Ordered delivery and the food was unacceptable. We had the crab crusted cod with broccoli and garlic mash potatoes. First thing the box the food was packed in was cardboard not the usual plastic sturdy container. The bag was obviously packed poorly and the box was soggy and flimsy. The fish looked like it had fell or a piece of it was missing. The food was ice cold and the lemon garnish was in the bottom of the bag. Also ordered a cheeseburger PLAIN add bacon with fries. Instead we got a fully dressed bacon cheeseburger on a soggy bun with cold fries. With COVID being a real thing we chose not to eat the fish dinner and throw it away. A complete waste of money. Worst dining experience in quite some time! We went to this establishment for lunch. There were maybe four tables total. It took well over an hour to get our meals. My sirloin was ordered a medium well and it was delivered medium rare (per the server). The chicken was fatty and grainy and everything was luke warm. Bonefish in Destin will always have a special place in our heart. First the good, Robbie seated us and he was very helpful, friendly and got us drinks right away. Though he is a little heavy handed on the eyeliner. Nick our waiter was fantastic, such a nice helpful young man. The appetizer, Bang Bang shrimp is great, though I recommend getting the sauce on the side! The pot stickers were average and elevated when Nick brought out a pan Asian sauce. The corn chowder was barely warm. The steak was over cooked, the lobster looked more like crawfish cause they were so tiny, the crab cakes were middling ...the Tuna was not fresh and was very fishy smelling. Bailee the manager was slightly doubtful of our complaint on the tuna, which she easily could have verified as it was still on the fishy smelling plate. I had gone to another location and they had forgotten part of my food order and failed to bring that top notch service, but I thought I'd give them another chance. Down here in Destin while on holiday. The place has lots excitement, the ambience is elegant, although dimly lit. Booths and tables cover the dining floor, a nice front area with a bar and high top tables. If you have trouble seeing, you might not be able to read the menu. I evaluate a place on 4 things, food, service, price and ambience. This place excelled on 2. The food was decent nothing to rave home about and the ambience was sub par. Everything else. Below par or shall I say terrible. The wait staff could be trained customer service, from serving plates, to clearing and the abrupt attitude that came with the service. The food was nothing special. The drink prices I'd say were reasonable some reason on 5$ a drink. So they do get 2 stars but if I went on about the experience here, I'd be going on about endless negativity. While in Destin, maybe think twice and go to somewhere else that knows How to treat customers, because in the area seafood can be found at one of many places on the coast. read more

We were visiting Destin,Fl and decided to go to one of our favorite places for dinner on a Friday; have one near us in Illinois. We've tried different fish/dishes and haven't had a bad meal. Now, this is a prime time on a Friday and without reservation, we expected to wait. So, we're told 20 min. I asked about the empty bar tables and was told "no server, only at the bar or wait. After 20 min. we're seated only to realize the dining room area is pretty empty. That for sure didn't make sense; why the wait? There were at least 4 maybe 5 servers and 4 more by the front, just not organized and SLOW. One server takes your order, someone else brings water, someone else drink and so on. She just took the order and brought the check; and No One to take empty dishes; not just our table. Staff needs training and organizing and communication. It was a nice evening for seating outside. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the meal for 2 was delicious. Variety on the menu-pretty good So, as a patron of Bonefish Grill I would like to know: Why no people? Why are they making you wait? Are they new to the job? Do they want that location to fail with all the competition? Where is the manager? I am torn between 3 and 4 stars. I want to give four because I felt like the front of house staff as doing their best to provide a nice experience. However, the food coming out of the kitchen at this location was super-meh. Therefore, I feel like giving four would give other Yelpers a mis-conception of what to expect here, and that's not really fair to the public. I like the concept of Bonefish, and the company that owns this business, in general, but this seems to be their weakest theme restaurant. My two kids and I ate there tonight on a surprise decision to get dinner! I love, love this Bonefish! The service was absolutely great and the food was delicious! We started with the Bang Bang shrimp and they were awesome! This was the first time we've ever tasted them and we are hooked! The sauce is just too good! My Lilly chicken was perfect!! The chicken had the right temperature and it was super tender! The side veggies were the right consistency and crunchy! The Au Gratin was creamy and very tasty! My kids had the Caesar chicken salad and absolutely loved it! We also got some dessert to take home and the key lime pie is out of this world! My kids are still munching on the brownies! I am so glad we stopped there to eat! This Bonefish was a great experience to eat at! We will come back and try some other dishes on the menu!!
