Bob the Plumber to the rescue! I had a clogged toilet last November and spent a lot of money trying to fix it myself. Bought an auger, a special plunger, chemicals....nothing worked. Finally called Bob. He had somewhere to go that day but he fit me in early in the morning. He and his wife came in, fixed the problem within minutes, and even cleaned my toilet. I wish I had just called them in the first place and saved myself the time and money. He charged 85 bucks, which is super worth it for me. I had a recent issue again and called Bob right away. Unfortunately, this time the problem was bigger than he could fix. So he only charged $20 for coming in....which we again found more than reasonable. He told us exactly what was wrong and what kind of service to look for. Bob has done many smaller jobs for us over the years (ex. fix leaks, unclog toilets), and recently I decided to replace all three toilets in the house. I got 5 other estimates for the job through Yelp, then remembered that I hadn't called Bob to get a quote from him. His quote was best; he and his wife and came quickly to do the job; and they knocked it out the whole job in less than 2 hours (and hauled away the old toilets). It was 8 years ago, but I'm still upset. I hired Bob to put in a water filter system in my garage. He had to put a pipe through the wall from the outside. I sent a request to four or five plumbers over the weekend due to a leaking shower cartridge. I wanted to get it fixed, but didn't want to pay a huge premium for weekend work. A previous local plumber I've used (and like) wanted a major premium to come out on a weekend. Bob was quick to respond and came out within an hour. He quoted a reasonable rate and stuck to it. He didn't complain when the screw to remove the handle was stripped and just handled it, only adding $10 to the bill to cover the replacement handle. I needed a new shut off valve under my kitchen sink. I am a DIYer and just couldn't get it off. I finally called Bob after reading reviews. The plumbing was so tight and the hole cut into the cabinet so small that the only possible fix was to repair the old valve. Bob was able to remake the entire valve. Great work! Terribly disappointed after so many reviews. Bob and Wife the plumbers. Hmmm I have never seen a plumber show up with his wife, she just held the flashlight and gots tools for Bob. I just needed a re-adjustment and fitting added to a garbage disposal, not installed correctly. Bob said, that won't cost you anything to be adjusted. Well after 20 min of readjustment, Bob and Wife charged $90 for a garbage disposal that was already installed! No, I do not recommend Bob and Wife. Bob is a terrible rip off! read more

Wow. I don't remember the last time a called a plumber and didn't bang my head on the door after closing it. Bob is awesome. Backstory: I first got a reference from my sister for her plumber. When he heard that I lived in a high rise downtown he was relatively snarky about it. As he was hemming and hawing about what a pain in his butt it is to park in my neighborhood (YAWN! yes, that was his reason for passing up the job), I remembered he had also passed on a previous job because he didn't like the make of my refrigerator. I'll make sure to consider him the next time I'm appliance shopping. So I Yelp'd a new plumber and thought the reviews of Bob sounded great. He returned my call- on a HOLIDAY evening, no less. And he made himself immediately available the next morning. My sink, which had ruined my weekend, was fixed a mere $75 later. He also fixed the hot water on my kitchen sink, which I hadn't noticed was a problem. For $75 total. That's right, folks, DOUBLE DIGITS. As I handed him the check I knew I'd go running to my computer to spread the word, and here I am. I know, I can't believe I'm so excited either. Friendly, fast, responsive, economical. I have used Bob a couple times in the last few years. He changed our water pressure regulator and helped with a couple other plumbing issues at the time. He returned just today to check on an issue. I thought it was going to be my water pressure again. He checked the pressure, made a couple adjustments, and then said that everything is fine for now. Who does that? And to top it off, he didn't even charge me this visit. I don't know if that's his protocol or if that is something you can expect him to do, but that is pretty much unheard of for me. I kind of feel bad just letting him go without paying him. Bob the plumber is awesome!! After purchasing my new home I had some issues with the cold water in my showers because of some new fandagled fancy faucets I had. I told my Uncle Manny about my troubles and he refered me to Bob the Plumber! I called Bob and after explaining what was going on with my showers over the phone he knew exactly what the problem was. Bob came out the next day and was in and out of my house in about 30 minutes and got the showers fixed!! Bob is a really nice guy and his wife is his assistant. Wow! I can't believe what great service I just got! I noticed yesterday that my toilet wasnt flushing quite right. It would flush, but it would go eeriely silent right after and would eventually fill back up with water to be usable again...but this was a very unsettling prospect. I knew I had to call a plumber. So, this morning, I look on Yelp and found glowing reviews for Bob the Plumber! I call him up about a quarter past 8, and he tells me he can be there around noon, giving me an estimate of $105. He guesses that calcium build-up is the problem here. I then get a call back from him at 9 saying he can be here in 20 minutes! Wow! When he arrives, (right on time), he diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in under half an hour! And it only cost $85! Called Bob who was very nice on the phone, after buying my gas dryer for my home. He called me the morning of the appt and let me know he wanted to know if he could come by earlier then scheduled! Of course I said yes and about 10 minutes later Bob was there. I get nervous when I need a plumber. Too many times the scale of the problem and the price of the work seem out of alignment! Not so with Bob. Bob showed up a few minutes early to fix my clogged kitchen drain. In 10 to 15 minutes he fixed the problem (a kinked sewer auger/snake) I took four to five hours to create. He then cleared the clogged drain, put in some new traps and connectors, tested the results, cleaned up, and gave us a tremendous preventative maintenance tip to keep the kitchen drain cleared. I had the unfortunate event of my water heater bursting on a Sunday morning. I had used Bob before so he was first on my list of plumbers to call. I called an left a message for him and withing 5 minutes I had a call back. Bob came in to snake the tub however wasn't able to successfully drain it due to it being a bigger issue so he only charged $20 for travel and labor which was very reasonable. I also had a wall heated that I was scare was leaking, bob made it clear from the outset that heaters are not his speciality but he ended up curing the gas to the heated anyway.
