncompassionate diabolical individual) who informed me that my items would be arriving later that afternoon, but because they can't fit the 18 wheeler truck in San Francisco, I was presented with the ultimatum of either meeting them outside of the city to pick up my furniture OR pay a shuttle fee of $300 to receive my items at the ORIGINAL, ON CONTRACT, negotiated location, my home. I thought this was ridiculous as they knew my location was in San Francisco since the day we signed the moving contract, but they sprung this on me the morning of my delivery. There was zero reasoning with the BLVD's dispatcher, ZOE, who was quick to scream at me the second I calmly argued the shuttle fee. I had no choice but to agree to the fee as I don't have a truck or the help to move a bunch of furniture from outside the city to my home. When the truck arrived I was SHOCKED to see that there was in fact, NO SHUTTLE and that they arrived in a large truck with their company logos all over it (see photos). When I questioned the delivery driver, he was hesitant but confirmed that my items had been on this truck for two days as they had been making several deliveries throughout California with that truck. This was just a last-minute scam to get more money out of a person who was helpless as the company had their possessions. WHAT COULD I DO?!? I decided to give ZOE a call back and have a calm, civil, conversation with her but her attitude went from bad to worse and this sent her temper SOARING! She screamed at me and THREATEND to take and dispose of my deceased mother's belongings if I didn't pay the $300 immediately. The fact that ZOE has a job in customer service is remarkable, but the fact ZOE can say such cruel/hurtful things to someone is astonishing. I have NEVER been talked to the way ZOE talked to me. I was so upset. After paying the petty money, the movers unloaded the truck, and I noticed several things were BROKEN and two boxes were MISSING. One of the broken items was the leg of my mother's favorite antique chair that they DRILLED A HUGE SCREW into to hold it together and try to hide from me (see pictures). The delivery drivers took note of the broken/missing items and informed me I must take it up with customer support. As you can imagine, this would be road to nowhere. By all of my unanswered voice messages/emails, I would be hard pressed to believe that there is a customer support branch at BLVD Moving Company, and that they have any intention of paying to fix my broken items or return the missing ones. I told this story to a friend that happens to live in LA and bless her heart, she volunteered to pick up the missing items from BLVD Moving Company's warehouse. I had to call the company's sales line to get through to someone and after several unreturned calls, I finally got a salesperson to go to the warehouse and bring my missing packages to the office so my friend could pick them up. By now, you should know to avoid this company by all costs and if you get them contracted though United Moving Company like I did, simply let United know that you would prefer they pick a different carrier. I will be reporting Blvd Moving Company to the Better Business Bureau and hope that they someday will pay the consequences for their shady business practices. read more

Since I had already given them my almost $1000 as a deposit they assured me the deposit would be fully returned since I requested it in writing less than 48 hours after giving it to them. I would NEVER USE this company. I have moved 6 times in the past 10 years and this has been hands-down the WORST experience. I have always used small family movers but was moving across the country and thought it would be beneficial to use a "professional" company. Wrong. I found them on a reputable site for moving and they gave me a good quote. As the day of the scheduled move approached, I heard nothing. I called repeatedly in the week approaching the move to figure out when they would be arriving and was told they'd confirm 3 days before. Didn't happen. No one called me to confirm inventory like I'd been told they would. The lading contract they send right before the move makes clear what they don't tell you, and in fact directly contradict on their website: they do not confirm pick up or arrival dates unless you pay an extra $2,000, they DO use subcontractors, you have no right to information about where your stuff is, they put it on one truck for pick up and then take it off and store it for weeks before it moves. I heard less than 24 hours before their arrival window. Then, they didn't show up. The website says they're available 24/7. I called the company for HOURS and could not get one person on the phone. My calls were being hung up on, I had to call from someone else's number to get an answer. The one time I got someone on the phone I was given a personal number to call to make sure everything was on track, that person stopped answering. I left multiple messages, no one called me back that day or the next. I was completely in the dark and honestly wasn't sure I hadn't been scammed. They arrived hours later. To be fair to the SUBCONTRACTORS, they did an excellent job. Then my stuff left. I am past the first date of delivery I specified. I have since called repeatedly to get an update and every single time I'm told they can't get in touch with dispatch, someone will call me back THAT DAY. No one has called me back. They reserve 30 DAYS to deliver and do not tell you that when you book. They tell you that you get 30 days of free storage: what they mean is that without your consent, they will store your stuff instead of putting it in the line of transit. Who is moving, packing up all their belongings, and free to be without their things for 30 days ? The communication of this company is abhorrent. Everyone is trying to put the onus on someone else who you can't speak with. They don't want to admit your stuff is just sitting and not in transit at all. They apparently have no line of communication with dispatch and they'll tell you that you'll hear back that day just to get you off the phone. A moving company that takes possession of people's entire lives should know where your belongings are and be able to report that to you. All this company will do is give you a reasonable quote to get your business and then put you at the back of the line. FIND A COMPANY THAT COMMUNICATES. read more

BLVD moving did my move from New York to California. Most of my items arrived intact but a few were damaged and some even broken completely. The team in New York was only 2 men, who seemed to handle my items rather carelessly. I think if they had more workers things would've been packed properly, but you can only carry a whole dresser by yourself so delicately. I offered to help but they wouldn't let me. I had them hold my belongings in storage for a few weeks and when I was ready to have them delivered to my CA address, it took 2 weeks of everyday consistent phone calls to get any sort of answer about when my items would be delivered. This was the most frustrating part because I was trying to time my move-in date with when I would have my belongings, but they couldn't give me that info. I ended up spending the first week with no furniture or cookware. In the end, I got all my stuff and, like I said, most was intact. For the price, I'd do it again. But if you have more money to spend or highly expensive items, maybe try elsewhere. read more

They were very flexible careful and always willing to help to ensure all items are placed in the right areas of the house in order to reduce the stress of moving furniture around. I highly recommend this company and the team. Only thing they needs to review their acceptance of cashier cheques where I don't see the risk of this to the company. Once you hire BLVD communication will become terrible. Even on the day of delivery nobody would call me back or read an email. But before I hired them they always responded within minutes. At 4:45pm on Fri I still didn't know if BLVD was arriving Sun at 8. I finally got an answer they were coming Mon. At 8 am Sun the driver called to say actually it's today. Whatever quote they give you is worthless. Once the truck is packed- that is when they'll tell you it's going to cost $2,100 more. I told the driver these additional charges were unfair. The driver told me the salesperson can "say whatever he wants" but nothing matters until the truck is packed. The manager told me video walkthroughs are next to useless and in person estimates "aren't much better." BLVD's web site says free "no surprise" quotes. When I got angry about this unfair $2,100 the manager told me "You know, I don't want to say it but - well, you're just being a real - --you know." Please clarify your disgusting, misogynistic insult, Mr. Manager. Am I being a B**** or a C***? We paid BLVD $8,500. I now need to hire movers to move my items to storage. The BLVD crew arrived so late they could not complete the storage stop I had paid for. They just piled everything into our apartment. I fought with the manager on the phone for a refund for the storage stop. He called it "a discount." I fought with the manager hard enough he finally took off half of the $2,100. First problem my salesperson forwarded my email to the "office manager." Day of delivery I tried to get help from the office manager. Later in the day a different manager laughed at the name I had been given saying "that guy works in IT." BLVD said this situation was my fault because I didn't say anything sooner. I told the driver the first moment the $2,100 was added. BLVD ignored my emails, gave me wrong names, didn't accept voicemails, didn't call me back and then said it's my fault. After your useless video walk through BLVD will give you an inventory. On it will be things like "flatscreen TV" when you don't own one. They mean computer monitor. When you box up your computer monitor it's a "change to your inventory." These changes are later called "additional items" and that's how they reach the $2,100 more. They said we had 4 large bookcases. We don't. BLVD claims they will match any quote. In our case BLVD had to drop their quote by about $2,000. Once our stuff was on their truck they increased our move price by $2,100. Our move required parking permits for their truck. I paid $500 for BLVD to tell me a specific delivery date so I could get permits. The manager told me I should have been charged $5,000. The driver shows me a ticking clock and says he only has 2 hours to work. Can I get the permits for tomorrow? I can't. I remind him I paid $150 for a storage stop. He shows me the ticking clock again. This is the same driver who loaded our belongings. We talked about permits and storage that day. He calls his manager. He tells me I need to call. As usual I can't get ahold of anyone. The driver tries again. Finally I'm talking to a manager. I'm angry. I have paid and waited all day and now the manager tells me they might have to come back "sometime next week." I'm angry and the manager says, "You know, I don't want to say it but - well, you're just being a real - --you know." Mr. Manager, please explain to any potential clients who are women - what word completes your sentence? The few calls I got from BLVD came through as "Retro Experts" or "Nurse Consulting." My salesperson wrote "any furniture we take apart we put back together. Guaranteed." Our daughter's bunk bed is a pile of pieces. The manager on the phone told me, "there's only like a 4% margin in moving. There's not much room to make money. We have to account for the truck, the gas, the labor..." This was his lead in as to why I needed to pay $2,100 more - for BLVD to make their money. read more
