Service is always great and snappy and never had any issue during any of my stays here. They also serve other Korean dishes too (japchae, tteokbokki, etc.) as well and their noodle dishes are great too! The fried rice was great (although I wish the bulgogi came in bigger pieces), and the japchae was pretty good as well. First of all I just want to say that all three of these stars go to the EXCELLENT customer service provided by the young lady. Brian is our server and he took care of everyone in the dining room 3-4 groups when we were there, plus all the to go orders and what looks like maybe DoorDash/Uber orders. I've made the trip out to this particular Bonchon twice. First visit was in the middle of lunch rush and my most recent visit happened to be around dinner time in the middle of the work week. This review reflects the latest experience with this establishment. Our party of two arrived to a handful of patrons hanging out on the left hand side of the entrance. To the right, we noticed a sign in sheet and immediately wrote our name down. The business was occupied with about 4 parties seated and eating at the tables while 2 additional parties sat at the bar. There were plenty of tables just waiting to be occupied for dine-in customers. We stood around for quite some time and did not have a single employee acknowledge us or review the waitlist. By now, it was clear the crowd off to the left was awaiting togo orders and an additional party had entered right behind us. An employee immediately waved for that party to be seated completely disregarding the list of names & the fact that we had been standing around without any kind of assistance whatsoever. Irritated, I made my way over to one of the employees standing at the bar and asked if we could be seated. The rest of the visit didn't get much better. With the amount of employees on hand and the slow dine-in business going on for that evening, the customer service should have been a whole lot better. I also noticed this location has specialty drinks too. With our server's recommendation, we ordered a passionfruit green tea and a hibiscus lemonade - both were soo refreshing. This location is much better compared to the previous one I've visited when I tried Bonchon for the first time. The first time around, the sauce was just as delicious but there wasn't enough of it and the chicken itself was completely flavorless. This time, the wings were well-coated and served promptly. Bonchon has two sauce options: soy garlic and spicy. I'd definitely go for the soy garlic even if you're into spicy food since it's mighty tasty. The soy garlic sauce that they coat on their wings is sweet, savory, and addictive. The spicy was also good but it just wasn't as flavorful in my opinion. It's gochujang-based and the burn intensifies the slower you eat it. To me, the spicy sauce is similar to the fire noodle's sauce, if you can handle that, then you'll enjoy the spicy. Bonchon's also a great place to visit during dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays since they have a 2 for $20 deal, a choice of japchae, fried rice, or caesar salad, and small fried chicken. I selected the Combo with 10 Wings and 5 Drumsticks - Half Spicy, Half Soy-Garlic, and some pickled radish. Here's how Allset works: you order your food ahead through their app or website, arrive in your selected time, food should be ready as you're seated, then you leave. Simple, right? Nope. We got there at 7:50 pm, reasonably early. I went to the counter to try and check-in but the lady that was working was both timid and frantic helping out another customer who was complaining about her DoorDash pickup -- guess this place just doesn't work well with apps. We got seated at 8:00 pm and my food wasn't ready yet. It makes me question what's the point of even using this app if people that arrived after me got seated and their food before me. They also told me they ran out of sides? With all these bad omens, I was just hoping for the chicken to be as good as I remembered. Hahaha nope. The order came out 15 minutes after seating which is not too long, but the app advertised it would be there on arrival. Both the wings and the drumsticks were drastically smaller than I remembered. I went to the Sunnyvale location at the beginning of last year and they were still massive. Both the wings and drums here were smaller than Wingstop's. I can see the look of disappointment around the table. I purposely only ordered 15 because I thought these would be huge or at least the drumsticks. The texture was light and crispy - a lot different than I remembered, but every piece was a little overcooked. I'm probably the only vegetarian who's been here but my friend and I came with the intent to not eat chicken but to get bibimbap and rice cake! We immediately got seated, and the food came out fairly quickly on a Friday evening. The Tteokbokki was insanely cheesy to the point where the sauce was a light pink rather than a bright red (aka Americanized rice cake) but the rice cake was chewy and cooked well. We also shared a bibimbap with fried tofu which rather than in a big stone pot came in a small stone bowl. We have eaten there many times with our family but yesterday we placed and order for pick up because of the shelter in place. The phone line wasn't working so we had to place an order in person. We ordered one large comb spicy and one large soy garlic and neither one touched the way it should've. The spicy was not one bit spicy and the soy garlic had no flavor at all. The Wrost service that I have received from any Korean restaurant. We arrived at 7pm and there were hardly any customers there. Service was great! We had the boneless chicken and the honey soy was delicious. The only downside was the coating was a bit too much.

We saw this restaurant a few days ago....and planned to stop by Friday!! Well today is Friday and we stopped by....very nice aesthetics (plain, simple, cute and CLEAN) bathrooms VERY CLEAN major plus for me! Service was AMAZING!! We were greeted, patiently assisted! Fast forward to the FOOD! BOMBBBB!!!! Should be called Bombchon lol Fresh chicken, fresh fries, fresh slaw!! Good tap water! My daughter loves Korean food and this place is in her top 5 restaurants! Mines as well. She failed to get before and after but she had a 10 piece chicken and fries! Thank you all for the good food...we are new to Cali so this was a warm welcome! read more
