Very happy with the service. Rarely I want to add a review. These guys came to WORK! and READY! I thought I was going to have to take some of my staff myself because it needed extra care but these guys came ready to wrap, accommodate well and quickly all of my staff. A huge plus - they were ok with all my requests after moving things into new place I changed my mind about placing furniture and they were happy to help - gosh I don't see that anymore so I'm amazed and happy so I had to ask for their names in case if you want to make sure you want the same service. Just don't do it. They are not worth the trouble, and I would not recommend them to ANYONE. When the movers got there on the day of the move, they told us it would cost us DOUBLE the original price (making claims like: "this desk is not large it's extra large?!!"). So know that the price they give you on the phone and email contract is not set until the movers come. This was never told to us. We ended up getting charged only slightly more than the original price promised to us after ARGUING FOR HOURS over the phone with the office and threatening to use a different service. After arguing and negotiation for hours, finally the movers started signing the formal paperwork with the new price, going through each section. They lied about the insurance coverage options and did not specify the details of it. Then, two of our items (including an expensive desk) arrived broken- because they had tried to dismount it and clearly RIPPED IT APART. Because of the the type of wood, they were accountable for NONE of the damage. The movers lied to us and said we should tip them well for them to help us lower the price- behind the office's back?? This was very sketchy. Overall, they got away with doing a terrible job. You might think you can outsmart their system but it's not worth your time, or monetary losses you may incur. I moved from Fremont, CA to the Portland, OR metro area back in June. Without a doubt the WORST moving experience I have ever had. If it was possible I would give them a ZERO star rating. Here's why: 1. The appraiser/sales rep sent me a "binding contract" offer for BLVD to move my belongings for a little bit over $4200. The movers showed up as promised and everything was fine until it came time to pay the first half. The driver/team lead informed that my belongings exceeded the estimate by 440 cubic feet and that I needed to pony up an additional $2400 to compensate for the difference. I was physically and mentally exhausted from all the preparations, so I grudgingly caved in and paid the additional money. After all it seemed that they had me over a barrel, since I had to be out of the house within three days. 2. I arrived in Oregon on the 11th of June and was ready to receive my furnishings on the 12th as agreed to in the contract. The "binding contract" specified that BLVD was to deliver my belongings no later than June 20th. On the 19th I called the BLVD dispatch office to find out if my stuff would be arriving by tomorrow the 20th. I was given a clerical run around and told someone would call me back. They never did. On the 20th I called again and was informed that my stuff would arrive sometime the following week. I pointed out that the contract I signed had specified delivery no later than the 20th and asked how were they prepared to compensate me for the delay. I was told they would pay $35 per night for each day past the specified delivery window. Who are they kidding...$35 a day for me and my grown son? The only way two people can eat on that is doing the "value menus" at fast food joints. Ridiculous! 3. After several additional phone calls to BLVD I get a call from the delivery driver saying he and his associate will arrive on Friday the 28th (i.e.; eight additional nights beyond the delivery window). He asks me if I think a 53 foot semi trailer rig can get to and from my house without issue. I tell him that I am NOT nor ever have been a big rig truck driver, so I am not qualified to offer an opinion on that. He tells me that he will be arriving around 9 AM on the 28th and ends the call. A little bit after 12 PM the driver and his partner arrive driving a U-Haul rental truck. He informs me that he decided against bringing his rig to the house and would use a shuttle truck instead. I say whatever and they proceed to unload the contents. I soon realize that quite a bit of my stuff is not on the truck and the driver tells me they will have to do a second run. Also, there are about 5 or six containers/open items they unload that do not belong to me, which makes me realize their inventory control is piss poor at best. 4. After finishing the first load they take off and arrive back at my house around 5:30 PM with the rest of my stuff. That's when the driver asks for the 2nd half of the payment and asks me how I intend to pay for the additional $770 for them using a shuttle. My head is about to explode with rage and I angrily say that I was not the one who decided to use a rental truck to shuttle my furnishings. Be that as it may, the driver says I'm on the hook for the charge and they won't unpack the truck until the matter is settled. As a "good faith" gesture the driver drops the charge to $700 and realizing that once again I was over a barrel on the matter I pull out a VISA card since I don't have a cashier's check or $700 cash on me. He takes the card, calls in the info to his dispatcher, and I get a receipt for the $700 PLUS a 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card. The movers finish unloading the truck around 7:30 PM and the driver casually mentions to me that he thought it was very odd that they had taken my belongings to their warehouse in Los Angeles instead of holding them in the Bay Area for transit to Oregon. In other words, if I had not started pitching a bitch about getting my stuff it probably would have stayed in LA for another week or two. 5. The following week I call BLVD to find what needs to be done to file a claim. In fairness almost all of my belongings arrived in good condition. Only a couple of items were the worse for wear. The did manage to lose a 6 foot fiberglass step ladder for which I paid $50 at a sale. (The same ladder currently retails for $75 at Ace Hardware.) By my calculation I should receive $330 compensation ($50 for the ladder and 8 X $35 for eight days outside the delivery window). Long story short, after almost four months of delay I received an email this morning saying that I'm entitled to $149.60 of compensation. This is an absolute joke! After increasing the cost of my move from $4200 to over $7500 and countless delays on their part one would think they would happily kick back $330 to end this matter. Once our stuff got cross country, things were missing and we filed a claim, this is when we found out they have no liability for any of our stuff. Used this company to move from sd to Arizona in September. Had issues with the pricing from the beginning. After i moved in realized i was missing a night stand with valuables in it as well as a $1200 guitar amplifier. When i called and asked about it they said they located the amp in the managers office...that was in October and i have yet to receive my missing items or a check reimbursing me for them. The price on moving day was $3000 more than the quote they gave us. They didn't tell us until the morning of the move. They were supposed to start when they got to our house but because they changed the price, and we weren't happy, they had to call around to all their people and negotiate. Just what we needed as a start to an already stressful day. Finally, some owner had to come out to our house who was rude and condescending, bragging about other jobs they've done and judging items in our house. My girlfriend and I used BLVD moving to move our furniture and some family heirlooms and they "lost" our medicines, a box of undergarments, and family photo albums. They damaged several pieces of furniture and just about every box was crushed, including ones marked fragile. Broken glass was found in multiple places and the boxes looked like they were urinated on. I cant tell if it's because they hate that we are lesbians or not, but the staff was VERY rude and hung up on us so many times. They refuse to admit the damages happened in their care and have offered not even an apology. read more

Sam quoted us at $3k for everything, which was a big lie. Victor, Jack, and co. ended up extorting almost $10k out of us in order to get our possessions back. They hand people an iPad and claim it's just signing that you are present when picking items up, but in actuality they are having you sign forms releasing them of any damages up to $1300 (while refusing to let you read it.) They did more than $5k worth of damage to our items and claimed it was like that when they picked it up. We are also missing several medications, some of which are controlled substances. Finally, they were constantly rude and transphobic to us. Upon further checking of our items they have broken several items labeled fragile, shoving them into boxes and stacking heavier items on top of them. Also should include that they had us help them pack and unpack. The guys packing were constantly making jokes about trans people and Alex (only one guy sent to help unload) kept asking us to assist with putting things away. The whole situation has been so extremely costly that I have been telling everyone I know not to use BLVD moving. read more

Don't use this company! I've been going back and forth with them for almost a year! Their claims department sucks, and will keep giving you the run around! They lost a ton of my things even though I wrote my name and address on all the boxes. I'm a grad student and they lost a bunch of my books, bedding, throw rugs etc. They also damaged some of my furniture. Then had the nerve to offer me $42 to resolve the claim I put in. That didn't even cover the cost of one of my lost books. If you have to move cross country use a more reputable source. Trying to save money with this company will only end up pissing you off when you do finally get your items back from them. read more

I used BLVD Moving in October to move my Mom's things from LA to Tennessee. In the beginning Matt was great to get the business and then when the delivery date came and went he ignored my calls. Delivery was 8-9 days late and a piano leg arrived broken and they never did anything about it. All else arrived ok, and the actual movers were hard-working and respectful, so I decided to give them another chance and I booked with them end of December to do a 2 staged move to Virginia - BAD MOVE. We talked at least 3 times a week to hash out the items that I wanted to send. He sent a binding contract and the move was supposed to start 1/20/22. One day before the move, I am promised things verbally and I asked Matt to put it in writing and he stopped responding to my emails. The movers called to confirm the move for tomorrow and I said that until the contract is finalized in writing, I will not be able to confirm with the movers. Matt finally called me and sent the contract in writing but told me that he would not honor that contract and that it would cost me $3900 extra in order to do the move as originally discussed in December. I said that if he could not honor his word, that I would be unable to work with him or the company and he said "ok" and hung up on me. Over the past 3 weeks, I have been working around the clock at work and up late at night to get my items ready to be moved tomorrow only to be canceled at the last minute because this company does not have ethical standards to honor their word I would NOT recommend BLVD Moving since they do not honor their word or their written contracts, they were late with the first move and broke furniture and did not honor repairing the broken item. There are too many reputable moving companies out there to take a chance on one with a bad proven track record. read more

Hi, I don't normally write yelp reviews for anything, but this one needed to be written. At first I felt comfortable with the saleman coming to my home to do an appraisal. THIS IS A MUST HAVE STEP. Don't listen to company's over the phone. Definitely get on-site appraisal for binding quotes. Anyway, after all was said and done, We agreed on a tight pickup schedule then the company wanted to pick up 24hrs in advance (after being told I'd have 72hr notice). Then at pickup they tried to estimate me at more cubic feet than was already agreed to in the appraisal. They also tried to charge me for odds and ends that I had already got included into the contract. So that took an hour of back and forth between the pick up team and their head quarters to figure out. The crew was great, nice, and did a ton of work -- kudos to them. All said and done everything got packed pretty efficiently which was nice. The mattress was loaded without being boxed, but they said they would get to it. Fastforward a few week for unloading day! An entirely different company (I was promised that the teams would all be BLVD -- so we definitely got shopped out against what I was told) and all-in-all I had damages to my property well over $10k. (MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS GET FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE -- It's required by law and the moving companies never want to offer it but they have to. They'll also try and tell you to use a preferred insurance partner, but not sure if this is entirely legal -- do research. NEVER TAKE BASIC COVERAGE if you have anything expensive. I ended up with the insursance partner). They never boxed the mattress they said they were going to do. Most of my largest furniture items were damage in some what which is pretty disappointing and shows no care was taken with the move. I had some pieces completely destroyed. We also had 3 boxes that never arrived. Again the guy that delivered our stuff was great and a real trooper. All-in-all was a terrible experience for such a high-stress life moment (cross country move) I checked out ton of different moving companies and honestly ever single one of them felt like a giant scam, which is where I give points to BLVD, they were nicer on the sale. The customer support is also great and understanding. Answered a lot of my questions during the process and heard me out. The team failed to meet some of the requirements of our contract and they reimbursed me promptly which was also great. However, the salesperson was selling me on an above average experience. Even added my insurance deductible to the contract as a show of confidence that nothing would break...And for this, I just wanted people to be aware of how the things I was sold just did not match the experience, or the nickle and diming that happened on pick up day where they tried to break my contract multiple times when things were already covered...and I had to fight it. read more

I was quoted $100 dollars an hour on Yelp and a 3 hours minimum, later when I called them the rate changed to $140 and a 4 hour minimum He stated just because the move was at the end of the month? The date I gave on yelp was the same (discrepancy on the quote) I dint bother to hire them after that. I gave them one star rate at first but the manager contacted me after apologizing for the misunderstanding honoring the first quote. While the sales rep was kind and Convincing, what a nightmare the experience was. When the movers showed up, they charged us an additional $5000.00 and because our home recorded the next day, We were stuck. They charged us in the original bid $450.00 to build a crate to ship our Heritage Grandfather Clock, an additional $350.00 to add our Motorcycle to our shipment. BLVD Moving never placed our Grandfather clock in a crate and removed the pendulum, bent it and placed it in a random box. The motorcycle showed up dented and in dismay. There was Rat damage to some of our boxes and many items broken or lost in transit. I called them while the delivery was still being completed, sent pictures to them and the sent me a claim form. After delivery, my husband and I went through everything and found that over 50 boxes of our items did not arrive and our Grandfather Clock and Motorcycle were damaged. We immediatly called them and submitted their claim form, pictures and a list of items missing or damaged. NO RESPONSE. Weeks later we received an email with a $165.00 settlement offer. Really? Not a good experience. They were professional, but when it came to the actual service - bad. My boxes arrived torn, opened, and damaged. The only reason nothing was broken was because I packed it so well. I still don't even know of anything is missing, as several boxes arrived opened and barely re-taped. My couch arrived beat up, as I guess boxes or heavy objects were placed on top, with minor scratches, not tears. The boxes that said fragile on them were thrown and torn. DON'T DO IT! These people, even after a sending a binding contract raised the prices on me and held my stuff hostage until paid.. If that wasn't bad enough, the driver who delivered my stuff screamed at the top of his lungs at me, because I didn't want to pay extra. I told him to stop screaming and it got worse. I eventually and reluctantly paid the extra money and he then got even more mad and threw my large gun safe and tool box off the truck. He didn't have a ramp to get it off. The safe is ruined and the tool box is unusable. They knew when they picked up the safe that it was 600 lbs, but he came with his wife, who could not lift. it so he wanted more money. She got angry too and started to threaten me and acted like she would attack someone, so we had to call the police. I wouldn't trust anything to these people. I complained almost daily to the company, with no resolution. Now I will be hiring a lawyer and reporting them to FMSCA an DOT. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company! They are criminals and scammers. They made my across country move even harder and more stressful than I could imagine. My family was stranded and we had no options because of their inability to give me any notice on timing of my shipment. We had to spend THOUSANDS of dollars for hotels and flights because they can not give you any timeline or they lied on when our stuff was going to arrive. I had a horrible experience with them from the start. Their sales team were dishonest about the process and never called me back when I questioned them. I spoke to a manager eventually who assured me they would take care of my concerns so I decided to stay with them but that was another person from their team being dishonest. I was told my stuff was loaded and on a truck and on its way when it was not. Their dispatch team lied to me the entire time. When I finally questioned management, I was mocked and they spoke extremely unprofessional to me even though I have record of all of this. I was NEVER able to get through to dispatch, it was always a busy signal. Then 2 different managers promised to call me back and they never did. Per their contract, I was supposed to get a 24 hour notice on ETA and I was given 1 hour which is completely unacceptable. Then they expect you to Zelle money 2 DAYS in advance but can not tell you when they will be there. I filed an official complaint through the BBB for breaking their contract and they never responded. When I called about breaking the contract they told me they would see what they can do, and shockingly they never called back. Do not do business with them. Not only will it cost you money, it will bring on more stress than needed. Oh and I have a ton of damaged stuff but its impossible to file a complaint or get them to reimburse. I have used many moving companies in the past however I have never used a company such as this one. From the management to the salesperson they said one thing one day and change the price and add other options they didn't discuss the next day and then on the day of my move mover's didn't even make it. There is a lot of competition in moving and it's worth paying a little more for a move with the certainty your move won't be cancelled last second leaving you in a bind when moving is already stressful enough. Stay away from this company, they're dishonest to the extreme, they give you a "final" cost for your moving after listing over the phone all your items, they expect you to be moving on your last day of your leasing and then the person in charge of the moving tell you that everything has to be in boxes, in my case my original contract was around $3,000.00 and they wanted to add another $2,500.00 more for the reasons I just mentioned. They also tell you that the area you're moving is beyond their area of operation and you're going to have to pay a little bit extra!!!... I have never encounter a most outrageous dishonest organization, they abuse and take advantage of people in need to move a particular day, my time was very flexible and I was able to cancel everything and get a refund. I used Blvd moving to move 1300 miles from Ca to Texas. I packed almost everything with the exception. Of a very special, expensive computer my son built and a 60 in TV. Both items were packed by them. My items were packed in a small truck then moved to the warehouse in LA and unloaded and then loaded onto an eighteen wheeler almost two weeks later. All that loading and unloading and not being careful with the two most delicate items is what probably broke them. The guys that delivered my items did not even carry my boxes upstairs. They left them all in the living room for me to move later. I am mad at myself for not saying anything, but I was just finally glad to have all my stuff after 3 weeks of waiting. When my son plugged in his computer and told me it was not working, I was not happy, but did not put in a claim because it was only $100 to buy a new hard drive. We hired a handy man to put the TV on the wall and since it was so large we did not take it out of the box until he installed it. When he took it out of the box, we realized the cord was not with the TV. I had to buy another cord on Amazon for $7. When I went to turn the TV on I realized they also did not pack the remote for the TV. We finally manually turned it in and it has sound but no picture. Now I plan on doing a claim and I just read their insurance, which is crap. They are only giving .60 cents per pound and for a 60in Samsung LED TV that weighs 58lbs is $34. That is just bull crap. BLVD Moving - Movers Near Me - Chatsworth, California

Just moved across the country and they are unorganized and scamming us. They picked up our furniture in Los Angeles and everything seemed to go well as the movers were nice. My wife paid about half on a credit card and the moving manager who was there "Richard" said that the second half would come out of the credit card just before arrival. He didn't have any "forms" on him so she filled out the information for next payment on a piece of paper that he provided. It's not more than three weeks later and the dispatch driver just called saying he is nearby but doesn't think he can make the turn into our complex. I said there is a lot of room to turn and the parking lot is empty. He said he cannot block cars so it will cost $500 more to come back with a smaller truck. They have these clauses in contract and apparently are using it on purpose to make another $500. The parking lot is empty and easy turn right off the street I ensured but refused to listen. But it gets worse. Now they are saying "Richard" didn't use a proper credit card form as if it's our fault so they need $2500 cash tomorrow or they will not deliver and will charge more for storing. As mentioned my wife made a contract with the guy doesn't matter if it's a piece of loose leaf or their official form a contract is a contract and they won't take the credit card now. In the end, the driver and his employee were very nice and did a good job bringing everything in. The issue is that corporate does not communicate well with the drivers they have. Apparently the driver thought he was charging $1/ square feet but the company charges .78 cents which was on our contract. It took them a day and half to communicate about that so our stuff sat in storage for no reason for two days longer while we waited to hear back and they do not call back. You need to call the company over and over again. Drivers were nice, corporate doesn't communicate and that's the main issue. Edit: I am missing a box. Not possible to give zero stars, but I would if I could. My story is too long, and did not fit on the page. Suffice it to say I was quoted about $6500 for a cross-country move, CA to MA. And, while I admit I added stuff to the move, I packed most of it myself. First they told me my street wasn't wide enough, and they'd have to unload my stuff to another truck, and it would be another $1100. Then, when I got the bill, and they had already loaded my things, it turned out to be $8280. And, that was HALF. Other half due in MA. This was July 20. I asked very nicely if the delivery could be made by August 20, as I was starting a new job. They said, "no problem." Now, I did sign a paper that gave them until the 30th, but, as you will read, written agreements are only valid when they are in this company's favor. I got a call on the 13th, saying my stuff was on route, and would be there in 5 days. When I called on the 18th to inquire about the non-arrival, I received the absolute worst customer service I have ever received in my life, topped only by the second time I called the same woman, who I have dubbed rude lady. The dispatcher told me that my stuff was still in CA. I told her I got a call saying it was on the way. She said, "no you didn't," then hung up on me. When finally I got a second call saying they were coming, they gave me about 8 hours notice. I called rude lady back and asked if I could please pay by cashiers' check. She said yes, but the bill was now $9070. I told her I had SIGNED a contract for $8280. She then said, and I'll never forget it, " you'll pay NINE OH SEVEN OH or we'll take your stuff, put it in storage, not tell you where it is, and deliver it when we feel like it." So, my cousin gave up a day of work, and my girlfriend her last day of vacation to drive an hour and wait for delivery the next day. And they waited, and waited and waited. Finally, the driver called and said "the truck broke down in PA, and we can't be there today, it will be tomorrow." I then insisted that it be on my schedule, in the afternoon, since two people had already given up their time. He said, "if no one is there when we arrive, we'll take your stuff and put it in a storage unit." So, my cousin gave up a second day to be there. He also told me he wanted cash, and I told him he would have to take a cashier's check because that's what rude lady told me. He called rude lady to confirm, and said my cashier's check would be okay. This is pretty shady, to want this much cash........just my opinion. From July until November, my stuff sat in my cousin's basement. When I finally closed on my condo and unpacked, I had several dishes broken, and I was missing a TV. I had two, now I have one. This is the worst company, of any kind, I have ever used, with the worst, and rudest customer service person in the history of recorded time. She should be fired. This company literally stalked me. After one sales guy got really aggressive via text after I told him I went with another company and he kept texting, I blocked the number. Then today, I got another call from another guy from BLVD...told him I went with another company and ended the call. He then proceeded to call me back asking for additional information on why. WHY!!! Because you guys are stalkers!!! I got a shady feeling from the get go on my very first call. And they just solidified my thoughts with the continued stalking. read more

The worst move ever and the most unreliable company as well as very dishonest. Stay away from them and find a real professional company. I was given a quote for 1700 cubic feet, which was accurate. However at the last minute their driver decided that the cubic feet was 2400. I had no choice but to sign and pay only to discover that it was all a scam to get me to pay more. Their contract does state that I will only be billed for the actual cubic feet yet, when my goods were delivered and the new driver noticed that I was being overcharged for 1000 cubic feet, the company would not take my calls and the driver now feared he was going to lose his job because of his honesty with me. The company over charged me more than $7000 and even though their contract states that I will be charged for the actual, the company is no longer taking my calls or returning emails or texts. Now I will need to take this further and even a law suit to get my money back. read more

AWESOME. Can't rave enough about these movers. It was my daughter's first out of state move and she had her concerns; she's 4 and very opinionated... :) The movers were very sweet with her. She felt so comfortable around them that she spent most of her time in the rooms watching them disassemble furniture and wrap everything up. They were very kind. Pick up and drop off was very organized and efficient. I would be happy to use them in the future. My only complaint which I already told someone at BLVD Moving but I don't think it was ever addressed: I had a window that opened vertically instead of side to side. It wouldn't stay open.. so I put a thin round mirror in the window to keep it open. It was an extra mirror that was used for decoration under candelabras at a wedding.... to give you an idea. Anyway, I guess he was trying to open it more and he just let it drop from fully open. Sure, he probably wasn't expecting it to fall but the mirror shattered. Now, I wasn't mad about the mirror breaking. It probably wasn't even worth $5. The point was how he handled the situation. 1) He didn't know I was watching him. 2) He didn't say anything. He just put a shrink wrap roll to hold open the window instead. 3) He didn't clean it up. Again, I have a 4 year old. What if I hadn't witnessed that and told my daughter to stay away? Once they left... I went over there (forgetting what had happened) and got my foot stuck with a shard. It was all over the carpet and window seal. What if that was my daughter? I just thought that was very irresponsible & inconsiderate especially knowing I had a child. But again, my overall experience weighs much heavier than one mistake. read more

My husbands job transferred to Las Vegas and BLVD showed up to move us what a joke this company is the worst ! We are missing things from our move (misplaced or stolen ) our furniture was broken. We got an estimate for damages 1,600 dollars we sent them pictures and and they sent us 67 dollars .. When they arrived at our new home they threw everything in the garage and wanted to leave and sign off I said we hired you to move this into the rooms we needed they tried to say we can only do a few things. Then they wanted a tip we paid 5,700 dollars to move from Los Angeles ?? Horrible go somewhere else !! read more

*** stay away!!!!!*** i am warning you guys!!!! moving is very stressful on its own. do not go with them. do your own research and make sure that you have enough time to work around if you end up having a similar experience to mine to drop them and go with someone else. if i could takeoff that one star i would. the worst moving experience in my whole entire life and i have moved around for over 10+ years now. 1- they were late during pickup 2- unprofessional customer service 3- lies about rates and after packing they will request you to sign a new agreement or otherwise you will pick up your stuff on the side walk so you are left to forcefully pay 4- lies about drop-off time. they verbally had assured me next day or two days but after 3 days i was told to read the contract which had stated up to 10 days however, verbal agreement isn't taken into account after you sign thier agreement. and the furniture was transferred to a different party to complete the delivery. so my furniture was banged up at least 3 times from their truck to their warehouse to this third party shuttle who is also trying to charge me $500. 5- bunch of screws were left at the old place for the furniture to be fully assembled 6- if i could close this business for good and fine them i would do that on a heartbeat. because no one is willing to contact me to make things right. i paid over $4000 and it was a job of $2700. paying for hidden fees at least 4 times. they charged me $700 for less than 29 box!!!! and initially it was agreed on $200 stayyyy awayyy!!!!! read more

I know moving isn't easy and can be costly, so when I called BLVD Moving, and they quoted me a move at $540 - and ensured me that this would be an easy move, I felt confident that moving day was going to go as smoothly as possible. They even contacted me the day before to confirm service...all good signs. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The movers were supposed to come to my husband's and my apartment at 8:00AM. It's 8:30 and no sign of the movers, no call saying that they were going to be late. I had to call dispatch MYSELF to figure out that their driver had called in sick, and they needed to find replacement movers for me. A little heads up would have been nice at that point. So I then found out that the movers wouldn't even be available until the afternoon, pushing our move to 2:30PM and wiping out half the day. The movers arrived from another full job before, so I was their second move of the day. When they looked at our apartment, they said that this was going to be a lot of work and was going to finish at around 10-11PM. Then they quoted us at $1600, not to mention.. the TVs needed to be boxed, lamps also needed to be boxed..all at an uncharge for USING THEIR BOXES. When I spoke to my representative, he knew that I had TVs, and he didn't mention any of this. Multiple times, I asked if there were going to be blankets for the TVs to make sure we didn't need to box them ourselves. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. The movers were troopers though, and they worked hard to get it all done. In the end, they ended up charging me around $1000, so it wasn't as bad as the $1600, but still more than the quoted 540 plus the added stress. Customer service contacted me the next day to ask me what I thought of my move and I expressed my frustrations and thoughts -- in a civil way of course. I followed up a week later, and they promised that they were still working on it. Now it's been about a month and a half since the move, and no response back. The saving grace were the movers, who had a great attitude, but even one of them told my husband -- that had they known this move was going to be as "big" as it was..they would have cancelled the move and saved it for a full day. There's some miscommunication going on and they need to do something about their sales and dispatch teams in order to make sure things like this don't happen, or else they'll end up with lots of broken promises and unhappy customers. Unfortunately, this is a company I will not use again. I would have given them another star, but the fact that I haven't heard back from customer service in a month and a half is simply unacceptable.-- Update...it's now July 13th, and I'm still trying to get a response from them.. no luck. read more
