The usual order for me would be a cone (or two). The parfaits are stacked with ingredients, and the staff there are friendly enough to let us customize our parfaits (I usually get a pudding parfait, but with green tea soft serve instead of vanilla if I do end up getting a parfait). The waffles and cornflakes add a nice cone like texture at the bottom to signify that the dessert is done. $3 for a cone is pretty reasonable (inbetween the $1 at mcds, and the $5 at other ice cream places, and yes, I understand it's different, but they're both cold sweet desserts to me). The parfaits at $7 are a little steep, and I feel like you get less of the matcha soft serve, but the rest of the ingredients do go very well with the ice cream. The fact that it's attached to Konbiniya makes it even better, as those that want other types of Japanese snacks are able to help themselves. tl;dr: why go to a more expensive creamery or another dessert place when you can just get soft serve. read more

The crepes were pretty good, having a good balance of fruit and creme (I had #18). The man who made my crepe was really friendly and happy. How this got 4.5 stars is beyond comprehension. Ambience = 0, as it is within what seems to be a nice Japanese market. There is no seating whatsoever. Quality = 1 (at best). One of the best things I ate in Vancouver was actually not a meal or even in a restaurant; it was a little stand connected to a Japanese grocery store. The signage outside of it caught our attention as did the tantalizing display of their many crepe offerings. Bon Crepe drew us in with their blown-up poster of what their green tea parfait was made of. Upon seeing it, I stopped walking and said, "I want that." So in we walked to see the tiny wooden counter hidden behind aisles of Japanese snacks. We ordered our green tea parfait with the one man working there and sat down on wooden chairs to enjoy its delights. Let's start from the top: green tea soft serve and whipped cream were sprinkled on with green tea powder. A crisp vanilla wafer added some crunch while the dollop of red bean gave sweetness to the mix. Green tea syrup melded the soft serve together with the firmer green tea ice cream; these both softened up against the green tea cake slice on the side. I promise you can't see everything that was on this beauty in my picture! Once you got lower in the cup, you hit tapioca balls (boba), creamy vanilla ice cream, crunchy corn flakes (trust me - they were awesome with everything), and light, delightful sponge cake. With only one guy working the counter and customers from both outside and inside of the store, my crepe turned out pretty good! It's the price that made me happy though; $3.80 for my Strawberry whip cream & milk crepe is pretty awesome. What's special was the chewy yet soft texture of the crepe; I really liked it over the ones at Cafe Crepe & Mazazu, but I can understand if it's not for everyone. RUN (don't walk) to Bon Crepe. My family and I were visiting Vancouver BC for a week during the summer and my husband found Bon Crepe on Yelp. OMG. We walked there from our hotel the first night and I was hooked. At first we walked right by it because it is a small window attached to a Japanese market. We ordered a variety of crepes and they were all amazing. The owner was so incredibly polite and accommodating. He makes those crepes with such skill! We wolfed down our crepes and I was already thinking about what I'd order next time. Needless to say we went back every night. I must have gained 5 pounds but it was so worth it. Our last night we watched the fireworks at English Bay and when it ended my son said "Bon Crepe is still open for 15 minutes". We sprinted to Bon Crepe (and I don't run for just anything!) This is a fantastic place for Japanese style crepe. They serve up fresh ingredients and crepe wrap is made of a mixture that gives a special "mochi mochi" texture. Whatever it is, it's delicious. The japanese guy serving at he kiosk is super friendly, and the prices are decent. When I'm in the area I usually go out of my way to stop by. My boyfriend and I were craving crepes for dessert during our stay in Vancouver. We decided to go here. We were definitely not disappointed. We both got the one filled with strawberries, bananas and nutella - delicious!!! I seriously could have eaten two! I would drive all the way from Burnaby to park on Robson street for their crepe. Especially the strawberry cheesecake crepe is SO delicious. It contains a slice of real cheesecake with fresh strawberry slices and some strawberry jam. Most importantly, the texture of the crepe itself has the perfect chewiness. Every bite is heaven. I had the macha parfait and the custard crepe. Both were amazingly good. I finished my custard crepe first, which was pretty good (not the best crepe I've ever had, but pretty yummy), and tried to work onmy parfait. Visited tonight, had the teriyaki mayo chicken, #54, and it was amazing! The chicken was super tender and packed with flavor. The freshness of the ingredients come through, from the crisp lettuce to the light and fluffy crepe. The service was fast and friendly despite how busy the place was.
