Good food, subpar experience though When we were seated, we realized we didnt get any utensils. Our appetizers were served but the runner went away so fast I didnt get a chance to ask for utensils so I walked up to the host stand to ask for them and they looked at me a little funny heh. Our server was nice but I felt like we were kind of being rushed out or looked over. I dont know if I would be back but I did enjoy the food we had.

Service was professional and helpful. Food was good but heavily salted from the olive oil dip that comes with the delicious crusty loaf of bread, to the chargrilled oysters, to the chimichurri sauce in the bistro filet. Steak was cooked perfectly. French fries too. Swordfish was a bit overcooked. Broccoli was flavorful but on the mushy side for my taste. Low lighting, and noise from the bar permeates the dining room, so it wasn't ideal for older eyes and ears.

The bang bang shrimp are great appetizer. They have a special on Wednesday for 7$ for bang bang shrimp so the place was pretty busy. The service was good and we enjoyed our food. The steak was tender and easy to cut and the sea bass was fork tender and delicious.

So I was told I'm too bougie for Bonefish lol. I love this place & idk who knows it. We arrived on Valentine's eve @5 pm & the place was starting to get really crowded. We grabbed a high top booth at the bar ( my favorite seat). Our group of four were strictly here for drinks & finger foods. Service started out slow but ended up being very good. Our server was efficient & all our food came out just as we ordered. What I like about bonefish is that if you order something there once and you go back and order it again it's always just as good. I've never been disappointed tonight. We ordered a bunch of special drinks off the happy hour menu the appetizers we ordered or off of the regular menu it's except for one which was on the happy hour menu that one was chicken egg rolls. These were well stuffed eggrolls with chicken and spices served with a pink spicy sauce and also a type of sweet duck sauce on the side. We also ordered the imperial dip Which is a seafood dip ( had some small shrimps) and cheese served hot with crispy house made tortilla chips. We all loved this one! Of course we ordered two orders of Bang Bang shrimp a Bonefish signature dish as well as,AHI TUNA WONTON CRISPS billed a seasoned and seared ahi tuna served on a crispy wonton with fresh slaw,Thai chili glaze and a chef-crafted wasabi cream sauce. This was very good but missing something. So I asked for soy sauce & drizzled it on top. This made the dish perfect! After all this is we were totally full especially because we had some of the delicious complementary bread that bonefish brings out with a pesto dipping sauce. By the time we were leaving the place was totally packed and there was a long wait. I guess other folks don't think they're too bougie either!

Today's service was top tier. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure to keep checking in. The food came out quick. We did not order any appetizers this time but I had the Parmesan Crusted Trout, house salad, and garlic whipped mashed potatoes. My hubby had the pork chop and same sides. The ambiance was a little loud but not too bad. All in all a great experience this time around.

New weekend Brunch at Bonefish was delicious! My wife was serious about coming to get these wicked drinks, she loves her wicked. We sat at the bar, our server was awesome. She gave us great service. The ambiance is always cool and sexy in bonefish. We live close by so it's always a great go to. 5 stars, we will be back again real soon.

Wicked themed Martini's! The ozmopolitan was really good!

I went to Bonefish on Monday after work. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the do $5 martini's on Monday! They also had 2 Wicked themed specialty martinis and specialty martinis are included in the $5 special. I went during happy hour and sat at a high top on the bar side. They were pretty packed on that side so the area was lively. The service was amazing. My server was very attentive and things arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I had the "Ozmopolitan" martini and it was really good. It was garnished with Galinda's wand and the drink included edible glitter. To eat, I ordered the Filet with a side of broccoli and a side shaved Brussel sprouts salad. Unfortunately the food wasn't the best. The steak was cooked to the temperature requested (medium. However the steak and broccoli lacked flavor. Also, I was disappointed in the shaved Brussel sprouts salad. The description does say it includes a spring salad mix, however there was hardly any shaved Brussels. Given the title of the salad, I expected them to be the lead, not mostly spring salad. It was also drenched in the dressing. Their bread and pesto dip is good but aside from that, I didn't enjoy my food unfortunately.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Our party of 5 sat in the bar area and it was very comfortable. We ordered drinks of which included a Smokey Old Fashioned. We all agreed it was the best old fashioned any of us had ever had! Will be back just for that. Several different fish dinners were ordered and all were great. One of the fish orders was still cold in the center, and was sent back and made right. Ordered the pork chop and it was very good. Had the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer which was excellent. Outside seating is available. Wait staff was attentive.

Bonefish Grill 2400 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 Bonefish Grill Blues: When Dinner Goes from "Yay!" to "Nay!" https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1We2ARpE3m/?mibextid=wwXIfr All the staff was very nice Hey, Facebook fam! So, picture this: We just wrapped up this super happy event (think confetti, cheers, and zero drama), and our awesome host decides to treat us all to dinner at Bonefish Grill in Jacksonville Beach (2400 3rd St S, for those of you brave enough to venture there). I was pumped--Bonefish sounds like a place where seafood dreams come true, right? Spoiler: My dreams turned into a salty nightmare. But let's dive in (pun intended) and break it down, dish by disastrous dish. Buckle up, it's a wild ride! First off, our server was this genuinely nice dude--bless his heart, he was all smiles and enthusiasm. But honey, he needed more training than a puppy learning to fetch. He mixed up our orders like he was DJing a remix of our appetizers, and at one point, I think he asked if I wanted my water "rare or well-done." Adorable, but chaotic. We tipped him well anyway--consider it tuition for Server School 101. Onto the food... Oh boy. Started with the Bang Bang Shrimp--you know, the famous one that's supposed to explode with flavor? Well, it exploded alright... right into a salt mine! It was so salty, I felt like I'd been marooned on a desert island and forced to lick the ocean floor. My taste buds were screaming, "Abandon ship!" Not learning my lesson, we tried the Calamari. Guess what? Also too salty! It was like the chef had a grudge against my sodium levels. Crunchy on the outside, but inside? A squid's revenge plot. I half-expected it to come with a side of high blood pressure meds. Saved by the soup: The Crab Corn Chowder was decent--creamy, corny (in a good way), and not trying to pickle my tongue. It was like the reliable friend at a bad party who shows up with snacks. Solid, but nothing to write home about... unless home is a chowder factory. Main event: My Filet Mignon. Oh, the horror! I asked for medium-rare, and what did I get? A steak that looked like it had been through a zombie apocalypse--overcooked, drier than a desert tumbleweed, and colder than my ex's heart. Seriously, did the chef use a blowtorch and then forget it in the freezer? I had to chew it like it was beef jerky from a survival kit. Meanwhile, my dining buddies were eyeing it like, "Is that edible or exhibit A in a crime scene?" Sides to the rescue! The Whipped Potatoes were actually good--fluffy, buttery, and the kind of comfort food that makes you forget your troubles... for about 30 seconds. And the Street Corn? Hands down my favorite part of the meal! Grilled to perfection, slathered in that zesty goodness-- it was like a fiesta in my mouth. If the whole meal had been street corn, I'd be a regular. (Pro tip: Order a truckload of this and skip the rest.) Dessert? The Strawberry Cheesecake was... okay. Not bad, not wow--just "meh" in cake form. It was like the cheesecake tried its best but forgot to bring the party. All in all, I was really, VERY disappointed with Bonefish Grill tonight. I expected fresh seafood vibes and upscale deliciousness, but it felt more like a comedy of errors with a side of salt. Maybe they were having an off night, or maybe the chef was auditioning for a role in "Kitchen Nightmares: The Sequel." Either way, I'm steering clear--far, far away--like, I'd rather swim to Cuba than go back anytime soon. If you're craving seafood, hit up somewhere else, folks. Spill the tea! #BonefishGrill #RestaurantFail #SaltyAdventures #FoodieNightmare #JacksonvilleBeachEats (Photos attached: Blurry pic of my sad steak for proof )

Came for a late lunch here with a coworker in August (2024) and I still can't stop thinking about the dirty martini that she recommended me to try . It was so olive-y, vinegary and spicy from the drink's star, vodka (: . To accompany that, I ordered one of the lunch specials (which all read appetizingly and appeared yummy), the Signature pasta made with Penne. A perfect portion, ordered with extra seasoning and spicy, I ate the entire dish! At the table, an order of Bang Bang shrimp was shared and devoured!! That fried shrimp is addicting, just like the bread! I forgot how delicious Bonefish is, and the lunch menu is very diverse! And our waiter was so helpful and nice. Will definitely be back.

Great food! Flavor and presentation and helping size. Comfortable seating and welcoming atmosphere. The food came fairly quickly and hot. The only drawback was the server. We had Joran. He was quite dismissive and somewhat arrogant which detracted from an overall good experience. One of the Partners, another Jordan, was kind enough to introduce himself and make sure we were enjoying our dining experience. Overall I would recommend the Bonefish Grill for a great meal.

    Butterfish special

Went on Friday since I couldn't get a Saturday (valentines) reservation. Restaurant was crowded but we were seated immediately. Service was good, food was ok. I had the butterfish special with shrimp and scallops. The dish was good not great but everything was room temp, broccoli was cold. No reason for a dinner not to come out hot, little disappointing.

It was fun to see the fresh caught fish in a display case on the way to order. At the end of our visit I chatted with one of the staff and she was super friendly to this out of towner. I personally had one of the specials - Cobia grilled with teriyaki glaze and mango salsa and fried okra instead of fries. The fish was cooked perfectly, not dried out, the flavor combination was well balanced. The okra was plentiful and, while I prefer cornmeal batter (Cracker Barrel style), this batter was seasoned just right and cooked to a nice golden color. I noticed that even though everything has a fried option, the restaurant didn't smell greasy or fishy. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich that he enjoyed and my nephew had a cheeseburger that looked delicious too. No one walked away hungry or disappointed today. Only thing I missed was trying dessert, but we headed out just before it got busy with the dinner crowd. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to friends!

The restaurant is situated so magnificently right on the water that it almost feels as though you are floating directly on the river. Upon arriving, one is greeted by a rather striking shark specimen suspended right at the entrance which gave us quite a playful laugh at first glance Stepping inside, the interior is wonderfully clean, vibrant, and well-appointed, featuring lovely artwork and charming private dining nooks. Though it was briskly busy for Sunday service, the ambiance remained thoroughly pleasant and impeccably maintained. We were seated toward the back of the establishment, offering an utterly magnificent, unobstructed view of the river. To begin, I selected a crisp Corona Extra with a fresh slice of lemon, while my assistant opted for a fine beer. For our luncheon, we ordered a platter of raw oysters, which were extraordinarily fresh, perfectly chilled, and thoroughly divine for a late-afternoon meal. To top off a splendid day, we indulged in a warm cinnamon roll for dessert a delightfully decadent sweet finish. Watching the breathtaking sunset cast its glow over the water made for a truly magical afternoon. Impeccable views, fresh cuisine, and a wonderful atmosphere I shall most certainly be returning!
