When they did show up, they said "nope can't fit your stuff into the truck we have to come back another day with a different truck". 4. Our move was in June 2017, and it was such a traumatic experience for the longest time I did not have the mental capacity to write a review for them. The long and the short of it--do not go through this company. We were quoted per pound, they charged us per square footage. Our cost should have been about $4k, and they charged us $9k. My husband and I moved across the country to get married, we were job searching and figuring out a living situation and planning our wedding and this situation with Blvd was an unnecessary stress added to our lives. They were rude on the phone, super last minute. The movers took 9 hours to load up our stuff...for a two bedroom house no basement/no garage. They also didn't take all of our stuff, we had to leave things. They came outside the time window. By the time it was done we were starving, tired, and worn down. That's when we found out we were being charged $9k. $9k. The movers refused to leave until we signed the paperwork agreeing to charge us $9k. When we called we were attacked the entire time. We were literally being blamed for the scorpions...that were outside of our house...in Arizona. It was such a debacle, and the manager we spoke to threatened us. Since we were quoted on weight we wanted to be charged by weight. He eventually agreed (for DOUBLE the original quote, $0.60/lb instead of $0.30/lb) but said that it will cost more and we will have to pay more if it does! Oh, and he required us to drive to each of the weigh ins, so we had to do a few hours of driving on top of everything. Not only that--the boxes were damaged upon delivery. We paid $9k but got $3k back. It should have been $5k back but at that point we just wanted to be done with the whole experience. Not only did this company cost me a $2100 deposit when they cancelled the contract with the broker without notifying me, over $3000 in expenses to get a last minute move set up, lost wages from the extra time having to drive cross country and load/unload the truck, and $3500 in extra rent for the additional month that had to be paid so I'd have time to clean up their mistakes, they went above and beyond to take their screw ups to the highest level. They are now spamming me with other customers personal information and sending other customers my personal information. Warning: I initially scheduled my move from California to Phoenix with BLVD Moving back in October 2020. I gave them a deposit ($100) and Matt Freeman assured me that it was fully refundable if I decided to go with another option. I was quoted a much better price by Vector Moving. So I called and emailed Matt- (funny how available he is until you want your deposit refunded)- and when he finally responded, he once again reassured me that I would receive my deposit back. 8 months later... still no deposit refunded. (No phone call, email or letter from the company was received; they took no action or attempt to refund or contact me. I visited my bank to verify that the deposit was never refunded.) Upon confirmation that my refund was never received, I reached out once again, left a message, and Matt called back. He said that he is going to send a request to the financial department to get my refund back to me. I guess we will see how long that takes. I will update my review once there's some action. In hindsight, I am extremely grateful I went with another moving company. If it's this hard to get a deposit back without actually utilizing their moving services... I can only imagine the nightmare I dodged. Moving is already stressful enough. Not having the confidence in a company to take care of your belongings is not worth the added stress. I'll keep you updated on the progress... UPDATE: Same day that Matt said he would reach out to the financial office, and they called me back to get my address to send me a check. FRAUD. EXTORTION. TARDY. CON ARTISTS. I've been patiently waiting for 22 days to write this review but I couldn't as they were holding my missing items captive. This is a terrible moving company that delivered my priceless items (my recently deceased mother's possessions) very late. After a tardy delivery date, I got a call from ZOE (an uncompassionate diabolical individual) who informed me that my items would be arriving later that afternoon, but because they can't fit the 18 wheeler truck in San Francisco, I was presented with the ultimatum of either meeting them outside of the city to pick up my furniture OR pay a shuttle fee of $300 to receive my items at the ORIGINAL, ON CONTRACT, negotiated location, my home. I thought this was ridiculous as they knew my location was in San Francisco since the day we signed the moving contract, but they sprung this on me the morning of my delivery. There was zero reasoning with the BLVD's dispatcher, ZOE, who was quick to scream at me the second I calmly argued the shuttle fee. I had no choice but to agree to the fee as I don't have a truck or the help to move a bunch of furniture from outside the city to my home. When the truck arrived I was SHOCKED to see that there was in fact, NO SHUTTLE and that they arrived in a large truck with their company logos all over it (see photos). When I questioned the delivery driver, he was hesitant but confirmed that my items had been on this truck for two days as they had been making several deliveries throughout California with that truck. This was just a last-minute scam to get more money out of a person who was helpless as the company had their possessions. WHAT COULD I DO?!? I decided to give ZOE a call back and have a calm, civil, conversation with her but her attitude went from bad to worse and this sent her temper SOARING! She screamed at me and THREATEND to take and dispose of my deceased mother's belongings if I didn't pay the $300 immediately. The fact that ZOE has a job in customer service is remarkable, but the fact ZOE can say such cruel/hurtful things to someone is astonishing. I have NEVER been talked to the way ZOE talked to me. I was so upset. After paying the petty money, the movers unloaded the truck, and I noticed several things were BROKEN and two boxes were MISSING. One of the broken items was the leg of my mother's favorite antique chair that they DRILLED A HUGE SCREW into to hold it together and try to hide from me (see pictures). The delivery drivers took note of the broken/missing items and informed me I must take it up with customer support. As you can imagine, this would be road to nowhere. By all of my unanswered voice messages/emails, I would be hard pressed to believe that there is a customer support branch at BLVD Moving Company, and that they have any intention of paying to fix my broken items or return the missing ones. I told this story to a friend that happens to live in LA and bless her heart, she volunteered to pick up the missing items from BLVD Moving Company's warehouse. I had to call the company's sales line to get through to someone and after several unreturned calls, I finally got a salesperson to go to the warehouse and bring my missing packages to the office so my friend could pick them up. By now, you should know to avoid this company by all costs and if you get them contracted though United Moving Company like I did, simply let United know that you would prefer they pick a different carrier. I will be reporting Blvd Moving Company to the Better Business Bureau and hope that they someday will pay the consequences for their shady business practices. read more

If I can give these movers 0 stars, I would. I don't even know where to begin as we had a nightmare of an experience. Let's start with being scheduled for our move between 0800-1000, where they were a no-show. When we called, they insisted it was scheduled between 0800-1200 so we waited. At 1200, no updates or calls at all and when we finally got hold of someone, was told the driver was running behind on a previous job and we're now looking at 1400-1430. Ridiculous!! Does this mean they scheduled a job before 0800 and expected to finish before they came to us? When I called, was told that George Andrade, the operations manager of Chatsworth office was literally calling me so they couldn't transfer my call. Guess what? No phone call from George. I then got a text that the driver will now be coming between 1600-1630. At 1615, driver calls my husband that they are on their way and will be at our place in half an hour. From Santa Monica. Really? Of course, they didn't show up till 1700. Only for the truck to break. Mind you, we are moving to a place an hour away on a good day. Driver says they can get another truck which at this point was 1800. So, had we gone thru with the move, we would still have been moving until 0500 the following day. What kind of business is this company running? When I called the following day after finally canceling the move, to ask for an explanation and what they can do for me, he response was "There's two things I can do. First, I can try to see if I can submit a request for a refund". The key word is TRY!!! The 2nd one is they can move me that day if I still needed to move. At this point, I wanted to ask her if she was high. Did she really expect us to use them after the horrendous experience we just had? I told her I would never, never use them and I will tell everyone I know never to use them. These people are unprofessional, didn't offer any apologies, only excuses!!! I talked to Richard Zarr and he is quite the salesman. I was quoted $5,593.75 for a 4 bedroom house and 42 boxes. It ended up cost me $8,000.00 (some change). They forgot 2 cement Bird Baths! ! ! it was on the list. The movers requested a tip on packing and delivering. BLVD Moving delivered my mother's Cedar Chest to Tyler, TX. I was not moving to Tyler, TX. I was going else where. My daughter had to dive 5 hours (round trip) to retrieve the chest. They were going to refund her and she has yet to receive the money and I have YET to receive the refund on the 2 bird baths they were going to send me on May 24, 2023. They were very flexible careful and always willing to help to ensure all items are placed in the right areas of the house in order to reduce the stress of moving furniture around. If I could give Blvd Moving 21622 Plummer St. CHatsworth a negative rating I would. I called them because the estate sale company I bought from referred me to them for same day serive. I clld and spoke to Ahmad Maajid -Bey and he said they would not be able to do same day (Sunday) but assured me that the following day on Monday would not be a problem. I agreed because the estate sale companie's last sale day was on Monday and all items had to be removed by 3:00 pm. Ahmad had me give him a $ 100.00 deposit and electronicallly sign a contract. On Monday I had to call him first thing in the am. to ask for the time frame because it need to be picked up well before 3 pm and delivered to the location by 5 pm. He called back two hours later to say they would not be able to pick and deliver on Monday but it would need to be scheduled for Tuesday because they had two big homes they were moving and could not spare a drive and mover. I reminded him that I went with them because I needed same day service but agreed to Monday per his suggestion and Tuesday would not work because the estate sale company's last day was Monday and the store I needed it delivered to was closed on Tuesdays. He said he would see what could be done. I texted him and said I needed the piece removed by 3 Pm and if they could hold it and deliver it during the week or on the weekend bue he never responded. He finally called back and said he just got off the phone with his dispatcher and that they would be calling me with a timeframe...this was at 11:45 am. at 1 pm I called Ahmed and said I had not heard from the dispatcher. at 2: 10 pm the dispatcher clld to say they would leave me as the last stop after 5 pm. I said that would not work, they close at 3pm where the item needed to be picked up from and they were going to force me to cancel and look elsewhere at the last minute. The dispatcher was quick to cancel and said they would reimburse my deposit. They have NEVER reimbursed me and no longre respond to texts or return phone messages. Beware DO NOT use this company. I would NEVER USE this company. I have moved 6 times in the past 10 years and this has been hands-down the WORST experience. I have always used small family movers but was moving across the country and thought it would be beneficial to use a "professional" company. Wrong. I found them on a reputable site for moving and they gave me a good quote. As the day of the scheduled move approached, I heard nothing. I called repeatedly in the week approaching the move to figure out when they would be arriving and was told they'd confirm 3 days before. Didn't happen. No one called me to confirm inventory like I'd been told they would. The lading contract they send right before the move makes clear what they don't tell you, and in fact directly contradict on their website: they do not confirm pick up or arrival dates unless you pay an extra $2,000, they DO use subcontractors, you have no right to information about where your stuff is, they put it on one truck for pick up and then take it off and store it for weeks before it moves. I heard less than 24 hours before their arrival window. Then, they didn't show up. The website says they're available 24/7. I called the company for HOURS and could not get one person on the phone. My calls were being hung up on, I had to call from someone else's number to get an answer. The one time I got someone on the phone I was given a personal number to call to make sure everything was on track, that person stopped answering. I left multiple messages, no one called me back that day or the next. I was completely in the dark and honestly wasn't sure I hadn't been scammed. They arrived hours later. To be fair to the SUBCONTRACTORS, they did an excellent job. Then my stuff left. I am past the first date of delivery I specified. I have since called repeatedly to get an update and every single time I'm told they can't get in touch with dispatch, someone will call me back THAT DAY. No one has called me back. They reserve 30 DAYS to deliver and do not tell you that when you book. They tell you that you get 30 days of free storage: what they mean is that without your consent, they will store your stuff instead of putting it in the line of transit. Who is moving, packing up all their belongings, and free to be without their things for 30 days ? The communication of this company is abhorrent. Everyone is trying to put the onus on someone else who you can't speak with. They don't want to admit your stuff is just sitting and not in transit at all. They apparently have no line of communication with dispatch and they'll tell you that you'll hear back that day just to get you off the phone. A moving company that takes possession of people's entire lives should know where your belongings are and be able to report that to you. All this company will do is give you a reasonable quote to get your business and then put you at the back of the line. FIND A COMPANY THAT COMMUNICATES. read more

BLVD moving did my move from New York to California. Most of my items arrived intact but a few were damaged and some even broken completely. The team in New York was only 2 men, who seemed to handle my items rather carelessly. I think if they had more workers things would've been packed properly, but you can only carry a whole dresser by yourself so delicately. I offered to help but they wouldn't let me. I had them hold my belongings in storage for a few weeks and when I was ready to have them delivered to my CA address, it took 2 weeks of everyday consistent phone calls to get any sort of answer about when my items would be delivered. This was the most frustrating part because I was trying to time my move-in date with when I would have my belongings, but they couldn't give me that info. I ended up spending the first week with no furniture or cookware. In the end, I got all my stuff and, like I said, most was intact. For the price, I'd do it again. But if you have more money to spend or highly expensive items, maybe try elsewhere. read more

They stole all my personal jewelry from my property while in my house, not part of the move. The company refuses to give names of who was in the house or take any responsibility. In fact, they refuse to speak to me or the police and provide the necessary information. Beware! Brandon-your company has not cooperated with the police will not release the names of the sub contractors who you hired, your driver told the police he does not know the crew names or contact info. You the owner refuse to call me or discuss the matter and your staff has been beyond rude!! The actions of your company is disgusting! read more

Once you hire BLVD communication will become terrible. Even on the day of delivery nobody would call me back or read an email. But before I hired them they always responded within minutes. At 4:45pm on Fri I still didn't know if BLVD was arriving Sun at 8. I finally got an answer they were coming Mon. At 8 am Sun the driver called to say actually it's today. Whatever quote they give you is worthless. Once the truck is packed- that is when they'll tell you it's going to cost $2,100 more. I told the driver these additional charges were unfair. The driver told me the salesperson can "say whatever he wants" but nothing matters until the truck is packed. The manager told me video walkthroughs are next to useless and in person estimates "aren't much better." BLVD's web site says free "no surprise" quotes. When I got angry about this unfair $2,100 the manager told me "You know, I don't want to say it but - well, you're just being a real - --you know." Please clarify your disgusting, misogynistic insult, Mr. Manager. Am I being a B**** or a C***? We paid BLVD $8,500. I now need to hire movers to move my items to storage. The BLVD crew arrived so late they could not complete the storage stop I had paid for. They just piled everything into our apartment. I fought with the manager on the phone for a refund for the storage stop. He called it "a discount." I fought with the manager hard enough he finally took off half of the $2,100. First problem my salesperson forwarded my email to the "office manager." Day of delivery I tried to get help from the office manager. Later in the day a different manager laughed at the name I had been given saying "that guy works in IT." BLVD said this situation was my fault because I didn't say anything sooner. I told the driver the first moment the $2,100 was added. BLVD ignored my emails, gave me wrong names, didn't accept voicemails, didn't call me back and then said it's my fault. After your useless video walk through BLVD will give you an inventory. On it will be things like "flatscreen TV" when you don't own one. They mean computer monitor. When you box up your computer monitor it's a "change to your inventory." These changes are later called "additional items" and that's how they reach the $2,100 more. They said we had 4 large bookcases. We don't. BLVD claims they will match any quote. In our case BLVD had to drop their quote by about $2,000. Once our stuff was on their truck they increased our move price by $2,100. Our move required parking permits for their truck. I paid $500 for BLVD to tell me a specific delivery date so I could get permits. The manager told me I should have been charged $5,000. The driver shows me a ticking clock and says he only has 2 hours to work. Can I get the permits for tomorrow? I can't. I remind him I paid $150 for a storage stop. He shows me the ticking clock again. This is the same driver who loaded our belongings. We talked about permits and storage that day. He calls his manager. He tells me I need to call. As usual I can't get ahold of anyone. The driver tries again. Finally I'm talking to a manager. I'm angry. I have paid and waited all day and now the manager tells me they might have to come back "sometime next week." I'm angry and the manager says, "You know, I don't want to say it but - well, you're just being a real - --you know." Mr. Manager, please explain to any potential clients who are women - what word completes your sentence? The few calls I got from BLVD came through as "Retro Experts" or "Nurse Consulting." My salesperson wrote "any furniture we take apart we put back together. Guaranteed." Our daughter's bunk bed is a pile of pieces. The manager on the phone told me, "there's only like a 4% margin in moving. There's not much room to make money. We have to account for the truck, the gas, the labor..." This was his lead in as to why I needed to pay $2,100 more - for BLVD to make their money. read more

contacting this moving company has been a mistake. although we haven't even gone in agreement to move forward with their estimate of over $19k ($19,000+) they are now harrasing us every week. i've sent them emails to let them know that we've already moved forward with a $6k moving deal as well as on the phone everytime they call to check up even after i've told them not to do it anymore. i recommend to stay away because if they do not earn your business they will constantly try to contact you to ask you if you want their services. even today jonathan from blvd moving called and i had to tell him again to put me on the do not call list. check out the photos i've attached for reference of my review here. read more

An absolute disgrace of a moving company. Do not give them a cent of your money. I do not normally give reviews on websites, but my experience was so reprehensible that I have to warn anyone considering using this company. They appear to be nice during the sales and pickup process, but once your items are in their hands and they have half of the money, they do not care about you and will essentially hold your items hostage. Particularly, their dispatch, delivery drivers, and customer service reps will never respond to you. I can't even begin to name everything that went wrong with this move. I feel could write a novel about this experience. Instead, I'm going to just list everything that went wrong in concise bullet points so that you get the picture. After my pickup, there was ZERO communication from them. No emails, no calls, nothing. I called dispatch 10 days after my pickup, and they said my items were already delivered. I told them this had to be a mistake as I clearly did not have my items yet. Dispatch is completely useless and gives me the phone number of a driver who picks up the phone one out of ten calls. ===== THIS SECTION IS ABOUT FALSE COMMUNICATION. THEY GAVE ME DELIVERY WINDOWS THREE TIMES AND FAILED ALL THREE TIMES I finally get a call from the driver on Friday saying that my items will be delivered Saturday between 9am-11am. I'm waiting in an empty apartment for 3 hours and nobody shows up. I call them multiple times, and they finally pick up the phone around 10:45 am and say their truck is having issues. I continuously call the driver for an update, and he finally gives me a text message at 5:25 pm saying that the truck mechanics are saying it'll take an hour At 7:25 pm they told me that it would be best to deliver tomorrow at 8 am NEXT DAY: Nobody shows up at 8 am. I call the driver, he says he is just getting the keys and will be here in roughly 40 minutes. 9:45 am. Still, nobody has arrived. I call the driver and he says his truck is blocked in or something. At this point, I am under the suspicion that the driver is playing games with me and I call him out on this nonsense. The driver yells at me and hangs up the phone on me (absolutely unacceptable). I told them multiple times to alert me when they are getting close. They finally arrive at 12:00 pm noon exactly. There was no courtesy call that they were even on their way, and I had no idea if they were even going to arrive at this point after all the shenanigans. I was staying a couple of miles away and was literally about to go to lunch with a friend, and they call me that they're here. END OF DELIVERY COMMUNICATION SECTION. BEGINNING OF DELIVERY CATASTROPHES. ===== They charged me $389 after tax and cc fee for a shuttle service because they said my apartment parking lot was too small, even though I'm in Texas and I am more than certain they could of fit the truck with a slight bit of effort. They asked ME to drive them TO AND BACK from the Uhaul store to get rent a U-Haul right after they charged me over 300 bucks. They destroyed one of my shelves, and they didn't even tell me about it until I asked about it. Luckily, it wasn't an expensive shelf, but if I didn't ask, they would have never said a word about it. They didn't even bring tools down with the shuttle, so they had to walk all the way back to their truck to get tools. They refused to assemble these simple shelves, even though they disassembled them during pickup. They assembled my two simple Ikea tables incorrectly, and they gave me attitude when I corrected them. I left my apartment briefly (to get them some water), and then I come back and they're already ready to leave. I get to my room, and the table legs are assembled correctly this time but are missing screws. I know they had all the screws because when they first assembled the legs wrong, they had all the screws. Get this. I kid you not. I FOUND THE MISSING SCREWS IN MY FREEZER AND GARBAGE DISPOSAL. I had to get my apartment maintenance to retrieve the screws in my sink. There is no way they ended up there by accident. These are the exact screws that fit in the table legs. You don't find Ikea metric screws just laying around in your freezer and sink GD. This was a deliberate act by them when I let my guard down by leaving the apartment. They left plastic wrap garbage everywhere and a giant mattress box outside my apartment without taking it to the dumpster. They left a large picture box that was someone else's shipment. Now I have this large box sitting in my apartment, and somebody elsewhere is missing potentially priceless photos/paintings. I'm going to do my best to get in touch with the owner of this picture box. ===== That's about twenty different mistakes they made in this move. You be the judge yourself. Absolutely disgraceful. I am attempting to get some sort of fair compensation for this experience, but as of now have been virtually ignored by this company. read more

Pedro and Chris were fantastic. They arrived promptly and were very helpfu. I would have given five stars except I did not find out about the double miles until they were at my house. Pedro called the office and I heard the manager say there was nothing he could do and that I had signed the estimate and it was stated there and if I wanted to they could leave and head to another move. The problem I have with this is I specifically asked the dispatcher about whether miles were included in my four hours and she said just to the destination. She did not mention that I would be charged to the destination and back to my house hence double miles. I went ahead with the move and looked at my estimate afterwards and it says nothing about double miles. While Pedro and Chris were fantastic I do not recommend this company because of the way I was treated by the office. read more

Horrible experience. Arrived for pickup without providing adequate notice. The drop off window for our move was about 21 days. They were 5 days late, BLVD moving gives you a $30 credit for every day they are late. So there is very little financial incentive for them to adhere to the agreed upon delivery date. Communication with their dispatch was extremely frustrating. When we were able to actually speak with a person they were rude and gave us the run around. Sales guy was no better. He said dispatch would work with us to minimize delivery issues/ reduce wait time. That was a bold face lie. If you decide to use BLVD moving please be aware that your belongings will not arrive until the end of your delivery window or later, communication with dispatch won't be possible, and you may be promised things that aren't operationally possible by their sales team. If you read my experience, you will find that the company has some great employees and deals with the same moving problems that most moving companies likely deal with but their customer service, business services, dispatch services, claims, and complaints departments all began dodging my calls when these problems arose. The sales people were great, easy to work with and communicative. The movers came to pick up my things a month ago and they were great, the foreman was communicative, but one of them accidentally damaged my wall. I told them that I shouldn't have to pay, they agreed, and they said they would call the claims person, send over the pictures, and they would have it fixed in a jiffy. He took pictures and I watched him send them over. This is where complications truly arose. I called the claims and complaints person but they did not answer, so I called customer service. They told me that the claims person was sick and that they would be back on Monday. I was patient and called back on Monday but the claims person was still not in the office, so I tried customer service. Customer service did not answer--customer service has never answered again since. I called every few days attempting to find out what is going on--at this point, I've already had to pay for the wall and they can't even get it fixed anymore. I started calling other numbers at the company, people would answer and say "We'll get you transferred to someone that can help" and nobody would answer, then that extension would begin ignoring my calls. Nobody at the company answers my phone calls anymore. At this point, I thought I would have to speak with the next foreman to see how to get my wall fixed. It was a contractor who did not work for BLVD (very nice) and he was here alone. I had to help him move my own stuff in and as we began to unwrap things, I started noticing scratches and chips on things until finally, we opened my night stand and the shelf just dropped out with the screws all stripped out of the wood. They packed my sheets and my lamp in the same box so my sheets were filled with shattered glass when I pulled them out of the box. The contractor told me to write a note and he said that he would show it to them when they got the paperwork, nobody has contacted me. I have called almost every day since at all times of the day, morning, afternoon, evening--nobody. I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt considering the great price and the convenience that the sales person provided but I spent more money, felt neglected, confused, I have to live with damages, and I have to find a new night stand. DO NOT USE BLVD MOVING! I found Blvd Moving listed on a Forbes article as one of the top moving companies in the country, so I trusted the article and scheduled my move with them. The company has you provide a preferred pick-up date and a back-up pick-up date should extenuating circumstances happen. I was moving from TX to CA and there were major storms that hit TX on my preferred pick-up date, but I was reassured by my dispatcher, Nadia, and my driver, Ivan, that the moving team would be at my house the next day. On my new pick-up I was told by Ivan that he would arrive between 12-5PM, then was told later in the day that it would be closer to 6PM. At 5PM Ivan called me and said that he was coming from a move in Austin that lasted all morning and that because the first client didn't fill out their inventory accurately, the truck Ivan had was packed full of the Austin resident's items and didn't have space for mine. Ivan knew this was the case as early as that afternoon, but failed to call and let me know. He then said he would go to U-Haul and get me the only truck that was left (which was too small to fit all of my items) and be at my house by 7:30PM. At 8PM Ivan called and said that he was still at U-Haul and was waiting for someone who worked there to find him the truck. At this point it was dark, but I needed to move out of my rental. At 9PM Ivan called and said he would not be coming to my house as U-Haul refused to give him a truck due to "an issue with his license". This was truly the worst moving experience I have ever had. Luckily my landlord was forgiving and allowed me to stay in my rental until a new moving company came to help me with my move. They showed up a day later, and 3 hours late that next day. When they showed up at my storage unit they tried to get me to sign a DocuSign with a "Do not exceed" of 10k, promising me it won't get close to that, it's just in case (they have to weigh the items to give an exact price). I got them down to 3k. My original quote was 1650. This is for a 10x10 storage unit, for a 1 br apartment. Suffice to say, that is extremely shady. Their customer service is rude and oblivious to why I might be annoyed by the lateness and weird "do not exceed" business. Was recommended this moving co. by the apartment co. I did their online quote and an hourly rate of 100.00 per hour. On the site, it says to call and the rate the gentlemen gave me was 150.00 per hour. He said he didn't know about the 100.00 rates, wanted my email, and was kind of rude and pushy thereafter. I was nervous about moving on New Years Day and during CoVid but it was smooth and the team practiced all safety precautions so it put my mind at ease. Do NOT use this company if you care about your possessions. I used them to move my belongings from West Hollywood, CA to Sioux Falls, SD and they were terrible. They packed and unpacked my high-end furniture and completely destroyed three pieces. I had a credenza with marble top that they didn't bother to protect and it shattered upon delivery. The also sliced the power cord to my rowing machine, rendering it completely useless. I have reached out to them numerous times to remedy the situation and they told me the best they can offer is $150 and advised me to file a claim with MY insurance company. That hardly seems fair, when their team of "experts" should have been more careful. $150 won't even cover the labor required to rewire the rowing machine, let alone replace the marble top and finish to my credenza, or to replace the mirrored glass on my dresser. I am extremely disappointed in this company. Their customer service is worthless and I will be taking this issue to the BBB and attorney general's office. Shame on you, BLVD Moving. read more

this has been by far the worst experience n moving I do not recommend this company first they quoted me one price then when they picked up my price doubled . I was given a delivery window n which they did not adhere to at all . when my items were delivered they were wet crushed and damaged in which the reply was well I just drive the truck. throughout the whole experience there was zero communication. This company showed up with no text, or prior warning then asked me to pay upfront a higher price than I ever agreed to. I was told I was getting a deal but the movers would remind me that if I went over 3 hours they would just leave all of my belongings where they were and leave. They were very argumentative about budgeting time and would talk over me if I asked them to do specific tasks like even opening a box of boxes. This made me so nervous, I asked to cancel the service because I already had bad experiences with movers like this before who broke doors, wall and furniture trying to do moves they physically were not able to (being under 5'7 and having more muscle than the employed people who arrived to my house yesterday). This was a 1br move with heavy items and furniture that I expressly asked for heavy lifters and was told they could only send 2 people, then told in person they could offer 3 because it was impossible to do and wanted me to pay 11 hours upfront. I tried to resolve things and cut the day in half so they would still get my service for a family business and even offered them coffee and lemonade then all of their items were stolen out of the truck, including boxes of items left in the truck from other movers because they refused to listen to anyone and lock the truck. The owner got on the phone with them and called them 'bro' very pointedly in front of me and said just to ask me to pay or leave. We tried to run my payment card 6 times over their phone and despite me asking him to wait and not to run it, he would keep running it and caused a security issue for my family. They agreed to finally cancel after the items were stolen and I urged him to make a police report and find the video surveillance but he said the cops wouldn't do anything. Now reading all these reviews I understand how negligent and scammy this company is. The quote was way beyond my budget and they refused to help me pack, saying a small packing job would take at least 4 hours. I highly doubt that sending small men with no upper body strength for these heavier moves ever helps anyone involved, yet they said back and forth they could do it but it would be impossible to finish the trip just by themselves. This is a problem with the owner and management. Their very disrespectful attitudes even went so far as to ask me where they should go grab lunch in the area when we hadn't even started the job yet. I don't understand what upside down world would require the customer to ask for approval and help almost begging the movers to be respectful of belongings and be ignored and talked over in Spanish with bad attitudes. I am from a half Spanish speaking family myself and am told how wrong and intentional these behaviors are. I was repeatedly hung up on by an agent who sarcastically was told to hang up on me. Then he said 'so we meet again'. That is a truly awful experience that caused problems for my entire building who tried to help. I have worked as an assistant with companies like this who try to gain favor with the Hispanic community and cause major problems for buildings, businesses and residents by not upholding corporate standards and letting things slide due to discrimination and inappropriate harassment while on the job. I am extremely disappointed and was told once I would receive 50% of my deposit back then told I would lose the whole deposit.... I 100% believe do not work with this company. The false story that this is family run is hook and bait. They were incredibly cruel, hurtful and selfish. I have booked a different service and am so glad I wasn't strongarmmed into a move that I would regret. Now I am not getting a reply by phone, and will have to keep calling about an update. This company could have tried to rectify their problems and instead treats everyone like fast cash. Please do not book with them. So I recently left a review for this company talking about how amazing this company was and how awesome they were on my move date..... I TOTALLY TAKE IT BACK!! My sale associate was Bobby. He was very knowledgeable about what I needed and helped me get started but this man did not answer or call me back at all after we set up the move. I tried to call him about updates to my pick up and drop off plans and I got no response from this man. I had to call different people to get an update about my account. On the day of the move I got excellent movers, Elliot and Marco. They were amazing and they made moving so stress free for me. They came on time and were nice and kind they packed, moved and loaded all my belongings and helped me understand my rates and options. My original quote was about $1500 but I ended up paying $4500. This was because I had more stuff than anticipated to move and pack and I understand that part. The part I did not understand was that the price included delivery and unpacking services. "Full Service" is what was apart of the deal. That did not happen. After my items were picked up I couldn't get anyone to give me a straight answer about when my items would be delivered. At first they said 1 week, then it was 1-2 weeks, but it wasn't delivered until a 3 weeks later ! On the day of delivery, the movers called me before their arrival and said that they were about 10 minutes away and I was at a nail appointment. I had to rush home to meet them but they did not show up until 40 ish minutes after. When they got here they didnt even tell us their names. They just start bringing my belongings out of the truck and into my home. They didn't unpack any boxes, didn't build my belongings, didn't check our electronics like they were suppose to. They just dropped off our items and were like "we're going now because we have another drop off" Like WTF? Would not recommend or use them again unless I only got Elliot and Marco. read more
