Tasty korean fried chicken! Service was fast and friendly. I have eaten at other Bonchon places in the bay area and Elk Grove. Had the medium combo with spicy and sweet crunchy. Preferred the sweet crunchy flavor the best over the others that I had tried in the past. Kimchi was on point but an extra $3 charge, WTF? Korean restaurants include kimchi for FREE as part of a meal! Anyways food was tasty but prices way too high for a lunch. Cost me $16 for the combo with small side of kimchi. I need to get an air fryer and make my own korean fried chicken for less. read more

Friendly staff and easy to order. I can easily hear them talk to me as they take my order. They seem to have a lot of online orders which is fine since they do have a poster saying just that. There's no seats available other than benches for people who have ordered that are waiting. They do have a couple televisions on. The soda machine is self serve, although I didn't pay attention if refills are okay or not. I did pay attention to how many people went in and out using the door that the restaurant clearly said to "Use Other Door". I always hear good things about how delicious their chickens. So I gave it a try and oh man its delicious. I love the chickens. I order a family meal and it come with fried rice, fries, and coleslaw. First time to this location. Walked in it was very clean. There a lil different from the BOnchon location in Laguna. This one is more like a fast food style. Where u order at the register and they call ur name when it's ready. The menu is also different for example the other Bonchon gives wings and drums but here they have wings or drums. Finally got to try out Bonchon . So glad I no longer have to drive to Elk Grove for it and this place is literally less than 5 minutes away from my work. Perfect for picking up dinner after work for those days I don't feel like cooking. Came here after work around 4 and it wasn't busy. I ordered a few things and it only took less than 10 minutes. Customer service was great , she offered me some water while I was waiting. I ordered the medium size wings, fried rice and Japche. Everything was delicious and portion looked small but it fed the 4 of us and we still had left overs! The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't just get wings only because we don't really care too much for the drums. I even said I don't mind the extra charge for just wings only but she said they couldn't do that. Well then if I can't pay extra for what I want then that sucks! I tried the cheesy tteokbokki, boneless wings with garlic soy, and some fries. The tteokbokki seemed microwaved and the flavor and texture were strange. Honestly, instant in a cup is better,I couldn't eat these. The chicken was ok. Boneless wings are basically chicken nuggets and they make no pretense. Would've liked it a little more flavorful instead of just sweet, but it was fine. Fries were stale, soda was mostly fizzy water and no Coke syrup. Not a great first impression. read more

Food is great but the covid-19 protocol is seriously lacking. They have a self-service drink dispenser. Four teenagers came in without masks and were talking loudly and moving all about, getting too close to customers, and contaminating the drink dispenser and staff did absolutely nothing about it. Comparing this Bonchon to the Elk Grove Bonchon, big difference, but there shouldn't be. Elk Grove offers a lunch (cheaper) menu, Arden doesn't . When I ordered the strips at the Elk Grove location, they were good size really crunchy strips. An hour after I brought leftovers home there was still a crunch to them . Arden, NO CRUNCH. Called ahead for a take out order, was told the order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Got there in 12 minutes, ate in the parking lot. More like chicken nuggets than strips, with no crunch. Wife had the wings, no crunch. Very disappointing. These locations should serve up identical chicken, it's a chain, but Arden falls short. read more

Came to this location excited because I had been to the Natomas location as really enjoyed it. I left disappointed however. I ordered what I usually do which is an order of fried rice, soy garlic wings and my husband ordered some shrimp. I asked the cashier if this was the same franchise just to be sure and he said yes, but mentioned that it's slightly different than the other locations. I didn't think much of it. Our food comes to the table and the fried rice was literally half the size that we get in Natomas. Me and my husband usually share the rice and we often have leftovers. The size of rice at this location was barely shareable but yet it was the same price. $10 for basically a kiddie side of rice. Lame. The manager came out and mentioned that this location "goes by the rules" and the Natomas one must not. He also mentioned that they use biodegradable materials. Not sure what that has to do with the size but ok. The soy garlic wings were great but I just won't will expect less food if I come here again. Go to Natomas. More bang for your buck! read more

everyone always raves about korean fried chicken and i have never had it. i heard super great reviews about bonchon and we finally got a chance to try it on a sunday afternoon before heading home. how it works - the menu for the korean fried chicken is pretty simple. there are 3 types of sauces you can get for the type of chicken you want (wings, drumsticks, etc). you can choose from spice, soy garlic and sweet crunch. if you want actual food, they have tacos, bibimbap, rice bowls, etc. for those who are not into fried chicken, there are many options! there are also bundle menu's where you are able to order a few pieces of chicken with a side. the menu is super easy to read and order. food - we ordered the 20 piece chicken wings of soy garlic and sweet crunch. the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering with disposable plates. the total of this is about $24 and definitely super filling. we got a side of coleslaw. sweet crunch: this has more of a honey-taste, if you do not like honey you will not like this one. soy garlic: i enjoyed this one more than the sweet crunch. it is a bit lighter. i would get this flavor again! the chicken has a nice crisp to it without being too oily. overall: i would recommend everyone to try this place out! it is located right next to the movies and there is plenty of parking. food: 4.5/5 (easy, quick) price: 4/5 (reasonable) staff: 3/5 (they only give you food and take your order, rest is self serve) they use a lot of disposable items so that they don't have to do a lot of dishes. fast food style but much higher quality. read more

Why oh why had I never had this before. Randomly a friend mentioned it and I was like well let's go! I feel like my life was lacking from years of this amazing chicken missing. I will totally admit I am not a fan of chicken on the bone so when I saw there was a boneless option I might have let out a squee! The chicken is double fried and you have an option of seasoning, we picked soy and garlic and were not disappointed. We also shared an order of bacon kimchi fried rice and I was in heaven. I ate way more than I should have and probably would have just ordered more if someone would have let me. We will be back. I am already back in Reno complaining that Bonchon is so far away! read more
