I had been to another location of this chain in Monterey, so I was excited to see one closer to home! This place is very clean and has lots of indoor and outdoor places to sit. The food is made fresh which is really good. We ordered two different bowls. I like how you can customize it - noodles or rice or just veggies. What kind of protein? They have over half a dozen varieties of chicken, a vegetarian option (tofu), teriyaki steak, and salmon. The veggies that come with it are really well seasoned - cabbage, zucchini, and a bit of broccoli. We liked our bowls and loved the fresh crab rangoons which were more like little empanadas in shape. I visited for the first time yesterday and the cashier was super friendly and helpful with the menu. The noodles were al dente, it could use another minute or two in boiling water. It was pretty flavorful but it was a bit on the dry side. My spicy tofu bowl was not spicy at all but it was delicious. Gavin and Ronnie finished their bowl, so I can safely assume they enjoyed it as there were no leftovers. They gave us 3 teriyaki sauce cups on the side, but perhaps a sample of their other sauces might have been a good addition. My bowl was pretty dry from an overall perspective. I loved the portions of the bowl and it can be used as a reusable container. The chicken quality is top tier with lots of flavor whether without sauce or with their in house teriyaki sauce.
