It was good even for someone who don't enjoy it as much. I ordered their jasmine green tea with creama? Went really low with the sweetness, still came out good. Tea flavor isn't as strong as I like it to be. I much rather prefer iTea's strong tea flavor. Wanted to order the popcorn chicken on the menu, but they said they no longer serve it anymore. Cashier had told us that they have egg rolls instead. It came out better than I thought, really tasty, but for $7.95.. it's a bit pricey. Don't let the price steer you away! My mom got a hot Strawberry Oolong Tea, no additional sugar w/ honey boba. I had warned her it was going to be very sweet from the jam itself. She wanted it anyway, she was more disappointed that the size of the hot cup was smaller for the price. It was about the size of my hands and it's not that big. Super sweet if you like that sort of things, tea flavor isn't strong again. I had ordered the Uji Matcha Latte with oat milk and grass jelly. I'm an avid drinker of matcha in general. I had my fair share of matcha drinks from boba shops to locally owned small shops. I didn't have high hopes for this one, but I was really disappointed in this flavor. Tasted diluted, but the oat milk flavor was there. Grass jelly didn't seem to have any flavor to me, maybe a bit more sweetness to it would be good. All their drinks are carefully made with high quality ingredients and are DELICIOUS (some of my favorites: boba milk tea, mungbean milktea, egg coffee, matcha tornado). The staff are also super nice and helpful. I honestly come here more often than I should... I have not tried their food yet. Tip: order your drinks less sweet (unless you have a huge sweet tooth). I was disappointed with the sandwich mainly because I was not expecting more like a hamburger type pork Patty. Sauce was good, but too sweet. It would have been ok had the carrot and radish were pickled more to provide a stronger contrast. The drinks were good and they followed orders on the details. I asked for less sweet and thankfully did, otherwise, it would have been very sweet. Flavors were fresh. The pandan waffle was thick and large. I tasted some coconut, which was nice. The pandan flavor could have been stronger, perhaps? I was expecting a more fragrant taste. The texture was more cake and bready. It is not light and fluffy if that is what you are looking for. Just a heads-up! Their sandwiches and boba drinks are killing me! I have heard a lot about this place and now I know the reasons. These sandwiches - no words! Its have an extensive amount of meats and toppings,...and all of the ingredients are so fresh. Ordered Vietnamese egg coffee, cold cut banh mi, grilled pork bun mi. It was a very authentic tasting banh mi or at least comparable to a lot of good San Jose banh mi I used to eat. The egg coffee went down rather quick and was nothing like I had before. Parking was no fun as I went on a beautiful Saturday morning. Parking along the streets is full but there is a nearby parking garage which is what I settled on. It was probably the better decision that parallel parking along the streets. Service is quick, I sat down for no more than 5 minutes. This is a grab and go type of spot. I ordered the durian smoothie and grilled pork banh mi. Needed a friend to deliver the food for me since I was not in the area at the time so this is based on food sitting around for 2+ hours. The food was still INCREDIBLE despite this. It wasn't cold anymore after sitting so long and the thick shake texture was gone but durian taste was still there and so concentrated it tasted like I was just drinking durian liquid form and in my opinion, that's the best way to enjoy it. Definitely get the durian smoothie if you enjoy the fruit! As for the banh mi the vegetables weren't fresh anymore (my fault for not eating it fresh) but the pork was phenomenal. The marinade on it was slightly sweet and savory and the charred pieces of the pork were also a bonus. I finished this drink before I made it home, and I'm just down the street. I loved this drink. Probably a dangerous thing that it's so close 2. Popcorn Chicken (2 stars): I think this is where they really need to improve. When you think of popcorn chicken, you think of juicy, crunchy, basil-Ly, spicy. This was none of that. Instead, this was hella dry. The pieces were literally the size of a popcorn kernel and it was all breast pieces, over cooked, and not enough seasoning. They didn't offer any spicy-ness (we asked and they said they don't do spicy). The coating was hella off, almost like they used the wrong flour. A variety of toppings is available: honey boba, popping boba, crystal boba, jellies, chia seeds, egg pudding, salted cheese foam, etc... The crystal boba is my preferred boba. They offer some food items including two types of banh mi that can be veganized by leaving off the mayo. I tried the vegetarian banh mi with no mayo and everything was on point with the bread and ratio of contents. The veggies were fresh and crisp. Mayo was definitely missed. The customer service is not bad, can't really complain? If you do, you gotta be a real pain. Their drinks are not bad, however, not memorable either. So far I've tried... 1. Lemon Tea Black - As far as lemon tea, it's pretty decent. Is it like Hong Kong tea? Not necessarily, but I would say it's still pretty good. 2. Brown Sugar Milk Tea - Decent, heavy on the milk, not enough on the tea. That could also be alter I'm sure. I just ordered it as regular, not a big fan. 3. Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk - Also decent. I think personally, you won't get a strong Vietnamese coffee unless it really comes from a real Vietnamese coffee shop. For these are more sweetened than they are strong on the coffee.. 4. Banh Mi Xiu Mai Trung - Also known as a meat ball sandwich with egg. It's not bad.
