All of it was tender- the lamb, two chicken types, the shrimp were fresh. Comes with rice and masala which has just the right amount of kick. My husband ordered the goat curry and it was so tender. Bombay Curry offers some of the best Indian food I've had. Their service is very warm, friendly and attentive. At no point was I out of water - I loved how frequently they came by to check in on me and fill the water! Upon sitting down, they brought over papadum with three dipping sauces. The three sauces were very flavorful and a perfect compliment to the papadum. The chicken momo's were the best I've ever had. They're basically an Indian Potsticker - they were delicious and cooked perfectly. For my entree I had the Lamb Vindaloo at the Hot spice level (they have mild, medium, medium +, hot and extra spicy). The level of heat was perfect for my desired level of spice - I love things that are very hot. The vindaloo itself had vibrant flavor and clearly uses fresh spices. At other restaurants vindaloo has taster almost watered down and this was such a refreshing change. The basmati rice it came with was light and fluffy. I've never been to the actual location but I've ordered from them twice in door dash. Their food is great and reasonably priced. The only reason I took off a star is because they have my least favorite white rice. Which is a big deal since it's served with everything. We've been to Bombay Curry numerous times so ce they opened: a late Sunday lunch, weekday takeouts, weekday lunches. Every time, we were pleased with everything we tried. We've had both the meat and veggie samosas and enjoyed both. My personal favorite dish is the Chicken Mango Jalfrezie (cooked "mild plus"). We had an excellent dinner at Bombay Curry: vegetable korma and one of the house specials, Madras chicken curry. The food was flavorful and had depth and it was perfectly spiced. The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside but inside it's got a lovely, modern, clean design and the service was great. I went with a girlfriend for a Friday night dinner out and we were able to talk in a relaxed, unhurried, relatively quiet environment. The first few times I tried Bombay Curry I would have probably given a 5/5 star rating. They are super solid and their flavors are great. However, many of the different dishes I've tried are missing that je ne sais quoi that would push them to 5/5. Definitely 4/5 starts for food and service! The inside is fine. It's an average restaurant interior inside a strip mall. Nothing stands out greatly. It's nice there's so much parking and everyone is always super nice!! The spice level is super consistent and the food is always yummy, but it would say it doesn't quite have that extra punch when you dive into your favorite dish and just know it was made low and slow and you can taste all the layers of flavors. How long has this place been here? Just noticed this weekend after living in the neighborhood almost 6 years. Ordered take out. Best meat samosas I've ever had. The dough was the perfect thinness and only thick on the seams. Crisp, not greasy. Decided to try dishes I was less familiar with: rani tiki and malai kofta. Both divine! Great little Indian place. I was very happy with the number and variety of vegan options, thank you! I ordered online take out, and the food was ready when I arrived (about 30 minutes). This was on a Thursday evening, so might be longer at other times. I had the yellow dal tadka, vegetable vindaloo, and samosas. All were great, and I especially enjoyed the dal. Heat levels were appropriate for what was requested. Good sized portions, and reasonable prices. I was talking with a family member about it, who also enjoyed it, and we ordered our family dinner from here about a week later. This was on a Friday, and the wait time was longer. We had the vegetable curry and bindhi masala this time. These were good, but not quite as flavorful as the yellow dal (which we also got again). Overall, great experience, recommended. Very disappointed last two times ordering takeout We used to love this place. Ordered chicken tikka tonite and a side of hot pickle. Came home with no side but a salad ? with no dressing. The food is amazing. We ordered chicken tikka masala, shrimp korma, naan, vegetable samosas, and a few other things. The spices are delightful and balanced. Very flavorful. We ordered to pick up. They seemed to be having issues with their system, and just couldn't seem to get their acts together. 10 minutes became 20 became 30. 35 minutes after the food was promised, we picked it up. Usually, my frustrations with service mean a lot. This appears to not be the norm. And the good is really, really good. If you're ordering takeout, buckle up in case it takes a while. I've never had it before and it was so balanced with savory flavors and a hint of sweetness. Paneer was also delicious. Garlic naan had the perfect chew and paired so well with the dishes. THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING!!!! We live in Wilmington, NC and when we're visiting Raleigh, we must go every time!! Their garlic naan is phenomenal as well as their curries and other dishes! We lived in Los Angeles where we could find pretty good Indian food and haven't quite found an Indian spot in Wilmington that lives up to our expectations. My wife and I decided to have lunch at Bombay Curry. We had always gone for dinner, but we wanted to see if there was much difference between the two. The lunch menu is smaller, but it still provides more than enough options and variety. As usual, we were greeted with friendliness and kindness. One of the reasons we like going to Bombay Curry is their staff. They are always pleasant and courteous. They came by to fill out water glasses, and they quickly returned with a basket papad and sauces. We ordered the mixed vegetable pakoras, malai kofta, chana saag, and regular naan for our bread. Everything was outstanding. They brought a good sized order of basmati rice to go with our meal, and they regularly stopped by our table to fill up our water glasses or see if we needed anything. They will always ask how spicy you want your particular dish made: they go from a 1 to 5 rating, where 1 is very mild, and 5 is very hot. I usually order a "2," although I did once order at "3." For me, "3" was pretty spicy but not unbearable. That said, I doubt I will ever ask for a "4" or above. On a previous occasion we ordered the rice pudding for dessert, and we were not disappointed. The space is always clean and the tables and booths are comfortable. The lighting is usually subdued, but it's never dark. The colors of the room provide a calm and relaxed atmosphere. If you pay attention, you can tell that Bombay Curry has many regular customers. I overheard a few conversations that let me know that the staff had developed real relationships with some of their customers. I take that as a good sign of the health of any business. The staff pays close attention to their customers, and in return, customers return regularly and provide a type of loyalty to those places that show they appreciate and value their customer's business. In Raleigh for the the Chelsea match and was feeling some Indian. Found this place right here on Yelp. What a great little spot. Friendly staff greeted us and were mindful of our table throughout the meal. The menu is great. Loads of vegetarian options. We ordered so much food. We just couldn't decide so we went big and did not regret it. The curries were excellent. Appetizers were awesome and the paneer tikka was grilled to perfection.
