We were treated by having a server named Maysonne assigned to our table. In short - he was exceptional - always knew when to stop by and when you disappear! Enjoyed my dinner at Bonefish Grill tonight. I arrived around 8:00 PM and the restaurant was extremely busy. I grabbed a seat at the bar where I was greeted promptly, and my drink order was taken immediately. I enjoyed several ice-cold bottled Bud Light beers while looking over the menu and taking in the sites. Throughout the night, the bar staff of three were very friendly, engaged, and attentive to the needs of all the guests seated at the bar. After placing my order, I was offered complementary bread with extra virgin olive oil. Although the bread was very eye appealing and tempting, I declined the offer because I didn't want to get too full before my meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Stuffed Shrimp which is described on the menu as jumbo shrimp stuffed with lobster imperial, topped with lemon butter sauce, served with seasonal vegetable and jasmine rice. The Lobster Stuffed Shrimp was very good, and I would order it again. First, the dish was elegantly presented with every ingredient perfectly placed to enhance the presentation. There were six overstuffed jumbo shrimps topped with a lemon cream sauce and lightly garnished with diced tomatoes and shallots. The shrimps were perfectly cooked, firm and tender. The lobster meat stuffing was also very good with a few chunks of lobster (probably one piece per stuffed shrimp). The jasmine rice was light, fluffy, and paired well with the main ingredients. OMG, the broccoli was probably the best broccoli I have ever tasted. The broccoli was done right, tender, crisp, well-seasoned while the natural taste of the broccoli came through. . I met my husband at Bonefish Grill so that is our anniversary restaurant. This year marked our 12th year anniversary. The restaurant is always clean and the servers very attentive. I love the decor, classy and minimal. This year for some reason the food all seamed a little off with flavor. I started with the grilled oysters, not bad but nothing to really talk about either. I can say the bread and dip is always good and offer plenty of it! We will return in 2026 for the 13th anniversary because it's just our thing but hopefully the food will be back up to par. You can never go wrong by starting with Bang Bang Shrimp. This dish has been a staple at Bonefish for years and is packed with flavor, featuring a slight kick of heat. It pairs perfectly with the complimentary ciabatta bread they drop off at the table. Today, I went for lunch and ordered the Bang Bang Tacos. They are fresh, seasoned, and light, served with fries. It's the perfect portion for a lunch-sized meal. I usually go for the sirloin and crab cake combo if I come for dinner. I truly love the mix of both flavors in one bite, and it's unbelievably savory when topped with the remoulade sauce. We decided to eat here on a whim after we had an extremely disappointing experience across the street at Food+Beer restaurant where we walked out since we weren't getting any service. As soon as we walked into Bonefish, we were greeted right away and sat down at the bar where the bartender promptly greeted us and provided us menus. We were already so relieved that we decided to come here. They brought the fresh bread out promptly as well which we appreciated. Food was very good, my only comment is in regards to some staff members talking right in front of us and one was also commenting how they get to go home soon (one more hour left until restaurant closes). Amazing experience from the service to the food! Appetizer we had the bang bang shrimp. Entrees we ordered a butter fish which was one of their specials and blackened wood fire grilled mahi. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. Our waiter did a wonderful job as well! Desert was a chocolate lava cake with strawberries, one of the best desserts. We have always had a wonderful experience here. It starts with actually being able to make a reservation! Our daughter was in from MN and we just wanted to feel a little spoiled by being waited on in an upscale restaurant. There are many in the North Tampa Wesley Chapel that take reservations so this was an easy choice though, so close to Christmas we weren't sure how things would be. We shouldn't have given it a second thought. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm time. We were escorted to a corner booth where Wendy V was our server. The menu changes and it was a hard choice, starting with the cocktails. The martini was good, but my daughter and I had the smoked old fashion. Fun presentation of those and they were awesome, but admittedly I am a fan of Woodford Reserve. These also had dark cherry and bitters. Super smooth and I hope I see this one on the menu again. To accompany dinner we had a bottle of the Antinori wine, also very good. Starters included 2 Caesar salads and the greens looked freshly cut, and the chowder which was good. Meals were salmon (2) and the shrimp/linguini pasta. My husband had a side of the creamed spinach which he really enjoyed. We all shared a very large slice of cake which was intriguingly flavored with lime, and accented with toasted coconut. It definitely was sized right for the 3 of us and a deliciously light ending to the meal with our coffee. The only negative was that cappuccino was not available. If Wendy showed her experience with great service during the meal, her expertise in handling the disappointing news was done as smoothly as it could have been. We ordered bang bang chicken as an Appetizer since we had a shrimp allergy in our party that was the only good thing about our visit. We ordered the sirloin dinner which was overcooked and chewy when I asked for it to be medium. The salmon was also overcooked and rubbery, my side of asparagus was raw. Appetizers Bang Bang Shrimp 10/10: A classic, never misses. Shrimp Caprese 2/10: A seasonal offering. Overall lacked flavor. Entrees Blackened Mahi Mahi 9/10: Accompanied with a side of the signature lemon sauce it was delicious. Signature Pasta with Salmon 3/10: The sauce was bland and the overall meal lacked depth. The redemption was the salmon. I commend the waiters attempt to bring raw garlic and more sauce but it still missed the creole flavor the dish claims. We were greeted and seated right away, our waiter Matt was probably one of the best waiters we ever had anywhere. They give you bread with the oil and seasoning to start off, similar to the one they give at Carrabas. We ordered the Chimmicuri bistro, Chicken Marsala, the Cod, and a kids Chicken Tenders. just came home from Bonefish, haven't been there in about a year. what happened? girl that seated us was very nice and professional, after that it went downhill. waitress wasn't friendly at all and you need that in this business. tried to get a smile out of her and that lasted 1/2 a second. maybe just tired of waitressing. got the chicken Marsala and upgraded on potatoes to au gratin and also upgraded to the Brussels sprouts. don't know what happened to the Marsala, could barely taste it. they brought me 3 plates, one was the au gratins that was double the size of the chicken. chicken breast was very small. the Brussels sprouts was the best thing of the meal. so I had small chicken breast on one plate, au gratins potatoes on another plate that took up the whole plate and Brussels sprouts on the third plate. who does that? was raining out so went to the bar for an irish coffee, this was something new. gave us cup of coffee, then a couple minutes later a shot of baileys in a glass for us to pour in ourselves. tasted it and was missing something, how about the irish whiskey. had to ask for that and she said she misunderstood. We've been regulars for almost three years and could not say anything less than perfect to such an admirable crew. Valentino, Louie and Manger Adam, kept us coming back week after week. Louie your drinks are top notch year after year. Valentina you're such a pleasure everytime you serve us (even with our dietary restrictions) both of you are simply amazing and will go far. Almost every time my family comes to visit, my dad suggests that we head to Bonefish (especially for a Wednesday Bang Bang $6 Shrimp night). This location has been around for quite a few years and I have visited multiple times. I've never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and served hot. Of course, I would recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp. Little known fact: they also serve Bang Bang Chicken which is even more delicious!! I've had the Salmon, Tilapia and most recently the Bonefish Cobb Salad with Shrimp. The salad was awesome!! They have many options for healthier eating as well. The prices can add up quickly which is my only woe. You do get a bread basket with oil for dipping at the beginning of your meal which is a plus. The setting is dark and intimate and the restaurant is very clean. Friendly staff and good drink selection. Happy hour seems like a great deal. I hadn't been to a Bonefish Grill (Chicago) since they opened up, but I'm on vacation and decided to take my daughter and her fiancé to celebrate their anniversary. The hostess and front help seemed a bit disorganized, but nice. Nobody ever mentioned the anniversary though. There seemed to be only one bartender so drinks dragged. Food was decent although the "crab topped" fries were not crab topped so we asked to change the order. Our waiter, Jonathan, couldn't have been more accommodating, kind, knowledgeable, professional and humble, funny and hardworking. I had to send the rice back & get the mashed potatoes because the rice was both hard & gummy...it tastes like under cooked & over cookedcold rice mixed together & it was cold. Amazing experience! So we went to Carrabba's next door & they had a 40 min wait. We put our ph# down to be texted once a table was available & decided to see if there was a spot at the bar at Bonefish for a quick drink while we waited on Carrabba's. We don't eat fish, so we would have never gone to Bonefish, but John came over & was so friendly & attentive, then we found some great non fish dishes, so we decided to give it a try & WOW!
