I have been coming to boiling point for years and sad to say that the quality has gone a lot worse over the years First I don't think they ever clean the stove the soup is sitting on, there's leftover veggies and juice on the stove, had to wipe it clean myself. Second they have switched the ingredients in the house special soup over the years and added more "blood tofu" rather than the fish tofu in the past. This is very unfortunate because I'm a huge lover of their old house special soup. Place has a huge parking lot.

Super warm and hearty soup. Perfect for the cold weather that we've been experiencing lately. The service was great- we got checked on multiple times throughout our meal and the ambiance was good. A lot of families enjoying and laughing together. Plus, during lunch hours you get a complimentary drink. I got the green tea and it was yummy! Right amount of sweetness and a strong green tea flavor.

I will say, we had some really good service. Very attentive and efficient. The food on the other hand was bland. I never knew hot pot style meals could ever taste bland, but this was it. The beef broth was tasteless, ever with the addition of the condiments offered. I much prefer regular hot pot like Happy Lamb.

I've been to Boiling Point several times at several different locations, and what I like about them is that they stay consistent everywhere. The concept of being able to have your own bowl of hot pot soup is nice when you're not in the mood to stuff yourself with AYCE, as it serves as a quicker way to get your fix of hot pot. This time I ordered the Milk Creamy Curry for the first time per recommendation by my girlfriend. It comes with everything listed according to the menu/website, but instead of the sliced pork we substituted for the sliced beef. It was quite flavourful as you can really taste the cream and curry in this pot, and most of the toppings paired well with it. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the potato slices that came with it, I probably would've replaced it with taro slices instead. The only downside to these singular hot pots is that the meat always ends up very chewy and takes a while to ingest. Not the biggest problem, but it does get rather tedious after some time of eating it. All in all, always a good place to go when craving soups with a good selection of options for what to eat. Not much to say about this specific location other than decent-sized parking and average service.

*WAS IN FACT BOILING THE WHOLE TIME* First time here and did not know that each person gets their own individual flame and pot. Personally, way too hot for me and I didn't eat it fast enough so it started to burn. Besides the temperature, everything was delicious. What looks like a small pot is stacked with meats, veges and noodles. It even come with extra noodles or rice on the side ! Very bright and family friendly. Small location overall but got a table easily right before the dinner rush on a Tuesday. Two of us showed up before the rest of our party and they let us hold the table - which was very kind of them (we didn't order for about another half hour). Drinks were good and not too sweet. Loved the boba texture - soft and slightly chewy. *caution: I believe every option except the vegan one had seafood so if you're allergic, be aware your options might be limited :)

I came at 11 am right at opening. Service was quick and attentive. Loved the flavors of the hot pot although the slices of beef were fatty. Ordered vermicelli instead of rice for the hot pot. Really liked the green pepper chili oil which is the numbing oil and chili garlic paste for dipping. Wintermelon drink comes with the lunch combo. I came during my birthday so this would have cost me $20.78 before tax and tip but for my birthday it was free. Lots of tables to sit at. V

I really enjoyed my time here. I wouldn't say it was spectacular service, but staff was nice and seated you pretty quickly and you didn't have to wait too long for food. Menu was good for hotpot and its personal hot pots, not a shared one. But I would say I could have shared mine easily. They have appetizers and sauces and drinks. Good options for spice vs not. Pricing super decent.

Boiling Point offers consistent quality and fast service, making it a reliable spot for a quick mini hot pot fix. The cleanliness is medium, especially with the sauce containers and spoons, but it's generally acceptable. One nice touch is that the staff give free jelly at the end when you get your check, which is a pleasant way to finish your meal. Overall, Boiling Point is a solid place to satisfy your hot pot cravings without the hassle of making it at home or paying the higher prices at fancier restaurants. It gets the job done well enough for the price. I have never left feeling like it wasn't worth the time or money.

Packed on a Sunday night. In town for business so thought I'd check this place out and compare to Tasty Pot. Service is not great and very slow. Interior is nice, but pretty small. I ordered the Taiwanese spicy pot and pork belly appetizer. The pork belly was nothing special. Just some stir fried pork belly w some sauce. Usually when you order a Taiwanese spicy pot they ask what spice level you want, it here. They just go full out spicy AF, so that's a minus. So spicy almost can't eat it. The other downer is you'd think a place like this would take all credit cards, but they don't take Amex which surprised me. Next time I'll just got back to some other AYCE hot pot.

Beef Hotpot (mild spicy level) -numbed the tongue and mouth -not the aromatic kind of spice
    Shimakazi S.

Pros: --Free drinks came with the meal. (Choice between wintermelon or green tea). --If you like tons of napa cabbage it's a plus for your hotpot. Cons: --Mild spicy for beef hotpot (see photo) was like mala spicy level. Just spicy. Not the aromatic kind. --Very little meat. --All ingredients cooked in one pot already. If you want to experience cooking yourself the hotpot meal, this is not the restaurant to go to. --Rush rush service. --Vibe no go. Overall rating: 2.25/5

We tried the Green & pork bowl. Not recommended. It seems like the meats got shrink and mostly filled with vegetables. Service was great. I wish that they asked if we wanted meat upgrading which is cheaper compared to call another plate of slices meat. Spacey and good for families but not for big gatherings

I've been going to Boiling Point for a few years now, and I've been consistently satisfied with their hot pot. They are very consistent and it hits the spot when you want something warm and filling. I got the Beef hot pot -- everything was great, though I wish there was a bit more meat in the order.

This is one of my favorite places to go!! It is delicious food and a fun experience! Service is quick and kind and attentive! The place is loud and busy so it's hard to hear, but it is kept clean and is still worth going to.

Maybe saying "my apologies, the drink don't come in options on the rocks, should i make a change" or anything. But the server with the beige shirt teaching us that our drinks is served "on the rocks". She made sure to get the payment from another table next to us and was heading away again, when I finally asked if we could order. She almost seemed bothered and rushed to take our order. My friend is a vegetarian, and wanted the mini scramble with no meat and asked if she could get 1/2 avocado in place of the meat. Carmen outright just said no. Which we both thought was odd. Not even an up charge was offered, but no meat and no interchange? She also seemed a bit short with us. Yes we are white and she is Latina. Hot Dogs in Cars, and Managers Named "Robert" : A Hate Story…read more I have been a regular patron of The Rusty Pelican since I moved to Washington, just shy of 5 years ago. I take visiting loved ones and friends here, and I constantly extol the service and food to anyone who needs a recommendation for a breakfast spot in Edmonds. NEVER. EVER. AGAIN. The manager, Robert, showed sickening behavior. My partner and I were having breakfast out in front, when we noticed that a fellow patron had left their dog in the car on the sidewalk in front of our table. It was 60 degrees out, and completely sunny. The windows were barely cracked, and the dog was panting and straining its neck towards the venting of the window. We called our waiter over, who was incredibly sympathetic and horrified. He went inside to find the customer. We waited a few minutes longer, and then asked a second server to follow up (they were equally horrified and sympathetic). The second server also did not return. My partner went inside to seek help. It was at this point that they encountered Robert. My partner came out a few minutes later and explained what was happening: he had been in the process of denigrating the employees feelings about the matter, telling them to stop bothering customers and (essentially) quit acting like babies. "This isn't Arizona!" he exclaimed. When my partner asked to speak with him and tell him the situation, he was horrendously rude and confrontational, escalating each polite rebuttal with an agitating escalation of rudeness and denigration. My partner calmly explained that in these conditions, a car's interior temperature can rise to above 80 degrees in well under 30 minutes, not including stifling humidity. These conditions can cause an animal to pass out and die within a similar timeframe. At this point, it had been well over 30 minutes since the patron had parked. During all of this, he refused to even address my partner or look them in the eyes. It was absolutely unacceptable, and ultimately embarrassing for a grown man in a PAID CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED POSITION to treat anyone like that. To be clear: the entire staff were incredible. They came out to check on the dog a few times, and tried their best to confront the owner of the dog, but a certain manager was preventing them. They also apologized profusely, and showed a grace that is exemplary and frequently unseen in today's world. We learned several good lessons today: 1. We should have just called animal control right off the bat. The owner isn't going to learn their lesson without legal intervention, or lethal endings. Thankfully they left after about 40 minutes, and the dog seemed to be conscious. 2. I am never going to eat here again, as long as Robert is employed. He should be left in a hot car out front to teach him some perspective. I wouldn't call animal control for him though. 3. I am going to spend the rest of my days around Edmonds telling anyone who will listen this story. To Robert, if you read this: I hope nothing but bad things happen to you forever, and your behavior is inexcusable. You do not deserve to be employed. To anyone above Robert in a position of management or ownership: fire him. Quickly, and unceremoniously. Do it in front of the kind employees, as a treat. They had a familiar air of exasperation with Robert's behavior, telling me this is normal. And under no circumstances should it ever be. Shame on you Robert.
