I would recommend a new cook at this particular Bob Evans. The add. Way too much salt to any and all potatoes. Me and my mother went there as we typically do. And for the last two times we have gone our food has been disappointing. I would like to say disgusting. I actually came straight home and got sick on it. I told my mom. Our experience at this location was not good. We were told the wait to be seated was 15-20 minutes and had to wait significantly longer while every person who came in after us got seated before us. When we finally got seated, no server ever came to the table. When we got up to ask someone, we were told the server didn't know we were there. We had to get our own silverware and had to ask for coffee cream 3 times. (By then the coffee was cold) Our food did come out quickly after all that and it was good. If this was my first time at Bob Evan's, I would never go back. Service was slow, I believe the waitress may have been new, and unsupervised. We were the first of only three customers. Had a breakfast, the big egg. The eggs were good, and warm. The ham and hash browns were not hot, especially waiting the extra time for the food to come out. The hash browns could not be cut with my knife. The pot roast sandwich actually looked like it was thrown on the plate with more cheese than meat. Love Bob Evan's! Their pancakes are probably my favorite on the menu. Leaves a yummy after taste! Pumpkin pie is delicious! Last time I was there, I had the Grilled-to-Perfection Chicken. My whole family even enjoyed all their meals. The only complaint I can say about Bob Evan's is that it seems like every time I go there, the floors are always messy and it takes the staff awhile to clean the mess up. Oh my goodness I cannot remember ever waiting over 1 hour for a food order in a restaurant that was only at a quarter capacity when we walked in. There seems to be plenty of wait staff here so not sure what issue is - kitchen??? Food was hot upon delivery to table but my husbands Turkey dressing and mashed potatoes cooled down super fast after about 3rd bite. My BLT was soggy on the bottom and crusty / greasy on top - bacon barely cooked it was so chewy I took half or more off. Onion rings were very good though! We had been here a while back after seeing a post about how much better and quick service was - came in then and it was better and quick, so not quick this time. Came here on a weekday afternoon, while waiting for my car to be worked on. It's a pretty typical Bob Evans: always a bit busy, always a bit slow. My waitress was fine, and checked up on me often, but the wait to be seated and for food to come out was a bit long. Still, I was out in less than an hour. I had the country biscuit breakfast: a biscuit with sausage gravy, plus an egg and hash browns (my choices.) I added bacon. Bob Evans is known for sausage, and biscuits, and these were very good. The hash browns weren't bad, and the bacon was solidly middle of the road- not super fatty. Prices are a little high for what you get. The atmosphere is down-home, and nice enough when it's not crazed during a rush. read more

My wife ordered food on the online app to be picked up at 5:50 pm today(8/24/24)paying 45.39 for the meals and added 10% to the credit card payment for a tip. I walked in at 5:51 pm and there was NO food ready for pickup. I asked some woman who walked up to me if the to go orders were all filled and she said that there is no to go orders. I told her my wife ordered online,paid and was to be ready at 5:50 pm. She had to ID badge to let me even know if she worked there. Another lady (ass. manager ID) came up and and stated they did NOT get any online orders. I told her she was incorrect and she told me she remembers me being there BEFORE where I lied and said I placed an order when I had not. We only have ever dined in, never ordered online. ANOTHER lady came from the back and handed her the order we placed 45 minutes earlier. She looked at me and said I will refund your money but I will not serve you...We are retired and have eaten there at least once a week for years. NOT EVER AGAIN!!! This was the worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. Upon coming in to the restaurant nobody was there to greet us we waited @ least 5 minutes for someone to greet us and put our name on the list. The gentleman told us it would be a twenty minute wait. It ended up being a forty five minute wait. As we are being seated my husband asked if we could have a booth, the fella said none are clean. My husband looks around and noticed that they had a bunch of tables open they just weren't clean. I don't believe that this is all bc of COVID-19. I am always on a look out for different things to try. The food here was excellent and each and every food that you keep in your mouth is different and tasty. The staff was really good and served us well on time. The one thing i liked was my iced Lemon Tea. In my entire life this is the best Iced lemon tea i have tasted. She was quick on everything we ordered food came out great I got the three course meal salad potatoe crusted flounder and a cookie desert(but ended up giving the desert to the family across the way) to full to eat it oh peach tea are wonderful it was hott but served cold amazing fresh. I get the service is hit or miss. But this time it was a hit and I will be returning to this location. Well, I mean, it is a Bob Evans and they are kind of all the same. Overall the experience was fine. Came on a Sunday morning for breakfast with the whole family. The server was actually (surprisingly) really good. The food came out properly cooked and hot. According to grandma, who comes here weekly, this isn't usually the case. No complaints on the day I went though. It is affordable, and you can save more by bringing coupons. Seems to get quite busy later in the morning on a weekend so plan accordingly. read more

Service was slow, we should have left when we walked in (at 11:15 am ) and a group of employees behind the counter wouldn't even look our way, the "hostess" acted put out because she had to seat us and then we had to ask her to clean the seats which had food and water on them. Had a nasty interaction with a manager named Nicki Stahl on 11/25/2022 at 12:45pm, we had ordered a thanksgiving feast and only received half the order. I called about the issue and was placed on hold while someone got the manager for me. After explaining the issue to the manager she expressed that I needed to return to the store to get the rest of the meal. I stayed that this would put me an hour behind my plans and that I could return the items I received but that I'd rather it just be refunded to the original payment method. She pushed me to return and get the rest of the meal and I resisted saying I really did not have the time because my family members were leaving town. She cut me off mid sentence and said "fine it'll get refunded just keep what you have and have a grand day" before hanging up on me. Her tone was short and snarky the entire conversation. This was incredibly disappointing and really put a bad taste in my mouth about this location. This nasty snarky person should not be in management anywhere with her poor attitude and customer service skills. Today was a limited menu and we have done Bob Evans Thanksgiving before, so it was a no Brainer to go there today. Boy were we wrong! The waitress was as ditzy as they come, forgetting simple orders and running rampant around the place. We both ordered the same meal. It took way to long to get our drinks, horrible tasting rolls and our meals. Waitress brought our plates out to use 4x!!! Two times they weren't ours and 2x brought us cold food. I saw the waitress (Laura) give our plates to another table. Plus our meals looked like slop thrown on our plates. Dh got 1 slice of turkey and I got 5, same thing for the ham ad I got 2 slices and he once again got 1. Not to mention, sides that were from the day before! The only decent food we got was the coleslaw and banana bread, which was sliced funky and was crusty tasting. We weren't the only ones that were very unhappy either. Several people complained as we were standing up to go pay. The hostess didn't ask how our meals were either, which I felt that was quite odd. We expected more from Bob Evans. read more

I am a fan of Bob Evans but the Marysville OH location is simply awful. We order a lot of carry-out and it used to be pretty good. However in the last 6 months it's gone downhill. They either get the order wrong or leave something out. And it's a crapshoot as to whether the food will be good. I ordered curbside delivery. They set the completion time, I arrive and pick it up. Should be easy but it's not. I arrive at my scheduled time(6:19) I call and let them know I'm there and provide make/ color of vehicle. They say they will bring it right out as soon as it's ready. I waited 20 minutes and then called again. Second call the automated system finally kicks in and I waited with no answer. Now I'm at 35 minutes and trying to call again. The same young man picks up, I give my info and advise I have been waiting 40 minutes now for curbside. The young man tells me "ahh yes this has been ready I'll bring it right out. " I was parked right next to this area and you could clearly see the employees and the line of customers wait. I don't know if it's poor staffing, terrible organization or lack of care. I was not rude to the employee when he came out I even thanked him and left. Needless to say the food was cold. There were missing items and the special instructions were ignored. I grew up on home cooked meals and Bob Evans comes close, so I like to treat my family to it occasionally. I will not be Ordering or going there any more.
