I forget how awesome this place can be. I try not to go to franchises but we had a gift card to use. We chose dinner for two which came with bang bang shrimp, 2 salads, 3 sides, and a four fish flight. Everything tasted amazing! It was a pretty good price for all we received! Service was good. Nothing extraordinarily, and nothing was bad. We ate on the patio. It was a bit chilly out so the heaters were so nice to have. Took my wife to Bonefish Grill tonight. Nice place inside University Town Center. My wife loved her filet with chimichuri sauce. I had the mahi-mahi with jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were good, but the fish was dry even covered with the mango salsa - so maybe overcooked. The service was good. And so were the "social hour" drinks. I just wish their advertised web page discount would have made it into my email box. It never did. My wife will want to go back, but I won't be in a rush. read more

My husband won a raffle prize that was an excursion for 6 to Bonefish Grill. Our party was treated to exemplary service and a delicious meal. My husband is allergic to shellfish and Jalissa (our waitress) took extra care to make sure he didn't eat anything where the shellfish was not evident. Chris, the manager, was kind enough to check on us a couple times to be sure things were going well. Consistently good quality fish, but disastrous "curbside delivery" last night. I followed their instructions and reported my parking space number, then waited AN HOUR after my order was ready. Turned out I was supposed to come inside and pick up my own bag, contrary to the sign: "We will bring your food to you." When I finally called them, they were appropriately apologetic, but they still assumed I wanted to take my bag of cold fish and shrimp with me. I asked them to redo my order, and they cheerfully did ... and added a free dessert. But my son (the recipient of this meal) had to wait from 6:52pm until 8:40pm before he could eat. IAter shopping I went to Bonefish Grille and an ordered a Chardonay to relax during happy hour. It wasn;t the same wine that they served previously. After taking a few sipps I asked if the wine had changed. They said yes. I told them it was awful. Instead of getting me a a new wine they just said explained that the company had replaced the previous wine and I could order a premium wine. We went there with family who was visiting from California and during the meal we saw giant roaches crawling around. We lost our appetite and were shocked. Come hungry, leave hungry. I had previously recommended Bonefish Grill for its consistently good food and service. Sadly, my recent experience was neither. It was 5:30 pm on a Monday when the restaurant was half empty, yet it took 30 minutes to get lemon for my drink. I ordered a bowl of corn chowder soup and sea bass, a $37 main course. When the fish arrived, I was surprised to see a 3x4x1/2 inch piece of fish and a couple of broccoli on an appetizer-sized plate. When the manager finally arrived at my request, he said it was the standard 9 oz portion. The fish on my plate was not half that portion. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch between meetings. Was served promptly at the bar, where I ordered a coffee and the Florida Cobb salad. The coffee took awhile, as it was fresh brewed, so no complaints there. I was offered bread and oil, which also took about 10 minutes to arrive, but it was delicious and worth the wait. My salad came out about 10 minutes later. The flavors were fresh and excellent, and the chicken was clearly grilled well. I loved the combo of the mango, walnuts, and avocado. I do think goat cheese would go better with this salad than blue. Overall, a decent experience! I've eaten at various Bonefish Grills through the years. Some were ok, some not so good. I ate at this particular one yesterday and it was awful. Note to Chef: Caesar Salads should have GREEN lettuce in them and if ordered with "grilled chicken", the chicken should at least be warmed before dumping it on the salad. Notes to Bardender/Server: 1. When a guest tells you that a menu item was AWFUL, send a manager over. 2. When a guest tells you that Chef should be embarrassed at what he prepared for a guest and obviously doesn't take any pride in what he serves, don't simply agree with the guest. 3. When a guest asks if the General Manager if available, don't just say "no", offer to find the manager on duty. Notes to General Manager: 1. When you're not there, make sure someone responsible is. 2. When there's a pandemic going on and dining out is off 50%, try to do a better job at serving the few people who show up. 3. As one of my managers used to tell staff, "if you can lean, you can clean". Stopped in for an impromptu Happy Hour visit and was very satisfied. The prices are great with $6 food and drink selections. The atmosphere was nice with music playing softly. The restaurant was well-maintained with more than enough seating and not over-crowded. The servers were very accommodating. I was really surprised that on a Friday night with it being so busy that the food was served within minutes of ordering. The food was AWESOME!!! The calamari taste excellent with a very taste sauce for dipping. The corn and crab chowder wasn't too rich and the crab taste fresh. The loaf of bread with oil and herbs is always a favorite. Rumor has it this is the busiest Bonefish in Florida. It certainly always seems this way. A few years ago we would stop in for inner, this last year I wouldn't even attempt it, but I'll still order takeout. It's absolute madness during the high season, and the staff cannot seem to keep up with it. It's the time of year to definitely check your order or to m are a reservation. However, I've noticed over the last year a guy named Brad working the front desk - if he is there things seem to be smooth sailing. If he was there all the time this would be a 5-star review. I've watch elderly couples rip into this kid because they cannot be seated on time in a booth and will have to wait an additional 10 min. and he remains cool, calm, collected and polite. When the restaurant is crowded, it think it just feels too crowded. There's not enough places for people to wait and fill up in the entrance, which makes it difficult to get in and outside for wait staff to go in and out to outside tales. If you are there in the high season at dinner time, and have an issue with crowds, maybe see If you can get a table outside. Bonefish is on the end of the plaza so though outside seating is on a wider version of a sidewalk, it's a good set up. I also think it is worth checking out the Happy Hour. read more

The Chilean sea bass $34 was an absolute joke. Such a tiny piece and tasteless. Super Disappointed and pissed off! The garlic mashed potatoes were not what they used to be, very bland. We both threw out the potatoes and the jasmine rice, tasteless. I was so upset spending so much for food that was SO not worth it. Last time we went in 2019 the food was awful. We decided to give it another try. What a BIG MISTAKE!! Especially on Valentine's day. Thank you for ruining our dinner and mood. Awful service!!! Came in waited 5 min at the door and finally someone came and took us in to be seated. We wanted to be seated in a booth and there was at least 5 open booths with no reservations and no one seated at them. We asked our waitress to sit in one of them and was told they are reserved clearly they weren't and she sent someone else to talk to us who told us either you sit on a table or leave after waiting for 10 min she came back let us sit but was very disrespectful. My experience with Bonefish is mostly good at other locations. Our gluten-free dining group had an all-around bad experience. 4 of the six entrees served were horribly overcooked. One of us sent their dinner back to the kitchen for a replacement... which took more than 30 minutes. (Fish cooks in 8 minutes) The manager EVENTUALLY apologized after we called her over and she took the one meal not served off the bill. Here's what I expect.... the manager to come to the table immediately to remedy the situation and to make sure the replacement meal is delivered quickly... jumps the line in the kitchen. I expect the manager to show some empathy. If they wanted our business in the future... offer at the very least an incentive to come again... btw- Drinks are good. read more

Don't waste your time or your money. I should have known, the place was empty. My order was wrong. Wrong side dish. Beans were undercooked almost raw. Swordfish was way way overcooked and dry. Thermidor topping was too spicy to eat. Menu made no mention of spice, just cream and sherry was the description. No cream, no sherry and very little lobster. You are a fish restaurant you should be able to cook fish. We explained everything thing to the waitress. She did not get the manager, she apologized and took my money. It was my 33rd anniversary. I have been going here since they opened. They always use to have a good menu and used to care about the food they served. But it seems everything has changed along with their menu. I can't even get seared ahi tuna done right anymore (probably the simplest things on the menu, and for a fish restaurant should be no propblem). About the only thing they make consistently is bang bang shrimp. Update 7/30/2018: Went over the weekend to give them another try. And went with a big party. Mainly due to location or it never would have happened. It was straight up 50/50 with quality. Every other person had problems. Of course nobody wanted to say anything. I did of course. Sent my Burger back twice. Never got it right. Fully well done the first time. Raw the second. I want medium. Somehow the inside of my second Burger was well done while the outside was undercooked!? Come on! The two steaks to my left and right were blasphemous overcooked. Everybody that ordered crab cake had shell in it. The sauce they serve with the crab cake is so over spiced nobody could tolerate it and I eat habanero peppers whole. So that says something. Overcooked chicken, overcooked fish, undercooked fish, basically everything they grill was not right. I actually did have properly cooked seafood in their Imperial dip and soup but once again, crab shell filled my mouth on nearly every bite. I could go on but it's pointless, this place is a complete joke just avoid it. Quality control had gone out the window!
