I don't visit here as often as I'd like too because my wife doesn't like tea but I still make sure I hit it up when I'm in the mood. I got the White Peach tea boba. The service is fine. But the boba is disgusting. It's not the workers fault if the company uses cheap ingredients. The boba is not warm and the middle is slightly hard which means it's been sitting for quite some time. The white pea tea tastes like bitter water. Third choice is Taro smoothie with boba! I have had their matcha here too and it's good! I'm a big fan of tea and it's nice to see such a nice tea bar on delivery too on uber eats! Oh the choices, SO many choices. There's endless combinations for teas, smoothies, bobas, and coffees. My go to is either jasmine tea or their signifier nicki Minaj tea and i always add jellies. Sounds slightly weird and childish but so stinking good! They also have a small array of tasty snacks (popcorn chicken, egg rolls, tater tots, and chicken wings) and a comfy seating area where you can relax and enjoy your tea. My BF ordered a green apple green tea with boba and I ordered a honeydew smoothie with boba. We also ordered egg rolls, which come in orders of five and come with sweet and sour sauce. The egg rolls were fresh, hot, and delicious. The honeydew smoothie definitely hit the spot and was a cool and refreshing way to wash down the egg rolls. There is a drive-thru but I wouldn't use it if I were you. There's no menu to look at before you get to the window, and you have to be pretty good at parallel parking to even use it anyway. Go inside. Don't worry, there is plenty of parking. Talk to the guy at the register about what you like. He'll have recommendations, and good ones at that. I love love love the almond milk tea from Q-Cup (love it!!!) and mentioned this to him. They don't have almond so I was going to go with the old jasmine standby. He steered me away from jasmine for something a bit more refreshing since that's what I was after with the almond in the first place. It was delicious. It was refreshing. It was well worth the five dollars and some change for the large size. The guys who made my drink let me customize how sweet I wanted it, and had me try it to see if it was OK before I left. Whenever you purchase a drink from them, they'll stamp it until you get a FREE drink! But I guess they've stopped doing this. You just give them your phone number, they'll enter it and see how many points you've received to get to that free drink. I know a couple of boba spots in The Bay and LA that also do this, but this place is the only place in Bakersfield that actually give you points after purchasing. There's a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 5pm-9pm, where you can get a large for the price of a regular. This review is long overdue! When my husband and I first moved to Bakersfield, this was our go-to boba shop - it's where we go to get our milk tea cravings satisfied. The store is modern, serves great milk tea / smoothies, and has really friendly service. :) We've ordered: (1) Jasmine green/milk tea (with or without tapioca boba) - if you love green tea that tastes great, smells great, and is sweetened w/ some milk, then get this! I like the milk tea part - I wonder if they make it with condensed milk? Either way, it's just a delicious clean and smooth tasting drink. Sometimes I will get the tapioca boba balls to come with the drink, but just depends on my mood. (2) Taro smoothie - my husband will order this as he likes taro and surprisingly, they taro is well made that we don't taste the "powder" involved in the drink. I don't think they make the drink out of real taro though, which is unfortunate, but most tea bars don't...unless their focus is really on fresh fruits/ingredients. Nonetheless, the taro has the flavor of taro and tastes smooth and refreshing. We won't get the whip cream that comes with. We've been here so many times (in the past) that I actually filled up all the stamps on my frequent customer card (one side of it), haha. Now I'm starting on the other side of the card. While this boba shop is not like the typical Tapioca Express or other Asian-themed boba stores in Los Angeles or Orange County, it does a great job at serving up authentic teas / milk teas for the Bakersfield area. I should go back again soon to get a stamp on my frequent customer card! It's just a bit far south.... =P Oh, and there are nice chairs/tables for customers to sit and hang out with friends over some boba.
