That may be the case at Knott's, too, but Calico Fry Co. simply does not fall into this category. This is good, man, really good. The menu is small, so if you can find something that you'd like, all the better. All three of us did. The Hunny went all the way with the cowboy chili special, I got the chili fries, and the girl got plain ol' fries. They're not the best fries I've had, but they're good, and the chili has a bold taste that adds lots of flavor. The cheese alternates between melted and not. Yes, the chili is a mess! The price point would be appropriate for outside the park. A note should be made about the drinks. It's the normal offerings. Then I saw that Calico Fry offers Knott's Berry Punch, a drink probably found nowhere else. I paid a dollar more for it. Walter Knott started his fortune merchandising the boysenberry, a huge sweet purple berry. This berry was put into the punch, making for a thirst-quenching punch with just the right amount of tartness. The others had a taste, they liked it too, and the girl bought a concentrate bottle of the stuff to take home with us. Bottom line: if you're at Knott's at eating time, you don't need to leave the park to get good inexpensive food, like you should do at the Mouse Kingdom. Calico Fry is a good authentic western meal that'll fill you up.

They offer a few different variety's of fries of these I've only ever ordered the Chuckwagon Cheese Fries & Cowboy Fries. The Chuckwagon Cheese Fries is a similar concept of what you would find to be the animal fries at in-in out lots of grilled onions a tangy thousand island type dressing with a bit of cheddar sprinkled on top scrumptious! The Cowboy Fries are basically carne asada fries with guacamole sour cream over a bed of fries not the best thing for you but it will fill you up and it's relatively cheap compared to other places inside the park to eat. During the Boysenberry Festival Calico Fry Co was offering up all kinda goodness with the fried alligator, cheese curds, and other various fried concoctions that were infused with boysenberry in some type of way either inside a dipping sauce or in the item itself definitely an awesome selection for park food! They give you a good size portion of fries so this is a great thing to share with your kiddos or your friend. We will be back here at one point for fries or their delicious Boysenberry Punch that's sure to fuel you for your adventures through Knott's! It's nice having all you can eat, it makes the price worth it. Service- 10/10. Classic Disney, they have great service. Everyone is so welcoming, patient, and helpful. Characters- I loooove getting to dine with the characters :) Some of the characters are unique to the restaurant, and you don't typically see them elsewhere in the park. They come around to all tables, so everyone has a chance to meet them and take pictures. Whether you're a kid or an adult, this is such a fun experience! You also get a photo with Minnie Mouse in the beginning. Price- $60 adults. Honestly it's expensive but worth it. It's all you can eat and a fun experience. Great for special occasions!

Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by an extremely rude and unprofessional employee. Every register had a "Mobile Order" sign except for one. To avoid waiting in the wrong line, I approached the only available register and politely asked the employee standing there, a short woman with glasses, whether it was the correct register for regular (non-mobile) orders. Instead of answering a simple yes-or-no question, she pointed away and said, "The line starts over there." I explained that I understood where the line was and only wanted to confirm that the register accepted regular orders before my family waited. Rather than answering, she repeated, "The line starts over there." The interaction became even more frustrating because she repeatedly pointed toward the gentleman standing in line and insisted that the line started there, clearly trying to direct me away from the register instead of answering my question. What she did not realize was that the gentleman she kept pointing to was my husband. After I explained for the third time that I understood where the line started and that the man in line was my husband, her demeanor immediately changed. She appeared visibly irritated and abruptly snapped, "YES, IT IS!" I replied that this was all I had been asking from the beginning. Instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding, she snapped back, "THIS IS WHAT I WAS SAYING!" This entire interaction was unnecessary, hostile, and unprofessional. A simple one-word answer would have resolved the situation in seconds. Instead, a straightforward question was met with repeated dismissiveness, attitude, and frustration. We came to Disneyland to enjoy a magical vacation with our three children, not to be treated with disrespect for asking a basic question. Customer service employees represent the establishment they work for, and this employee's behavior reflected very poorly on Aunt Cass Cafe. Based on this experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this establishment.

I shared this with my mom and it was perfect as a snack when splitting it. The tropical slushy was really delicious, as well. The mobile order system is always a go-to, and we were able to refresh a later arrival window to an earlier window without a problem. We found a table in the covered seating area and took a nice snack break while we caught up on stuff on our phones. It was the perfect little break time with a delicious snack and beverage!

The last time I went I had the bengal beef which comes with the sweet sauce and the Pork Belly skewer which is a mix of asparagus and pork. It was yummy! The bulgogi salad does not contain any bulgogi and is vegetarian. It's refreshing and nice contrast to the meat. You can either wait in the queue to order or you can do mobile ordering. There's also seating to the right of the stand with tables and seats for you to enjoy your bite!
