As an update to my review, the manager messaged me and told me that the "peanuts" were "cancha serrana", a crunchy corn snack from Peru. I appreciate the management for reaching out. However, I asked the server if they were peanuts and they said YES!!! Of course I listened to the server, who would obviously know more about the dish than me. There could've been a miscommunication issue there, but either way it could've been explained either on the menu or verbally when we expressed our allergy concerns that we did not need to worry. I wish I tried them now.
A beautiful restaurant with lively vibe! Great wine selection for wine lovers, and a simple cocktail menu for the liquor fan. They gave me a mega pint for my gin tonic, which I am far from complaining. The staff is super kind, super attentive to make sure our beverages and table was clear. We ordered: Anticuchos - Heart Skewers with a side of roasted potatoes, peruvian corn and rocoto sauce. I am an organ meat fan so this hit the spot. Add a dash of the rocoto sauce as it brings the flavor to a new level Bistec Con Tllarin Verde: The rib eye steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, seasoned simply. They do provide sauces on the side to enjoy of course. It comes with a savory Creamy pesto Linguine to pair with the protein. To share with a group of 5, additionally a dish called Chancho Al Palo : Rotisserie Style Pork, with their crispy skin, sweet plantains and white rice. Comes with a lovely Salsa Criolla. Another well perfected pork, keeping its savory juice within. The Salsa Criolla tops it up to the finest pairing
First time eating at a Peruvian restaurant and oh my goodness I loved it! We called a few hours before for a reservation for 8 people on a Saturday night at 7:30pm and they had a spot for us. I believe they have seating in the back for larger parties! The portions are huge and I would recommend sharing if you're not so much of a heavy eater. We got the Milanesa de pollo which was bomb paired with the pesto pasta! Service was great, the servers knew their menu and ingredients so well. My friends ordered the ceviche which was delicious and one of their most popular! Our other friend ordered the lomo saltado which was great but just a little salty in my opinion. However, overall we loved it and would definitely be a place to recommend other friends to go to.
Great Peruvian food! We came here to celebrate a birthday and they did a great job accommodating a large group! We ordered sangrias for the table and they were amazing!! The waiter was very attentive and continued to check in and ensured that everyone in the group was well served! We ordered various dishes including the lomo saltado and genuinely you can't go wrong w any of the plates. They are large portions, I believe you can share one plate between two people. I'd recommend family style ordering for this place. Really pretty place a nice a warm atmosphere perfect for a birthday or a celebration! Would recommend! Rating: 9.5/10
We had dinner at Bodegón No. 69 with a group of four friends, and everyone left extremely pleased. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the exceptional service and genuine patience of our waitress. One of our friends received an important business call just as we were getting ready to order. Rather than rushing us, our waitress was incredibly understanding and gave him the time he needed to finish his call. She came back several times to check on us, keeping us informed that our food would be coming shortly and even apologizing for the delay. There was absolutely no need for her to apologize. We were enjoying ourselves, catching up with old friends, and actually appreciated having the extra time to relax and talk. When the food arrived, it was excellent across the board. We ordered the Arroz con Pollo, Classic Beef Milanesa with fries, Bistec Encebollado, and Tallarín Saltado de Camarones. Everything was flavorful, well prepared, and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. What makes a restaurant memorable isn't just good food--it's when the staff makes you feel welcome, respected, and never rushed. Our waitress did exactly that. Excellent food, outstanding service, and a wonderful evening with friends. We will definitely be back!
First time here and planning on returning. The food is authentic but you have to be patient, it is truly cooked to order. The ambience is casual but a good drink like the pisco sour makes the wait go by easy. Had the lomo saltado, a staple of any Peruvian restaurant- loved the tender beef and veggies were fresh complimenting the dish. The chancho was my favorite, crispy suckling pig with tender , juicy meat- what's not to love. Skin was crunchy, with a hint of sweetness in a good way. This dish is only available Friday through Sunday- this will definitely make me return quicker.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant over the weekend with my mother and sister. From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The customer service was warm and welcoming, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, and the ambiance created the perfect dining experience. What made this visit especially memorable was how authentic the food tasted. I recently spent two amazing weeks in Peru, and this meal instantly took me back. I was able to enjoy two of my favorite Peruvian dishes, and they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere. It was truly an amazing experience, and I look forward to coming back. The only thing that could have made it even better would have been if they offered traditional picarones for dessert!
I came with my friends on a Thursday night and got seated immediately. We were all craving lomo saltado - it was generously portioned and tender. We also got the yuca fries with the yellow creamy sauce which was our favorite. My only issue was that a questionable stand of a few dessert cookies were out in the open air and in reach of customers by the front door, which if it's not complementary, I don't see why it wouldn't at least be covered and properly handled.

After our continental breakfast at our hotel before the show, plus some pre-show vending machine snacks, and awesome albeit lengthy live tv show experience, we were ready to yell "CUT!" on the day & head to dinner! Vibe check: synchronicity! While perusing Yelp for places in Pasadena, we decided we were in the mood for either ramen or lomo. We instinctually chose the latter & went with Peruvian food. Enter Bodegon No 69! Ready for its close up, it did not disappoint! From our guest starring hostess who offered us the cozy, romantic table in front, to our special guest server who recommended the Pisco Sours as an adlib to our initial martini request. It worked! Leave it in the script! As we spoke about the phenomenal Taraji P Henderson's appearance on the show earlier, we eyed our Hidden Figures...the Starter Menu! Choclo Serrano & Causa Limena to the set! The double C combo satiated our hunger pangs instantly! Bravo to the Best Supporting Cast! A climactic scene was building, as we locked eyes, while planning our future over strong drinks and even stronger chemistry! Still got that spark! Enter our stars: Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina! Oscar worthy flavor & plentiful portions of food! Deliciosity (is this even a word?!) thy name is Bodegon No 69! Chill vibe, good service, great food, and a divinely stunning co-star who shines brighter than a champagne supernova in the sky! This place is solid--but not life-changing. First off: get a reservation it can get crowded Bottom line: tasty food and worth a visitl with a great vibe for friends or even date. I enjoyed it.
First time customers Family went to have lunch for Mother's Day. Nice decor, friendly service and big servings. We ordered two appetizers to share in addition to the individual orders. Food we ordered were all good. Servings are big so we ended up taking home some leftovers overs. Will come back and bring the rest of the family. It seems the place can accommodate a big group.
The food here was genuinely delicious, bold flavors, well-prepared dishes, and overall a great dining experience from a culinary standpoint. Service was also good. Our server was attentive, kind, and did his best to make sure we were taken care of throughout the night. That said, this isn't the best spot for a larger group or a special occasion. We were celebrating my parents' 47th anniversary, and while we didn't mind being seated about 20 minutes late, the seating itself was disappointing. We were placed in a back room with dim lighting and long, shared tables that made it difficult to get in and out, especially if you were seated in the middle. The space felt cramped, poorly ventilated, and appeared to double as a storage area, which took away from the celebratory feel. They also ran out of Coke before 8pm, which was a bit surprising. Overall, the food and service really carried the experience, which is why I'm still giving 4 stars. I'd absolutely come back for a date or a small group (4 or fewer), but I wouldn't recommend it for a memorable celebration or larger party.
Delicioussss meal and pisco sour for a Friday night dinner date. I've never satinside since you can sit outside but the decor inside seems lovely as well. Server was courteous and friendly.

Walked in during a weekend afternoon and we were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was almost full. It was the concert day for AC/DC and they were playing all their music so the vibes were high. The service was quite attentive. The maracuya is on the sour side for my liking but still enjoyed it. Their lomo saltado is good quality, one of the best I've had in LA. I like how beef the tender was. The tallarin was so filling but it was enjoyed as well. It was good for what it is. However, the meal was in the pricier side, which makes sense because of the location. There are lot more items in the menu that I'd go again to try. This restaurant is in Old town pasadena so there are plenty of paid parking options around. read more

The service is attentive but the food can come out a little slow. The wait is worth it though! We ordered two appetizers - Jalea Mixta and the Mahi Mahi traditional ceviche. The Jalea Mixta was a platter of fried seafood, which included fish, calamari, octopus, muscle, and others. It was your typical fried food and our table enjoyed it. The Mahi mahi ceviche was delicious. For our entrees, our table ordered the Lomos Saltado, Seco con frejoles, Tallarin Saltado Pollo, and the Cau Cau. The Lomos Saltado and Seco con Frejoles were our favorites and we would definitely return to order these two dishes again. My friends also enjoyed the Cau Cau and the Tallarin. The Cau Cau comes with tripe and tumerick sauce and the Tallarin is a tasty pasta dish. Everything was very flavorful! The portion sizes are pretty big and all of us were very full after. One tip - don't forget about the green sauce! The waiter brought out green sauce for the table. It had a little spicy kick to it, which went well with all of the dishes we ordered. Long wait from ordering to being served food, but all the mains likely take decent cooking time and they serve large potions. + Arroz Con Pollo ($28): huge mound of rice with some carrot, peas, Peruvian corns, and only a few chunks of chicken... loved the creamy papa a la huancaina (7/10) Overall, although portions were massive, still not worth the price for the amount of meat. read more

Came here as a celebration and maaaaan it did not disappoint! The food was incredible, a beautiful combination of ingredients with the right amount of kick. Hit the citrus-y spot I was looking for. The staff was nice and patient (we were there for quite a while during non-busy hours). Passed an overall vibe check with the music, cleanliness, and customer service. I will absolutely be back here! We ordered 2 different ceviches FULL of flavor, along with the lomo saltado. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The ensalada rusa (pink dish in the photos) is definitely an underdog worth trying, it surprised us in the best way. Happy eating to ya if you try it! read more
Wish the service at night was a bit better. Waited outside a bit they told me there's no host. It did take a long time to get our appetizers and our food and it wasn't that busy it got busier later so I'm not sure if the kitchen was just slow. We were the first ones here in the morning and were greeted and seated right away. The food was pretty good and staff was pretty attentive. The food took its time to come out though, even though we were rhe first ones there and the only ones for about 15 mins,but we had enough fun talking to each other. The food make up for it. Love the outside patio. Get the arroz con pollo. Chicken is super tender. Their sauces are pretty hot but had great flavor. The ceviche was the bomb. I mean, just look at the picture. read more
I ordered the anticuchos, a mixed ceviche, and the tallarin verde con bistek, but got too caught up in eating that I only remembered to take a picture of the anticuchos since it came out first. The anticuchos was on the tougher side so that was not my favorite. However, the ceviche was delicious and so was the tallarin verde with steak. Service was ok. We got seated in a little corner by the window and nobody really paid us too much attention, but when they did come by they were friendly. Nice vibes at the restaurant, but for a Thursday it looked a bit slow. Overall, I would probably go again since there aren't that many other Peruvian options in the neighborhood. read more

Enjoyed a birthday dinner at Bodegon No 69. I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time and I'm glad I did. I ordered tallarin verde with milanesa d carne. The noodles were very thick and sauced down with there tallarin sauce, which is made from basil and spinach it resembles pesto sauce forsure.. the milanesa was tasty and extra breaded down my dish also came with a small potato smothered in huanacaina sauce which the waitress explained it was a cheese sauce they make in Peru it was delicious! I definitely want to come back and try new dishes. They do give very big portions ! I took some food to go and it was even more delicious the next day. The restaurant was pretty wide. Really pretty setting semi dim lighting, friendly staff and great food can't complain !! read more

Not really familiar with Peruvian food so can't comment on authenticity, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate here - chancho al palo, pasta marinera, and beef heart skewer. Made a reservation here with some friends we haven't seen in a while. They are very accommodating with their reservations. I called them to see if I could move it 30 minutes back (due time traffic) on a Sunday afternoon and they did it right away. By 5pm here it was starting to get crowded. Its right a long a row of other restaurants and eateries in downtown Pasadena. Parking is either street parking (if your lucky) or one of the many parking lots around the area. They have both outdoor (by the street) as well as indoor dining. I do love their decor indoors. Its very rustic and homey feeling. You can see the chefs and cooks behind the glass windows cooking up your food. Lots of Peruvian menu items. I got their choclo Serrano for apps. Which is their style of street corn. I was expecting the traditional street corn but instead the kernels were really big and almost hard to bite. And the cheese were cut into small cubes as suppose to crumbled cotija cheese. But it was good. I love the butter flavor. And the cheese added some nice flavoring to the corn. It was a really nice appetizer. For my entree I ordered their chancho al palo, which is only on the weekends and its their rotisserie style pork with pork cracklin served with plantains, potatoes and rice. The large cracklin was thick!! Definitely crunched. Lots of fat on the underside. It was pure amazing!!! Pork was cooked well. Tender and fall apart on the middle. Some of the outer parts were overly charred and very tough to chew. Flavors were just OK. Needed some sort of sauce on it or just more salt.... Some of the other dishes ordered were the lomo soltado and their milanesa con tallarin sauce. Lomo saltado is not as good as the one I've had at the Vox in Fountain Valley. And their bistec was so tough and hard to chew. It was not good. If that was my main entree I would've dropped this review to 3 stars. Food did take a long time to come out. And they ran out of their diet inca cola. Their maracuya (passion fruit) juice was really good. Wish it was a little bit colder. To get the bill and pay for it also had some lag. Overall authentic (I think, my knowledge base about Peruvian food is limited) Peruvian food. But I do think the Vox in Fountain Valley is much better. I like the vibes in here. Glad I tried it, its a solid place. But dont think Ill be back though when Im leaving a lomo saltado.... read more

We had ceviche B69, chancho al palo, and limo saltado. The ceviche was fresh and nicely seasoned. Chancho al palo had nice crispy skin and yet the meat was very tender. Lomo Saltado was ok. The beef in Lomo Saltado was a bit tough. Our server was friendly and helpful in explaining and giving recommendations. The decorations and ambiance were great. If we live in the neighbourhood, we probably would go back again. read more

Had a craving for a rice dish and decided to try this. There were actually quite a few items we wanted to try. We ended up ordering the lomo saltado and the arroz con mariscos. 10/10! It was a quick ordering process since we got it to go and it was ready within 20 minutes. And blazing hot! They close at 9pm and at 8:45pm it was still pretty busy. They have options for indoor seating but also an outdoor area. It was such a nice night that I wished I was dining in (outside). read more

Bodegón No. 69 serves delicious Peruvian food in Pasadena. We tried the fried calamari, ceviche, and arroz con mariscos, all very good, with the arroz con mariscos being my favorite. Their pisco sours were also excellent. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating with a pleasant ambiance, and parking in the area is easy. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Even though I don't live nearby, I'll definitely stop by again whenever I'm in Pasadena. read more
Came for a lunch on a Sunday for a gf's birthday gathering. Our server was really helpful when we wanted to check about a certain allergy for one in our group of 3, so we were very appreciative of that. Got to try a few things: -Cortado (coffee), I only tried a sip but it was strong (to me)! A small cup, like a European cappuccino. -Pescado Sudado, a grilled fish fillet sitting atop some veggies (bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and potato) and a tomato-wine broth. Served with a side of rice. I enjoyed this dish very much! -Tallarin Saltado Criollo w/ Chicken (choice of proteins are: beef, chicken or shrimp). This was surprisingly good. I'd say the flavor is similar to a Lomo Saltado, except instead of rice you have the pasta noodles. I liked this dish as well. -Yuca Frita, they don't have it as an appetizer but a side here. I wished it came out closer timing-wise with our other food so I could dip it in the sauces. Otherwise, the side dish was nothing to rave about. Parking in Old Town can be a bit of a doozy. If you don't mind walking, you can park at any of the lots and walk over. Otherwise, you can try your luck at street parking. Restrooms are downstairs and clean. Service was fair. Got the ceviche b69 and it was dang delicious love the corn nuts, the calamari, the amount of acidity. Ate it as a meal on a hot summer day and was scrumptious! Curious how the other food is here! It wasn't busy and had quick service. Inside is clean and cute. read more
Nice sit down Peruvian restaurant in Pasadena. The area is really cute and family friendly. Street parking and parking lot around the area are available. Service is relatively quick, although we never got a drink menu that I asked for, which was a bummer since we were celebrating a friend's birthday. They have shareable appetizers, as well as decent size entree portions. The cuisine is hearty and filling. Food: -Jalea mixta: Fried mixed seafood platter. Great to share at the table. The fried fish was my favorite but the calamari was also tasty. There's also fried mussel and scallop which was nice too. - Mahi Mahi ceviche: Nice large chunks of fish. The seasoning was not overly sour and the overall dish was well presented and flavorful, served with Peruvian corn and corn nuts (?). Nice and refreshing. - Lomo Saltado: My favorite dish here. The steak was well made and fries were meaty enough to withstand the sauce but will absorb the flavor. Stir fried with onions and tomatoes and served with rice. Delish! - Seco con frijoles: Braised meat with beans and served with rice. I'm not a fan of braised meat but if you are, this would be a nice choice for you. Tender and good portion. - Tallarin con pollo: I didn't try this but was told it was good. Looks like Chinese stir fried noodles to me but maybe the flavor is more unique? On the way out, I saw a tower of alfajores and asked if I could purchase one to go. They only sell it in a box of 5, but the lady working there was nice and gave me a cookie for free. The cookie was soft and crumbly, with a sweet Dulce de leche filling inside that was not too heavy or sticky. Great little dessert! read more

While their food is delicious please note if you're ordering for pickup , delivery or door dash they do not seal your food. So your food will arrive in an open bag from a driver that you do not know. I asked them a while back if they could seal the food with a tape or something for safety but it appears it's not a priority for them. If you're comfortable your food arriving unsealed from a delivery person you don't know then please ignore this review. After all the horror stories I've seen from food delivery people I'm shocked that a restaurant in 2026 will not seal their deliveries to assure their patrons of its safety. read more

Overall: slept on spot in old town serving slightly exotic food. If you're tired of Italian, Japanese, Chinese and all the main offerings in Old Town swing by here to spice these up. Food: their ceviche is fresh. Refreshing for the mind body soul fresh. Hot summer day and you're feeling cooked off. Cold winter night up the spice abs you'll feel warmed right up. Lomo Saltado is a must try here. It oddly tastes a little like Chinese stir fry because if the similar ingredients (onions) and how they let the natural flavor of the beef come out. Their seafood paella is loaded up with shellfish and definitely worth getting for the seafood lovers. In contrast to the very strong flavors of the lomo the paella takes on a milder tone bringing out a warm aroma that gives you that warm fuzzy home cooking feel. Ambience/Decor/Service: beautiful interior with very practical tableware. The service was a bit slow but I think there was a huge crowd in a random Monday. read more

Solid Peruvian food, pleasant ambiance. Ceviche was fresh, cochlo serrano (corn with cheese) was an intriguing concept but a bit bland, lomo saltado was good (although I've never had a BAD lomo saltado) albeit very heavily salted, steak was adequate, pesto pasta was excellent. Prices are exorbitant. Would I come here again? Maybe if I was in the area, but there are more reasonably priced peruvian restaurants with just as good food and ambiance in multiple LA neighborhoods. read more

Came for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday, and we were all super impressed by the food at Bodegon no 69! Ordered the lomo saltado, arroz con pollo, and the ceviche B69. Our favorite dish was definitely the lomo saltado! It is a pretty small place so I would recommend grabbing a reservation. The servers were also very kind and treated our friend to a piña colada for his birthday! Overall a great experience and will definitely be back. Pasadena is underrated when it comes to dining- there are so many stunning restaurants in Pasadena and Bodegon No 69 is definitely one of them. I recently had dinner here last week and I was blown away. Everything about this place was delicious! It wasn't too packed the day we went but they do have a reservation option so I'd recommend to book one just in case. Kicked off dinner with a sangria and it was refreshing, and it included chunks of fresh fruit! For appetizer we ordered choclo serrano which was basically Peruvian corn (Cuzco corn) with fresh cheese, and marinated in garlic and butter. This was bomb and I haven't seen it on the menu at other Peruvian restaurants. And for mains we got a classic lomo saltado and arroz on pollo (fried rice with chicken). I can't decide which one I liked more- I liked them equally. The beef in the lomo saltado was tender and not too chewy, and they were so generous withe veggies. As for the chicken fried rice it was packed with so much flavor. I can't say enough food things! Such a unique dish. Best part was the portions were huge and I had plenty of leftovers for the next day Safe to say I was very excited to eat lunch the next day! Do I need to make a reservation for dinner? No one answers the phone when I call and there doesn't seem to be an online booking system for this restaurant.

Is your Pasadena location closed for good? It seems like it's always closed now.
During week days we are open at 4pm and Weekends (fri-sat-sun) @12pm Thank you for asking. We love our pasadena community and We are doing excellent ;)!

It is a sit-down restaurant. There is table service where you order at the table.
Is this place still in a soft opening? I don't see any signs but it would be good to know.
Yes, Grand Opening will be on June 28.
Can someone tell me where to park?
Street metered parking (recommended that you use the passport app so you know when your time is up) or paid parking lots in Old Town Pasadena.
