very soft opening menu (6/4/2026)
Sydney B.

Stopped by for Dalah's "very soft opening" & we were blown away. The beef cheek with eggplant & green curry was one of the best dishes we've tried all year. The crab fried rice was also very flavorful & mango sticky rice dessert was perfection. The decor is well done & staff are lovely. Wishing for the best for this new gem in Pasadena! Easy & free street parking on Cordova St.

New Thai place in Pasadena! Soft opening - everything was a hit. I can definitely see myself coming back here with family. Interior is super cute and designed well. Menu is small and makes you want to try everything. The best was the fermented crispy pork appetizer with an addictive dipping sauce! Their pad Thai was really balanced and I like how the chicken was cooked on the side! The grilled beef salad was tender and came with lots of herbs. I also loved the cucumber side. The mango sticky rice is soo good with perfectly sweet mango!

An aesthetic elevated Thai place in Pasadena! I had take out from the restaurant but was able to see the interior when I was picking up the food. Flavors are delicious especially with the beef salad! We did add kale to it since we wanted more greens, and paired really well with the delicious tangy sauce!

Come to this place if you want delicious quality Thai food. I have been eating Thai food all my life. Try Pad Thai and chicken Satay.

Randomly found Dalah on instagram and checked it out the same night. Great Thai food in a slightly more elevated setting! Friendly staff as well. Ordered the Hat Yai Wings, Moo Ghon Tod, Pad Thai, Green Curry and Mango Sticky Rice. Would recommend them all!

This place exceeded all expectations! The food was incredible, the portions were generous, and every detail was perfect. The service was top-notch--everyone was kind, professional, and attentive. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful atmosphere. Honestly, everything was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars all the way!

Gang dang braised duck - duck leg in a bold red curry, balanced with sweet and tangy notes of orange, tomato, and walnut.

Located in the old Gozen Shun location - we came on the second day of their soft opening and they nailed the flavors! The duck curry had a nice presentation and a generous heaping of rice. I liked that the curry was rich and not watery and the duck was cooked well. The pad thai noodles are different from other places around here - they're round, thin, and tender (in a good way)! It was also nice that the bean sprouts were mixed in with the noodles instead of sitting raw on top. I also liked that the Thai tea wasn't too sweet and the mango sticky rice was nice and warm. The staff were also very nice - wishing them great business and planning to go back!

Came back for my third time since their opening and finally was able to try their savory food. Absolutely perfect and I am obsessed !!! The owner is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable so received great service.

Garlic short ribs

Here for the second time! The staff is awesome like before - the manager gave me 2 new dishes to try out alongside my pad thai order. The food was great! Very excited to have new dishes in the works as my wife and I like Thai food very much. Very fun experience to try new dishes! I also like that they adjust the lighting as the night creeps in and everything gets a bit more mellow - they have these lights aimed at the walls that give a nice red hue.

The service was so nice and welcoming upon arrival. The food was delicious! They accommodated both of us to make the red curry and green curry vegan with fantastic crispy tofu and veggies! 10/10!!!

mango sticky rice

came across this new thai place and had an amazing experience! we ordered the pad thai and the beef, and both were flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. the beef was chewier on the end pieces, which may have been cooked a bit longer, but overall it was yummy. the mango sticky rice was delicious, and they were very generous with the mango portion. the service was also fantastic. the staff were attentive, friendly, and checked in on us just the right amount. the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. it's the perfect place to catch up with friends and family, enjoy great food, and spend a relaxed evening together. definitely worth a visit!

Crispy hot delicious

foods great i wish could order everything on the menu i want it all , service awesome, our waitress ploy is helpful and accommodating. floor high ceiling Open space. Love it.

Pad Thai chicken

Ended up discovering this gem through friends of mine. The decor is very cute and it has a nice open feel with touch of Thai styling and decor. Service was top notch with our server who was very attentive and patient with our table. I REALLY enjoyed my Pad Thai chicken. It sounds super basic if you eat Thai food regularly but it had a burst of flavor with a very good balance. The lime, peanuts and filet of grilled chicken came together very nicely. You can tell they took a lot of time with creating the recipe. I look forward to having it again!

On this visit, we decided to stop by for dinner, and it reminded me exactly why we've been coming back all these years. We ordered the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Tom Yum Soup, and every dish was packed with flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the Tom Yum had that bold balance of tangy, savory, and spicy flavors, and everything tasted fresh and authentically prepared. You can tell they've stayed true to their recipes over the years. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes. We were not expecting such generous servings for dinner and ended up with plenty of leftovers to enjoy the next day. If you're looking for authentic Thai food with generous portions, president Thai is a must try in Pasadena.

President Thai Restaurant is one of those places that makes you think you're about to have a luxury…read moredining experience. The dining room is gorgeous. The decor is upscale, the plating is beautiful, and the portions are surprisingly generous. The food itself tasted very good. To be fair, all of that elegance appears to be included in the bill. Compared with most Thai restaurants, the prices are noticeably higher--probably 20-30% more, sometimes even beyond that. I wouldn't have minded paying the premium if the service had matched the atmosphere. Unfortunately, it didn't. The restaurant was busy, and our table seemed to be forgotten more than once. Our final dish took over 30 minutes to arrive. Nobody checked in, nobody explained the delay, and by the end of the meal we were mostly just staring at the empty plates wondering whether the last dish had entered a witness protection program. When the check arrived, reality arrived with it. Three dishes, one coconut drink, plus tip. Just as expected, the bill marched confidently past the $100 mark. Still, none of that was the most memorable part of the evening. The most memorable part began approximately three minutes after I left the restaurant. As I sat down in my car, I noticed a faint disturbance somewhere deep within my abdomen. Nothing alarming at first. Just a small warning signal. A diplomatic message from my digestive system. Then negotiations broke down. Halfway home, my stomach launched what can only be described as a full-scale military operation. Every traffic light became a personal enemy. Every red light felt like a direct attack on my civil rights. At one point, I was calculating whether it would be faster to continue driving or start praying. I barely made it home. And when I say barely, I mean that with a level of sincerity usually reserved for survivors of natural disasters. To be fair, I cannot prove the restaurant was responsible. Maybe I have a sensitive stomach. Maybe one ingredient didn't agree with me. Maybe fate simply chose violence that evening. What I do know is this: Very few restaurants have ever served me a meal that was followed by a genuine sprint to the bathroom. The food looked fantastic. The portions were generous. The decor was beautiful. But the service was disappointing, the prices were steep, and the ending was far more exciting than I had hoped. I won't be returning. As for the salad, I wish future diners the very best of luck.

A tiny Thai place in Altadena, at the edge of where the fires were, we were happy to support the business. Turned out to be an excellent choice. You walk in, order and pay at the counter and server brings food to your table. The decor is very nice. It can get quite crowded during peak meal times, so I recommend going after the rush. We had: *Pork and shrimp egg rolls that were fried perfectly and not greasy. *Pad Kee Mow with chicken, which was delicious but next time I'd get tofu instead of chicken. They use white meat and I prefer dark meat. *Spicy crispy pork belly, which had delicious favor but we did find the meat to be a bit over-cooked and therefore tough. Still it was delicious and took home the leftovers, which we steamed to warm up water and the meat was nice and tender minus the skin. Staff is super nice and helpful. Cannot wait to back! I've already got my heart set on their eggplant dish.

I got their Spicy Shrimp Pad Thai and omg... it was lowkey one of the best pad thai I've had in a WHILE. And I don't say that lightly because I'm picky picky when it comes to pad thai. It's literally the one dish I always order at any Thai restaurant, so my standards is kinda up there. But also... this was in the middle of the desert at a music festival so ngl I didn't have high hopes lol. But their Spicy Shrimp Pad Thai was so good!! The flavor was super authentic, spicy, tangy, just hitting all the right notes. The noodles had that perfect chewiness, not clumped together so they know exactly what they doing with their food! The shrimp were big and tasted fresh and all the toppings: bean sprouts, grounded peanuts, and lime, just brought everything together so nicely. Also the staff were super sweet and friendly, and I got my food in likes 5 minutes, gave me more enough time to sit down and enjoy my pad thai while waiting for Sabrina Carpenter's stage setup. Miya's Pad Thai completely won me over at Coachella, it's sooo good to the point where now I actually wanna go visit the real restaurant if I'm ever around the Altadena area.

The menu is pretty simple but has all of the Thai standards like noodles, curry, and rice dishes. I opted for the Pad Thai, which was delicious. It came with chicken as well as two pieces of shrimp, and the portion was very generous. The food also came out in around 10 minutes, which I was very grateful for as I was pretty hungry when I ordered. The cafe is fairly casual and there were several people picking up takeout orders. Most dishes were under $20 which I think is very fair in this day and age. Definitely looking to return and trying some of their other dishes (fried rice looked good, maybe I'll try that next).

Nevertheless the food we ate was fantastic. I would love to get bottles of their sauces to cook with at home. The summer wraps are largely lettuce and Thai mint - I prefer having a bit more carrot and cuke in them, but I'm not the boss. The spinach peanut with tofu had epic spinach and tasty tofu. The Chinese broccoli in the Pad See Ew was nice and crisp. I guess there is parking in the lot in the back of the store. Seems to be marked for specific stores. I wonder, does the Spa really get that busy they need that many spots? I didn't see anything reserved for Daisy patrons. But I figured most of the other businesses were not open in the evening. Anyway we didn't get a ticket or towed off the lot.
