    Roll and Bowl Special

DISGUSTING!!! This isn't my first time I usually eat here once every 2 weeks and typically enjoy the food. Today was different, at least I was paying attention this time. First piece of my roll found 1 HAIR. Pushed it aside thinking I'll get through the rest of the roll but ended up finding HAIR THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE ROLL FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER! This was purposely done by one of the employees. I complained and asked for a refund. There was NO DENIAL or EXCUSE, just employees that couldn't look me in the eye because of guilt. I will never return to this place and I will hopefully complain to the health department until that sign up front turns red.

Solid restaurant to get tasty Japanese teriyaki and sushi rolls! The shop is small, but very clean and has plenty of tables inside to eat. We tried bunch of different dishes including teriyaki chicken and beef bowl and both had a really good char flavor to them. Teriyaki chicken was hot and juicy, definitely a must try item. They also have a great selection of sushi rolls. We tried their Dragon roll and baked salmon roll, they were both fresh and tasty. The pricing throughout their menu is very affordable, which I find incredibly appealing in this world of crazy inflation. We'll definitely be back!

Yaechae Soon Du Bu, Galbi (B1), Dolsot Bibimbap (Y2). What's most impressive about YD is their banchan (side dish) selection and taste/quality. They have over 15! Based off the items ordered, I'd give them a 3, but their side dishes increase their rating for me. The tofu soup was super watery, even at a medium spice. I was also very underwhelmed that the only veggies in there were zucchini and cabbage. Bibimbap was average, didn't dislike it but nothing about it stood out. Galbi was for sure the best item, but also not a complicated dish and hard to get wrong; this is the only item I'd reorder. Service was fine/helpful, but a bit inattentive, especially given the number of tables they had at the time. It's a large restaurant packed with many tables, a bit dimly lit without much natural light coming in. There's a small lot in front for multiple businesses.

Under the ADA, businesses generally cannot require documentation, certification, a license, or a special vest for a service animal. When the need for the service animal isn't obvious, staff may ask whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. What really made us decide to leave was how the situation was handled. I was in the middle of a phone call, but the server kept interrupting and insisting on documentation to the point where I had to end my call just to deal with it. We came in hoping for a quick, simple dinner, but instead felt uncomfortable and decided to leave without dining. I understand restaurants need to follow their policies, but staff should also be properly trained on ADA service animal requirements and handle situations like this appropriately.

First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

Love the coconut rice, The pork was so delicious and the fried wonton in the middle was a crafty decision and adds a little crunch when bitting into it. Best way to eat it is to pick it up and bite into it like you would a burger to get the full effect. They do give you plastic utensils for it, but I didn't use them. 5 Overall: 4 Definitely will go back to try more items on the menu!

The staff were really friendly and the food came fast. They have quick grab items and sit down menu items. We tried some of both. The chicken pho was prepped and made to be eaten quickly. It already had basil and sprouts inside which can be nice when you're in a rush. They had chili, lime, and pickled peppers on the tables for you to add. The flavors were nicely balanced. My wife got the meatball sandwich and she really loved the bread in particular. In the To-Go options we grabbed the spam and bulgogi gimbap. The spam was excellent, but I didn't like the bulgogi as much. The flavor of the meat itself wasn't as intense as I prefer. We also picked up a commoner rice which was rich and delicious. Lastly we got the braised tofu dosirak. Everything in it was flavored well including the japchae. Perfect portion sizes on everything.

I ordered the Large American Kobe Beef with miso and crab broths. It was an average size to feed two people, however I was hungry so I was not full after the meal. The dish came with thin sliced beef, veggies, and choice of noodles or rice. The portion of noodles was very small. The crab broth was my favorite of all the broths and had a nice crab flavor. The meal came with dessert which was a choice of ice cream; I chose the cookies and cream. The chicken wing appetizer was scrumptious. The wings were fried and coated with sauce with lots of jalapenos. Service was good as the employee offered samples of all their broths to assist in making a selection. After the food was served he checked if we needed anything and refilled water. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It was busy on a Saturday evening so reservations are recommended. Glad my mom suggested it for her birthday dinner or I don't know when I would've ever gone! Service was excellent (both helpful & informative). Since we'd never gone before, we were offered a sample of the broths; this was super helpful and appreciated because I ended up not ordering one of the broths I thought I was definitely going to get. I got the Kobe Beef with Miso & Crab Rieu as the two broths. I was able to comfortably split the large size with my husband, but we probably could've used a slightly larger portion for his sake. (He felt a bit hungry after the meal but noted his stomach had settled.) As a party of 5, two of us shared one pot (or two broths) and three shared another pot. The chicken wings appetizer was very flavorful too! (The server listed three options for wings and we went with the one that included jalapeños.) For noodles, you can choose between instant ramen, fresh ramen or vermicelli. It also came with a small scoop of ice cream at the end of the meal! I think I'll come back for AYCE soon. All the ingredients were fresh and very tasty.

Banchan: large scoops were given, our favorite was the broccoli, beef bone broth and japchae. Chicken bulgogi set and tofu soup set: both were fabulous. Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close.
