First time having the sandwiches from here. Grilled chicken was great - not too big or small. The honey milk rice tea was great. Boba was a little more squishy than I like but it wasn't overly sweet for the 25% sugar level.

Yummy Banh Mi! Crunchy baguettes and good bread to meat ratio! They have some seating and they also serve boba! Boba was refreshing and the tapioca pearls were good.

summer sunset tea & Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi (Vegan)

I came to Oakland to deal with some tax issues in the afternoon and attend a Yelp event in the evening. I had not yet had a meal, so I decided to stop by here to grab a bite before the event, since I knew only light bites were being served. I used the in-store kiosk to place an order for the summer sunset tea (added boba) and lemongrass tofu banh mi. Upon taking my first sip of tea, I was surprised it had zero flavor. I stirred it some more, thinking it just wasn't mixed well but still nothing. At best it tasted like colored water with sugary toppings. I asked the bobarista if he'd mind remaking it. He kindly agree to redo it. On the second round, it came out looking way more vibrant, leading me to believe that perhaps an ingredient was omitted the first time. At any rate, I was happy they fixed my drink. Moving on to the sandwich, I found it incredibly hard to stomach, literally, as the bread was as dry as croutons. I picked at it but mostly ate just the filling. Honestly, I don't think this location is as good as the Chinatown location which closed and also not anywhere close to the same as Binge Coffee House in Berkeley. The best I can say about this place is that the staff are friendly and accommodating, but the drinks and food could use improvement.

A surprisingly good banh mi and Viet coffee spot located in Oakland. The Banh mi was super fresh with a crispy baguette and well-balanced fillings (Grilled Pork was delicious, and I love it with pepper, picked vegetables and cilantro). The egg coffee has a rich creamy flavor. I recommend getting it less sweet. Definitely worth trying if you want something fresh and different :)

Ordered through doordash, got it really fast! The matcha tasted more so like oreos & milk and pretty sweet if you're into that. Idk why but the white part of the oreo now tastes pretty artificial now. Not blaming the drink, just in general i think it messed up the flavor of the matcha drink. I'll most likely opt for no oreos next time. The Thai tea tornando just tasted like regular thai tea nothing crazy i thought it was going to be more chunky in the middle but it was only spreaded on the cup same as the matcha tornado. I'll try other drinks and the food options next time!

Boba and popcorn chicken... I see why it's called Boba Binge. This review is based on a third party delivery order. The popcorn chicken was honestly some of the best I've had. Super crunchy on the outside while still juicy and well marinated inside. The pieces weren't tiny or all breading either, there were actual chunks of chicken. They also add basil which made it really aromatic and elevated the whole thing. It came with a sriracha style sauce on the side which added a nice kick. I also got the watermelon tea and it was super refreshing with real watermelon pulp. It still had a light tea flavor which balanced it out really well. I obviously won't be able to come here often since I don't live in SF, but next time I'm back, I'm definitely making an in person visit.

    Sesame Matcha Latte (Seasonal)

This business has been across the street from where I work, made a few visits and visited other boba places. Flavors are good, I ordered a Sesame Matcha Latte, a seasonal drink. A black layer of seasme on the bottom. The paste is so thick it does not blend. So you gotta dip the straw in the deep end to get the sesame flavor. Ordered a strawberry milk tea for my co-worker, and for myself ordered a Strawberry Matche Latte which was great. Ordering is easy, order online and you have all the options before you. I normally choose oat milk and less sugar. I opted for 50% and it was fine. You can also adjust the ice. There is a bench to sit at but most take this to go. Lots of turn over of people passing through. In the future I will have to try the snacks.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place during a grocery shopping trip to Oakland's Chinatown. This place has fantastic Vietnamese sandwiches! (banh mi). I got a combo sandwich and got a grilled pork sandwich for hubby. Both sandwiches were fantastic - very fresh, the pickled daikon and carrots had just the right amount of crunch and sweet-and-sour tangyness and they were sizable too. I think it will be my go-to place for banh mi whenever I am in the area. I also got a ceremonial Matcha tea drink with aloe vera added which was deliciously refreshing. The place is very clean with helpful young employees working like busy bees. It is very high-tech where you can order off a kiosk and I appreciate the fact that you can personally customize everything, for instance I had extra daikon, carrots and cilantro put in my sandwich for a small up charge and you can also specify whether to cut the sandwich in half or not! (for free). All these little details make it a nice experience that you get exactly what you would like. And the banh mi was so delicious!

Can't speak to ambiance or service since I ordered delivery online. Was fast door dash delivery. The spicy popcorn chicken lacked seasoning. The rose green tea was good.

Came here with some friends and wowowow, I'll be back! I enjoyed the smoothest uji matcha latte of my life. This place is like grab and go style, and the menu boasts a wide variety of drinks. Service is as okay, and ambiance was quiet in a calming way. I will definitely be back, especially since you can customize sugar amount on drinks.

Gone are the days of $2.75 Vietnamese banh mi in Oakland Chinatown or anywhere...and you're lucky to find a delicious sandwich for under $9 Boba Binge is a more modern storefront and a contrast to the hole-in-the-wall spots in the area. Place offers various boba drinks and milk teas, Vietnamese sandwiches and fried snacks. The grilled chicken sandwich has a generous amount of pickled daikon and carrot, cilantro and slices of fresh cucumber. I liked the flavor of the chicken as it does have a dab of sweet sauce to it...good meat and veggie ratio and a good weight to it! It will definitely fill you up...a friend got 2 sandwiches and kept saying how full he was after! Popcorn chicken was yummy with basil throughout and garlic cloves. No sauce given except for a 2oz container of siracha-like hot sauce. Place set up for to go as a couple of stools for window seating and bench seating while you wait for your order. Kiosk to place your order or at the counter if you have questions...or if don't want cilantro. Friend said the kiosk didn't have the option for no cilantro and of course, it looked like they gave him the whole plant...there was a lot! Would visit again to try other sandwiches, snacks and a pandan waffle. Not big on the sweet Asian drinks but they definitely look good and quite popular from all the orders sitting on the counter.

M4. Tie Guan Yin Oolong Milk Tea
    Anh T.

Boba Binge was quite crowded during weekday lunch time. While most people took their food and drinks to-go, even the tables did not have space for all the customers. I waited around 5 minutes in line before I could order at their self-serve machine. I ordered the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Milk Tea with Honey Boba. They were quite busy, so I found out that my boba order was out before they were able to hand it to me. I enjoyed the flavoring of the milk tea along with the chewy boba! I appreciated the boba and their service, and I would love to try one of their banh mis or their pandan milks in the future!

It's been a while since I've purchased lunch here, with lunch being a sandwich and boba. Maybe I haven't been paying attention or the situation has changed a lot, but it's a lot more expensive now than a year or so ago. Not sure the overall value is there anymore, even though it is so tasty. The banh mi price has gone up $2 while the size has reduced. The boba size is the same and price gone up a bit as well. Put tax and tip in, it's a $20 lunch. Again, food is good. Probably the tastiest banh mi in Chinatown. It's just a bit pricey now.

I pedaled my bike over there this Wednesday morning, aiming to secure a proper breakfast that would actually carry me past 11 a.m. The shop is cozy, definitely on the smaller side with a few seats inside, giving it that familiar, neighborhood spot feel. It's not a sprawling, antiseptic café, and I appreciate that. I ordered the Laney Breakfast Sandwich, which features egg, fresh spinach, sliced turkey, and Swiss cheese on a toasted English muffin. What impressed me was the intentionality--this wasn't something sitting under a heat lamp, looking defeated. It was clearly made to order. The egg was seasoned right, the turkey wasn't flimsy, and the spinach added that necessary fresh bite. It was a damn good sandwich, simple as that. I paired that with the Berry Lovers Smoothie. The original recipe calls for banana, but I asked if they could swap that out for mango. My people know that mango adds a different kind of sunshine, and they executed the substitution flawlessly. It came out thick, perfectly blended--a rich mix of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and that mango kick. It was super refreshing and didn't taste like I was drinking melted ice. The service was quick and friendly, which is key on a weekday morning. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and intentionally prepared. If you're looking for high-quality breakfast fare that feels less commercial and more like something someone actually cares about, stop by. The short bike ride and the intimate seating are worth it for what comes out of that kitchen. They earned this review.

Their boba drinks had became so popular that they opened locations in Berkeley, San Francisco and Milpitas. I love their bobas, it's sweet, bouncy and great chewing texture. The milk tea quality honestly was ok. I am not sure why I tasted a hint of thai tea lol but I did not mind. The boba quality was great. Perfect texture and I love how chewy it is. Plus they gave a good boba proportion! The popcorn chicken was not spicy enough for me so I used the powder they had near the seating area. I think they try to not make it too spicy because a lot of families and kiddos order it so they probably don't want to make it very spicy. You can sit here too as you wait or as you eat. Our orders were taken and we sat down to wait. There were a TON OF FLIES buzzing around and I kept having to wave them off especially when we got our order to the table, which honestly was gross. We were called to pick up our order, but only 1 of the 4 items was ready: Zadie's Masterpiece Breakfast Sando - Really tasty and enjoyed the biscuit it was on. Skimpy on the bacon, there was ONE piece but overall good breakfast sandwich. Next item ready 5 minutes later: Khadija's Slow Burn Harissa Hot Honey Breakfast Burrito - Really tasty. Definitely flavor packed and would order this again. *BUT there was an issue. Apparently the person that ordered before us asked for the same burrito to go...they NEVER got it and yet our order was ready. The person was pretty cool about it but they were definitely annoyed and gave us a look although it wasn't our fault. *The ordering system seems unorganized with the cashier writing orders on a slip of receipt paper and putting them on a stand by the kitchen. I wonder if the slips were out of order or fell and they skipped this persons to go order? IDK but they need a better system! We tried waiting for our coffees before starting to eat but then our food started getting cold...YOU KNOW WHY?... because the poor person that was taking orders was also in charge of making drinks. Having one person as cashier and barrista is NOT a good idea on a busy Saturday morning. It was hard for them to take a moment and focus on the drinks becuase people kept coming in an placing orders which means we waited for 20+ minutes before getting our drinks. By then our food was mostly eaten! Thankfully we noticed they had a water pitcher for free water which was a saving grace! The wait for drinks was so long that people that were already sitting when we arrived and had already eaten their food were JUST getting their drinks before us. HORRIBLE! I felt really bad for the cashier/barista :( Another turn off, there is no understanding on what to do with dirty dishes. Do we bus our table? If so where do we put it? We noticed people leaving plates by the water pitcher and cups, some put them on the long counter by the coffee area. There wasn't a garbage or compost bin, so we weren't sure where to put food scraps. There was a bin for "Plastic Only" but only the cup lids were plastic and the cup itself was paper, so where TF do you put that? We noticed a black plastic bin that someone had brought out from the back, so we placed our stuff in there but wasn't exactly sure. We tried to ask the cashier/barista but they were slammed with customers so we ccouldn't get their attention. IDK the place is just poorly organized and messy! There are tables for people to make artwork which is nice but on a busy Saturday it might have been nice to clean those areas up to allow people to sit. Sorry guys... *You need a dedicated barista! People waiting 20+ minutes for drinks is insane especially when the food comes out relatively fast. *Please clean up your restaurant. The amount of flies was gross and no one wants to swat them away from food & drinks. *Tell people if they should bus their own tables and if so.... *Make it clear where to leave plates, cups, garbage, compost etc.
